Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar Belakang : Anemia terjadi apabila jumlah sel darah merah berkurang, sehingga kemampuan membawa oksigen keseluruh tubuh akan berkurang. Secara global diketahui prevalensi anemia 1,62 miliar, dimana mayoritas penderita anemia adalah kelompok perempuan yang tidak hamil sebanyak 468,4 juta jiwa. Prevalensi tertinggi anemia adalah kelompok anak-anak perempuan usia sekolah ialah 47,4%, sedangkan pada pria hanya 12,7%. Kebutuhan asupan zat besi pada seorang wanita memiliki kebutuhan yang besar dibandingkan dengan kebutuhan laki-laki.Tujuan: mengetahui hubungan antara asupan mikronutrient (vitamin B6,vitamin B12, vitamin C, zat besi) dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri di Islamic Boarding School.Metode: case control dengan matching, kriteria matching yang digunakan umur 15-19 tahun, tidak sedang menstruasi pada saat pengecekan Hb, tidak puasa, dan sudah mengalami menstruasi, pengambilan data dengan cara non-propability yaitu dengan quota sampling. Populasi terdapat 1359 orang dengan sampel 92 orang, case 46 orang control 46 orang, pengambilan data asupan dengan kuesioner Semi Quantitative Food Frequency (SQ-FFQ). Pengujian dengan menggunakan uji statistik 2 berpasangan.Hasil: terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara asupan mikronutrient (Vitamin C p-value 0,04,OR 1,17,Vitamin B6 p-value 0,0001 OR 3,588, Vitamin B12 (p-value 0,0001)OR 0,27, zat besi (p-value 0,0001) OR 3,091) dengan kejadian anemia remaja di Islamic Boarding School.Kesimpulan: terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara asupan mikronutrient dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja di Islamic Boarding School.KATA KUNCI: anemia; vitamin B6; vitamin B12; vitamin C; zat besi ABSTRACTBackground : Anemia occurs when the number of red blood cells decreases, so that the ability to carry oxygen throughout the body will decrease. Abstract

Background. Anemia is one of the common health problems globally, where a condition of red blood cells is inadequate to meet the physiological needs caused by iron deficiency. The short term impact of anemia on adolescents can cause growth disorders, while the long term impact on pregnant women can cause pregnancy and childbirth complications. Date fruit is one of the fruits that containing iron (Fe), vitamin C, vitamin B complex, and folic acid that can help form red blood cells. Consuming the date fruits may improve formation of red blood cells and prevent anemia. Objective. To determine the effect of the intervention of date fruits in increasing hemoglobin levels among female adolescents at Islamic boarding school. Method. This research was performed using a pre-experimental study with one group pretest and posttest design. The sampling method in this research used purposive sampling with samples of 30 female adolescent students aged 15–18 years old at Modern Islamic Boarding School (Pondok Modern Gontor Putri 2), Ngawi, East Java, Indonesia. The inclusion criteria was adolescent suffering from anemia (age 15 until 18 years, Hb <12 g/dL, not menstruation during intervention). The intervention was carried out for seven days by giving seven date fruits (50 g) per day. Hemoglobin levels had recorded before and after intervention. The data were analyzed using paired t-test. Results. The median hemoglobin (Hb) level before giving date fruits was 10.8 g/dL and the median Hb level after giving date fruits was 11.9 g/dL. There were differences in Hb levels before and after giving date fruit in the treatment group (p=0.001). Conclusion. The intervention of consuming seven date fruits (50 g) for seven days effectively increased hemoglobin level.

Abstract

Healthy food is an important thing to keep body health and growth of children. Snack foods play an important role in the supply of energy and other nutrients for school-age children. The age of 6-12 years is a period of transition from pre-school to elementary school. Lack of knowledge is one of the reasons children like to eat unhealthy snacks. Education for children needs to be carried out so that children have the knowledge to differentiate between healthy snacks and unhealthy snacks. The objective from this activity is increasing the knowledge of children of elementary school regarding healthy snacks. The method used is counseling about healthy snacks to school children. The results showed that after counseling, the level of knowledge of respondents about healthy snacks increased, as many as 40% of respondents got a score of 100, 31% got a score of 80, 16% got a score of 60, 11% got a score of 40 and 2% got a score of 20.

