Abstract

This study employs bibliometric analysis to explore the landscape of research on urban public health and sustainability. Utilizing data extracted from major databases spanning from 1992 to 2024, the research identifies key thematic clusters, examines trends over time, identifies gaps presenting future research opportunities, and investigates author collaboration networks. The findings reveal a distinct shift towards integrating urban design with health outcomes, emphasizing the role of green spaces in enhancing mental and physical well-being. Emerging themes such as the impact of pandemics on urban health and the potential of blue spaces in urban settings are highlighted as under-researched areas that offer significant potential for future studies. Furthermore, the analysis of collaboration networks indicates robust intra-field connections and potential for new interdisciplinary partnerships. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the evolving dynamics within urban public health research and underscores the importance of multidisciplinary approaches in addressing complex urban challenges.

Abstract

This bibliometric study delves into the extensive literature on risk and protective factors for mental health in the modern era, considering the complexities posed by technological advancements, socio-cultural shifts, and globalization. Utilizing bibliometric analysis, we identify clusters of literature, analyze trends over time, and explore potential research avenues. The network visualization reveals six distinct clusters, each representing thematic discussions related to mental health. Trend analysis highlights the evolution of research focus from early concerns to contemporary issues, with COVID-19 emerging as a prominent theme. Density analysis identifies research gaps and potential future topics. The collaboration network among authors suggests opportunities for interdisciplinary research. This analysis offers valuable insights for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to inform evidence-based strategies for navigating the intricate landscape of mental health in the modern era.

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Early marriage is a problem at the national level in Indonesia. Madurese society has the second highest rate of early marriage in Madura, thus potentially causing poverty and health problems such as teenage pregnancy, labor pain, and death. This study aimed to determine the factors that influence adolescents' knowledge about early marriage. Methods: The variables in this study are gender, education, and place of residence. The analysis in this study is to predict the outcome of the dependent variable, which is categorically based on one or more independent variables. The respondents to this study were teenagers aged 15–19. The number of respondents in this study was 100 respondents with random sampling. The instrument used is a questionnaire about early marriage. With significance criteria in the range r = 0.2000.543, table r = 0.362, and a confidence value of Cronbach's alpha = 0.823. The data were analyzed with the Chi-Square test. Results: The results of the Chi-Square analysis obtained a p-value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is a significant relationship between education and knowledge about early marriage. Analysis of the relationship between the two variables shows an OR value of 0.09, meaning that adolescents with higher education have 0.09 times less knowledge of early marriage than adolescents with low education. Conclusion: Access to information is a problem that affects the knowledge of adolescents about the risks of early marriage, so adolescents with low education have less knowledge about the risks of early marriage.

Abstract

Background: Pain in the elderly with osteoarthritis requires alternative therapy to fulfill their comfort. The purpose of this study was to explore the culture of sleeping on the sand among the coastal elderly with osteoarthritis pain.   Methods: This research method used a qualitative research approach with phenomenological research design and data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The time of the research is from April to May 2023, located in Legung Village, Batang-Batang District, Sumenep Regency. The technique was judgment sampling, with nurses as key informants, the elderly as main informants, and traditional and community leaders as supporting informants, so the informants in this study were 18 participants. Data analysis uses athematic analysis based on values, activities, and artifacts.   Results: 1. Cultural elements in the form of values and ideas in the culture of sleeping on the sand include sleep history, belief in sleeping on the sand, and concepts or values in society. 2. The form of activity can be seen in several sand extraction activities or the implementation procedure of preparing sand to be used as the basic material for bedding. 3. The form of the artifacts is related to the tools and materials used in this case, which are related to sleep culture.   Conclusion: The culture of sleeping on the sand has a comforting effect on older people based on three forms of culture, including ideas and values, activities, and artifacts. The culture of sleeping on the sand can be used as a daily activity to overcome the problem of osteoarthritis in older people. This research can be developed regarding the implementation of culture-based transcultural nursing care.

Abstract

In recent decades, reproductive health research has expanded significantly with growth in the number of scientific publications. This trend indicates an increased interest in understanding critical aspects affecting fertility, pregnancy problems, reproductive technologies, and their impact on women's and men's reproductive health. Bibliometric analysis is a powerful tool to understand changes in research trends, collaboration between researchers, and the impact of publications in the reproductive health domain. This study aims to analyze recent developments in reproductive health research through a bibliometric approach. The research method utilizes bibliometric analysis of leading journal databases to identify research trends, collaboration, and impact in the reproductive health domain. The results showed a significant increase in the number of publications related to reproductive health over the last few decades. Key findings include a research focus on risk factors such as diet, environment and lifestyle that affect fertility and the impact of new medical technologies on fertility treatments. In addition, cross-disciplinary collaboration is an important trend, combining fields such as medical science, psychology and social science to better understand the dynamics of reproductive health. In conclusion, this bibliometric analysis confirms the need for a holistic approach in reproductive health research. Cross-disciplinary collaboration is key to expanding understanding of the factors that influence reproductive health and to developing more effective prevention and intervention strategies. This study provides a foundation for future research planning in an effort to improve global reproductive health.
