Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum in the local content of the Madurese language at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) in Pamekasan Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results show that the application of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum in the local content of the Madurese language faces several challenges, including a lack of resources, teacher training, and support facilities. However, there are efforts from the school to integrate cultural values and local wisdom into the learning process. This study recommends the need for improved coordination between the local government, schools, and the community to optimize curriculum implementation and provide adequate training for teachers to effectively teach the Madurese language. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to the development of regional language education in Indonesia, particularly in the context of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum.

Abstract

The application of ecological construction in Indonesian language and literature learning is a significant effort to integrate environmental awareness into the educational process. This study aims to explore how ecological construction is applied in language and literature learning at MA Ummul Quro Putri Pamekasan using a descriptive qualitative method and a naturalistic approach. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, involving teachers, students, and school principals as primary data sources. Based on the theory of ecological construction, which emphasizes the reciprocal relationship between humans, the environment, and culture, the study found that ecological construction was implemented by integrating environmental themes into learning materials, using teaching resources relevant to ecological issues, and engaging students in discussions that connect literature with environmental awareness. Teachers act as facilitators, encouraging students to relate learning to the ecological realities around them. Furthermore, ecological construction-based learning effectively enhances students' critical thinking, imagination, creativity, and instills sustainability values. The study concludes that implementing ecological construction positively impacts students' understanding of the importance of maintaining a balance between humans, nature, and culture, contributing to the development of holistic, sustainability-oriented learning approaches.

Abstract

Cerita rakyat Madura memiliki mitos tentang kehamilan yang tidak hanya sebagai fenomena biologis, tetapi juga sebagai simbol kekuatan kosmik dan spiritual. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna kehamilan dalam perspektif masyarakat Madura dengan fokus pada simbolisme kosmik dan pengaruhnya terhadap legitimasi peran sosial. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan hermeneutika simbolik berdasarkan teori Paul Ricoeur. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi pustaka, analisis teks cerita rakyat, dan wawancara mendalam dengan tokoh budaya serta pelaku tradisi lokal. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis hermeneutik dengan tiga tahapan, yakni prapemahaman, pemahaman, dan penafsiran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kehamilan dalam cerita rakyat Madura tidak hanya dipandang sebagai proses biologis, melainkan sebagai simbol kekuatan gaib dan perubahan sosial, yang dapat membawa anugerah atau musibah yang bergantung pada konteks budaya dan mitologisnya. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa mitos kehamilan dalam masyarakat Madura berfungsi sebagai alat untuk menginterpretasi pengalaman transenden, memberikan makna baru, dan menghubungkan individu dengan dimensi kosmik yang sering kali membawa perubahan signifikan bagi kehidupan sosial dan spiritual masyarakat.

Abstract

his study aims to analyze the representation of Madurese masculinity in the folk tale Ke’ Lesap. The focus of the study lies in the values of courage, honor, the symbol of the celurit (traditional sickle), and social responsibility as key pillars of masculinity constructed in the story. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical methods. The primary data consists of the Ke’ Lesap text, collected through document studies, while secondary data is obtained from literature on masculinity and Madurese culture. The analysis technique applies content analysis to identify masculine themes in the story’s quotations, which are then interpreted using the theory of hegemonic masculinity (Connell & Messerschmidt, 2005) and cultural representation theory (Hall, 1997). The results show that masculinity in Ke’ Lesap is embodied through the main character’s courage and willingness to sacrifice for honor, the use of the celurit as a symbol of dignity, and the social role as a protector of community integrity. Masculinity in this tale emphasizes not only individual strength but also moral responsibility toward family and society. Abstract

