Abstract

The use of learning media will facilitate teachers and students in the English learning process. One of the learning media that can be used is Wordwall. This research aims to develop materials using learning media based on the Wordwall Website and analyze the development results related to its suitability for vocabulary teaching. The subjects of this study were students of grade 10-2 at Madrasah Aliyah Sirojut Tholibin. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method. The development model used in this research was ADDIE which consists of five steps: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. In the development process, there was the involvement of instrument experts, product experts, and material experts before the media was tested on students. Each result provided by the expert was used as material for improvement. The validation results from instrument experts amounted to 80%, product experts 90%, and material experts 78%. It means that the learning media developed is "valid" to be tested on students as learning media. After the trial process, students gave responses with an average percentage of 84.3%. It means that the media is also "valid" to be used to help improve their vocabulary and learning motivation in English lessons.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an English book for X TKR of Vocational High School by implementing an Independent curriculum. Base on the result of need analysis with students and interviews with English teacher, the researchers find the problem that SMK Darul Huda Blitar implementing independent curriculum but do not have patent materials for learning English using the independent curriculum. The product was created using the R&D approach with five stages of ADDIE model: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. In this study, the research instruments and data sources were from need analysis questionnaire, interview guidelines, and student satisfaction questionnaire. The results of research show that English learning books accompanied by illustrations, a little material and equipped with practice can increase understanding and enthusiasm in lessons. Based on the results of a student satisfaction questionnaire filled out by 19 students after using English books for contextual purposes, the score reached 96%, which means this media is very good for use in increasing interest and understanding in English lessons.

Abstract

  One of the important skills in English is speaking, because speaking English makes it easier to practice and interact directly. The focus of this research is students' pronunciation of English vocabulary. Based on observations at Mambaul Jadid Vocational School, students’ have trouble in learning English because the module is still LKS-based and the teacher's explanation. Therefore, developing interesting additional media is a must for students not to get bored in learning English. The media game SOS is a game developed by researchers using a specific objective to practice pronunciation in English. Media development uses the RnD Model (Research and Development) and the ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The media design is made with a user guide that makes it easy for players. The game media has been validated previously and obtained a final score of 98% in the very valid category. Students as respondents gave their opinion about game media through a questionnaire. The final score of the questionnaire was 89% in the "very good" category. These results indicate that the SOS game media has been made interesting and can be understood in playing it. Based on this research, game media for grade 10 vocational schools can be used in the learning process in class as additional media.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of student interest in learning and motivation towards learning English at MTs An-Nur Bululawang. The type of research used by researchers is qualitative research, namely research that focuses on in-depth observation of a problem. The method used is field research, which is a data collection method that aims to observe, interact, and understand people when they are in the natural environment. In the world of education, interest and motivation are needed because it includes an attitude or encouragement that is carried out continuously in order to achieve something that is desired. According to the results of the analysis above, MTs An-Nur Bululawang students have high enthusiasm to take part in learning English at school. They try to answer the teacher's questions and ask the teacher if there is material that they don't understand. However, when they are given assignments from the teacher, they prefer to just copy their friends rather than do it themselves. they also don't really review English lessons at Islamic boarding schools. one of the factors that influence them are individual students, the school environment, and the pesantren environment.

Abstract

This study focuses on helping English students and teachers find the ideal development module material for reading comprehension Under the 2013 curriculum, this study is a module that extends exercises to Help students understand English lessons and use the latest materials and resources. There are several reasons underlying this research, but (1) English language learning in this class applies a student center to discover students' interests and talents in the class, and the contextual method allows students to be proactive in following lessons. Research and Development (R&D), or research used to make certain goods and evaluate their suitability. This research and development use the ADDIE research model developed by Dick and Carry (1996). Media verification results of 90% and 8O by 5 performances from learning professionals. Product test results made in 2 meetings reached 74.0625%. The research and development results show a significant impact On the use of the reading module for students learning English. In conclusion, this module is an effective learning media that complements students' learning materials when studying English reading comprehension.

