Abstract

ABSTRACT The devastating earthquake that struck Cianjur Regency, West Java in 2022 has caused significant physical and psychological damage, increasing the vulnerability of children and toddlers to stunting. The prevalence of stunting in this area reached 37%, affected not only by malnutrition but also mental health impacts such as stress and trauma. The damaged environment and loss of loved ones lead to high levels of anxiety and stress in children. This research was conducted by Persada Indonesia University in Limbangsari village, Cianjur district, focusing on the integration of mental health services in the Posyandu program to prevent stunting. The methodology included training on stress and trauma management, providing counseling services, and training Posyandu cadres to detect and treat mental health problems. Observations showed that most respondents experiencedmoderate to high levels of distress and low social support, which contributed to suboptimal mental health and increased risk of stunting. The results of this study confirm that comprehensive and holistic interventions, covering both nutrition and mental health aspects, are essential to reduce the prevalence of stunting. Posyandu as a community health service center has a crucial role in implementing this integrated program. Suggestions include increased collaboration with health agencies, continuous training for Posyandu mothers, allocation of adequate resources, and involvement of all elements of the community to support the sustainability of mental health and stunting prevention programs.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the sense of belonging to family in adolescents whose parents divorced and remarried. Parental divorce in adolescence is a significant event that impacts changes in a child's social and emotional life. During this time, adolescents go through various important transitions that affect the development of their identity. A sense of belonging is considered a key element in ensuring that teens feel accepted, valued, and supported in the family. This study involved four resource persons, namely two subjects of adolescent girls aged 18-20 years and two significant others. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with subjects and significant others. The results of the study showed that there was a difference in adolescents' sense of belonging depending on the post-divorce parental relationship. Teens whose parents can reconcile and build healthy communication tend to feel more valued and more connected to their families, even after remarriage. In contrast, teens whose parents are unable to reconcile with divorce tend to feel isolated and have difficulty building strong relationships with their families. These findings emphasize the importance of the role of parents in supporting the emotional recovery process and the development of a sense of belonging in adolescents after divorce.

Abstract

Puberty is a critical transitional period in individual development marked by significant biological, psychological, and social changes. This study aims to determine the differences in anxiety levels when facing puberty between male and female adolescents. The method used is a quantitative approach with a comparative design. The research population consisted of students aged 12 to 15 years from SMPN 159 West Jakarta. A sample of 214 students was selected using stratified random sampling. Data were collected through an anxiety scale questionnaire developed by the author based on Spielberger's anxiety theory. One-way ANOVA analysis showed a significant difference in anxiety levels between male and female adolescents. Female adolescents tend to have higher anxiety levels than male adolescents. This study contributes to the understanding of developmental psychology and serves as a basis for psychological interventions in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the role of technological knowledge on student engagement mediated by self-efficacy among students of Senior High School X. Technological knowledge refers to an individual’s proficiency in understanding and utilizing various information technologies to accomplish tasks. Student engagement is described as the level of student’s participation in learning and teaching activities that lead to student’s learning outcomes and goals. Self-efficacy is defined as an individual’s belief in their ability to achieve desired goals. A total of 270 students participated in this study. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with a random sampling method. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to examine the relationships among variables. The results indicated that self-efficacy partially mediates the role of technological knowledge on student engagement. Based on the comparative analysis, younger students were found to have higher average levels of technological knowledge and student engagement compared to older students. Additionally, tenth-grade students demonstrated higher average levels of technological knowledge, self-efficacy, and two dimensions of student engagement. Furthermore, students who chose online learning showed higher average levels of technological knowledge and self-efficacy, while students who chose hybrid learning demonstrated higher emotional engagement.
