Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (JPKM) Kebangsaan is a scientific journal that focuses on community service activities (PkM). JPKM Kebangsaan publishes the results of community service conducted collaboratively, whether within a single discipline or across multiple disciplines. In other words, the manuscript does not only emphasize one discipline but all disciplines with community service activities that have been carried out. To accommodate publication interests, JPKM Kebangsaan is published twice a year in April and October.

Abstract

Desa digital mengintegrasikan teknologi digital ke dalam kehidupan masyarakat desa untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup, meningkatkan efisiensi, dan meningkatkan daya saing. Perkembangan teknologi digital semakin dirasakan manfaatnya dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk di pedesaan. Salah satu permasalahan yang cukup sering ditemui di Desa Gudang, Kecamatan Tanjungsari, Kabupaten Sumedang adalah kesulitan kurir dan tamu dalam mencari alamat rumah warga karena belum adanya sistem penomoran rumah yang tertata dengan baik. Melalui program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN), mahasiswa mencoba memberikan solusi dengan mengembangkan Si PANDAI (Sistem Pencarian Alamat Digital). Aplikasi ini berbasis data nomor rumah warga dan dirancang untuk memudahkan pencarian lokasi secara cepat dan akurat. Artikel ini menceritakan proses penerapan aplikasi tersebut, hasil yang diperoleh, serta dampak yang dirasakan masyarakat. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa Si PANDAI membantu mempercepat proses pencarian alamat, meningkatkan kenyamanan layanan kurir, sekaligus mendorong Desa Gudang menuju desa digital yang adaptif dan berdaya saing.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to introduce high school students to the concept of physics olympiads as an effort to foster motivation and interest in scientific competition. The activity, titled “Targeting Physics Achievement: Pre-Olympiad Initiation for a Generation of Champions,” was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Padalarang, West Bandung Regency, involving 50 students from the science track of grade XI. The implementation employed a participatory and interactive approach through academic lectures, guided problem-solving sessions, and group discussions facilitated by lecturers and students from the Physics Department of UKRI. Evaluation was carried out using a diagnostic pre-test and reflective questionnaire to identify participants’ initial understanding and perceptions of the activity. The results indicated that students gained new insights into the structure and scope of the physics olympiad and demonstrated increased enthusiasm and self-confidence to join future scientific competitions. The program also strengthened collaboration between UKRI and SMA Negeri 2 Padalarang through the signing of an Implementation of Arrangement (IA) for a follow-up physics olympiad mentoring program during the 2025/2026 academic year.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted in Sukajaya Village, Malangbong District, Garut Regency, aiming to enhance farmers’ technological literacy through the implementation of a smart irrigation system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The main problem faced by the community is the inefficiency in water use and manual irrigation management. The program employed a Participatory Action Learning (PAL) approach, engaging local farmers in hands-on learning and technology application. The activities consisted of seminars, training sessions, and live demonstrations of an automatic irrigation system integrating soil moisture sensors and IoT modules to regulate watering automatically. Evaluation results indicated a 68% increase in participants’ understanding of smart system concepts and their applications in agriculture. Participants also showed strong enthusiasm to develop similar systems in their own fields. This program demonstrates that participatory-based education effectively bridges the technological gap between universities and rural communities, serving as an initial step toward the adoption of sustainable precision agriculture.

Abstract

Attention to national values ​​and insight has almost disappeared among the majority of residents of Gudangkahuripan village, Lembang District, West Bandung Regency (KBB). In their daily lives, residents are more focused on meeting daily consumption needs than increasing and honing their knowledge of national insight. The only knowledge they ever acquired about national insight was during elementary and secondary school. After graduating, some continued on to college, while most focused on finding work. From that point on, they were almost no longer connected to national symbols and terms. Likewise, refresher courses on national values ​​and insight in the form of seminars, meetings, or discussions were almost never received. Starting from this condition, Community Service (PkM) lecturers and students of the Communication Science Study Program (Prodi Ilkom) of the National University of the Republic of Indonesia (UKRI) were directed to revitalize knowledge of national insight among the residents of Gudang Kahuripan village. The approach used was a lecture method by communicating the elements, components, mission and vision, and goals of nationality. PkM succeeded in raising awareness and interest among Gudangkahuripan villagers to trace the essence and identity as citizens of the nation. Awareness also occurs regarding the position of citizens as part of the digital world cycle.

