Abstract

Language often changes along with the times and its speakers. Language as a means of expression and communication in human life such as in the fields of culture, science and technology. The development of the influence of the western world that makes changes to the language in Indonesia such as vocabulary and terminology. The research method used in this research is a type of qualitative research that is descriptive and carried out using analysis. The process and meaning are more cenerung in this study with theory as a foundation to focus on research in accordance with the field, the results and research of this study require in-depth analysis to obtain data. Lexical semantics refers to lexical meaning, or the meaning that exists in a lexeme even though there is no explicit context. For example, the lexeme buya (crocodile) has a lexical "a type of slithering animal" meaning. Therefore, the lexical meaning is equivalent to the ordinary meaning of language/expression is a combination of words whose meaning has been fused and does not need to be interpreted with the meaning of the elements that make it up. Based on the results of the study, there is a lexical meaning in the expression "There are shrimp behind the stone", the lexical meaning in the expression "There are shrimp behind the stone" is to strengthen an idea in a hidden way. By using the terms "shrimp" and "stone", this expression illustrates the activeness of the language.

Abstract

Karya sastra yang berkembang di Nusantara salah satunya ialah pantun, tak terkecuali pada suatu tradisi perkawinan masyarakat Melayu yakni buka palang pintu. Hal menarik untuk diteliti tentang warisan nusantara yakni pantun, ialah sebab pantun memiliki bentuk yang unik serta indah, selanjutnya salah satu aspek yang menunjang keindahan suatu karya sastra tersebut ialah citraan. Dapat dikatakan bahwa pemanfaatan citraan untuk menimbulkan suasana yang khusus dalam pikiran dan penginderaan. Dengan demikian ide yang semula abstrak yang dipaparkan oleh penyair dapat ditangkap selah-olah dilihat, didengar, diraba, dirasa, dicium, atau dipikirkan oleh pembaca. Penelitian perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui citraan apa saja yang muncul pada pantun tradisi buka palang pintu. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam kajian yaitu Struktural dengan metode penelitian etnografi kualitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh, didapati terdapat enam citraan yang muncul dari total tujuh citraan yang dipaparkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan semantik inkuistif yang masih jarang digunakan di Indonesia. Semantik inkuistif merupakan  kajian yang  berusaha menggali peribahasa sebagai objeknya lebih mendalam untuk mengetahui mengapa dan bagaimana suatu objek dapat dijadikan metafora dalam peribahasa tersebut. Data dalam penelitian ini merupakan peribahasa Melayu berobjek batu yang diperoleh dari Pusat Rujukan Persuratan Melayu (PRPM). Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik catat. Proses analisis data melewati tiga tahap yakni reduksi data, penyajian data, dan simpulan. Hasil yang diperoleh yakni batu digunakan sebagai perumpamaan dalam peribahasa Melayu karena karena karakteristiknya yang sederhana, tidak berharga, dan berat.

