Abstract

Pekerjaan pengangkatan (lifting) merupakan salah satu pekerjaan dengan katagori risiko tinggi (high risk job). Gagalnya pengangkatan beban, rusaknya alat peralatan, rusaknya material yang diangkat, dan kerusakan lingkungan kerja disekitarnya, serta cidera atau bahkan terjadinya kematian adalah bagian dari rangkaian bahaya yang mungkin saja terjadi saat proses pekerjaan pengangkatan dengan melibatkan pesawat angkat (mobile crane) dan peralatan angkat (lifting gear). Fokus penelitian ini adalah salah satu upaya untuk menemukan jawaban penyebab atas terjadinya kegagalan proses pengangkatan yang berakibat pada kecelakaan kerja pada proses pekerjaan pengangkatan di lingkungan pekerjaan. Diharapan hasil penelitian ini nantinya dapat menjadi pedoman atau rujukan untuk melaksanakan proses pekerjaan pengangkatan dengan baik, lancar, aman dan selamat. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa ada tiga faktor yang menciptakan peluang terjadinya kecelakaan kerja khususnya pada pekerjaan pengangkatan dengan melibatkan pesawat angkat (mobile crane) yaitu (a) Faktor manusia; (b) Faktor Alat, Peralatan, dan Lingkungan Kerja; dan (c) Faktor Sistem Manajemen dan Budaya Perusahaan. Meskipun diperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut, faktor manusia memegang peranan penting dan dominan menciptakan peluang terjadinya kecelakaan kerja dan menghadirkan penyakit akibat kerja. Penguasaan ilmu pengetahun dasar seperti fisika dan matematika sangat diperlukan untuk memecahkan permasalahan khususnya pekerjaan pengangkatan yang melibatkan pesawat angkat. Disamping kepatuhan pekerja akan prosedur kerja, juga berperan penting dalam upaya menghindarkan kecelakaan kerja.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi di bidang transportasi dan peradaban yang menginginkan segala sesuatu serba cepat, sering menjadikan manusia khususnya anak-anak sebagai korban, termasuk korban kecelakaan lalu lintas. Sehubungan dengan keselamatan lalu lintas di jalan raya khususnya di lingkungan/kawasan Sekolah/Pendidikan, murid-murid diharapkan dapat datang dan pergi sekolah dalam keadaan selamat melalui pengembangan Program Zona Selamat Sekolah (ZoSS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas Zona Selamat Sekolah terhadap keselamatan penyeberang jalan di SD Kemala Bhayangkari Balikpapan. Metode yang digunakan mengacu pada Peraturan Direktur Jenderal Perhubungan Darat No: SK 3236/AJ 403/DRJD/2006 tentang Uji Coba Penerapan Zona Selamat Sekolah. Analisa data dilakukan dengan statistik distribusi normal (uji Z), dengan membandingkan nilai Zhitung dengan nilai Ztabel dengan tingkat kesalahan 5% untuk perilaku penyeberang dan kecepatan kendaraan. Zona Selamat Sekolah kurang memiliki pengaruh terhadap keselamatan penyeberang jalan di SD Kemala Bhayangkari Balikpapan. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil analisis data kecepatan kendaraan dan hasil analisis data perilaku penyebrang jalan yang menunjukkan bahwa penyeberang jalan di SD Kemala Bhayangkari Balikpapan belum selamat walaupun telah ada Zona Selamat Sekolah.

Abstract

Zona Selamat Sekolah (ZoSS) adalah lokasi/wilayah di ruas jalan tertentu yang merupakan zona kecepatan berbasis waktu untuk mengatur kecepatan kendaraan di lingkungan sekolah. Zona Selamat Sekolah (ZoSS) didesain untuk keperluan perlambatan kecepatan kendaraan yang melintasi diarea yang telah ditentukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat efektivitas penerapan program Zona Selamat Sekolah (ZoSS) yang sudah diterapkan di Kota Balikpapan saat ini. Metode yang digunakan mengacu pada Peraturan Direktur Jenderal Perhubungan Darat, Nomor : SK 3236/AJ 403/DRJD/2006 Tentang Uji Coba Penerapan Zona Selamat Sekolah di 11 (Sebelas) Kota Pulau Jawa. Analisa data dilakukan menggunakan statistik distribusi normal (uji Z), dengan membandingkan nilai Zhitung dengan nilai Ztabel dengan tingkat kesalahan 5% untuk perilaku penyeberang, perilaku pengantar dan kecepatan kendaraan. Sedangkan analisa volume lalu lintas mengacu pada Direktorat Bina Jalan Kota (1997) tentang Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia. Sampel diambil secara acak berdasarkan survei lapangan di sekolah yang sudah menerapkan program Zona Selamat Sekolah (ZoSS), yaitu SD Kemala Bhayangkari dan SD Kartika V-3. Sebagai pembandingnya adalah sekolah yang belum menerapkan program Zona Selamat Sekolah (ZoSS), yaitu SD Negeri 002 Balikpapan Tengah dan SD Negeri 006 Balikpapan Tengah. Data diambil pada jam sibuk, yaitu pukul 06.30-07.30 WITA. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penerapan program Zona Selamat Sekolah (ZoSS) di SD Kemala Bhayangkari dan SD Kartika V-3 sangat efektif dalam kategori “Perilaku penyeberang” dan “Perilaku pengantar”. Sementara dalam kategori “Kecepatan kendaraan” kecepatan pengendara yang melintas diarea ZoSS masih melewati batas kecepatan maksimum yang telah ditentukan.