Abstract

Background: Anemia occurs due to the body's loss of red blood cells and decreased iron absorption. Globally, it is known that the prevalence of anemia is 1.62 billion, with the majority of anemia sufferers being a group of women who are not pregnant, as many as 468.4 million people. In addition, the highest prevalence of anemia in the group of school-age girls is 47.4%, while in men, only 12.7%.Objective: This study aims to determine the correlation between macronutrients and nutritional status with the anemia accident in adolescents at Islamic Boarding schools.Methods: This study used a case-control design with matching criteria aged 15-19 years, not menstruating, not fasting. Sampling with quota sampling of late adolescents with a population of 15-19 years 1,359 people, anemic case sample of 46 people and control without anemia 46 people, intake questionnaire using the SQ-FFQ, statistical test with Chi-Square.Results: There was a significant relationship between macronutrient intake [energy p=0.048; OR=3.3 (CI 0.965-11.28), protein p=0.036; OR=3.98 (CI 1.018-15.57)] and nutritional status [p=0.024; OR=5.35 (CI 1.088-26.32)] with anemia incidence. Less energy intake has a risk of 3.3 times anemia, lack of protein intake has a risk of 3.98 times, and malnutrition has a risk of anemia of 5.35 times.Conclusions: There was a significant correlation between energy, protein intake, and nutritional status with anemia incidents. Abstract

Background Food service has the basic principles of hygiene and health in the provision of food, the food served must be free from all kinds of contamination. The canteen is a crucial type of place where food is served. The purpose of the activity is to provide food safety education to canteen managers. Methods this activity uses an outreach method with poster media and questions and answers, then pre-test before education and post-test after education is carried out followed by statistical analysis with paired samples test. Result there is an increase in the knowledge of workers after education as evidenced by the results of statistical analysis, a significance value of 0.044. Conclusion there is an effect of education on increasing the knowledge of UNIDA Gontor canteen managers on the female campus.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of tamarind water on fasting blood sugar levels in graduate female students at University of Darussalam Gontor. This study used a pre-experimental study with one group pretest and posttest design without control group with a sample size of 31 people. Samples were given a tamarind water (Tamarindus indica) at 10.00 WIB with a composition of 17 mL for samples with normal nutritional status, and 23 mL with samples with overweight nutritional status. Blood sugar levels were taken before the study was conducted, day 7, and day 14. Blood glucose is measured using peripheral blood draws. To test the difference between fasting blood sugar levels before and after administration of tamarind water, the reapeted ANOVA test was used. Based on the results of statistical tests using the Reapeted ANOVA test, it was found that there was no significant relationship between fasting blood sugar levels before the intervention with on the 7th day, or on the 14th day (p 0.05). It was concluded that giving tamarind water had no effect on fasting blood sugar levels in female graduate students at University of Darussalam Gontor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh air asam Jawa terhadap kadar glukosa darah puasa pada mahasiswa putri pascasarjana Universitas Darussalam Gontor. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra eksperimental dengan rancangan one group pretest and posttest design without control group dengan jumlah sampel 31 orang. Sampel diberikan air asam Jawa (Tamarindus indica) pada pukul 10.00 WIB dengan komposisi 17 mL untuk sampel dengan status gizi normal, dan 23 mL dengan sampel dengan status gizi overweight. Kadar glukosa darah diambil pada sebelum penelitian dilaksanakan, hari ke-7, dan hari ke-14. Glukosa darah diukur menggunakan pengambilan darah perifer. Untuk menguji perbedaan antara kadar glukosa darah puasa sebelum dan sesudah pemberian air asam Jawa, digunakan uji Reapeted ANOVA. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik dengan menggunakan uji Reapeted ANOVA didapatkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kadar glukosa darah puasa sebelum intervensi dengan hari ke-7, maupun pada hari ke-14 (p0,05). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian air asam Jawa tidak berpengaruh terhadap kadar glukosa darah puasa mahasiswi putri Pascasarjana Universitas Darussalam Gontor.

Abstract

Latar belakang penyelenggaraan makanan memiliki prinsip dasar hygiene dan sehat dalam penyediaan makanan, makanan yang disajikan harus terbebas dari segala macam jenis cemaran. Kantin merupakan salah satu jenis tempat penyelenggaraan makanan yang krusial.  Tujuan kegiatan untuk memberikan edukasi keamanan pangan kepada pengelola kantin. Metode kegiatan ini menggunakan metode penyuluhan dengan media poster dan tanya jawab, kemudian dilakukan pre test sebelum edukasi dan post test setelah edukasi dilanjutkan dengan analisis statistic dengan uji paired samples test. Hasil yang didapatkan ada peningkatan pengetahuan setelah edukasi dibuktikan dengan hasil analisis statistik didapatkan nilai signifikansi yaitu sebesar 0,044. Simpulan ada pengaruh edukasi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan pengelola kantin UNIDA Gontor kampus putri.

