Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies of Islamic religious education in addressing the challenges of multiculturalism in Suro Lembak Village, Kepahiang Regency, focusing on how Islamic education fosters harmony among religious communities amidst cultural and religious diversity. Using a qualitative approach and library research methods, the data sources include books and journals related to Islamic education and multiculturalism. Descriptive analysis was employed to identify relationships between categories and derive relevant theories. The main findings reveal that Islamic religious education in Suro Lembak Village is implemented through formal and non-formal educational institutions, religious outreach (dakwah), and collaborative interfaith activities. Institutions such as madrasas and Quranic learning centers (TPA) teach Islamic values that promote tolerance and respect for differences, while dakwah emphasizes the importance of coexistence and interfaith dialogue to strengthen social harmony. Collaborative activities between religious groups have also successfully enhanced community solidarity. Despite the effectiveness of these strategies, the study notes several limitations, such as a lack of educators with expertise in multiculturalism, insufficient local policy support, and limited societal perceptions of diversity. The study suggests that teacher training, the development of contextually relevant teaching materials, and local government policy support are essential to strengthening multicultural education in the village.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi dinamika multikulturalisme di Indonesia melalui pendekatan sosiologis integratif yang menggabungkan perspektif akademis dengan prinsip-prinsip normatif Islam. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan studi pustaka kualitatif komprehensif, melakukan pencarian sistematis di berbagai basis data akademik dengan kriteria inklusi publikasi ilmiah antara 2003-2023, dan menerapkan teknik analisis konten kualitatif melalui pengkodean tematik, analisis komparatif, dan triangulasi teoritis. Hasil penelitian mengungkap kompleksitas identitas budaya Indonesia sebagai proses dinamis dan transformatif, di mana individu dan komunitas aktif merekonstruksi identitas melalui negosiasi budaya yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian mengidentifikasi empat dimensi kunci: pembentukan identitas budaya yang cair, pluralitas agama sebagai mekanisme mediasi, kerangka kelembagaan dalam manajemen multikultural, serta peran teknologi digital dalam mentransformasi interaksi lintas budaya. Studi ini menawarkan perspektif teoritis inovatif yang memandang keragaman budaya sebagai proses sosial konstruktif dan dinamis.

Abstract

The phenomenon of regional head elections (Pilkada) with a single candidate creates tension between the principles of democracy and the concept of siyasah syar'iyyah in Islamic politics. This study aims to analyze the implications of a single candidate in the Regional Elections from the perspective of siyasah syar'iyyah, especially in relation to the principles of justice, deliberation (shura), and the benefit of the people. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature approach to examine the views of scholars and regulations that govern the single-candidate Regional Elections. The results of the study show that this phenomenon occurs due to the dominance of political power, high political costs, and strict candidacy requirements, which lead to limited political competition. In Islam, leaders must be chosen through a fair and transparent process, but in an emergency, a pragmatic approach allows for a single candidate for the sake of government stability. Instead, the idealistic approach emphasizes the importance of healthy deliberation and competition. Therefore, siyasah syar'iyyah offers solutions in the form of increasing political participation, reducing administrative obstacles, and guaranteeing transparency in the election process. In conclusion, single-candidate regional elections can be accepted under certain circumstances, but must still pay attention to the principles of democracy and justice so as not to conflict with the values of siyasah syar'iyyah.

