Abstract

Stunting dapat terjadi akibat kekurangan gizi pada saat 1000 Hari Pertama Kelahiran Hidup. Salah satu cara pencegahan dengan pemenuhan gizi dan pelayanan kesehatan kepada ibu hamil. Pemahaman ibu atau calon ibu mengenai gizi merupakan proses awal dalam perubahan perilaku peningkatan status gizi. Tujuan kegiatan adalah pemberian pendidikan kesehatan pada ibu hamil yang diharapkan akan berdampak pada peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan penerapan kesehatan dan gizi keluarga. Sehingga nantinya anak memiliki status gizi baik dan tidak terjadi stunting. Metode yang digunakan adalah edukasi menggunakan media video dan leaflet pada dua kelompok ibu hamil. Satu kelompok sebanyak 20 ibu hamil. Pengukuran tingkat pengetahuan dengan kuesioner berisi 20 pertanyaan. Pretest diberikan sebelum kegiatan edukasi dilakukan untuk mengukur pengetahuan sebelum edukasi, dan setelahnya diberikan posttest untuk mengukur perubahan pengetahuan. Hasil yang diperoleh adanya perubahan signifikan pengetahuan pada kelompok ibu hamil yang di edukasi dengan video maupun yang di edukasi dengan media leaflet. Terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan antara kelompok yang diberi edukasi dengan media video dan kelompok yang diberi edukasi leaflet dengan rerata pengetahuan kelompok yang diberikan edukasi media video lebih tinggi secara bermakna dibandingkan pengetahuan kelompok yang diberikan edukasi media leaflet. Simpulan penanggulangan masalah stunting harus dimulai dari sebelum anak dilahirkan dan bahkan sejak remaja untuk dapat memutus rantai stunting dalam siklus kehidupan. Pemberian edukasi kepada ibu hamil terkait 1000 HPK dapat menjadi salah satu cara pencegahan kejadian stunting untuk anak-anak pada periode yang akan datang

Abstract

Praktik pemberian makan yang tidak benar merupakan penyebab utama awal terjadinya masalah gizi pada bayi dan balita. Strategi Pemberian Makanan Bayi dan Anak (PMBA) yaitu Inisiasi Menyusu Dini (IMD), memberikan ASI Eksklusif sejak bayi lahir sampai berusia 6 bulan, memberikan Makanan Pendamping Air Susu Ibu (MPASI) mulai usia 6 bulan, dan melanjutkan pemberian ASI sampai anak berusia 2 tahun atau lebih. Kekurangan gizi usia dini berdampak serius terhadap kualitas SDM di masa depan. Anak dapat mengalami kegagalan pertumbuhan sehingga mengakibatkan berat badan lahir rendah, pendek, kurus, serta daya tahan tubuh yang rendah serta berisiko mengalami hambatan perkembangan otak/kognitif. Tujuan kegiatan menganalisis karakteristik ibu bayi balita di Posyandu Melati 6 Desa Precet, dan menganalisis efektifitas pemberian edukasi pemberian makan bayi dan anak di Posyandu Melati 6 Desa Precet. Metode pemberian edukasi menggunakan media lembar balik. Ada 23 ibu yang terlbat dalam kegiatan. Sebelum mendapatkan edukasi ibu diukur tingkat pengetahuan dengan menjawab 15 pertanyaan terkait PMBA, dan setelah mendapat intervensi edukasi, ibu kembali diberi pertanyaan yang sama untuk mendapatkan nilai posttest. Hasil kegiatan diperoleh rerata nilai sebelum edukasi 67.7 dan meningkat menjadi 80.87 setelah mendapat edukasi. Simpulan edukasi PMBA efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan pada Ibu di Posyandu Melati 6 Desa Precet sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting.