Abstract

Indonesia, English is still taught as a foreign language. This is due to the fact that English is not a common language among Indonesians. Nevertheless, the Indonesian government has included English in the curriculum to be taught in schools, taking into account its significance for international communication. Action research was used to carry out this investigation. One significant advancement in education is the use of action research. It has to do with what the teacher thinks. Do research to obtain a deeper understanding of the teaching and learning process in his own classroom.adding the in-person instructor (Burns, 2010:2). It aims to clarify the cause-and-effect link between the activities and results in order to resolve problems and put into practice workable methods to improve a situation. The researcher used a variety of techniques to collect data on the state of English instruction and education in MI Ma''arif Nurul Islam Pronojiwo's class IV. Initially, the researcher and the English teacher performed interviews and talks. Observations were then conducted to determine the classroom's true state. According to the results of cycles 1 and 2, using flashcards in the teaching and learning process helped students' vocabulary grow. Students' participation in class activities and the learning process is increased when they use flashcards. MI Ma''arif Nu Nurul Islam Pronojiwo students in class IV B served as the study's subjects. The objective of this study is to enhance the language skills of students in the fourth grade.  We started this investigation in July 2023. The tasks were finished in two cycles, and the content was connected to descriptive text.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process and results of developing a picture series to teach English reading skills for explanatory text material. The sample of this research is the XI grade students of MA Bustanul Mutaalimin which amounted to 19 people. Students learn many things at school, including learning languages.  This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. The data in this study were collected through observation, unstructured interviews, and questionnaires. The data were analyzed using a manual percentage formula. The results were obtained from the validation of instruments, media, and materials. The percentage of media expert validation gets a value of 83% which means "very valid", and material expert validation gets a value of 72.5% which means "valid". In addition, the results of student responses about the media get a score of 81,57% which means "very satisfied". In conclusion, the picture series learning media is ready to be used by teachers as a learning media.

Abstract

The research's objective is to describe the process of developing contextual-based student worksheets while at the same time knowing the results of developing contextual-based student worksheets for students. To achieve this goal, the type of research used is Research and Development (R&D). Data collection techniques in this study were validation questionnaires and student responses. Data were analyzed through the level of validity and practicality of student worksheets (LKS) using a predetermined formula. The results of this development have resulted in student worksheets being declared very valid by students’ worksheet and material design experts with an average value of 92%. Student satisfaction response questionnaire obtained by 90% can be said to be very practical. The conclusion of the study is that the use of student worksheets (LKS) can improve the vocabulary mastery of MI Al - Usman class VI Kedungkandang Malang students, especially in the ability to understand concrete learning

Abstract

Writing is one of the language skills. Every student will be taught how to write from an early age. Writing skills are very important for students to support their learning process. In addition, writing has many benefits including improving memory function, reducing stress, and providing a greater feeling of happiness. This community service activity aims to train students at MI Aisyiyah Kertosono to write a simple written work. This activity is intended for students in grades 4, 5, and 6. The implementation method includes 1) providing material by way of presentation, 2) questions and answers, 3) writing exercises with a specified theme, 4) writing exercises with a free theme, 5) presenting the results of the written work. In addition to training students' writing skills, this activity is also expected to foster students' self-confidence in pouring stories into written form. The results of the activity produce written works that are published and printed for the library collection. In addition, this activity can foster students' self-confidence and creativity in pouring their ideas into written form.

Abstract

This study examined the development of context-based English learning materials for Grade 11 automotive students at SMKN 1 Nglegok, addressing the need for vocationally relevant English resources within the Merdeka Curriculum framework. Using a Research and Development approach, the study created five units focused on automotive language needs, such as workshop communication and customer interaction, employing Context-Based Learning (CBL) principles to enhance real-world applicability. Feedback from teachers and students indicated high satisfaction with the materials’ relevance, comprehensive language components, and engaging, interactive elements. Positive responses highlighted the materials' role in improving job readiness, though some feedback suggested the need for refinements, such as adjusting language complexity and incorporating more multimedia support to address diverse proficiency levels. Overall, this research highlights the importance of context-specific English materials in vocational education, providing foundational insights for future enhancements to better equip students with practical language skills for industry applications.
