Abstract

Diabetes  Melitus  (DM)  merupakan  masalah kesehatan utama di Indonesia, yang  berhubungan  dengan sindrom metobolik meningkatnya kadar glukosa darah atau hiperglikemi, akibat gangguan sekresi, kerja insulin, atau oleh keduanya. Dampak buruk DM sangat rentan terhadap gangguan fungsi pada berbagai organ vital seperti mata, ginjal, saraf, jantung dan pembuluh darah, serta mudah terserang penyakit infeksi, terutama pada usia lanjut usia (lansia). Pengguanaan obat anti diabetik oral (OAO) merupakan pilihan utama untuk terapi DM tipe-2 yang harus dipastikan  keamanan dan efektivitas kerjanya, terutama pada penderita DM tipe-2 lansia, sehingga edukasi penggunaan OAO penting dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman, khususnya bagi lansia pengidap DM tipe-2 di Kecamatan Baruga, kota Kendari. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan cara penggunaan obat anti diabetik oral bagi penderita DM lansia. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pemberian informasi metode ceramah dengan menggunakan media Power Point, pemberian brosur/leaflet dan edukasi khusus OAO yang benar  oleh  tim narasumber. Hasil kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan  bagi penderita DM tipe-2 lansia  tentang penggunaan OAO yang tepat, dan memberikan pemahaman perilaku hidup sehat untuk mencegah komplikasi penyakit DM.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the mathematical representation of ninth grade students of Hidayatullah Palu Integral Junior High School in solving circle problems in terms of self-efficacy. This research method is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection is done by self efficacy questionnaire, written test, interview and documentation. Data validity uses member check, extended observation, and dependability. The results of this study indicate that subjects with high self efficacy can use all indicators of mathematical representation optimally, able to express their mathematical ideas in three representations namely visual representation, symbolic representation and verbal representation to solve problems from a problem. Students with moderate self efficacy can use all indicators of mathematical representation but not maximally. students with low self efficacy have not maximally fulfilled the indicators of visual mathematical representation ability and have not been able to fulfill the indicators of symbolic representation and verbal representation. Conclusion, students with high self efficacy have high representation skills, students with moderate self efficacy have moderate representation skills, and students with moderate self efficacy have moderate representation skills. with moderate self efficacy have moderate representation skills, and students with low self efficacy have high representation skills. students with low self efficacy have low representation ability. low. Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of fig leaf extract (Ficus Carica L.) on increasing blood glucose levels in mice (Mus Musculus). The type of research is experimental research (true-experimental). The method used in this research is an observational method where direct observations are carried out on laboratory animals to obtain information on the effectiveness of fig leaf extract (Ficus Carica L.) on alloxan-induced increases in blood sugar in mice (Mus Musculus). The results of this study found that fig leaf extract (Ficus carica L.) was effective in reducing blood glucose levels in mice induced by alloxan, showing potential as an alternative therapy for managing diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi kegiatan ekstrakurikuler silat dalam melatih keterampilan psikomotorik kasar pada peserta didik di SDN 76 Kota Bengkulu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ekstrakurikuler silat dapat meningkatkan keterampilan psikomotorik kasar peserta didik, seperti keseimbangan, koordinasi gerak, kekuatan otot, dan fleksibilitas. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga memberikan dampak positif terhadap disiplin dan kepercayaan diri peserta didik. Implementasi kegiatan ini didukung oleh ketersediaan fasilitas, kompetensi pelatih, serta partisipasi aktif peserta didik. Namun, terdapat kendala dalam hal keterbatasan waktu latihan dan kurangnya dukungan dari orang tua. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler silat efektif dalam melatih keterampilan psikomotorik kasar dan perlu dukungan lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan efektivitasnya.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the performance of daily non-permanent employees of the Education and Culture Office of Enrekang Regency. The number of informants in this study were 8 people. This study used a qualitative type with a phenomenological research l that emphasized the subjectivity of human life experiences. Data collection techniques using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. This study used triangulation of time sources and techniques to check the validity of the data. The data analysis used the component of reduction, data presentation, and conclusion . The data collection technique used the interview observation method and documentation. The results showed that the performance of daily non-permanent employees at the Education and Culture Office of Enrekang Regency which had not all indicators applied All indicators namely Productivity, Service Quality, Responsiveness and Responsibility even though it had been running according to the existing SOP in the office but there were still complaints of service by the community, especially l the teacher who had an interest in its services and its completion as well as office infrastructure.Keywords: Performance, Productivity, Responsiveness, Employees

Abstract

The existence of an optimal immune system for humans is very important to fight infectious diseases that enter the body, which is called body immunity. Weak immunity affects the ability to fight various disease pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, functions, protozoa, and parasites that cause immunodeficiency conditions. Weak immune system function can be improved by administering immunomodulatory agents with immunostimulatory action. One of the plants with potential as an immunomodulator is galing (Cayratia trifolia L.). based on empirical studies and scientific studies of its biology and chemical content. This review aims to provide information on scientific data on various pharmacological activities of galing plants that support development as potential immunomodulatory agents in immunodeficiency diseases. In this review, primary data was collected online, in the form of national and international journals. The results of studies obtained from several journals and other sources can reveal the immunomodulatory potential of galing with flavonoids that have the ability to improve the immune system and alkaloid compounds that are immunostimulating, so they have the potential to be developed as natural immunomodulatory agents.