Abstract

Sidewalks are made to provide convenience for pedestrians to be able to access public roads while also protecting from the dangers of passing vehicles (accidents). But now, most of the sidewalks have changed their main function. In some corners of the city of Balikpapan, we can see a lot of sidewalks that are used by informal traders as a place to open their sales. For this reason, pedestrians must go down to the shoulder of the road to walk. The aim of the researcher to achieve this research is to find out the territorial behaviour of informal traders towards pedestrian safety. The research methodology used is a qualitative descriptive methodology with the main goal of making a picture or description of an application objectively The results showed that the impact of this behaviour on pedestrian safety in the form of defective functions of the sidewalk on the road, where there is only one side of the sidewalk that can be used because it is not used to sell. So pedestrians also try to cross to use sidewalk facilities on the other side that are not used to sell traders who have the risk of conflict between pedestrians and vehicles at the crossing point.

Abstract

Process Safety is a branch of the science of safety that focuses on special accident control and characteristic of the process industry. Process Safety focuses on preventing the acute release of energy or substance in harmful quantities and limiting the magnitude and consequences of the discharge event. Process Safety can be achieved by reducing hazards and risks incurred at a wide acceptable level by the organization and / or society (Marshall and Ruhemann (IIPS), 2007). One such release is the Loss of Primary Containment (LOPC) which according to the American Petroleum Institute Recommended Practice (API RP) 754 is the release of flammable, toxic, corrosive, reactive, thermal, and pressure material from primary containment which includes: tanks, pressure vessels, pipes, trucks, rail cars, or equipment as primary containers or used for processing with the potential to cause damage. In the American Petroleum Institute Recommended Practice (API RP) 750 elements of Assuring The Quality and Mechanical Integrity of Critical Equipment that pressure vessels, machines and pipes shall be designed, manufactured, installed and maintained or inspected in accordance with required requirements. Abstract

Street sweepers in carrying out their work are very vulnerable to various risks, especially safety and health risks such as the risk of hearing loss due to noise, stress, dehydration, being hit by a vehicle, as well as health problems due to fatigue, bacteria, respiratory system disorders caused by inhaling dust and vehicle fumes. The purpose of the study was to determine the dangers and conduct an assessment of the safety and health risks of workers and to find out the control efforts that have been made to road sweepers. The research methodology used is descriptive qualitative. In conducting risk identification and assessment using the Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) standard AS/NZS 4360 method. The total risk level is 27 categories with details of 7 (seven) Low risk levels, 15 (fifteen) Medium risk levels, and 5 (five) levels of High risk. After controlling for each existing risk using the OHSAS 18001 guidelines, namely elimination, substitution, engineering control, administration, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). After the risk is handled with the hierarchy of control, the assessment is carried out again on the remaining risks of control with the results of the study on 27 risks down to 22 low risks and 5 medium risks. Abstract

Good raw and clean raw material storage and good recording from restaurant workers is a standard of the Indonesian health minister's regulation on food hygiene and sanitation services. This research is a combination of qualitative and quantitative research. The number of samples in this study as much as 2 samples. Sampling of this sample data through interviews and observation. Data analysis is used to calculate the percentage of observations. The results of this study show that 80% of the standard food management in Permenkes RI No.1096 / Menkes / per / VI / 2011. And other results from this research is showing 20% ​​where the management of raw material storage in the restaurant is not in accordance with Permenkes. Abstract

Obedience is like obeying orders, obeying orders or rules. Meanwhile, compliance is behavior according to the rules and discipline. The work of operators in the production department is a job that requires expertise, creativity and high concentration in doing work because the workplace is exposed to a lot of dust and chemicals, besides that personal protective equipment (PPE) is an important component in reducing exposure to dust and chemicals. to operator workers. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors related to operator worker compliance in the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This study uses the observation method and the interview method with a Cross Sectional approach which is carried out with the Chi-Square test. The subject of this research is the total sampling that is in the production section as many as 25 respondents. Based on the Chi-Square statistical test, it was found that attitudes and supervision had p-value <0.05, while the level of knowledge and condition of PPE had p=value> 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between attitudes and supervision in the use of PPE with worker compliance in the use of PPE, while the variable level of knowledge and condition of PPE did not find a significant relationship with worker compliance in the use of PPE. Abstract

Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) is a method for determining and assigning hazards based on their probability, frequency and severity and evaluating their adverse consequences, including potential loss and injury. Work processes in industry must pay a lot of attention to environmental health and safety aspects in order to support industrial effectiveness. The industry must identify the hazard, assess its associated risks to tolerate a sustainable level, the risk assessment has been made using risk guidelines and standards. Control efforts must be systematic and comprehensive in a management that is integrated into the occupational safety and health program. In accordance with Government Regulation no. 50 of 2012 concerning the Occupational Health and Safety Management System article 11 which requires hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control to meet K3 requirements. CV Borneo Asri Rekatama Balikpapan is a company engaged in the distribution of clean water for PT HER housing in Balikpapan city where the hazards in the work environment of the clean water treatment area are in the form of physical hazards, biological hazards, chemical hazards, ergonomic hazards, and psychosocial hazards. The approach used is a qualitative research method. Data collection uses field research methods, interviews and observations, where the data is obtained by describing a list of questions that are quite detailed and complete about the object studied to the respondents. The results and discussion of the research, namely, in the process of operating the WTP is an activity that has a high risk and from the operational process activities of the WTP there are 8 risks that arise based on ISO 31000. After conducting an assessment, it is found that out of the 8 risks that appear 6 risks with a high risk level, 2 risk with a medium risk level of risk. After the risk has been handled with the OHSAS 18001 hierarchy of control, an assessment is carried out again on the remaining risks from control with the results of research on 8 risks down to 6 risks with a medium risk level and 2 risks with a low risk level.