Abstract

Infertility is a global health problem that affects millions of reproductive age worldwide. Infertility can be caused by menstrual cycle problems. Menstrual cycles altered often occur in adolescents with a prevalence of >65%. Changes in the menstrual cycle are influenced by several factors to avoid complications adolescents expected to monitor their menstrual cycle. This research was an observational quantitative research with cross-sectional method. The result of this research were most respondents aged 12 years as many as 62 respondents (64.6%). Most respondents had normal nutritional status of 76 respondents (79.2%) with the number of non-anemic respondents as many as 73 respondents (76%). Most of the respondents experienced stress as many as 83 respondents (86.5%) and poor sleep quality as many as 70 respondents (72.9%). Meanwhile, the most common menstrual cycle disorder was Amenorrhea with 70 respondents (72.9%). In this research it can be concluded that there was no relationship between nutritional status (p=1.000), stress factors (p=0.744), sleep quality (p=1.000) and menstrual cycle in adolescents at Boarding School but there was a relationshop between anemia and menstrual cycle in adolescents at Boarding School (p=0.022).

Abstract

Background: Malnutrition both overweight and malnutrition in children and adolescents often occur in developing countries. At this time many factors affect the nutritional status of adolescents including physical activity, psychological aspects (body image) and sleep duration. Objective: This study aims to determine the risk factors associated with the nutritional status of teaching-students at the University of Darussalam Gontor. Method: This research is an observational survey research with cross-sectional study design. Research subjects were 94 teaching-students 18-21 years old at the University of Darussalam Gontor For Girls. Statistical tests use the Gamma correlation test to determine the relationship between independent variables and dependent variables. The results of this study indicate that there was a significant correlation between body image and nutritional status (p = 0.030) and there was no significant correlation between physical activity (p = 0.385) and sleep duration (p = 0.156) with nutritional status.Keyword : Nutritional Status, Body Image, Physical Activity, Sleep Duration, Teaching Students Latar Belakang: Malnutrisi baik kelebihan berat badan dan gizi buruk pada anak-anak dan remaja sering terjadi di negara-negara berkembang. Pada saat ini banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi status gizi remaja termasuk aktivitas fisik, aspek psikologis (citra tubuh) dan durasi tidur. Tujuan: Menganalisis faktor risiko yang terkait dengan status gizi mahasiswi guru di Universitas Darussalam Gontor. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei observasional dengan desain studi cross-sectional, uji hipotesis statistik yang digunakan adalah Uji Korelasi Gamma. Subjek penelitian adalah 94 mahasiswi guru berusia 18-21 tahun di Universitas Darussalam Gontor Kampus Putri. Tes statistik menggunakan uji korelasi Gamma untuk menentukan hubungan antara variabel independen dan variabel dependen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara citra tubuh dan status gizi (p = 0,030) dan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara aktivitas fisik (p = 0,385) dan durasi tidur (p = 0,156) dengan status gizi.Kata kunci : status gizi, body image, aktifitas fisik, durasi tidur, mahasiswi guru.

Abstract

Anemia di kalangan remaja putri masih menjadi masalah gizi yang perlu penanganan secara serius karena dampak yang ditimbulkan dapat diturunkan pada generasi selanjutnya. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku makan serta kebiasaan dan kualitas tidur berkaitan dengan masalah anemia. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis hubungan pengetahuan, sikap, tindakan, dan durasi tidur dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri di pondok pesantren. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan studi case control dengan pengambilan sampel secara purposive dan melibatkan 47 subjek anemia dan 45 subjek non anemia. Variabel pengetahuan, sikap, tindakan, dan durasi tidur dinilai dengan instrumen kuesioner sedangkan kadar Hb diukur dengan hemoglobinometer. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji komparatif Chi-Square dan Mann Whitney. Diperoleh hasil subjek anemia maupun non anemia memiliki pengetahuan gizi, sikap, dan perilaku yang masuk dalam kategori sedang (60%-80%). Durasi tidur pada kelompok anemia adalah 6 jam sementara non anemia 7 jam. Pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku subjek tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada durasi tidur antarat kelompok anemia dan non anemia. Durasi tidur memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap kejadian anemia pada remaja putri.
