Back pain is a common problem experienced by pregnant women, especially in the third trimester, which can affect their quality of life and limit their ability to carry out daily activities. Back pain can occur in the lumbosacral area, which can be overcome by using non-pharmacological therapy, one of which is kinesio taping. Kinesio taping is one of the tools health workers use to relieve lower back discomfort in patients. This study examined the effectiveness of kinesio taping in helping reduce back pain in pregnant women entering the final trimester of pregnancy. Methods: A scoping review was compiled using the PICO framework and PRISMA guidelines. Results: Eight articles were extracted from the scoping review that discussed the effectiveness of kinesio taping for back pain during pregnancy in TM III (third trimester). The eight articles reached the same conclusion: kinesio taping can have a significant impact on reducing the level of discomfort experienced during TM III pregnancy due to back pain. Conclusion: Kinesio taping helps relieve discomfort in the backs of pregnant women in TM III. Keyword: Back Pain, Kinesio Taping, Pregnant Women, Third Trimester

The lactational amenorrhea method (LAM) is a natural contraceptive that is highly effective after the three essential criteria are fulfilled. However, there is a significantly low adoption resulting from poor knowledge and correct practices. This study aimed to determine the correlation between knowledge and behavior of breastfeeding mothers on breastfeeding as a natural contraceptive. This was an analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design involving 89 breastfeeding mothers and was performed from January to March 2018. Furthermore, data were collected using a questionnaire, and the results showed knowledge of breastfeeding mothers to be good (59.6%) and not good (51.7%). However, the individual’s behavior towards the implementation of LAM was not good (48.3%) and good (40.4%). Based on the statistical test, there was a correlation between knowledge and behavior of breastfeeding mothers, with a p-value of 0.006 (OR = 3.463; 95% CI = 1.411 – 8.498). In brief, knowledge of LAM amongst the participants is good, despite the poor application in terms of behavior. Also, a relationship was also established between the knowledge and behavior of breastfeeding mothers as a natural contraceptive.

Family planning program has a very strategic, comprehensive and fundamental meaning in creating a healthy and prosperous Indonesian human being. However, recently the incidence of drop out is quite high for several reasons. This study was conducted to determine the influential factors that cause acceptors to drop out. It is descriptive research. The populations in the study were contraceptive acceptors who dropped out for 3 consecutive months, and not being pregnant. The numbers of sample were 100 people. The data collection employed closed and open questionnaires; data presented in descriptive form. Influential factors of drop out contraceptive acceptors due to side effects were 38%, wanting children 18%, others (changing the method/ expired) 14%, without husband support in using contraception 22%, and others 22%. The period of using contraception after dropout 34% (3-10 years); express unlimited time (one day later) and unwilling to use contraception anymore after dropping out 23%. It is suggested that health professionals can increase the handling of family planning side effects, improve counseling, information and education related to the choice of short term non hormonal contraceptive devices related to the selection of contraceptives for pre-menopausal age so that the decision making can be taken more appropriately, increase the competence of health professionals, increasing husband support, improving mentoring and monitoring acceptors who have dropped put to use contraceptives again willingly.

Providing counseling to breastfeeding mothers and giving extras through the use of galactagogues to support the secretion process in breast milk production is one of the measures taken to boost breast milk production. This study aimed to investigate and evaluate previously published research on the effects of galactagogues on breast milk production. Inclusion criteria in this review included Indonesian or English language studies published in the last five years and focused on the efficacy of galactagogues on breast milk production. The structure of this scoping review is based on the PRISMA-ScR Checklist, as outlined by Arksey and O'Malley. Literature searches used three databases, namely Wiley Online Library, PubMed, and Science Direct—critical appraisal using the Joana Briggs Institute (JBI) Appraisal Tool. There were 343 relevant articles, and 10 were selected according to the researcher's criteria. The review results discuss that galactagogue content can affect mothers' milk from the duration and frequency of mothers consuming galactagogue content during breastfeeding. It was concluded that galactagogue content affects increased breast milk production, reinforced by banana flowers, Coleus amboinicus lour, and local foods and plants containing galactagogues. In addition, how long galactagogues are used and their consumption frequency affect breastmilk production and proper nutrition in meeting additional nutritional needs for breastfeeding women.

Breast milk is the main source of nutrition for newborns under six months. During the first six months of life, babies receive full breast milk. This literature analysis aims to find the latest data from scientific research on the effect of acupressure in increasing breast milk production. The method used as a research design is Scoping Review. A scoping review is a precursor to a systematic review, which aims to identify the types of evidence available on the topic being discussed. They used the PRISMA-ScR framework by searching for articles through relevant databases. The research showed that acupressure effectively increased breast milk production, and acupressure at the SI 1, ST 18, ST 16, ST 17 and LU 1 acupressure points could affect breast milk production. This is because acupressure is a non-pharmacological technique that can increase breast milk production by pressing, rubbing and massaging various body parts to increase breast milk production and calm the body. Of the total 199 articles obtained, according to the inclusion criteria, there were ten relevant articles. Articles published between 2019 and 2023, articles available in Indonesian and English, articles that discuss improving acupressure to increase breast milk production, and articles available in full can all be accessed easily.

Exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of a baby's life is the main recommendation of WHO to support optimal infant growth and maternal-child health. However, the success rate still varies, especially between urban and rural areas. One of the main factors influencing the success of exclusive breastfeeding is the husband's support in the form of emotional, informational, and practical support. Research shows that mothers who receive active support from their husbands are more likely to succeed in exclusive breastfeeding. Social, economic, and cultural differences influence the pattern of this support across regions. In addition, factors such as education level, maternal employment status, and cultural norms contribute to the low prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding in developing countries. Mothers who work in the formal sector face greater challenges in maintaining exclusive breastfeeding due to limited maternity leave and lactation facilities. Therefore, the involvement of husbands is not only important in supporting mothers at home, but also in policy advocacy at the workplace. This study aims to analyze the role of husbands in supporting the success of exclusive breastfeeding and the differences in support between urban and rural areas. The results of the study are expected to be the basis for health policies and family-based education programs to increase the success rate of exclusive breastfeeding.