Abstract

Kidney failure is a disorder of kidney excretion that decreases kidney function due to the inability of the kidneys to transport the body's metabolic waste. One of the kidney damages that we often encounter is chronic kidney failure. The main therapy for treating kidney failure patients is hemodialysis. One of the impacts that hemodialysis patients often feel is fatigue and visible signs when patients experience fatigue are peripheral edema. The purpose of this study is to describe the fatigue and edema complaints in chronic kidney failure patients who undergoing hemodialysis therapy at Hasanuddin University Hospital and Dr. Tadjuddin Chalid Hospital Makassar. This study employs quantitative research using descriptive-analytical methods with a cross-sectional approach. This study used the FACIT Fatigue Scale questionnaire instrument (Version 4) and conducted pitting edema. The number of samples in this study was 108, taken using the purposive sampling technique. The results of this study showed that respondents in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy were found to have severe fatigue complaints of 74.2% and experienced grade 1 peripheral edema of 22.2%. The study gathered various characteristics of respondents undergoing hemodialysis treatment. The results of the study also showed that patients had severe fatigue complaints, and experienced peripheral edema most in grade I

Abstract

Soil-transmitted helminthiases (STH) infections are one of the most common types of infections worldwide, with an estimated 1.5 billion people infected, accounting for 24% of the world's population. According to data from the WHO in 2024, more than 260 million pre-school children and 654 million school-aged children in Indonesia are vulnerable to helminthiasis infection. They are in urgent need of treatment and preventive interventions. Helminthiasis in children leads to a decline in their health and nutritional status, resulting in impaired growth, development, and physical and psychological activity. The purpose of this activity was to educate students of SD 34 Kendari class 3A about helminthiasis. This activity was carried out using the lecture method, providing leaflets and educational videos by lecturers, practitioners, and pharmacist professional students of the 13th batch of the Faculty of Pharmacy UHO, in collaboration with SDN 34 Kendari school, Puuwatu District, Kendari City. The results of this activity contributed to increasing the knowledge and understanding of students of SDN 34 Kendari about helminthiasis and how to prevent it.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pendataan penduduk memiliki urgensi tinggi dalam mendukung perencanaan pembangunan desa, penyusunan kebijakan publik, dan distribusi sumber daya yang adil. Desa Watalara di Kabupaten Kolaka masih menghadapi kendala dalam pengelolaan data penduduk yang tidak terstruktur dan kurang akurat. Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) menjadi solusi alternatif dengan memberdayakan mahasiswa untuk menerapkan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi di masyarakat. Tujuan: Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan menganalisis peran KKN dalam penyempurnaan data penduduk serta mengevaluasi dampaknya terhadap tata kelola desa. Metode: Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi kegiatan. Hasil: Hasil menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam KKN dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendataan melalui digitalisasi, pelatihan perangkat desa, dan partisipasi warga. Kesimpulan: Perbaikan data ini berkontribusi pada akurasi informasi serta peningkatan pelayanan publik. Temuan memberikan rekomendasi bagi pengembangan KKN yang lebih berkelanjutan dan solutif.

Abstract

The Medina Charter represents not only a historical foundation of early Islamic politics but also a relevant paradigm for addressing the challenges of multiculturalism in modern constitutional systems. This study examines the extent to which the principles embodied in the Charter, such as equality of citizens (al-musawah), justice (al-‘adalah), freedom of religion, minority protection, social solidarity, and consultation (shura), can serve as constitutional values to promote inclusive, democratic, and just governance in contemporary contexts. Employing a qualitative-descriptive approach with a normative-juridical analysis, this research examines classical Islamic political texts in conjunction with modern constitutional theories. The findings suggest that, if interpreted contextually and supported by institutional strengthening and constitutional reform, the Medina Charter can provide a constructive framework for establishing a pluralistic and democratic state. Furthermore, the integration of Islamic-based multicultural education is identified as a strategic means to foster collective awareness of peaceful coexistence in diverse societies. This study highlights that the Charter should not remain a static historical document, but instead be viewed as a living constitutional reference capable of inspiring the development of Islamic constitutional practices that promote justice, democracy, and harmony. The novelty of this research lies in its effort to connect early Islamic constitutional values with contemporary challenges of multicultural governance, offering new insights for the actualization of the Medina Charter in modern state systems.