Abstract

A proverb is one of figurative languages delivered from generation to generation aimed to be a guide in living life. Thus, people can learn many lessons through it. In Malay language, there are quite a lot of proverbs that have natural elements such as water, fire, earth, and wind/air in them. Unfortunately, learning about Malay proverbs in schools has not been able to restore the existence of Malay proverbs among young people. This study aims to introduce a different way of studying Malay proverbs, especially those with natural elements, namely by looking for the meaning and reason behind the choice of words in the proverb. By using the method of inquisitive semantics analysis in analyzing the data collected, this study was able to find four elements of nature in Malay proverbs namely the elements of water, fire, earth, and wind/air. Specifically, this study found a total of 8 proverbs with the element of water, 4 proverbs with the element of fire, 4 proverbs with the element of earth, and 4 proverbs with the element of wind/air. This study found the fact that Malay Society is indeed very close to nature as proven by the many natural elements found in Malay proverbs. In these proverbs, many things can be learned, for example, culture, history, and also the mindset of the Malay Society itself.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan efektivitas berdaya nalar dalam kegiatan belajar saat daring. Kegiatan bernalar mencakup disiplin diri, berpikir kritis, dam berpikir kreatif. Desain tindakan penelitian dengan metode survei. Terdapat 169 mahasiswa yang terangkum secara acak berdasarkan partisipasi responden dalam mengikuti survei, terdiri dari 19 laki-laki dan dengan persentase 11,23% dan 150 perempuan dengan persentase 88,8%. Sumber data berasal dari tanggapan para responden yang mengisi instrumen. Teknis analisis menggunakan melalui analisis faktor pada instrumen, korelasi Product Moment, deskriptif-mean dan standar deviasi, serta Anova satu arah untuk mendapatkan gambaran signifikansi faktor-faktor tersebut. Hasilnya menunjukkan tiga komponen utama yang menjadi dasar analisis dan pemetaan terhadap daya nalar di kalangan mahasiswa dalam belajar saat daring berada pada rata-rata 4,035 dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Data RMSEA 0,08 dan tidak melebihi 0,08 yang menunjukkan instrumen berkategori baik dan valid pada nilai AR di atas 0,4 dan AVE di atas 0,5. Melalui Anova diketahui nilai F 0,000 < 0,05, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Masing-masing faktor tersebut memiliki karakteristik tersendiri ketika diimplementasikan dalam kegiatan belajar.

Abstract

Artikel ini menjelaskan tentang penggunaan bahan ajar dalam kearifan lokal. guna menghasilkan tenaga akademik, profesi, dan vokasi (calon guru dan guru) yang memiliki kompetensi unggul. Penyusunan bahan ajar yang selama ini dilaksanakan (model faktual) oleh guru masih ditemukan kelemahan, sehingga untuk mengatasi kelemahan tersebut peneliti mereview berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan di Sekolah dasar. Produk hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan panduan oleh pengawas maupun kepala sekolah dalam melakukan pembinaan bagi guru dalam penyusunan bahan ajar disekolah dalam kearifan lokal. Tujuan dari penggunaan bahan ajar kearifan lokal ini agar guru- guru dapat memahami dengan benar dan juga gunanya untuk meningkatkan kompetensi bagi guru serta memberi kesempatan kepada guru untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap baru yang pada akhirnya akan meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the meaning of proverbs from the aspect of cognitive semantics and their relevance to character education. This study used a qualitative research approach. The research data was documentary in nature and utilized in the life of the Malay community. The selection of proverbs was conducted by considering the uniqueness of their meanings, popularity, and relevance in everyday life. There were eight representative proverbs that serve as the basis for analysis and were relevant to character education. The analysis method employed cognitive semantics to elucidate the meaning within the selected proverbs and their relevance to character education values that can be applied at the educational unit level. The analysis of proverbs through cognitive semantic analysis revealed the presence of three types of metaphors, namely conceptual metaphors, orientation metaphors, and image schema metaphors. The values found in the proverbs were relevant to character education, it includes: responsibility, empathy, flexibility, caution, wisdom, discipline, persistence, concerns, sensitivity, hard work, cooperation, patience, awareness, equality, diligence, accuracy, openness, vigilance, consistency, respect, honor, nationalism, realism, and readiness. The values found in the proverbs can serve as a guidance and strengthen the implementation of character education at the educational unit level.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of the lack of availability of teaching materials. The main teaching materials used by students are student worksheets, while the supporting teaching materials are school textbooks. This research is a research and development using the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate approach. The purpose of this study is to produce and describe the development of a learning module for poster texts containing Riau Malay culture. Based on the research and development conducted, it is known that the analysis of the needs of the learning module for poster texts containing Riau Malay culture is categorized as very much needed. Furthermore, based on the high level of need, a product design and development in the form of a module was prepared. Overall, the validation results of the learning module for poster texts containing Riau Malay culture are categorized as very good and can be tested. The pretest and posttest values obtained from the results of the trial were then tested to determine the significance of product use. Based on the tests carried out, significant differences were obtained. Furthermore, at the evaluation stage, it was carried out based on assessments from expert validators, assessments of Indonesian language teachers, and student assessments. Overall, the assessments from the three aspects were categorized as very good. Thus, the learning module for poster texts containing Riau Malay culture that was developed is suitable for use in learning poster texts. Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan kurangnya ketersediaan bahan ajar. Bahan ajar utama yang digunakan oleh siswa adalah lembar kerja siswa, sedangkan bahan ajar pendukungnya ialah buku paket sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan pendekatan Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement, dan Evaluate. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk menghasilkan dan mendeskripsikan pengembangan modul pembelajaran teks poster bermuatan budaya Melayu Riau. Berdasarkan penelitian dan pengembangan yang dilakukan, diketahui analisis kebutuhan modul pembelajaran teks poster bermuatan budaya Melayu Riau berkategori sangat butuh. Selanjutnya, berdasarkan tingginya tingkat kebutuhan tersebut, disusunlah sebuah rancangan dan pengembangan produk berupa modul. Secara keseluruhan hasil validasi modul pembelajaran teks poster bermuatan budaya Melayu Riau berkategori sangat baik dan dapat dilakukan uji coba. Nilai pretest dan posttest yang didapatkan dari hasil uji coba selanjutnya diuji untuk mengetahui signifikansi penggunaan produk. Berdasarkan uji yang dilakukan didapatkan perbedaan yang signifikan. Selanjutnya pada tahapan evaluasi, dilakukan berdasarkan penilaian dari para validator ahli, respons pengguna (guru dan siswa). Secara keseluruhan penilaian dari tiga aspek tersebut berkategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian modul pembelajaran teks poster bermuatan budaya Melayu Riau yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran teks poster.

