Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of learning models with realistic mathematical approaches to the math skills of fifth grade slow learner students at SDN Sambung Jawa 3 Makassar. This research is a quasi-experimental study with the type of research of Single Subject Research (SSR). The design used in this study is the design of A1-B-A2. The test used in this study is a written test. The technique used is using descriptive statistics and presented in the form of tables and graphs. Components used to analyze data are analysis in conditions and analysis between conditions. The results obtained in this study indicate that the learning model with a realistic mathematical approach that is applied effectively to mathematical skills in the class V slow learner students in SDN Sambung Jawa 3 Makassar. This is indicated by the percentage overlap which is 0%. Slow learner students who learn math skills (addition and subtraction) are able to understand the concepts of addition and subtraction, find solutions to the problem of the story correctly and are able to calculate correctly. The application of the learning model with a realistic mathematical approach gives progress to the mathematical skills of the slow learner students, namely students become more active and critical in solving a problem (math problem)

Abstract

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum teaching module development training aims to equip educators with comprehensive knowledge, skills, and understanding of the concepts, principles, and practical steps in developing effective and innovative teaching modules, which are expected to contribute significantly to improving the overall quality of education. The activity was conducted in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The preparation phase involved preparing administration, materials, and other necessary equipment. The implementation phase consisted of three sessions: an initial questionnaire, material presentation and Q&A session, and a final questionnaire after the activity. The evaluation phase involved participant feedback on the activity. The training took place at the UPTD of SMPN 2 Bontonompo and was attended by 15 teachers. The results of this series of activities concluded that: (1) training participants had a good understanding of the components and principles of developing Merdeka Curriculum teaching modules; (2) There was an increase in participants' understanding of creating Merdeka Curriculum teaching modules after the training; (3) Participants responded positively to the training, with 73.3% finding it very beneficial, and 80% responding that their competency had improved significantly after participating.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to improve teachers’ understanding and skills in developing authentic assessment tools based on Wordwall at UPT SMP Negeri 2 Bontonompo. The program was implemented through training and mentoring activities covering needs analysis, material presentation, hands-on practice using Wordwall, and evaluation of program outcomes. The participants consisted of 13 teachers from various subject areas. Data were collected through questionnaires, pretests, posttests, and participant satisfaction evaluations. The findings showed that the program had a positive impact on improving teachers’ competence. This was indicated by the increase in the mean pretest score from 14.08 to 20.23 in the posttest. The result of the paired samples test showed a significance value of 0.000, indicating a significant difference between participants’ abilities before and after the training. In addition, the satisfaction evaluation revealed that participants responded very positively to the usefulness, method, and overall implementation of the program. The training not only helped teachers understand the concept of authentic assessment, but also encouraged them to use Wordwall as a more interactive, engaging, and relevant evaluation medium in classroom learning. Therefore, this community service program can serve as an alternative model for strengthening teachers’ competence in developing digital assessment practices in schools.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is low learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the Talking Stick learning model, supported by interactive music, on mathematics learning outcomes. This study was a pre-experimental study. The research design used a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population was all fourth-grade students at the UPT SPF SD Inpres Bontomanai, consisting of two classes: Class IV A and Class IV B. The sampling technique used was random sampling. Random sampling is a random sampling technique. The sample in this study was students of Class IV A. The research instruments used were pretest and posttest test sheets. Data analysis techniques used were descriptive statistical data analysis and inferential data analysis. Based on the data obtained, the average learning outcome before the treatment (pretest) was 54.30, while the learning outcome after the treatment (posttest) was 83.73. These results indicate that the Talking Stick learning model, supported by interactive music, has an impact on students' mathematics learning outcomes. The results of the paired sample t-test show that the significant value (2-Tailed) is 0.000, which is smaller than the significance of 0.05. Thus, the decision taken is that (H_0) is rejected and (H_1) is accepted, indicating that there is a significant difference in learning outcomes before and after treatment. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of the interactive music-assisted talking stick learning model has an effect on improving students' mathematics learning outcomes.