Abstract

Masalah stunting merupakan permasalahan gizi yang dihadapi negara-negara miskin dan berkembang. Stunting merupakan kegagalan pertumbuhan akibat akumulasi ketidakcukupan nutrisi yang berlangsung lama mulai dari kehamilan sampai dengan usia 24 bulan. Banyak faktor yang menyebabkan tingginya kejadian stunting pada balita. Masyarakat belum menyadari stunting sebagai suatu masalah di bandingkan dengan permasalahan kurang gizi lainnya. Salah satu cara untuk mengurangi resiko kejadian stunting yaitu dengan pemenuhan asupan zat gizi melalui pemberian PMT (Pemberian Makanan Tambahan) dari bahan pangan lokal. Tujuan kegiatan yaitu pemberian PMT modifikasi dan edukasi melalui media video dan booklet untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu balita. Sehingga diharapkan ibu balita dapat memenuhi kebutuhan asupan gizi balita dengan pemanfaatan bahan pangan lokal yang mudah didapatkan, terjangkau dan tentunya memiliki nilai gizi yang tinggi. Metode yang digunakan adalah edukasi menggunakan media video, booklet dan pemberian PMT modifikasi pada dua kelompok ibu balita. Setiap kelompok terdapat 15 ibu balita. Pengukuran tingkat pengetahuan dengan kuesioner berisi 15 pertanyaan. Pretest diberikan sebelum kegiatan edukasi guna mengukur pengetahuan sebelum edukasi, dan setelahnya diberikan posttest guna mengukur perubahan pengetahuan. Pemberian PMT dari empat bahan lokal telur, ayam, lele dan patin. Hasil yang diperoleh tidak terdapat perbedaan rerata hasil pengetahuan antara kelompok yang diberikan intervensi menggunakan media edukasi video dan booklet. Akan tetapi, terdapat perbedaan signifikan pengetahuan sebelum dan setelah pemberian media edukasi dengan media booklet dan juga media video. Untuk hasil dari pemberian PMT bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan antara PMT bahan pangan lokal dengan 4 sampel. Simpulan terdapat cara untuk mengurangi resiko terjadinya stunting yaitu dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan melalui media dan pemenuhan zat gizi balita dengan pembuatan PMT dari bahan pangan lokal.

Abstract

The prevalence of anemia in Indonesia has been increasing every year. The causes of anemia during pregnancy include factors such as gestational age, pregnancy spacing, adherence to iron tablet consumption, and economic status. This study aims to analyze the risk factors for anemia in pregnant women in the Pitu Health Center area of Ngawi Regency. The research uses a descriptive analytic approach with a case-control design. The sampling technique employed is purposive sampling, with a total of 34 subjects in the case group and 34 subjects in the control group. Data analysis was conducted using three methods: univariate analysis with frequency distribution, bivariate analysis with chi-square tests, and multivariate analysis with logistic regression. The results of the univariate analysis indicate that adherence to iron tablet consumption is still low in the case group (33.5%). The bivariate analysis shows that gestational age has a p-value of 0.446, pregnancy spacing has a p-value of 1.000, adherence to iron tablet consumption has a p-value of 0.003 (OR=5.250), and economic status has a p-value of 0.031 (OR=4.060). Through multivariate analysis, it was found that adherence to iron tablet consumption (OR=5.050) has the most significant association with the occurrence of anemia in pregnant women. In conclusion, this research suggests that there is an influence of iron tablet consumption on the occurrence of anemia in pregnant women in the Pitu Health Center area of Ngawi Regency. Pregnant women who do not adhere to iron tablet consumption are 5.2 times more at risk of anemia compared to pregnant women who adhere to iron tablet consumption.

Abstract

Anemia screening conducted by Puskesmas Kendal in February 2023 showed an anemia prevalence of 50%. The results were obtained from 716 students in grades VII and X, with a description of 135 mild anemia, 153 moderate anemia, and 12 severe anemia. Screening results at SMA 1 Kendal 62.2% of adolescent girls showed low hemoglobin levels (anemia). This is thought to be due to a lack of understanding of the information obtained from health promotion by local health workers or other media that affects the lifestyle and diet of adolescents in meeting their daily needs. This study aims to determine the effect of accordion and pop-up books on adolescents' knowledge about anemia prevention. This study used the quasi-experiment method with a pretest-posttest design with a control group in two groups. Sampling was done using the purposive sampling technique, and the total sample was 112 adolescents. Data analysis was done using the Wilcoxon test and the Mann-Whitney test. The average value of knowledge before and after being given knowledge about anemia prevention with accordion book media is 75.00 increasing to 95.00, while pop-up book media is 70.00 increasing to 95.00. The results showed an effect of accordion book educational media on knowledge of preventing anemia in adolescents, as evidenced by a p-value of 0.000. There is an effect of pop-up book educational media on anemia prevention knowledge in adolescents, as evidenced by a p-value of 0.000. The most effective media for increasing adolescents' knowledge about anemia is a pop-up book, with a difference value of 25. The conclusion is that accordion books and pop-up book media have an effect on increasing adolescents’ knowledge about anemia prevention, and pop-up book educational media is more effective.

