Abstract

Indonesian language learning plays a strategic role in developing students’ language competencies, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. However, instructional practices in the classroom are still predominantly characterized by conventional approaches that tend to inadequately promote student engagement and active participation. Therefore, the implementation of innovative learning models that are relevant to students’ characteristics is necessary. This study aims to describe various models of Indonesian language learning and to analyze the advantages of each model in improving the quality of the learning process and outcomes. The method employed in this study is a literature review using a descriptive qualitative approach through the analysis of various scientific sources, including journals, books, and relevant articles published within the last five years. The findings indicate that Problem Based Learning, Project Based Learning, Discovery Learning, Inquiry Learning, and Contextual Teaching and Learning models have significant contributions in enhancing student engagement, critical thinking skills, and learning outcomes. Thus, the selection and implementation of appropriate learning models are essential in achieving effective, innovative, and meaningful Indonesian language learning.

Abstract

Writing skills are an essential competency in Indonesian language learning, playing a significant role in developing students’ critical thinking and communication abilities. However, various studies indicate that students’ writing skills remain relatively low, particularly in generating ideas and organizing texts systematically. This study aims to analyze the teaching of writing skills through the process approach (prewriting, drafting, revising) and the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on recent literature. The method used is a literature review by analyzing relevant scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2024. The results of the review show that the writing process approach can gradually improve the quality of students’ writing, while the PBL model is effective in enhancing students’ motivation and critical thinking skills. The integration of both approaches provides a more optimal impact on writing skills. Therefore, process-based and contextual problem-based writing instruction is recommended for implementation in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Talking Stick learning model assisted by the “Kotak Rahasia Negara Kita” media on the conceptual understanding of fifth-grade elementary school students. The study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of two groups, namely the experimental class and the control class, which were selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out using tests to measure students’ conceptual understanding through pretest and posttest in the form of essay questions based on conceptual understanding indicators. In addition, non-test techniques such as observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation were used as supporting data. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS through validity tests, reliability tests, item difficulty, discrimination index, normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using independent sample t-test and simple linear regression. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the Talking Stick learning model assisted by the “Kotak Rahasia Negara Kita” media on students’ conceptual understanding. This is indicated by the t-test significance value of 0.004 (<0.05) and the regression significance value of 0.024 (<0.05). Therefore, the learning model is effective in improving students’ conceptual understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in directing the interests and talents of students with Cerebral Palsy through Boccia sports training at SLB Negeri 1 Yogyakarta. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the identification of students’ interests and talents is conducted through repeated assessments that examine physical abilities, psychological readiness, and individual potential. Teachers play a central role in determining the appropriate field of development, with Boccia selected as the main training medium due to its suitability with the motor characteristics of students with Cerebral Palsy. Training strategies include adaptive instructional methods, the provision of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, gradual and structured exercises, and a combination of group and individual training sessions. The school provides substantial support through facilities, funding, and partnerships with external sports clubs. The training significantly enhances students’ motor, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities, including improvements in confidence and competitive achievement. The main challenges arise from students’ internal psychological barriers and limited parental support; however, these obstacles are addressed through adaptive teaching approaches, consistent communication, and intensive guidance. Overall, the study emphasizes that teachers play a crucial role in the successful development of interests and talents among students with Cerebral Palsy within adaptive sports programs

Abstract

The main problem addressed in this study is the low academic achievementof fourth-grade students at Bugbug Public Elementary School 2. This study aims toimprove academic achievement using the Numbered Heads Together cooperativelearning model supported by WordWall. This study is a classroom action research(CAR) project. The subjects of this study were 28 fourth-grade students at BugbugPublic Elementary School 2, consisting of 15 boys and 13 girls. The data collectedwere quantitative data using a test instrument to measure learning outcomes. Thelearning outcomes after Cycle I showed an initial average score of 66 and aclassical learning mastery rate of 46%. No significant improvement in learningoutcomes was observed in Cycle I. In Cycle II, an improvement in learning outcomes was evident, with an average score of 78 and a classical learning mastery rate of 93%. Based on the above findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together cooperative learning model, supported by WordWall, can improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at State Elementary School 2 Bugbug