Abstract

In order to implement communicative learning activities, ateacher must be able to design various means or media so that learningprocess keeps running well. A teacher is expected not to stutter indesigning media for various learning needs. The main purpose of thisstudy is to examine the strategies done by teachers in designing media toimplement communicative learning. This research is a descriptiveresearch in which the data were collected from teachers of MadrasahAliyah Negeri (public Islamic senior high schools) in Pekanbaru city. Theresearch sample was 36 teachers. The instrument used to collect the datawas a scale questionnaire. The data were descriptively analyzed. Eachitem of the questionnaire becomes the basis and the principal of theresearch analysis. The research findings reveal that to implementcommunicative learning, the teachers designed learning media. Thestrategies they used are making use of e-learning and making use ofvarious teaching and learning facilities, creating student worksheets andcompiling teaching materials, and presenting slides or other media inaccordance with the teaching materials. Each of the strategy is set at avery high standard. The teachers’ strategy to design media at the publicschools runs well. It can be seen from the average of the strategy that is4.48 and the average belongs to very high category. The data also clearlyreveal that the teachers are creative and innovative in designing media toimplement communicative learning.

Abstract

This study is a stage in the development of e-comics assisted by figma and flipbooks on the material of reading biographical texts for high school students. This study aims to describe the analysis of student needs for learning to read biographical texts. The survey method in the research method used in this study. The data collection instrument in this study is a needs analysis questionnaire. This study uses a Likert scale to measure students' views and perceptions of the e-comics developed. This study uses a questionnaire sheet made in the form of a closed statement with a scoring range of 1 to 5. The questionnaires compiled were addressed to students in two high schools in Pekanbaru City. This sampling technique is based on the sampling quota determined by the researcher. The data analysis technique is carried out by changing the category value into an assessment score and analyzing the score. The results showed that 87.70% of students had difficulty in learning to read biographical texts and 88.74% of students wanted learning to read biographical texts to be presented with interesting and innovative media. This shows the need to compile e-comics assisted by figma and flipbooks for the material of writing argumentative texts.
