The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought significant changes to education and guidance and counseling services, highlighting the need for approaches that can prepare students to face future challenges. This study aims to (1) analyze futuristic narratives in Kazuo Ishiguro’s Klara and the Sun that are relevant to guidance and counseling, (2) reconstruct bibliocounseling principles based on the futuristic narratives presented in the novel, and (3) develop the FutureMind Counseling Framework as a bibliocounseling framework for education in the era of artificial intelligence. This study employs a qualitative approach using a library research design and qualitative content analysis. The primary data consist of narrative excerpts from Klara and the Sun. Data were analyzed through thematic coding, interpretation, and conceptual synthesis. The findings reveal four core values relevant to guidance and counseling: Future Empathy, Future Hope, Future Resilience, and Therapeutic Relationship. These values were reconstructed into four bibliocounseling principles: honesty, therapeutic acceptance, reflective reading, and guided bibliocounseling, which subsequently constitute the FutureMind Counseling Framework. The framework integrates humanistic values, future literacy, and futuristic literary narratives as a foundation for developing guidance and counseling services oriented toward students’ psychological readiness, adaptability, and future competencies in responding to the challenges of the artificial intelligence era. This study contributes conceptually by proposing a bibliocounseling framework that expands the orientation of counseling services from problem resolution toward developing individuals’ readiness to navigate social and technological change.
