Abstract

Piper betle fruit empirically is believed to maintain  oral health, but unfortunately the use of piper betle fruit not to be proven scientifically, therefore one of the efforts in explore benefits of betel fruit is to formulatedinto mouthwash. The aim of this research was to prepared stable and effective mouthwash preparation which is inhibit the growth of Streptococcus mutans. There were 3 formula designed  by varying the concentration of the piper betle fruit juice 3, 4 and 5 % v/v respectively. Stability evalution carried out before and after accelerated condition at 5oC and  35oC for 10 cycles in which the parameter  were organoleptic, pH value, viscosity and inhibitory  Streptococcus mutans of the bacteria. The assay results of the inhibition of each formula with agar diffusion method showed that the 3 formula were able to inhibit the growth of Streptococcus mutans, but the most optimum stability and effective inhibiting Streptococcus mutans was formula F3,that contain 5% fruit juice,  due to there was no significant change before and after accelerated condition. Key word : Mouthwash, Piper betle fruit (Piper betle L.), Streptococcus mutans

Abstract

Basil is one of a plant that has antibacterial activity on Staphylococcus aureus, the cause of furuncle. To cure the desease it is require preparations with a good penetrability, i.e gels and ointments. The goal of the research was to obtained the most stable both gel and ointment formulations of basil seed oil (Ocimum basilicum Linn.) pharmaceutically and effective microbiologically. Physical stability evaluations were performed by the parameters were organoleptic, viscosity measurement, homogeneity, spreadability, and flowing type at 5oC and 35oC for 12 hours on each temperature for 10 cycles. Organoleptic assay showed that there was no change in color, odor and concistency of all formula. Based on statistic analyses by Randomized design exhibited a significant change of gel and ointment formulation during storage. Homogeneity test showed that all formula possess even particle distribution. Based on rheogram exhibited thixotrophy-plastic flow type. Microbiological assay carried out by observe the formed inhibitory zone. Physical evaluation obtained formula II of gel was the most stable (12% basil seed oil) and formula III of ointment (18% basil seed oil) and microbiologically effective was formula III.  While the most effective microbiologically in inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus was gel preparation in 18% concentration of basil seed oil.

Abstract

Antibacterial activity test has been done on Colocacia esculenta L leaves fractions. The aim of the research was to determine the antibacterial activity of Colocacia esculenta L leaves fractions delivered from Pare-Pare District of South Sulawesi on Salmonella thypii and Staphyllococcus aureus by means of vacuum liquid chromatography and Bioautographic-TLC. Results of fractionations of the ethanol extract by the former method using eluent of 100 mL n-hexane, n-hexane:ethyl acetate (10:1; 1:1), 100 mL ethyl acetate, ethyl acetate:methanol (10:1; 1:1) and 100 mL methanol were obtained 7 fractions. Bioautographic-TLC assay then carried out on the obtained fractions they were fraction 3,4,5,6 and 7 respectively and obtained Rf value 0.80 was possessed antibacterial activity on both tested bacteria.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to determine the effect of adding lime leaves to the organoleptic value and to explain the chemical properties and antioxidant activity of the cat's whiskers leaf functional drink. This study used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD), which consisted of five variations of lime leaves addition, namely the addition of 0% lime leaves (N0), the addition of 5% lime leaves (N1), the addition of 10% lime leaves (N2), the addition of 15% lime leaves (N3), and the addition of 20% lime leaves (N4). The observation variables in this study were organoleptic characteristics (color, aroma, and taste), chemical analysis (water content and pH), and antioxidant activity. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results show that the addition of lime leaves had a very significant effect on aroma and taste with average scores of 3.83 (like) and 4.23 (like), respectively. However, it had no significant effect on color parameters with an average rating of 3 (like). The addition of lime leaves had a very significant effect (p <0.05) on chemical properties (pH). The addition of lime leaves can reduce the pH in the functional drink of cat whiskers leaves with the lowest pH of 4.51. Meanwhile, it had no significant effect (p> 0.05) on the water content as the average water content of the samples was 8.09%. The water content of the product met the national standard for the water content of functional drinks such as in the form of tea, which is a maximum of 10% w/w. The addition of lime leaves can increase the antioxidant activity of the cat whiskers leaf functional drink in line with the increasing concentration of lime leaves with an IC50 value of 55.2 ppm, which is classified as a strong antioxidant.Keywords: cat whiskers leaves, lime leaves, functional drinks.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh penambahan daun jeruk nipis terhadap nilai organoleptik dan menjelaskan sifat kimia dan aktivitas antioksidan produk minuman fungsional daun kumis kucing. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial, yang terdiri dari 5 variasi penambahan daun jeruk nipis yaitu penambahan daun jeruk nipis 0% (N0), penambahan daun jeruk nipis 5% (N1), penambahan daun jeruk nipis 10% (N2), penambahan daun jeruk nipis 15% (N3) dan penambahan daun jeruk nipis 20% (N4). Variabel pengamatan pada penelitian ini yaitu karakteristik organoleptik (warna, aroma dan rasa), analisis sifat kimia (kadar air dan pH) dan uji aktivitas antioksidan. Analisis data menggunakan Analysis of Varian (ANOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukan penambahan daun jeruk nipis berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap aroma dengan rerata penilaian 3,83 (suka) dan rasa 4,23 (suka) namun, berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap parameter warna dengan rata-rata penilaian 3 (suka). Penambahan daun jeruk nipis berpengaruh sangat nyata (p<0,05) terhadap sifat kimia (pH), penambahan daun jeruk nipis dapat menurunkan pH pada minuman fungsional daun kumis kucing dengan pH terendah 4,51. Sedangkan pengujian kadar air berpengaruh tidak nyata (p>0,05), rata-rata kadar air serbuk minuman fungsional daun kumis kucing adalah 8,09%. Kadar air produk sudah memenuhi persyaratan mutu kadar air minuman fungsional seperti dalam bentuk teh berdasarkan SNI yaitu maksimal 10% b/b. Penambahan daun jeruk nipis dapat meningkatkan aktivitas antioksidan minuman fungsional daun kumis kucing seiring banyaknya konsentrasi penambahan daun jeruk nipis dengan nilai IC50 55,2 ppm yang tergolong sebagai antioksidan yang kuat.Kata kunci: Daun kumis kucing, daun jeruk nipis, minuman fungsional.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analysis chemical coumpounds active isolate of Colocacia esculenta L.’s leaves IDTK01 using infra red spectrophotometer. The fractionation of the ethanolic extract of Colocasia esculenta L’s leaves using liquid vacuum chromatography obtained 7 fractions. Active fraction was B fraction isolated from the active coumpound by TLC-preparative from 3 different isolate, IDTK01, IDTK02 dan IDTK03. IDTK01 isolate was tested its antibacterial activity using TLC-bioautography with eluen n-hexane:ethyl acetate (10:1) and its active against Salmonella thypi with Rf value 0.98. Active isolate IDTK01 was analyze its active bacterial coumpound using infrared spectrophotometer and the results is hydrogen bond, hydroxyl functional group (OH), aryl/ aromatic (C=C), aliphatic (CH2), Ether aldehyde (C-O), and pyridine.

