Abstract

An incubator room is conditioned to keep the temperature warm so the baby feels comfortable. A temperature monitor system for the incubator room placed separately from where the officer works is a hassle. It wastes time. Temperature detector design for infant incubator which has constant temperature is necessary. An LM35 sensor as a temperature detector was used in the design. The sensor was installed in a 100 x 80 cm room. The detected temperature was displayed on the LCD and computer in the staff room. Temperature (°C) is converted by an Arduino Uno microcontroller into an ADC (Analog Digital to Converter) value. Several LM35 sensors were mounted in rooms to detect the temperature. The LM 35 sensor was used by considering that it can be calibrated directly in the Celsius scale, a linear scale factor of 10mV/°C and has a temperature range between -55 ° C and 150 ° C.

Abstract

PLTGU is a gas and steam power plant, producing electrical energy of 3x526 MW. The PLTGU generation process has several supporting components, one of which is a three-phase induction motor. It requires a balanced three-phase supply voltage in its operation. The problem that frequently occurs is unbalanced voltage supply, causing an imbalance of current going to the motor stator, if not directly corrected. It causes a high temperature on the motor, possible to cause a fire. Based on the problems, a system for monitoring the protection of steam pump motorcycles due to voltage unbalance based on the Internet of Things is designed.  It used a 1-phase AC Adapter voltage sensor, a current sensor SCT-013, an Arduino Uno as the processor, and a web to display the system. The test results showed that the sensor could work well. It could read voltage with an error percentage not exceeding 1%. The percentage error of the current sensor SCT-013 was 5.15%, but the value difference between the sensor and the Avo meter was 0.01. The system was displayed on the web to make to monitor the motor condition more easily

Abstract

Dalam teknologi penangkapan ikan yang berkembang saat ini masih menggunakan teknologi fishfinder yang berbasis akustik, selain mahal tidak semua ikan terdeteksi alat ini. Padahal Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan (KKP) saat ini telah menyediakan peta digital daerah persebaran ikan. Peta tersebut kita kenal dengan Peta Perkiraan Daerah Penangkapan Ikan (PPDPI). Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, sudah mulai dikembangkan teknologi yang lebih baik, yang dinamakan Portable Virtual Assistant untuk nelayan. Penelitian ini menfokuskan pada cara memperoleh data latitude dan longitude area berkumpulnya ikan yang berasal dari peta PPDPI. Terlebih dahulu gambar peta digital tersebut diolah dengan cara menentukan area fokus gambar peta yang akan diolah pada tahap berikutnya dengan menggunakan image processing. Area fokus gambar peta tersebut dirubah dari gambar berwarna menjadi hitam-putih. Dengan hitam-putih, gambar lebih mudah diolah lagi untuk ditemukan titik koordinat piksel gambar. Titik koordinat piksel tersebut dirubah ke latitude dan longitude dengan cara menggunakan rumus perbandingan latitude dan longitude peta dunia. Hasil penelitian ini mampu memberikan keakurasian hingga 1.791838% untuk latitude dan 1.11416% untuk longitude. AbstractExisting fishing technology still uses the acoustic-based fishfinder, besides expensive, itdoes not detect all types of fish. Whereas, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Republic of Indonesia has provided digital map of fish distribution. The digital map is known as Peta Perkiraan Daerah Penangkapan Ikan (PPDPI). To tackle the problem, a better technolgy has just been developed , namely Portable Virtual Assistant for sailor. This study focuses on how to get latitude and longitude of fish group sourcing from the PPDPI map. Firstly the digital map is processed to determine the focus area of map image processed on the next steps by image processing. The focus area of map image is changed from color image to black and white image. By black and white image, it is easier to be processed again to be found coordinate-piksel of image. The coordinate-piksel was converted to latitude and longitude by comparing formula latitude and longitude of world map. The result is able to give accuracy up to 1.791838% for latitude and 1.11416% for longitude.