Abstract

Background: A health problem that often occurs in adolescent girls is disrupting the menstrual cycle. The prevalence of menstrual cycle disorders has increased from 2012 by 45% to 80% in 2018.Objectives: This study aims to identifying respondent characteristics, determine the relationship between fast food consumption habits, hemoglobin levels and sleep quality on the menstrual cycle. Analyzing which independent variable exerts the most dominant influence on the dependent variable.Methods: This research design used analytical observational quantitative methods with a case-control approach. The sampling technique used uses purposive sampling. Data collection for menstrual cycles using questionnaires and calendars, data on fast food consumption habits were obtained by interviews using FFQ, and hemoglobin level data were obtained by examination using the Easy Touch GC-Hb tool. In contrast, sleep quality data were obtained using PSQI questionnaires. Data were analyzed by Chi-square then continued with multivariate logistic regression analysis.Result: The characteristics of respondents in this study based on age mainly were 19 years old, with 49% in the case group and 44% in the control group. Most respondents have an allowance of Rp.500,000-1,000,000, with the percentage in the case group and control group 51%. The menarche age of respondents in this study was mainly 12 years, with a rate of 37%. The characteristics of respondents in the case and control groups mostly have the same distribution of characteristics based on age 19 years, allowance/mounth of Rp.500,000-1,000,000 and age of menstruation 12 years. The study results showed a relationship between fast food consumption habits on the menstrual cycle (p-value= 0.002, OR= 4.359) and there was a relationship between hemoglobin levels on the menstrual cycle (p-value= 0.003, OR= 4.308). There was a relationship between sleep quality on the menstrual cycle (p-value= 0.000, OR= 18.519).Conclusions: There was a relationship between fast food consumption habits, hemoglobin levels and sleep quality on the menstrual cycle. Hemoglobin levels are at higher risk of menstrual cycles than fast food consumption habits and sleep quality (p-value= 0.042).

Abstract

Hemoglobin (Hb) is a component that plays an important role in the body’s metabolic balance, low Hb called anemia and if it is more than normal it can be called boodhypercoagulation. If not trated immediately the impact will be carried on until the women ismerried, pregnant, and gives birth. The purpose of this study was analyze the relationship between nutritional status and blood pressure to hemoglobin levels of women of childbearing age in Islamic boarding school. This study used a case-control design. The subject of this study age 17-24 years were selected using consecutive sampling. The number of subject was 61 in the case group and 61 in the control group. Data include nutritional status with BMI and MUAC, systolic and diastolic blood pressure. The result of the analysis test showed that there was a significant relationship between nutritional status (BMI) and hemoglobin levels with a p-value 0,025. While nutritional status (MUAC) did nor had a significant relationship with hemoglobin levels, the p-value was 0,328. For systolic and diastolic blood pressure there was also no relationship between the nutritional status of BMI and hemoglobin levels. There was no relationship between blood pressure to hemoglobin levels in women of childbearing age