Abstract

Purpose – Hidayatullah Boarding School in Bengkulu integrates multicultural Islamic education to address globalization challenges and preserve local culture. This study examines the incorporation of multicultural values into its curriculum and their impact on local traditions.Method – This qualitative case study involves school leaders, teachers, students, and community figures, selected for their roles in implementing multicultural education. The selection process aimed for diverse representation, though further refinement could provide a more comprehensive understanding. Findings – The school combines Islamic teachings with local traditions, such as regional dance, handicrafts, and the Tabot festival, to promote cultural awareness. While students actively engage in cultural activities, the study’s limitations include focusing on one institution and a small sample size. Future research should include multiple schools and use mixed methods for broader applicability. Research Implications – The integration of multicultural values through local cultural practices strengthens students' connection to their heritage, fostering inclusivity and tolerance. The study promotes respect for cultural diversity and appreciation for local traditions amidst globalizations.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out whether or not there was a significant difference between students who were taught using picture and picture strategy and that of those who were not in writing recount text. The study employed a quasi-experimental study. The population in this study were the second grade students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Bengkulu city, Indonesia with a total number are 89 students. Out of this population, 60 students were taken as the sample. They are divided into two groups; experiement and control group, which consisted of 30 students for each group. The data were collected by using writing test. The data obtained were analyzed by using t- test formula. The data were found that the result of t-count post-test (6.34) was higher than t- table (2.00) with α = 5 % and df= 58. The finding of this research shows that there is a significant difference between students in Madrasah Tsanawiyah who are taught using picture and picture strategy and that of those who are not. Based on the result on the study, picture and picture strategy can improve students’ writing achievement in writing recount text evidently. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan strategi gambar dan gambar dan siswa yang tidak dalam menulis teks pengalaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi quasi-eksperimental. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah para siswa kelas dua Madrasah Tsanawiyah di kota Bengkulu, Indonesia dengan jumlah total 89 siswa. Dari populasi ini, 60 siswa diambil sebagai sampel. Mereka dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: grup eksperimen dan kontrol , yang terdiri dari 30 siswa untuk setiap kelompok. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes menulis. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus t-test. Data yang telah dihasilkan yaitu hasil dari t-hitung dari tes akhir (6,34) lebih tinggi dibandingkan t-tabel (2,00) dengan α = 5 % dan df= 58. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa di Madrasah Tsanawiyah yang diajar menggunakan strategi picture and picture dengan mereka yang tidak. Berdasarkan hasil pada penelitian, strategi picture and picture secara jelas dapat meningkatkan hasil pencapaian para siswa dalam menulis teks pengalaman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan hasil hafalan Al-Qur’an siswa yang menggunakan metode Takrir dengan metode Kitabah di kelas IV MIN 02 Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelompok yaitu kelas IV D yang mengikuti ekstrakulikuler Tahfizh berjumlah 25 orang sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas IV E yang mengikuti ekstrakulikuler Tahfizh berjumlah 25 orang sebagai kelompok kontrol. Variabel penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel bebas yaitu metode Takrir dan metode Kitabah sedangkan variabel terikat yaitu hasil hafalan Al-Qur’an. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes soal pilihan ganda yang terdiri dari pretest dan postest. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil hafalan Al- Qur’an siswa yang menggunakan metode Takrir dengan metode Kitabah di MIN 02 Kota Bengkulu. Dapat dibuktikan juga dengan hasil perhitungan Uji t yaitu thitung sebesar 2,355 dan nilai ttabel untuk df= 48 dengan taraf signifkan 5% adalah 1,677. Dari analisis tersebut diperoleh bahwa thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (2,355 > 1,677). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil hafalan Al-Qur’an siswa yang menggunakan metode Takrir dengan metode Kitabah di kelas IV MIN 02 Kota Bengkulu.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the readiness of teachers in the era of independent learning and the obstacles faced by teachers in preparing learning in terms of the TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) component at SDN 20 Bengkulu City. This study is a qualitative descriptive study, data collection techniques using observation, interview and documentation methods. In this study, the subjects/informants were teachers and students in grades I, II, IV and V who had implemented the independent learning curriculum. The results of this study are that the readiness of teachers in grades I, II, IV and V in the era of independent learning in terms of the TPACK component at SDN 20 Bengkulu City has been running well, teachers understand the concepts, strategies and learning models according to the TPACK components. Teachers are also able to adapt the TPACK learning concept and model to the independent learning curriculum, but the availability of computers, projectors and wifi is still very minimal so that it becomes an obstacle for teachers in maximizing the process of integrating technology in the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan ada atau tidaknya pengaruh kompetensi guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa, pengaruh fasilitas belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa dan pengaruh kompetensi guru dan fasilitas belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas tinggi yaitu kelas 4 dan 5 MI Al-Ba’ani Kota Bengkulu. Sampel dilakukan dengan metode sampel jenuh. Pengumpulan data ini dilakukan dengan kuesioner yang disebarkan langsung kepada responden sebanyak 33 Responden. Metode statistik menggunakan analisis Regresi Linear Berganda, dengan pengujian hipotesis uji statistik t dan uji statistik F. hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi pedagogik guru berpengaruh pada variabel Y prestasi belajar yaitu dengan membandingkan nilai signifikan = 0,05 dengan nilai sig pada tabel coefficents pada variabel kompetensi guru (X1) yaitu sebesar 0,008, artinya 0,008 < 0,05 menunjukkan ada pengaruh antara variabel X1 terhadap variabel Y. Begitu juga pada hasil perhitungan yang telah dilakukan pada variabel fasilitas belajar (X2) yaitu, ada pengaruh variabel fasilitas belajar siswa terhadap variabel prestasi siswa kelas tinggi di MI Al-Ba’ani Kota Bengkulu, ini dapat diketahui dengan membandingkan nilai signifikan = 0,05 dengan nilai sig pada tabel coefficents pada variabel fasilitas belajar siswa (X2) yaitu sebesar 0,041, artinya 0,041 < 0,05 menunjukkan ada pengaruh antara fasilitas belajar terhadap variabel Y. Kemudian hasil perhitungan kedua variabel yaitu kompetensi guru dan fasilitas belajar siswa terhadap variabel prestasi belajar siswa kelas tinggi di MI Al-Ba’ani Kota Bengkulu dengan melihat nilai rapor siswa, ini dapat diketahui dengan membandingkan nilai signifikan = 0,05 dengan nilai sig pada tabel Anova (F) pada variabel kompetensi guru (X1) dan variabel fasilitas belajar siswa (X2) sebesar 0,000, artinya 0,000 < 0,05 menunjukkan ada pengaruh antara variabel X1 dan variabel X2 terhadap variabel Y.

Abstract

Minimnya penggunaan media pembelajaran yang kreatif serta metode yang efisien dalam pembelajaran IPA, terutama pada materi lima kingdom. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa SMPN 24 Kota Bengkulu melalui media animasi lima kingdom serta untuk mengevaluasi respons siswa terhadap penggunaan media animasi selama proses pembelajaran di SMPN 24 Kota Bengkulu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Quasi Experimental Design. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai siswa kelas VII yang menggunakan video animasi lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang belajar melalui metode ceramah. Selain itu, dari perhitungan uji-t (Independent Samples Test) dengan tingkat signifikansi 5%, diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dengan nilai thitung 4,866 > ttabel 1,682. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan video animasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions in the midst of society that are at the forefront of launching character education for students, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic. This research on character education was conducted at the Makrifatul Ilmi Islamic boarding school, South Bengkulu with the aim of knowing the values instilled in students in the formation of their character as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors. The method used in this research is descriptive content analysis with the type of field research. Thus, the results of the study indicate that the implementation of character education during the pandemic at the Makrifatul Ilmi Islamic Boarding School South Bengkulu is carried out in the classroom and outside the classroom, which includes the cultivation of religious values, independence, humility, honesty, respect for achievement, love for the environment, social care, creative, likes to read, tolerance, responsibility, discipline, cooperation, hard work, and creativity. To realize these character values, the example of educators is very decisive. Therefore, educators are expected to be able to improve their functions in terms of educating, guiding, directing, training, and motivating so that students are accustomed to behaving with good character values.