Abstract

Verbal bullying remains a significant issue among madrasah adolescents despite their religious educational environment, indicating insufficient internalization of Qur’anic ethical values in daily social behavior. This community service program aimed to prevent bullying through thematic memorization assistance of Surah Al-Hujurat verse 11 integrated into the Qur’anic tahfidz program at Madrasah Aliyah Miftahul Anwar, Garut. The implementation employed educational, da’wah-based, and participatory approaches through guided memorization, verse interpretation, tasmi’ activities, anti-bullying seminars, and parental reinforcement via women’s religious study groups. The results demonstrated improved understanding of Islamic social ethics, more respectful communication patterns among students, and increased collective awareness to reject bullying practices. The program confirms that thematic tahfidz integrated with contemporary social issues is effective in strengthening adolescent character education and enhancing collaboration between schools and families.

Abstract

Wayang Uwuh Yogyakarta MSME is a creative business that transforms waste into art while campaigning for environmental awareness. However, the partner faces challenges regarding limited human resources skilled in digital marketing. The goal of this community service is to increase HR capacity through digital marketing training to enhance competitiveness and income. The method includes needs identification through surveys and interviews, material design, training implementation (presentations, discussions, hands-on practice), evaluation, and mentoring. Results show significant improvements in participants' knowledge (80%), technical skills (70%), and confidence in digital business (90%). Nevertheless, challenges such as time and resource constraints remain concerns for future mentoring programs.

Abstract

The community service program in Situheyang Village, Sumedang Regency, was initiated due to suboptimal land utilization and limited community knowledge of high-value crops such as vanilla. This program aims to improve local skills in vanilla cultivation and encourage productive land use to increase community income. The methods used include socialization and hands-on training. The results show improved understanding and skills, indicated by successful vanilla seedling planting on residents’ farmland and growing interest in developing vanilla as a leading commodity. Additionally, community groups focused on sustainable cultivation have emerged, although further assistance is still needed for more optimal outcomes. Keywords: Vanilla, Land, Village, Situhiyang

Abstract

This research was based on the Community Service Program activities in the program of Everyday English based on CLT held in the Saung Angkung Udjo tourist area. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of the program by observing the effectiveness of the CLT approach applied in order to improve the English communication skills of child performers. This study involved 30 performers aged 8–15 years who are active in angklung and Sundanese cultural arts performances. Observations and interviews were applied to gather data and information that support this research. The results of the activity showed that participants already have the basics of English, but still experience limitations in using the language communicatively. The results of the observation showed that after participating in the training, the performers showed better English skills and were more confident in conveying vocabulary in English to tourists. Thus, the Everyday English program based on CLT can be an applicable learning model in improving English communication competency in the context of cultural tourism in terms of improving the quality of interaction between artists and tourists. Abstract

 The digital space can be utilized for various purposes. For empowerment goals, it can be used to enhance capabilities, improve quality, or boost community competencies. The same applies to business actors. The great benefits of the digital space are accessible to all without discrimination based on business scale or level—from conglomerate-class businesses, MSME-scale enterprises, to micro-level individual ventures, all have equal opportunities to leverage the digital space. Problems with digital tool usage arise when micro-level individual business actors remain unaware of the digital space's benefits. This is the background for the Community Service (PkM) activities conducted by lecturers and students from the Communication Science program at the National Republic of Indonesia University (Ilkom UKRI) in Madalajati Subdistrict, Bandung City. The PkM aims to provide knowledge and enhance skills for micro-sector business actors in accessibility and trading activities transformed into digital networks. To achieve this, the method used is lectures based on specific themes related to basic digital tool usage skills. PkM results show that residents' knowledge improved after receiving in-depth, comprehensive explanations on digitalization, and even commitments emerged to link their trading activities by first accessing digital networks

Abstract

The business climate has improved significantly since the COVID-19 pandemic. Community-based businesses, including MSMEs, both in urban and rural areas, have grown significantly. The Indonesian government has also devoted significant attention to MSMEs by establishing a Ministry of MSMEs at the central level and relevant MSME agencies at the provincial and district/city levels. The development of MSMEs in Garut Regency and Malangbong District has been met with great enthusiasm by the community. Traditional Garut MSME products, already in thriving form, are now expanding with improved styles, flavors, and attractive packaging. Furthermore, their quality has also improved. This improvement in quality also opens up opportunities for increased marketing of these products.