Abstract

This study aims to test the application of independent learning with loose parts media in early childhood. This research uses a qualitative field method (Field research). The data sources used are Tk Dwi Warna,Paud Al-Mu’awanah,Paud Al-Wathoniyah 51,Paud Semar sakti,Paud Mutiara Hati Pulo Gebang,This research includes observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using Miles and Huberman analysis include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn.this study shows that the application of Independent Learning with Loose Parts Media in early childhood from the results of Problem Analysis 3 MB Achievement Schools, Problem Solving is Intensive Development 2 has Achieved BSH. Loose media creates unlimited creative possibilities in learning activities and invites children's creativity to work whose usefulness will never run out.Early childhood Already has the readiness to respond to various Educational Simulations provided by parents and the community around them. This research aims to provide the importance to develop "The Application of Independent Learning with Loose Parts Media in Early Childhood".

Abstract

Kualitas layanan dan diskon merupakan elemen penting dalam memengaruhi kepuasan pelanggan, keduanya menjadi fokus penelitian ini di antara pengguna platform Shopee di kalangan mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengevaluasi dampak kualitas layanan dan diskon Shopee terhadap kepuasan pelanggan. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan teknik sampel stratifikasi proporsional, jumlah sampel 49 responden, dengan analisis dilakukan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 64 bit. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa 70.6% kepuasan pelanggan dipengaruhi oleh kualitas layanan dan diskon. Kualitas layanan memperlihatkan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan, sedangkan diskon tidak memiliki dampak yang signifikan pada kepuasan pelanggan. Ini menunjukkan pentingnya kualitas layanan yang baik dalam mempertahankan tingkat kepuasan pelanggan di tengah persaingan pasar yang ketat. Dengan demikian, perusahaan perlu memperhatikan dan meningkatkan kualitas layanan yang ditawarkan sebagai strategi untuk mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan, yang pada gilirannya dapat meningkatkan kinerja bisnis mereka secara keseluruhan.   Service quality and discounts are crucial elements in influencing customer satisfaction, both of which are the focus of this study among Shopee platform users among students. The research aims to evaluate the impact of Shopee's service quality and discounts on customer satisfaction. Data were collected through questionnaires and proportional stratified sampling techniques, with analysis conducted using multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS software version 64-bit. The results indicate that 70.6% of customer satisfaction is influenced by service quality and discounts. Service quality demonstrates a significant positive influence on customer satisfaction, while discounts do not have a significant impact on customer satisfaction. This underscores the importance of good service quality in maintaining customer satisfaction levels amid fierce market competition. Therefore, companies need to pay attention to and improve the quality of services offered as a strategy to maintain and enhance customer satisfaction, which in turn can improve their overall business performance.