Abstract

Background: Indonesian adolescents face a triple burden of malnutrition, namely undernutrition, obesity and micronutrient deficiencies. Knowledge and attitude play an important role in overcoming nutrition problems. Increasing nutrition awareness, especially those based on halal food, can be done through nutrition education from an early age. Motion graphic animation video is one of the effective learning media with attractive visual advantages and increases learning enthusiasm. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of halal food-based nutrition education through animated audiovisual media on adolescents' knowledge and attitudes related to nutrition. Method: The study used Quasy Experimental Pre-test and Post-test group design. The sample was divided into experimental and control groups, with a pre-test, intervention, and post-test process. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The research sample consisted of two groups with a total of 112 people, in each group there were 56 people. The variables measured involved adolescents' knowledge and attitudes related to halal food-based nutrition. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test to test changes within groups, and the Mann-Whitney test to compare differences between groups. Results: showed that halal food-based nutrition education with motion graphic audiovisual media significantly increased knowledge (p=0.000) and improved attitudes (p=0.000) in adolescents. There is a significant difference in the use of motion graphic animation videos and video descriptions on knowledge (p=0.003) and there is no significant difference in the use of motion graphic animation videos and video descriptions on attitudes (p=0.554). Conclusion: There Significant improvements occurred in knowledge and attitudes through motion graphic and description audiovisual media. Motion graphic media is more effective in increasing knowledge, while effectiveness on attitude remains.

Abstract

Pendahuluan : prevalensi anemia di Indonesia dikalangan anak-anak balita mencapai angka 38,5%. Dapat yang ditimbulkan dari anemia yakni menghambat perkembangan mental anak, serta memengaruhi kualitas hidup dan produktivitas mereka di masa depan. Pengetahuan gizi memiliki peran penting karena dengan memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup khususnya dibidang kesehatan, seseorang dapat mengetahui berbagai macam gangguan kesehatan yang mungkin akan timbul sehingga dapat dicari pemecahannya. Tujuan : Meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu-ibu balita di Desa Precet mengenai anemia, faktor-faktor penyebabnya, serta cara pencegahan dan penanganannya melalui pemberian makanan yang kaya akan zat besi dan nutrisi penting lainnya. Hasil : Karakteristik ibu balita sebanyak 45,5% berada pada rentang usia 21-26 tahun, 68,2% berprofesi sebagai ibu rumah tangga (IRT), dan 54,6% memiliki pendidikan setingkat SMU atau sederajat. Pengetahuan ibu tentang anemia sebelum diberikan edukasi memiliki nilai rata-rata 67,5 dengan nilai minimum 40 dan maksimum 100. Sekitar 22,7% peserta memiliki nilai di bawah median, yang sebagian besar merupakan ibu rumah tangga dengan tingkat pendidikan SMP-SMA dan ibu muda berusia 21 tahun. Simpulan : Edukasi mengenai anemia dan pemberian makanan balita di Posyandu Melati 6, Desa Precet, cukup efektif sebagai langkah pencegahan anemia. Beberapa poin penting dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi: 1) Membina konselor atau kader sebagai bentuk pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam menyampaikan informasi terkait kesehatan dan gizi balita. 2) Memberikan motivasi kepada para ibu untuk menerapkan hasil edukasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, khususnya terkait pemberian makanan sehat untuk balita dan keluarga. Pendekatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dan praktik gizi yang lebih baik di masyarakat

Abstract

Background: Stunting is a condition of failure to grow in toddlers due to chronic malnutrition, repeated infections, and inadequate parenting in the first 1000 days of life. The prevalence of nutritional status toddler in Brotonegaran Village is 5.08% and one of the efforts to prevent stunting with food security. This service activity is carried out in synergy with the government to support the PKK, namely health. The purpose of this activity is to empower PKK cadres through counseling and training, as well as mentoring with Gerakan Sayang Ibu. Method: The activity partner is the PKK cadre group of Brotonegaran Village. The number of participants was 25 people. The methods used are counseling, training, and mentoring. Results: 25 PKK cadres were participating in a series of empowerment activities, including an FGD with the theme of empowering PKK in raising laying hens to suppress stunting which was attended by the village head and representatives of the local health center. The first counselor is about improving the quality of free-range chicken production and assistance in raising free-range chickens, the second counselor is about nutritional needs in the first 1000 days of life. Asih Asuh distributes free-range chicken eggs as a high-protein food to meet the needs of stunting-prone risk groups.  Conclusion: The empowerment of PKK cadres through FGD activities, training counseling, and foster care for the distribution of free-range chicken eggs, increased by 30% related to the knowledge, experience, and concern of PKK cadres as family companions in the community.
