Abstract

Mattirotappareng is one of the villages located inTempe District, Wajo Regency. The progress of developmentin Wajo Regency is not in line with the progress of theknowledge of the people, especially the knowledge ofinnovation in agriculture. So that, the community is lacks newknowledge about crop cultivation to improve the level ofcommunity welfare. The problem faced is the limited land forfarming. Planting needs to be accompanied by the latestaccuracy and innovation in accordance with the developmentof technology and science. Verticultural technique is anopportunity as well as a challenge that can be used to improveagricultural yields in the area of Mattirotappareng Village,Tempe District. Verticulture system is the result of researchconducted in the Department of Biology, Faculty ofMathematics and Natural Science, Universitas NegeriMakassar. The research has been carried out and based ontechnology products should be downstream so that it can beutilized by the community. Dissemination of the results of thisstudy can be done by socialization, counseling/training, andmentoring. With this program, it is expected that the limitedland will no longer be a problem of farming for the people inMattirotappareng Village.

Abstract

The implementation of the 2013 curriculum is one way for the government to improve the quality of education inIndonesia. In its implementation, the 2013 curriculum promotes a scientific approach (Scientific Approach) in its learning. Oneof the materials in learning Biology is Biotechnology, which in its implementation is still rarely carried out practicum because oflimited knowledge and raw materials. Kefir is one of the conventional biotechnology products that can use milk raw materials(one of the superior products in the Enrekang Regency). Kefir is formed after milk is fermented using kefir seeds in a way that issimpler than other conventional biotechnology products. The introduction of kefir making needs to be done to teachers andstudents of Enrekang Regency to support learning Biotechnology materials. This activity was carried out on 19-20 July 2019, atEnrekang Public High School 2 with participants coming from teachers and students from various junior and senior high schoolsin Enrekang Regency. The activity was attended by 13 participants and has succeeded in providing knowledge about theimportance of practicing kefir to support learning Biotechnology in schools. In addition, the participants were also able toformulate the title / theme of kefir-based research for the preparation of scientific papers.

Abstract

Bokashi compost production is carried out at the Biology Experimental Farm Laboratory as part of the Campus Intellectual Product Development Program (PPUPIK) which is one of the community service programs (PKM) of the Ministry of Research and High Education (Kemenristekdikti). This is motivated by problems encountered: (1) There is still a lack of good quality compost on the market, (2) Makassar has many horticultural and ornamental plant tips so that the demand for compost is also high, (3) compost production sites in Makassar is relatively small so that most compost in the market is obtained from other regions, thus increasing transportation costs and ultimately the price is more expensive. The method used is apprenticeship practical work, demonstrations, Forum Group discussions (FGD), and consultation. The results achieved are (1) apprentices have knowledge of compost, planting media and nutrition for good plant growth and development, (2) Apprentices have the skills to make Bokashi compost, (3) Apprentices have good production and marketing management skills good, (4) Producing bokashi compost that has good quality and adequate quantity.

Abstract

This devotion was carried out at SMP Negeri 1Benteng Kep. Selayar and attended by teachers in Benteng andSelayar Islands Senior High School and Senior High School inorder to improve understanding, skills, and innovation inpreparing evaluation questions using the Wondershare QuizCreator program. In this Community Partnership programtraining activities have been conducted to create interactiveICT-based questions. The results obtained from these programactivities are responses of all participants who have been ableto compile interactive questions that are innovative and variedindependently so that a varied and enjoyable evaluationactivity will be formed. Another advantage is that the teachercan make interactive computer-based questions.

Abstract

The Campus Intellectual Product BusinessDevelopment Program (PPUPIK) is a community serviceprogram that provides opportunities for universities to earnincome and help to create new business. Through thisprogram, Biology Experimental Farm (BEF) of Faculty ofMathematics and Science of Universitas Negeri Makassarassigned to the program in order to make BEF as profitableunit as learning resources and carrying out various productionactivities of stuff and services which are the implementation ofresearch results from lecturers and students in BiologyDepartment. A number of activities carried out included theproduction of bokasi, liquid organic fertilizers, fuel husks, andplanting media. Production of viticulture and hydroponicinstallations, cultivation of ornamental plants, chickenbreeding, development of media and learning resources andmaking BEF as learning resources and a learning destinationsfor students in South Sulawesi. In addition, through thisPPUPIK program, improvement and refinement of the biologyexperiment garden environment was carried out. PPUPIKactivities in the Biological Experimental Garden involvestudents in its various programs.