The humanistic and emancipatory education promoted in Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's novel Totto-Chan: The Little Girl at the Window offers a learning model that is relevant to the challenges of future education in Indonesia. This study aims to explore the application of the concept of humanistic, inclusive, and emancipatory education contained in the novel, and its relevance to 21st-century education in Indonesia. The research method used is a qualitative approach with text analysis, followed by a philosophical study of the concept of education raised in the novel. The results of the study indicate that education based on freedom, inclusivity, and character development at Tomoe Gakuen has the potential to be applied in Indonesian education, by utilizing technology to create more independent, creative, and inclusive learning, and shaping students' characters to face increasingly complex global challenges. In addition, the results of this study also highlight the importance of the role of teachers as facilitators in creating a learning environment that supports the development of 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, collaboration, and problem solving, as well as developing social empathy in the digital era.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Islam and science in university-level language learning. The purpose of this research is to identify integrative teaching strategies, evaluate their impact on students’ holistic understanding and critical thinking skills, and explore the challenges encountered during implementation. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews with lecturers and students and an analysis of curriculum documents. The theoretical framework is grounded in the theory of knowledge integration, contextual teaching and learning, and constructivism. Results indicate that lecturers successfully combine linguistic concepts with Islamic values and scientific principles, enhancing students’ overall understanding and fostering critical and creative thinking. Additionally, contextualizing language courses with an Islamic perspective and using Quranic verses as reference materials adds an ethical dimension to the learning process. However, challenges include limited comprehensive academic resources, insufficient lecturer training, student resistance to multidisciplinary approaches, and inadequate institutional policy support. In conclusion, integrating Islam and science effectively enriches the learning experience, provided that improvements in academic resources and institutional policies are implemented.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has had a substantial impact on the field of education, particularly in the strategies used by educators to deliver material in the classroom. This research aims to analyze and explain how interactive animation-based videos are used in news text learning for 11th-grade students at SMAN 1 Galis. The method applied is descriptive qualitative. data collection techniques thru observation and interviews at that school. Data sources include eleventh-grade students, Indonesian language teachers, and journal and book references. The research results show that the use of interactive animated video media is very effective in increasing students' enthusiasm and learning outcomes. This is because the teacher implemented several steps to maximize the use of this media in learning activities. The use of interactive animated videos in teaching news text also indirectly contributes to strengthening students' listening, speaking, and writing abilities. Therefore, this medium has a significant positive impact on learning news text among eleventh-grade students at SMAN 1 Galis.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explain how Padlet media is used to improve poetry writing skills among students of MTsN 4 Pamekasan. This study applies a descriptive qualitative method. Data were obtained through participant observation, semi-structured interviews involving students and teachers, and collecting documentation of poetry written by students. The data analysis process was carried out qualitatively by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The findings of this study indicate that the use of Padlet has a positive effect on the development of students’ poetry writing skills. Padlet offers a collaborative and interactive platform, which helps students share thoughts, provide feedback, and revise their writing. In addition, Padlet successfully increased students’ motivation and involvement in the process of learning to write poetry. Thus, Padlet media can be an effective choice in teaching poetry writing at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana media Padlet digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi di kalangan siswa MTsN 4 Pamekasan. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara semi-terstruktur yang melibatkan siswa dan guru, serta pengumpulan dokumentasi puisi yang ditulis oleh siswa. Proses analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan cara mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Padlet memberikan efek positif dalam pengembangan keterampilan menulis puisi siswa. Padlet menawarkan platform yang kolaboratif dan interaktif, yang membantu siswa berbagi pemikiran, memberikan umpan balik, dan merevisi tulisan mereka. Selain itu, Padlet berhasil meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar menulis puisi. Dengan demikian, media Padlet bisa menjadi pilihan yang efektif dalam pengajaran menulis puisi di tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah.

Abstract

Keterampilan berbicara dan menyimak merupakan kemampuan literasi yang penting untuk membantu peserta didik memahami informasi secara efektif dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan strategi pembelajaran ekspor pustaka dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca dan menyimak siswa kelas XI SMA 5 Pamekasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan data berupa hasil wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang diperoleh dari guru serta aktivitas pembelajaran di SMA 5 Pamekasan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Strategi pembelajaran eksplore pustaka berpijak pada teori pembelajaran berbasis literasi yang menekankan pemanfaatan berbagai sumber belajar untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca dan menyimak peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi ekspor pustaka diterapkan melalui pembelajaran di perpustakaan, penggunaan media LCD dan video pembelajaran, diskusi kelompok, serta pemberian reward yang mampu meningkatkan minat belajar, keterlibatan, kemampuan membaca, dan kemampuan menyimak siswa. Dengan demikian strategi pembelajaran ekspor pustaka dapat menjadi alternatif pembelajaran yang efektif dalam mendukung keterampilan membaca dan menyimak siswa.

Abstract

This study examines the use of MetaExplain as a Meta AI-based learning medium in teaching explanatory texts to 10th-grade students at Sampang 1 Public High School. The issues underlying this study are students’ still-low ability to understand and write explanatory texts, as well as the suboptimal use of technology-based learning media in teaching and learning activities. This study aims to describe the process and outcomes of using MetaExplain in explanatory text instruction. It employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a field research design. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that the use of MetaExplain fosters a more interactive, innovative, and student-centered learning process. Furthermore, the Meta AI-based platform helps improve students’ understanding of the structure and linguistic conventions of explanatory texts and enhances their ability to write in a more coherent and logical manner. The implementation of MetaExplain also has a positive impact on students’ motivation, engagement, and self-directed learning in Indonesian language instruction. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengkaji pemanfaatan MetaExplain sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis Meta AI dalam pembelajaran teks eksplanasi pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sampang. Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memahami dan menulis teks eksplanasi serta belum optimalnya penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses serta hasil penggunaan MetaExplain dalam pembelajaran teks eksplanasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian lapangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan MetaExplain mampu menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, inovatif, dan berorientasi pada peserta didik. Selain itu, media berbasis Meta AI membantu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap struktur serta kaidah kebahasaan teks eksplanasi dan meningkatkan kemampuan menulis secara lebih runtut dan logis. Pemanfaatan MetaExplain juga memberikan dampak positif terhadap motivasi, keaktifan, dan kemandirian belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia.