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) learning model on students' critical thinking skills in the Pancasila Education subject in elementary schools. The background of the study is based on observation findings at SDN Cilandak Barat 07 which showed that students' critical thinking skills were still low and learning tended to use conventional methods. This study used a quantitative approach with a Quasi Nonequivalent Control Group design experimental method. The study population was all 42 fifth-grade students, with class 5A (21 students) as the experimental group receiving the VCT model treatment and class 5B (21 students) as the control group with the conventional model. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data were collected through pretests and posttests in the form of essay questions. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental class (70.55) was higher than that of the control class (62.2). Hypothesis testing using an independent sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.011 (<0.05), and a paired sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant effect of the VCT model on students' critical thinking skills. The VCT model encourages students to be more active in analyzing problems, evaluating values, and drawing conclusions. Therefore, the VCT model is recommended as an effective learning alternative to improve students' critical thinking skills in Pancasila Education in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study examines the role of human resource management based on knowledge management in improving the quality of Islamic education. The research is motivated by the need for adaptive and knowledge-based management in educational institutions amid globalization and digital transformation. This study aims to analyze how the integration of knowledge management in human resource management contributes to sustainable educational quality improvement. The research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by reviewing relevant literature, including books, journals, and previous studies. The findings indicate that knowledge management plays a strategic role in enhancing teachers' competencies through processes of knowledge creation, storage, sharing, and application. The implementation of knowledge management encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within educational institutions. However, several challenges remain, such as the lack of knowledge-sharing culture, limited technological infrastructure, and insufficient leadership support. Therefore, strengthening organizational culture, improving digital literacy, and optimizing leadership roles are essential to ensure effective implementation. In conclusion, human resource management based on knowledge management significantly contributes to improving the quality of Islamic education in a holistic and sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing Kahoot learning media on students' interest in learning Science (IPAS) in 5th grade at SDN 15 Pemulutan. This research is motivated by the low interest of students in learning, characterized by a lack of attention and participation during the teaching and learning process. The research method used is a quantitative method with a Pre-Experimental design (One-Group Pretest-Posttest). The research instrument used was a questionnaire on interest in learning. Data analysis techniques included validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, and hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample t-test. The results showed that the average pretest score was 33.10 and the average posttest score was 48.87. Hypothesis testing results obtained a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the application of Kahoot learning media on the interest in learning IPAS of 5th grade students at SDN 15 Pemulutan.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the need for learning that aligns with the characteristics of Generation Alpha at the elementary school level, who prefer visual, interactive, and technology-based learning. In practice, Islamic Religious Education, especially the Prophet Muhammad's Da'wah Struggle in Mecca, is still dominated by lecture methods and textbooks, resulting in relatively low student interest and understanding. This study aims to develop an Android-based digital learning media called “PECI” (Pemimpin Cilik Beraksi) to improve student engagement and comprehension. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The trial subjects consisted of 11 third-grade students of SDN Tanjungmekar. Research instruments included material and media expert validation sheets, as well as pretest and posttest questions. The validation results indicated that the media was categorized as highly feasible with an average score of 91.25% from material experts and 93.75% from media experts. The implementation of the media through interactive learning videos and quizzes showed increased student activity and enthusiasm during the learning process. Statistical analysis using paired sample t-test showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p < 0.05). In addition, the average N-gain score of 0.530 was categorized as moderate, indicating an improvement in students’ understanding. Thus, the Android-based PECI media is considered effective and feasible as an innovative Islamic Religious Education learning tool to improve understanding and character development of elementary school students.

Abstract

Teacher performance in elementary schools is a key factor in determining the quality of learning processes and outcomes. However, in practice, variations in teacher performance are still found, influenced by differences in ability, motivation, and work environment conditions. One approach considered relevant to addressing this problem is the application of contingency leadership theory, which emphasizes adapting leadership style to the situation at hand. This study aims to analyze the application of contingency leadership theory in improving teacher performance in elementary schools. The methodology used is a literature review by examining various scientific sources in the form of journals, books, and relevant publications published in recent years. The analysis was conducted by collecting, categorizing, and synthesizing research findings related to contingency leadership and teacher performance. The results of the study indicate that the application of contingency leadership by school principals can improve teacher performance by adjusting leadership style based on the level of teacher readiness, competence, and motivation. In addition, strategies such as effective communication, adaptive supervision, and providing motivation and training as needed have been shown to contribute positively to improving the quality of learning. Thus, contingency leadership is an effective and flexible approach to improving teacher performance in elementary schools.
