Abstract

The problem faced by cooperatives is their poor service management, professionalism, and financial performance, which have not significantly impacted the existence of the cooperative and its members. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve knowledge about good cooperative management through community service in the form of training and mentoring. This community service aims to improve the management of the KOPJAS cooperative in managing its finances and services, so that it can progress and develop. The community service method used is a qualitative method with a training and mentoring model based on Islamic teachings. As a result, the management of the KOPJAS cooperative must be carried out professionally and responsibly in its services and finances, so that it can realize a cooperative that is advanced and developing in accordance with Islamic teachings. Many Quranic verses and Hadiths teach Islamic values, such as mutual assistance and helping those in need within a family. Through cooperatives, Islamic values can be applied in the form of excellent service management, financial management, and professionalism of management, in advancing the cooperative so that it can contribute more to society. The progress and development of cooperatives is evidenced by the establishment of charitable enterprises such as stalls, MSMEs, and others that support the increase in capital and profits of the cooperative and the welfare of its members and the community.

Abstract

Pineapples are a key commodity in Sungai Malaya Village. Peat soil is a limiting factor, while partners need fertilizer. However, the high cost and limited availability of fertilizer are problematic. Furthermore, long-term use of chemical fertilizers can further worsen soil conditions. Harvested pineapple waste is often discarded, creating a habitat for various disease vectors. Unsold pineapples are simply piled up until they spoil. Therefore, post-harvest management and agricultural land management on peat soil are essential. The partner in this activity is the Harapan Jaya Farmers Group in Sungai Malaya Village. The purpose of the community service is to educate partners about zero waste and provide training in making pineapple chips and food additives (POC) from pineapple waste. The community service method is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which consists of three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the community service show that partners have been able to make POC and pineapple chips thanks to a vacuum fryer. Although the initial practice of making chips resulted in poor quality, after several practices, partners were finally able to produce crispy chips that meet standards. The evaluation results also indicate an increase in partners' knowledge and skills. The conclusion of the activity was that POC could be used as a safer alternative fertilizer for partners. Meanwhile, pineapple chips could become a business opportunity for partners in the future

Abstract

Stunting remains a major public health issue in South Central Timor Regency, including Tesi Ayofanu Village, driven by low nutrition literacy, suboptimal parenting practices, and limited comprehension due to the dominant use of local language. This community service program aimed to improve community understanding of stunting through the utilization of the Dawan language as an educational medium. The novelty of this program lies in the systematic integration of a local language into both educational delivery and supporting materials. The program employed participatory education, parenting training, interactive discussions, and the distribution of Dawan-language pamphlets, conducted alongside routine Posyandu activities. The program involved village authorities, health workers, and local residents. The results indicate that 85% of participants were able to re-explain stunting prevention concepts, 80% actively participated in discussions, and 95% received and utilized the educational pamphlets. The use of the Dawan language significantly improved community participation and comprehension. These findings suggest that local language-based approaches are effective in strengthening community health literacy. This model offers a culturally grounded strategy that can be replicated to support stunting reduction efforts in rural areas.

Abstract

This Integrated Social and Educational-Based Program aimed to enhance community participation and social tolerance in Pilowo Village, South Morotai District, Pulau Morotai Regency. The program was initiated due to limited and sporadic community participation that had not been systematically integrated into village development initiatives. The implementation employed a participatory-collaborative approach through stages of socialization, collective community service activities, educational and recreational events, and a public dialogue session at the end of the program. Evaluation was conducted using mixed methods involving 78 respondents through pre-test and post-test questionnaires, interviews, and focus group discussions. The results indicated significant improvements in social participation (M=3.12 to 4.36), social tolerance (M=3.25 to 4.41), and awareness of education and community empowerment (M=3.05 to 4.28) with significance value p<0.001. Qualitative findings revealed strengthened social interaction, cross-group communication, and collective commitment toward program sustainability. The program demonstrates that a structured participatory approach effectively strengthens social capital and supports inclusive and sustainable village development.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen the capacity of the Mataram City Muhammadiyah Youth Organization in facing contemporary organizational challenges. The main problem identified was the need for increased in-depth understanding of Governance and Compliance, Strategic Planning and Performance Measurement, and Risk Management and Decision Making. The activity methods included mentoring, intensive material provision, and practical training. Evaluation results showed high program effectiveness. The average initial Pre-test score of 50-60 points increased drastically to 75-80 in the Post-Test, reflects significant improvement in understanding towards the very good category. This improvement recommended the adoption of the training module as an organizational standard and a shift in the focus of follow-up to the implementation of field skills.

Abstract

This community service aims to analyze student learning characteristics based on the speed of understanding mathematics material through observation of the learning process and analysis of daily test scores in class VIII-B students of SMP Negeri 1 Kapongan. The results of the observation showed a quite striking difference in ability, where only a few students were active, confident, and able to answer questions quickly, while most other students appeared passive, hesitant, lacked focus, and showed low learning motivation. Analysis of daily test scores supported the findings of the community service, the results of which 60% of students were in the low category (0–59), 28% in the medium category (60–69), 8% in the high category (70–89), and only 4% reached the very high category (90–100). This distribution of scores indicates that the majority of students have not yet understood the material well. This finding confirms that the factors of activeness, attention, motivation, and self-confidence have a strong influence on the speed of student understanding. This community service activity also provides an important overview for teachers and prospective educators to use more varied learning strategies that are appropriate to the learning characteristics of each student.

Abstract

This community service aimed to empower seafood processing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Hakatutobu Village through digital marketing training and the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The lack of digital marketing skills and technological limitations were the main obstacles faced by partners in expanding market reach. The method employed was Participatory Action Research (PAR) combined with hands-on training for 25 participants. The core material focused on AI prompting literacy to generate effective copywriting and promotional designs. Success was measured by comparing pre-test and post-test scores and paired sample t-test. Quantitative results showed an average increase in participants' understanding of 55% (from 50.0 to 77.5), which was proven statistically significant (p < 0.001). Qualitatively, participants were able to produce their first digital promotional content. The evaluation instrument comprised 20 items assessing five digital marketing competency indicators, with face validity confirmed by expert review. The PAR approach engaged partners iteratively through planning–action–reflection cycles rather than one-way training. These findings indicate that the AI-based hands-on intervention produced a statistically significant and practically meaningful improvement in MSMEs’ digital marketing competence, enabling local processed seafood products to reach a broader market.

Abstract

Business legality is a critical prerequisite for micro-enterprises, particularly for Beginner Independent Workers (TKMP) who still face administrative and digital-literacy limitations. This community service program aimed to strengthen the capacity of TKMP-owned micro and small enterprises to obtain a Business Identification Number (NIB) through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system. The program was conducted in Lebak Regency, Banten Province, from 6 to 30 November 2025 and involved 15 participants receiving start-up capital assistance from the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, none of whom had previously held an NIB. The implementation used a door-to-door approach through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data were collected through direct observation, OSS process checklists, field-constraint notes, and verification of NIB issuance. The results show that all participants successfully obtained NIBs after socialization, technical assistance, and iterative follow-up. The main constraints included limited understanding of OSS, unstable internet signals, difficulties in selecting the appropriate business category or KBLI, and problems in drafting business descriptions. These findings indicate that personalized, adaptive, and contextual mentoring effectively bridges the gap between a digital licensing system and the actual capabilities of novice business actors. The findings highlight that a door-to-door mentoring model is highly relevant for expanding access to business legality in regions with limited digital infrastructure and administrative capacity.
