Abstract

The purpose of this study is to create the formation of students' attitudes and understanding of teaching materials through a contextual approach by comparing the use of two methods that are almost the same, namely the demonstration method and the field trip method. The contextual approach is very compatible with the 2013 curriculum, in which students are required to be able to construct their learning through an approach by leading to real-world learning. The research method used is the experimental method that tests the use of two learning methods that exist in contextual learning, namely the control class treatment with the Demonstration method and the experimental class treatment with the field trip method. It was found the significance of the differences in learning by using a contextual approach, especially using the field trip method compared to using a contextual approach with a demonstration method. Learning done with field trips results in higher scores in terms of understanding as well as student attitudes compared to demonstration methods on the same contextual approach. Bringing students directly into the real world while providing students the opportunity to socialize with the world around them and learn to interact in the right way so that they can create better attitudes than learning in the classroom.

Abstract

The purpose of Community Service to improve the skills and knowledge of Indonesian students who are members of PERMITHA in compiling scientific articles and processing quantitative data, so that they can produce scientific works that are worthy of being published in reputable international journals such as Scopus. This activity was carried out on May 15, 2024 which was attended by around 20 participants held at SEA JUNCTION Bangkok Thailand. The results of the respondent data analysis found an increase in the understanding and motivation of training participants. Participant responses were dominated by positive responses to the quality of the Trainer, the quality of the training material, the quality of the facilities and accommodation provided in the training activities

Abstract

This community service that aims to improve teachers' ability to use technology in Special School PGRI Kamal. In the initial observation, the results were obtained that there were various challenges faced by the teacher council at Special School PGRI Kamal in the implementation of learning for students with special needs such as the deaf and speech-impaired. The limited number of teachers which causes an additional workload for teachers. Community service activities are needed by providing workshops. The workshop  activities held included the use of audio, visual, and audiovisual media which were carried out offline. The workshop held in this service program is expected to improve teachers' skills in the use of  digital media platforms to support learning activities

Abstract

This study aims to find out the National Standard of Education indicators that are the most dominant in influencing vocational schools, especially in producing the expected outcomes. The research is aimed at vocational schools in the field of economics and finance in the city of Surabaya. The data collection includes NSE assessment data from BAN-SM and employment opportunities from 22 schools. The object of further research is processed with the WARP PLS program. The study results found that there is a variable signification between the National Standard of Education on Employment Opportunities of Vocational School Graduates. Positive influence indicates that the higher/better the National Standard of Education, the higher/improved the outcome of Vocational School Graduates. Based on the results of the analysis indicator, the study found the NSE 8 indicator is the Education Assessment Standard which has the highest component weight value that indicates that the NSE's institutions are most important in producing graduates who are absorbed in the workforce. Then, the second-highest order is the NSE's indicative 2 and 1, namely process and content standards. The indicator with the lowest value is the indicative standard educators and educational personnel and facilities and infrastructure standard.

