Abstract

Law Number 20 of 2003 regarding the National Education System Article 3 aims to enhance national intelligence and functions to shape the character of the Indonesian nation. According to Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 62 of 2014, extracurricular activities are those undertaken by students outside of regular school hours as part of intracurricular and co-curricular programs, under the guidance and supervision of educational institutions. These activities aim to fully develop students' potential, talents, interests, abilities, personalities, cooperation, and independence to support the achievement of national education goals. Common extracurricular activities in schools include scouting, sports (such as football and volleyball), arts (dance, music, theater), the Youth Red Cross (PMR), scientific projects, and Olympiads. Achievement indicators include the implementation of these extracurricular activities. According to literature, character education encompasses values education, moral education, and character education, all aimed at developing the abilities of all school members. Students' character formation can be achieved through various school activities and the involvement of teachers and parents in managing their children's activities at school and in the community. Education should not only aim to make children smart but also instill noble values or national character. Therefore, instilling these values must begin at an early age so that children grow up to be proud members of the nation. To address the decline in morals or character among students, innovations are needed to shape children's character and reduce moral crises. Regularly conducted extracurricular activities can shape children to adopt positive behaviors, while teachers can contribute through learning activities and by setting examples. Thus, it is recommended that schools conduct regular activities and provide adequate care, fostering cooperation between schools, school committees, and parents in monitoring each child's activities both at school and in the community through extracurricular activities.

Abstract

Tokopedia marketplace visitors have decreased in each period, namely from the second quarter of 2022 with a total of 158,300,000 visitors to the third quarter of 2023 with a total of 97,066,667 visitors, this can happen due to certain factors that can influence the purchase decision of the Tokopedia marketplace. The purpose of this study is to find out whether there is an influence of E-wom, Security, Trust and Purchasing Decisions. Quantitative research method with Jacob Cohen's formula which total of respondents 204 people. Purposive sampling technique using data collection method is distributing questionnaires with Likert scale measurement. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis with the results of E-wom, Security and Trust has a positive and significant influence on the Tokopedia Marketplace in Batam City.

Abstract

In a competitive industry such as the food industry, understanding the factors influencing purchasing decisions can provide a competitive advantage. The purpose of this study was to explore the impact of product availability, packaging, and labels on the decision-making process of rice consumers at PT Aroma Nusajaya Karya in Batam. The population is 319 people. Using the Slovin formula, a sample of 178 respondents was determined. The analytical approach used in this study involved multiple linear regression. The results obtained from multiple linear regression analysis showed that product availability had a major effect of 43.8% on consumer purchasing decisions. Similarly, packaging had a significant impact of 25.6%, while labels contributed a significant 15.8% to the decision-making process. The results of the t test and F test that the availability of products, packaging, and labels, both individually and collectively, have a significant influence on rice purchasing decisions at PT Aroma Nusajaya Karya in Batam. By using this research to improve marketing strategies, PT Aroma Nusajaya Karya can become more competitive in the market.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to define the influence of satisfaction, motivation and workload on employee performance at PT Aurora Nova Tech Batam. In this study is using quantitative research approach with the nature of replication research. This study have population of 104 peoples and using a non-probability sampling technique where the sample size was the same as the population, namely 104 people. This research obtained the results show (1)Satisfaction has a significant and positive effect on the performance of PT Aurora Nova Tech employees. (2)Motivation has a significant and positive effect on the performance of PT Aurora Nova Tech employees. (3)Workload has a significant and positive effect on the performance of PT Aurora Nova Tech employees. (4)Satisfaction, motivation and workload simultaneously have a significant and positive effect on the performance of PT Aurora Nova Tech Batam employees. The results of this research shows that satisfaction, motivation and workload simultaneously influence employee performance at PT Aurora Nova Tech with a coefficient of determination of 43.5%.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the influence of direct marketing, ease of use, and trust on interest in purchasing marine safety equipment at PT Hong Yi Indonesia. The population in this study focuses on individuals who are consumers who have made purchases from PT Hong Yi Indonesia, totaling 240 consumers based on the six month period of 2023. The research sample consisting of 150 respondents was selected using a simple random sampling technique based on the Slovin formula. The data analysis process includes multiple linear regression which is tested including data quality testing, classical assumption testing, influence testing and hypothesis testing. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that direct marketing has an influence of 15.9% on purchasing interest. Ease of use has an influence of 35.0% on buying interest. Trust has an influence of 42.2% on buying interest. Analysis of the coefficient of determination (R2) confirms that overall, direct marketing, ease of use, and trust can explain 85.8% of the variation in purchase intention. Furthermore, the results of the t test and F test show that direct marketing, ease of use, and trust have a positive and significant influence both partially and simultaneously on interest in purchasing marine safety equipment at PT Hong Yi Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas produk, promosi dan citra merek terhadap keputusan pembelian Scarlett Whitening di Kota Batam. Popolasi yang digunakan merupakan pengguna yang pernah menggunakan produk Scarlett Whitening, namun jumlahnya tidak pasti. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan rumus lemeshow dengan jumlah perhitungan sebesar 100 responden dengan teknik pengambilan secara purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan model regresi linear berganda, dengan pengujian uji kualitas data, uji asumsi klasik, uji pengaruh dan uji hipotesis. Hasil analisis regresi linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa kualitas produk memiliki pengaruh sebesar 19,6% terhadap keputusan pembelian. Promosi memiliki pengaruh sebesar 34,3% terhadap keputusan pembelian. Citra merek memiliki pengaruh sebesar 37,7% terhadap keputusan pembelian. Temuan pengujian dengan menggunakan koefisien determinasi (R2) menunjukkan bahwa kualitas produk, promosi dan citra merek secara bersama-sama dapat menjelaskan sebanyak 60,8% dari variasi dalam keputusan pembelian. Selain itu, uji t dan uji F menunjukkan bahwa kualitas produk, promosi dan citra merek baik secara individu maupun secara keseluruhan, berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian Scarlett Whitening di Kota Batam.

