Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Seven Habits of Great Indonesian Children (7KAIH)program in madrasahs across East Kalimantan by examining four key dimensions: political, economic, social, and cultural. The program is designed to cultivate students’ superior character, independence, and social awareness, aligning with Indonesia’s human resource development agenda to enhance global competitiveness. The research employed a quantitative-descriptive evaluative approach using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model. Data were collected from teachers, principals, and parents in five madrasahs: MIN 1 Samarinda, MIN 2 Balikpapan, MTsN 1 Tenggarong, MAN 2 Bontang, and MAN IC Paser. The findings indicate that the overall implementation level of the program falls under the “good” category, with an average score of 83.6%. The social and cultural dimensions achieved the highest score (86.4%), followed by the economic (82.7%) and political (81.8%) dimensions. Policy implications emphasize strengthening the role of madrasahs as agents of national character formation, integrating character education into regional policies, and providing sustained economic and social support to ensure long-term program implementation.

Abstract

Usaha  mikro  tergolong  jenis  usaha  marjinal,  yang karena penggunaan teknologi yang relatif sederhana, Tingkat modal yang rendah, akses terhadap kredit yang rendah, serta cenderung berorientasi pada pasar lokal. Oleh karena itu, harus  selalu   diupayakan   strategi   yang   tepat   untuk   memberdayakan   UMKM   agar kesejahteraan  masyarakat  semakin  terangkat terutama di Desa Ciampea Udik Bogor. Berbagai  peran  strategis  dimiliki sektor UMKM, namun sektor ini juga dihadapkan berbagai   permasalahan. Kendala   dan   permasalahan   antara   lain   dari   aspek   permodalan,   kemampuan manajemen  usaha  dan  kualitas  sumberdaya  manusia  pengelolanya.  Kendala  dan permasalahan  usaha  kecil  dan  informal  lainnya  juga  disebabkan  karena  sulitnya akses  terhadap  informasi  dan  sumberdaya  produktif  seperti  modal  dan teknologi, yang berakibat menjadi terbatasnya kemampuan usaha kecil untuk berkembang. Untuk menggalang partisipasi masyarakat yang sekaligus memberdayakan mereka dalam proses pembangunan, sangat penting dilakukan upaya serta mengkondisikan terjadinya dialog atau hubungan komunikasi dua arah antara masyarakat dan pemerintah, antara berbagai pihak dalam masyarakat dan pemerintah dalam berbagai tingkatan. Hal tersebut perlu dilakukan secara terus menerus dan berkelanjutan selama proses pembangunan berlangsung. Sehingga nantinya akan terjadi penyadaran atau saling pengertian dan persepsi yang sama antara berbagai pihak yang terlibat dalam pembangunan. Penyadaran tersebut berkenaan dengan apa, mengapa dan bagaimana pembangunan seharusnya dilakukan untuk kesejahteraan bersama menuju masyarakat madani yang dicita-citakan. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini metode yang kita ambil adalah dengan melibatkan banyak pihak selain dari masyarakat sekitar yang mengelola usaha dan pihak Karang Taruna di Desa Ciampea Udik Kecamatan Ciampea Kabupaten Bogor Jawa Barat. Kegiatan pengabdian melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan dilakukan di Balai Desa Ciampea Udik, dengan adanya kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan kebermanfaatannya besar sekali untuk masyarakat di lingkungan tersebut

Abstract

This study aims to analyze financial management at SMK Negeri 1 Anggana to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability of financial governance based on Good Financial Governance (GFG). The study used a descriptive qualitative approach using interviews, observations, and documentation studies, as well as analysis of the Miles and Huberman interactive model.The results indicate that school financial management adheres to the RKAS guidelines, but remains administrative in nature and is not based on real needs. Transparency and accountability are suboptimal due to limited public access and management capabilities. The implementation of the e-RKAS digital system is hampered by infrastructure and financial literacy. Key factors influencing financial effectiveness include leadership, human resource competency, and regional policy support.This study emphasizes the importance of implementing GFG in vocational education and recommends strengthening financial governance based on transparency, participation, and digitalization as a step towards financial independence in vocational schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of educational support staff in improving the quality of administrative services for students during the period 2020–2025, a time when schools experienced significant changes due to educational digitalization and the post-pandemic transition. Educational support staff hold a strategic function in ensuring the smooth delivery of administrative services such as student data management, new student admissions processes, academic information services, document archiving, and the facilitation of students’ learning needs. High-quality administrative services have a direct impact on the effectiveness of the learning process and the overall student experience at school. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis to describe how educational support staff provide services that are fast, accurate, and responsive. The findings indicate that the role of support staff has strengthened through the use of information technology, which streamlines service workflows, although challenges remain in digital literacy, limited facilities, and uneven workload distribution. This study highlights the importance of enhancing staff competencies, strengthening digital-based administrative management systems, and ensuring policy support from schools to create more effective and higher-quality services for students.

Abstract

Tropical rainforest regions, exemplified by the island of Borneo and the Indonesian province of East Kalimantan, sit at the intersection of accelerating environmental change and rapid economic transformation. Between 1973 and 2010, Borneo lost roughly 30% of its 1973 forest cover, and national monitoring data indicate that Indonesian deforestation surged again in 2025, reversing several years of decline. Higher education institutions (HEIs) are increasingly recognised as pivotal actors in reconciling ecological protection with development, through their three-fold mandate of education, research, and community service. This article examines how HEIs situated in and around tropical rainforest regions, using East Kalimantan as an illustrative case, contribute to sustainable development through curriculum integration, applied research on forest and community systems, and structured community engagement that incorporates indigenous ecological knowledge. Drawing on an integrative review of peer-reviewed literature, institutional reports, and policy documentation, the article synthesises the mechanisms, opportunities, and constraints that shape the sustainability contribution of HEIs in this setting, with particular attention to the pressures and opportunities created by the relocation of Indonesia's national capital (Ibu Kota Nusantara, IKN) to East Kalimantan. The findings indicate that HEIs contribute most effectively to sustainable development when the three pillars of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi are deliberately integrated rather than pursued separately, and when community-engagement programmes are co-designed with local and indigenous communities rather than delivered to them. The article concludes with practical recommendations for strengthening the sustainability role of HEIs operating in tropical rainforest regions