Abstract

This study explores the relocation of Indonesia's capital from Jakarta to Nusantara (IKN), a strategic initiative aimed at addressing environmental, economic, and social challenges while fostering sustainable economic growth. Utilizing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology, the research examines existing studies to assess the potential and challenges associated with the project. Key findings highlight IKN's role in redistributing economic activities, mitigating Jakarta's overpopulation and infrastructure strain, and promoting regional development in East Kalimantan. The project is expected to enhance national GDP distribution, create millions of jobs, and position IKN as a smart and sustainable urban model. However, concerns over financing, environmental impacts, and socio-cultural adaptations present critical challenges that require comprehensive strategic planning. This study contributes to the discourse on national capital relocation, providing insights for policymakers to optimize the economic and environmental benefits of this transformative endeavor.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh immersion dalam penggunaan TikTok terhadap interac­tivity dan Economic Active Learning mahasiswa Pendidi­kan Ekonomi di Kota Surabaya, serta menguji pengaruh interactivity terhadap Economic Active Learning. Peneli­tian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan meto­de survei, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi di Kota Surabaya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier untuk menguji hubungan antar­variabel penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa immersion dalam penggunaan TikTok berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap interactivity mahasiswa, yang mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi keterlibatan kognitif dan afektif mahasiswa dalam menggunakan Tik­Tok, semakin tinggi pula tingkat interaksi yang dilakukan. Selain itu, immersion dalam penggunaan TikTok juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Economic Active Learning, karena keterlibatan yang tinggi mendo­rong mahasiswa lebih aktif dalam memahami dan meref­leksikan materi pembelajaran ekonomi. Selanjutnya, interactivity terbukti berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Economic Active Learning, yang menunjukkan bahwa fitur interaktif TikTok mampu meningkatkan partisipasi aktif dan pemikiran kritis mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran ekonomi. Hasil penelitian ini mene­gas­kan potensi TikTok sebagai media pendukung pembela­jaran ekonomi yang efektif di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penulisan artikel ilmiah pada guru Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Ekonomi di Kota Surabaya melalui program pelatihan dan lokakarya. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi adanya kewajiban guru untuk mempublikasikan karya ilmiah sebagai bagian dari pengembangan profesionalisme mereka, sesuai dengan Peraturan Menteri Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan Reformasi Birokrasi Nomor 16 Tahun 2009. Namun, banyak guru menghadapi kesulitan dalam menulis artikel ilmiah karena keterbatasan waktu dan kurangnya keterampilan penulisan akademik. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dirancang untuk membantu guru mengatasi tantangan tersebut dengan memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang metode penulisan akademik, penggunaan teknologi dalam penulisan ilmiah, dan proses pengiriman manuskrip melalui Online Journal System (OJS) yang disediakan oleh penerbit jurnal terpercaya untuk menghindari penerbit predator. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan secara tatap muka selama 8 jam dan dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan online selama satu minggu melalui grup WhatsApp. Materi pelatihan disampaikan oleh empat narasumber yang berpengalaman dalam publikasi artikel ilmiah, mencakup tiga topik utama: penyusunan manuskrip, penggunaan aplikasi menejer referensi Mendeley, dan prosedur pengiriman manuskrip ke jurnal tujuan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa peserta pelatihan mengalami peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam menulis artikel ilmiah, mengelola referensi, dan mengunggah manuskrip ke jurnal bereputasi. Program ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan profesionalisme guru dan mendukung pengembangan karir mereka.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh product display dan discount promotion terhadap keputusan impulse buying pada aktivitas live streaming di TikTok. Fenomena belanja melalui siaran langsung semakin berkembang seiring pesatnya transformasi digital, di mana tampilan produk yang menarik dan penawaran diskon terbukti mampu memicu keputusan pembelian secara spontan. Di sisi lain, perkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan seperti ChatGPT turut menghadirkan dinamika baru dalam literasi ekonomi digital, memperluas cara konsumen memperoleh informasi dan memahami strategi pemasaran berbasis teknologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei yang melibatkan mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis Universitas Negeri Surabaya sebagai responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) untuk menguji hubungan langsung maupun tidak langsung antarvariabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa product display dan discount promotion berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap impulse buying dalam konteks live streaming TikTok. Selain itu, literasi ekonomi digital berperan dalam memperkuat pemahaman konsumen terhadap proses transaksi dan strategi promosi berbasis teknologi. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi teknologi digital dalam strategi pemasaran online. Perusahaan perlu mengoptimalkan visualisasi produk serta menawarkan promosi yang menarik untuk meningkatkan pembelian impulsif. Di sisi lain, konsumen memerlukan literasi ekonomi digital yang memadai agar mampu mengambil keputusan pembelian secara lebih rasional dan bertanggung jawab di tengah arus promosi digital yang semakin masif.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of the Human Development Index (HDI) and economic growth on income inequality in East Java Province over the period 2015–2024. Despite sustained regional economic growth, income inequality remains a persistent issue, indicating that economic progress may not be evenly distributed across society. Method: This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary time-series data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Indonesia. The data are analyzed using the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression method to identify the partial and simultaneous effects of HDI and economic growth on income inequality, which is measured using the Gini ratio. Classical assumption tests are conducted to ensure the validity of the regression model. Results: The empirical findings indicate that both HDI and economic growth do not have a statistically significant effect on income inequality in East Java during the study period. The F-test shows significance (p = 0.010), but partial t-tests reveal insignificance for both HDI (p = 0.089) and economic growth (p = 0.308). This statistical pattern significant F-test with insignificant t-tests suggests potential model instability due to the limited sample size (N=10) and omitted variable bias, rather than meaningful economic relationships. Conversely, economic growth shows a positive coefficient, indicating a tendency to increase income inequality. These results suggest that economic growth in East Java has not yet been inclusive and that improvements in human development have not been sufficient to substantially mitigate inequality. Moreover, the HDI coefficient (-6.64E-05) is economically negligible: even a hypothetical 100-point increase in HDI would reduce the Gini ratio by only 0.00664, an effect too small to be policy-relevant.  Novelty: This study tests inclusive growth propositions at the provincial level in Indonesia and shows that aggregate time-series models with limited observations are insufficient to capture the complex links between growth, human development, and inequality in East Java. The findings provide a diagnostic contribution by emphasizing the need for spatially disaggregated data and more advanced econometric approaches in future research.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted learning activities in universities and schools temporarily stopping face-to-face learning, especially in Indonesia. Instead, learning is conducted remotely online. The application of online learning requires the readiness of several parties, from the provision of infrastructure to the students' side. The problem of cost, the readiness of educators and students in using technology is still the reason online learning can be carried out after the Covid19 pandemic in an effort to integrate technology in the world of education. How do we optimize the quality of Education through online learning. The research is aimed at knowing the effectiveness of online learning in learning media courses in the midst of a pandemic. It also includes planning, implementing, evaluating, as well as obstacles and how to overcome them. This research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive method. This study will describe the problems and solutions that occur in online learning so that the effectiveness of its implementation can be determined and recommendations for the feasibility of online learning can be determined in the future. Data collection techniques were carried out by documentary studies, observations, and interviews. The results showed that learning from semi-practical courses was running effectively. Various problems that become the issue of the weakness of online learning are solved by government policies, campus facilities and services that are able to support the achievement of learning objectives even in semi-practical courses.