Abstract

This research delves deeper into exploring and understanding the impact of service quality, brand image, and customer satisfaction on purchasing interest at Global Art Tanjungpinang. In a broader context, the study sheds light on the rapid development of education in Indonesia, accompanied by the emergence of non-formal educational institutions as indicators of sector progress. The research employs a quantitative descriptive method involving 150 carefully selected respondents, guests or visitors of Global Art Tanjungpinang, through purposive sampling. The intriguing findings of the research demonstrate brand image and customer satisfaction have a significant positive impact on purchasing interest, while service quality exerts a negative influence. The implications go beyond providing an in-depth understanding of the dynamics at Global Art Tanjungpinang, serving as a strategic foundation for the development and enhancement of services in non-formal education institutions. This becomes crucial in navigating intense competition and anticipating the needs of an increasingly complex market. Thus, the research offers a holistic perspective that can contribute valuable insights for stakeholders in the education sector.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas produk dan kualitas pelayanan terhadap loyalitas pasien erha clinic batam dengan kepuasan pasien sebagai variabel intervening. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua pasien erha clinic batam yang melakukan pembelian produk dan tindakan dalam rentang waktu penelitian. Metode pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan metode purposive sampling dengan nilai sampel sebanyak 100 orang pasien erha clinic batam. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala likert. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah SmartPLS versi 4.0.9.8. Hasil pengujian secara langsung menemukan bahwa kualitas produk berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap loyalitas pasien sebesar 0,237 dengan nilai p-value sebesar 0,016 < 0,05, kualitas pelayanan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap loyalitas pasien sebesar 0,175 dengan nilai p-value 0,074 > 0,5, kualitas produk berpengaruh positif dan signfikan terhadap kepuasan pasien sebesar 0,482 dengan nilai p-value sebesar 0,006 < 0,05, kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh positif dan signfikan terhadap kepuasan pasien sebesar 0,368, dengan nilai p-value 0,033 < 0,05, kepuasan pasien berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap loyalitas pasien sebesar 0,523, dengan nilai p-value 0,000 < 0,05. Hasil pengujian secara tidak langsung melalui variabel intervening menemukan bahwa kualitas produk berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap loyalitas pasien melalui kepuasan pasien sebesar 0,252, nilai p-value sebesar 0,015 < 0,05, kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap loyalitas pasien melalui kepuasan pasien sebesar 0,193 dengan nilai P-value sebesar 0,041 < 0,05. Kepuasan pasien mampu menjadi variabel mediasi yang baik dalam menghubungkan kualitas produk, kualitas pelayanan, dan loyalitas pasien erha clinic batam.

Abstract

Hang Nadim Batam Vocational School is one of the vocational schools that has a fairly good reputation in Batu Aji Batam, so because of this it has become a reference for people in the surrounding area to send their children to school. The strategic location and affordable costs are considerations made by parents when sending their children to Hang Nadim Vocational School. Some of the majors available at the school include Accounting, Electrical Engineering and Automotive, which are majors that are in great demand by prospective students. Community service carried out by a team of Putera Batam University lecturers aims to share knowledge with the community/school, which is one form of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The current theme of service is the role of teachers and school culture in forming superior students at Hang Nadim Vocational School, Batam, which is an analysis and the results of a survey conducted by the service team at Hang Nadim Vocational School, Batam. The results of the service carried out can be concluded, namely: 1) The role of teachers is very important in educating superior students who have character so that students can have skills and competencies that can compete in society. 2) A good school environment that supports student activities can provide superior student growth and be responsible for the tasks and obligations given by the teachers. School culture can shape the character of students who are able and adapt quickly by sharing a more flexible environment so as to provide students with comfort in completing their studies.

Abstract

In the current era of the Information Society, competition in any business industry is increasingly fierce. However, the lack of skilled workers is a major obstacle in increasing company production. Human Resources problems are still not enough to overcome complex problems. In the current era of modern globalization, competitive advantage is largely determined by the formation of Human Capital. The inadequate level of knowledge from theoretical and practical aspects of Human Capital Management in increasing sustainable production determines the objectives of this research and problem formulation so that solutions can be found, because the attention of developed and developing countries is currently more focused on developing Human Capital which is one of the company's solutions in Human Resources development which tends to have a significant impact on performance. This research examines Human Capital's direct impact on employee performance and becomes a new production factor in the Indonesian Life Insurance industry. The results of this research are to justify and develop that human capital management including TASK (Talent, Attitude, Skill, Knowledge) through continuous training with studies in the Indonesian Life Insurance Industry sector is a production factor that can also improve employee and company performance.