Abstract

Ships are sea transportation that is often used in Indonesia. However, who would have thought that the transportation would become a case because of the frequent occurrence of accidents. This has been proven from data from the KNKT (National Transportation Safety Committee) which noted that from 2012 to 2017 there had been an increase in accidents in the waters. In fact, according to the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) in 2020 there have been 878 incidents with victims reaching 4658 people. In this final project, the author makes a prototype of BNWAS (Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System) equipped with obstacle warning using image processing with the otsu method strengthened by thresholding-based segmentation with inverse technique (TsTN), distance detection using the triangle similarity method, real-time tracking with GPS (Global Positioning System) and the entire system can be observed on the Android application. The Final Project performs several analyzes including performance analysis by calculating the accuracy of the BNWAS alarm system, image detection accuracy, distance detection accuracy, GPS accuracy, overall system testing accuracy and packet loss. The accuracy of each system is very good because the error is below 2%, while for overall system testing has a very good performance with a delay of 179.8 ms and 0% packet loss.

Abstract

Tiga perempat wilayah Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI) merupakan wilayah perairan.NKRI adalah negara kepulauan dengan jumlah pulau terbanyak di dunia yaitu 17.504 pulau serta mempunyai panjang garis pantai terpanjang kedua di dunia setelah Kanada. Kebiasaan nelayan Indonesia memasuki wilayah perairan negara lain membuat nelayan Indonesia ditangkap oleh penegak hukum negara lain. Kebiasaan nelayan Indonesia memasuki wilayah perikanan Australia kerap menimbulkan pasang surut hubungan kedua negara. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini dibuat prototipe perangkat yang dapat memberikan informasi kepada nelayan ketika berlayar bahwa posisi kapal melanggar batas perairan negara lain atau tidak. Sebagian besar kapal-kapal nelayan tradisional tersebut tidak dilengkapi dengan alat navigasi yang memadai. Sehingga perlu perangkat yang dapat memberikan informasi dini kepada jika telah mendekati batas zona perairan negara lain. Prototipe dibuat dengan menggunakan Arduino Mega 2560 / Arduino Uno dan GPS Neo-6M. Modul GPS Neo 6M digunakan sebagai penentuan lokasi posisi kapal kapal, posisi kapal latitude (x) dan longitude (y). Kemudian titik-titik pada garis perbatasan garis, data latitude (xi) dan longitude (yi) diinputkan terlebih dahulu dalam mikrokontroller. Mikrokontroller menghitung jarak posisi kapal dengan titik-titik pada garis perbatasan. Dari pengujian dan pengambilan data yang telah dilakukan, diketahui bahwa rata-rata error dengan Arduino Mega adalah 3,19 % dan dengan menggunakan Arduino Uno nilai error (rata-rata) adalah 5,32 %.

Abstract

Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya (PPNS) merupakan Perguruan Tinggi pendidikan vokasi yang bergerak di bidang perkapalan dan teknologi. Salah satu faktor pendukung tercapainya Visi PPNS untuk menjadi Politeknik Unggul Bereputasi Global di bidang Maritim dan penunjangnya adalah reputasi dan kualitas proses pembelajaran yang baik. Hal ini mendorong PPNS untuk membangun mekanisme pengelolaan pembelajaran dalam pola pikir sistem. Untuk mendukung program pendidikan yang ada di PPNS, Kompetensi dosen sangat diperlukan dalam proses pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan data pendukung salah satunya yaitu melalui kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap kinerja dosen, khususnya dalam proses pendidikan dan pengajaran. Pengolahan data tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan metode algorima K-Means. Berdasarkan hasil cluster Dengan K-Means didapatkan empat kelompok. Cluster pertama, adalah kelompok dosen dengan nilai Pedagogik, profesional, kepribadian, dan sosial paling rendah dengan rata-rata EPD 2,38, cluster kedua memiliki EPD dengan rata-rata 3,04, cluster ketiga memiliki EPD dengan rata-rata 3,31, dan cluster keempat memiliki rata-rata EPD tertinggi mencapai 3,55.