Abstract

Abstract: Physical-motor development is physical development through coordinated nerve center, nerve, and muscle activities. Before the development of motor movement begins to process, then the child will remain helpless. The objectives of this study are: 1) The forms of outdoor play activities in TK PKK Banjarjo Pudak Ponorogo. 2) Implementation of outdoor play activities in developing gross motor skills in TK PKK Banjarjo Pudak Ponorogo. 3) Supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing outdoor play activities to develop gross motor skills in PKK Banjarjo Kindergarten, Pudak Ponorogo. The research approach used is qualitative research with a type of case study research. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique follows the concepts put forward by Miles and Huberman namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. From the analysis of the data it was concluded that: 1) The forms of outdoor play activities included playing outside APE such as seesaw, globe and swing, gymnastics using music, playing traditional games such as crickets, stilts and snakes, observing plants and imitating animal paths. 2) Implementation of outdoor play activities in developing gross motor skills by exercising using music every day if the yard is not wet and playing outside APE such as seesaw, globe and swing every day at rest.3) Supporting factors in implementing outdoor play activities to develop gross motor skills that is the enthusiasm of children participating in learning with enthusiasm, besides that the motivation of school principals and teacher cohesiveness to achieve common goals while the inhibiting factor in implementing outdoor play activities to develop gross motor skills is the inadequate funding and yard factors.

Abstract

Ikan betok (Anabas testudineus) merupakan salah satu jenis ikan rawa yang dapat dibudidayakan. Pakan ikan yang diberi tambahan vitamin E dan minyak ikan berguna dalam  pertumbuhan ikan betok dan mematangkan gonad ikan betok, sehingga menghasilkan larva untuk  dibudidayakan dan tidak lagi mengandalkan hasil tangkap dari alam.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  melihat dampak pemberian vitamin E dan minyak ikan pada pakan indukan ikan betok, yang berguna untuk mematangkan gonad induk betina dan jantan, mengetahui pertumbuhanberat dan panjang mutlak,kelangsungan hidup, fekunditas,jumlah telur menetas dan kualitas air. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini selama 2 minggu pemeliharaan menggunakan 3 buah aquarium yang masing-masing berisi 5 ekor indukan betok betina dan 5 ekor indukan betok jantan, dengan 3 perlakuan yaitu perlakuan A (pakan diberi tambahan vitamin E sebanyak 150mg/kg),perlakuan B (pakan diberi tambahan vitamin E sebanyak 150mg/kg dan minyak ikan 30g/kg) dan perlakuan C (pakan tanpa penambahan ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan B dengan berat mutlak tertinggi (10,86g), dibandingkan dengan perlakuan A (10,76 g) dan C (7,78 g).Pertumbuhan panjang mutlak tertinggi nampak pada Perlakuan B yaitu 1 cm, dibandingkan perlakuan A (0,8cm) dan C (0,6cm). Fekunditas terbanyak pada perlakuanA(3.479 butir telur), B (1.944 butir telur) dan C (970 butir telur). Hatching rate terbanyak pada perlakuan A (82,29%), B (76,49%) dan C (53,91%). Sedangkan kelangsungan hidup larva tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan A (68,49%),  dilanjutkan perlakuan B(62,24%) dan  C (58,14%). Parameter kualitas air masih dalam kisaran normal untuk indukan dan kehidupan larva ikan.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran modern berbasis teknologi di SMA Kartika, dengan fokus pada peningkatan kreativitas guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif. Isu pokok yang diangkat adalah rendahnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di sekolah tersebut, yang berdampak pada motivasi dan pemahaman siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran menggunakan alat teknologi, seperti aplikasi presentasi interaktif dan platform kuis online. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 82% siswa merasa lebih termotivasi dan 78% merasa lebih memahami materi setelah penerapan media baru tersebut. Selain itu, keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan teknologi pembelajaran meningkat secara signifikan, dengan rata-rata kemampuan yang lebih tinggi dalam mengedit video, membuat presentasi, dan menggunakan platform pembelajaran digital. Kendala utama yang dihadapi adalah waktu yang terbatas untuk persiapan materi, yang menunjukkan perlunya pendampingan lanjutan. Secara keseluruhan, penerapan teknologi dalam pembelajaran di SMA Kartika memberikan dampak positif terhadap kualitas pendidikan.
