Abstract

Community service is carried out to solve problems faced by the community. One of the problems local chicken farmers face is the limited quality of feed resources. Therefore, community service was provided by training on making fermented feed made from local resources as feed for native chickens. This activity was carried out in the Manuk Amerta Group, Asahduren Village, Pekutatan District, Jembrana-Bali.This activity was organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Animal Husbandry UNSRAT Manado. Training activities run well and are helpful in realizing feed independence by utilizing local potential agricultural waste. Mentoring activities are still needed for program sustainability. Fermented feed has better nutritional value and is preferred by livestock to increase livestock production.

Abstract

Cultivating tilapia in round ponds with the biofloc system which has the advantage that tarpaulin ponds are easy to make, and the pond temperature is more stable than cement ponds. The methods that will be carried out in the implementation of this training are interviews, face-to-face, counseling and direct practice. The advantage of tarpaulin pools is that they are efficient in using water because we only need to fill in water at the beginning and the addition of water is also adjusted according to conditions.  The application of Biofloc technology in Pancasari Village can increase tilapia production. The biofloc system can also increase the Survival Rate (SR) of fish and reduce the Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR).

Abstract

The community service carried out in Sanur Kauh Village, Denpasar-Bali aims to increase the knowledge and skills of village youth in managing household waste and utilizing it in eco-enzymes. Youth involvement in waste sorting at the household level is still low, the evidence being that only 7% of youth are regularly involved in waste sorting. The youth argued that waste management in the household was already carried out by parents. 2 young people had attended eco-making training but had never put it into practice because they had only attended the training once. Eco-enzyme production from fruit and vegetable waste, apart from being able to reduce the volume of waste, also produces products of economic value. One of the eco-enzymes can be used as an air freshener.