Abstract

The development of information technology both software and hardware support development in various fields, especially in the field of electronics. This progress can be used in making automation systems and controlling electronic and electrical components. With the increasing need for system monitoring in real-time, a model that is more than just portable storage can be developed, using telemetry (remote measurement) systems. This research makes a prototype that is used for remote monitoring of electronic equip-ment telemetry in the passenger space of ferries using wireless communica-tions. Radiofrequency is used for electronic equipment located in the passen-ger space. The system is made using ACS 712 current sensor and ZMPT 101B voltage sensor to measure current and voltage monitored by long-range wire-less communications (LoRa) to maintain the strength of the amplifier signal and the distance that the LoRa can reach. By utilizing the frequency of the LoRa, it is expected to monitor the load current and voltage generated by electronic equipment in the ferry passenger's passenger space. From the monitoring tool obtained the test results of testing Television with power 27 W and Voltage 19 Volt obtained the percentage of voltage error is 1.09 % and the percentage of current error is 1.15 %.3. Based on the results of the test data, it can be concluded that the current, voltage in the passenger room of the JokoTole KMP ship is fluctuating. This needs to be done monitoring the current load on the ship, especially in the safety alarm system, electronic de-vices, pumps for the safety of shipping, which at KMP Joko Tole still uses con-ventional technology and the absence of adequate electrical system data sup-port.

Abstract

PT. XYZ adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang building dan repair kapal. Kapal yang di bangun oleh PT. XYZ di desain dengan modern, nyaman dan tanguh. Sistem emergency tangki bahan bakar pada kapal yang dibangun oleh PT. XYZ sangat sederhana yaitu dengan cara kerjanya, pada saat ada kebakaran di sekitar area tangki bahan bakar, maka ABK kapal bergegas naik ke anjungan untuk menarik tali kawat agar katub tangki bahan bakar tertutup. Dengan kekurangannya sistem emergency tangki bahan bakar yang kurang baik, maka akan dibuatlah sistem pengendali tangki bahan bakar pada kapal secara otomatis menggunakan jaringan kabel optik. Sistem ini dirancang dengan pengontrolan jarak jauh dengan menggunakan komponen-komponen seperti motor servo untuk menarik tali kawat pada valve tangki bahan bakar, mikrokontroller untuk sambungan kontrol motor servo, Sensor api untuk mendeteksi bara api, konverter optik untuk sambungan kabel jaringan dan juga interface web untuk mengontrol sistem. Dari hasil pengujian, sistem ini dapat bekerja dan berfungsi dengan baik. Sensor api dapat membaca bara api dengan jarak minimal 2 cm dan maksimal 7 cm dengan kecepatan transfer data yang sangat cepat adalah 1.01 second. Hasil tersebut didapatkan setelah melakukan uji coba dengan beberapa kondisi.

Abstract

Calibration is required for various kinds of tools from kitchen tools such as stirrers or mixers to medical tools such as temperature calibration, ECG, blood pressure, and other instrumentation tools to be according to the required standards. In medical devices, a digital tachometer has been used as a calibration support device to measure the speed of objects that rotate in RPM on the centrifuge. Some medical devices are calibrated in km/hour, for example, the ergo cycle and treadmill. Two different devices or a conversion from RPM to km/hour are required. The research aimed to design a measurement device that performed calibration of devices with different units, namely tachometer that can be used to measure speed in RPM and km/hr. Based on the research objective, a tool was made to measure the motor's rotational speed using the E18-D80NK sensor, microcontroller, and LCD without touching the object being measured.

Abstract

Body health is the most important thing for human life. The heart is one of the organs of the body that is very important for humans. The heart functions to regulate the circulation of oxygen-rich blood and to carry leftover food in the body. Heart rate illustrates how hard the heart works. The heart rate needs to be monitored to find out the patient's condition. BPM measurement and temperature is an activity of measuring heart rate and body temperature. The patient’s body temperature affects the patient's rapid heart to pump blood throughout the body.  The study aims to design a heart rate and body temperature measuring device using an infrared LED as a transmitter and a photodiode as a receiver, an LM35 as the temperature sensor, and an LCD to display the final output. This tool uses an ATMega8 microcontroller as the controlling system.  The device was completed with data storage and temperature indicators.  The result of the test on the device showed that the device performed very well in measuring the heart rate and body temperature of adult patients aged 20 until 40 years old.
