Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap kecenderungan stres pada karyawan. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 86 karyawan tetap di suatu perusahaan dan memiliki durasi kerja tidak kurang dari dua tahun yang terdiri dari 52 laki-laki dan 34 perempuan. Alat ukur dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Perceived Stress Scale 10 item, The Assessing Emotional Scale (AES) 33 item, dan Komunikasi Interpersonal 23 item. Setelahnya data dianalisis menggunakan program software IBM SPSS statistic 22 for windows melalui uji regresi linear sederhana dan berganda. Hasil menunjukan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap stres pada karyawan (Sig. 0,03< 0,05). Selanjutnya kecerdasan emosional memiliki pengaruh negatif yang signifikan terhadap stres karyawan (Sig. 0,034< 0,05). Komunikasi interpersonal dan kecerdasan emosional secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap stres pada karyawan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh antara kebutuhan akan prestasi dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap intensi wirausaha pada siswa SMK di Jawa Timur. Subyek dalam penelitian ini merupakan siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) yang sedang menempuh pendidikan di Jawa Timur yang berjumlah 70 orang. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner intensi wirausaha (Entrepreneurial Intention Questionnaire) untuk mengukur kemampuan intensi wirausaha, skala kebutuhan akan prestasi untuk mengukur variabel kebutuhan akan prestasi dan trait emotional intelligence questionnaire short form (TEIQue-SF) untuk mengukur variabel kecerdasan emosional. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan aplikasi SPSS Statistics 25. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh positif pada kebutuhan akan prestasi dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap intensi wirausaha siswa sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) di Jawa Timur dengan besar pengaruh R² sebesar 0,222. Namun secara parsial tidak terdapat pengaruh antara kebutuhan akan prestasi dengan intensi wirausaha.

Abstract

This study aims to explore career satisfaction as influenced by proactive personality mediated by career adaptability and person-job fit in rightsizing situations for frontline employees of PT. X. This research uses a quantitative research approach. Data analysis used a structural equation modelling-partial least squares (SEM-PLS) approach supported by the Smart-PLS 3.0 computer software programme. Online questionnaires were distributed to 106 respondents. In this study, the respondents were frontline employees who worked at PT X. Proactive personality has no effect on career satisfaction, but has an influence on person-job fit and career adaptability. Career adaptability affects career satisfaction and acts as a mediator in the relationship between proactive personality and career satisfaction. Meanwhile, person-job fit has no effect on career satisfaction and cannot act as a mediator in the relationship between proactive personality and career satisfaction. This research focuses on career satisfaction for frontlines in rightsizing situations. Where this situation provides a limit on the length of work for frontline employees, namely for five years of work. Rightsizing is felt to have an impact on employees during their working period. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct more in-depth research on career satisfaction for employees who get rightsizing policies.

Abstract

Authentic followership has been proven to contribute to increasing the effectiveness of leadership and organizational performance. Authentic followership has four-dimensional structures, namely self-awareness, balanced processing, relational transparency, and internalized moral perspective. Based on previous studies, the only measuring instrument that is comprehensive enough to reveal the construct of authentic followership is the authentic followership scale by Leroy et al. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to adapt the authentic followership scale into the Indonesian language and test its validity. To determine the content and construct validity of the measuring instrument, this study involved 531 participants (M age = 42.31, SD = 9.76; 58% female and 42% male). The results of the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) proved that the four-factor measurement model (16 items) fit the empirical data obtained. This finding indicates that the Indonesian adaptation of the authentic followership scale has internal validity and construct validity as a measuring instrument. This study has limitations related to participants who only involved members of public organizations from East Java. Therefore, further research should involve members of public organizations from various organizations throughout the province. The originality of this study is the only adaptation process of the authentic followership scale in the Indonesian language that has ever existed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan pendekatan Appreciative Inquiry (AI) dalam meningkatkan pelayanan sepenuh hati pada karyawan Gereja Katolik Santa Perawan Maria di Fatima Sragen. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan AI mampu mendorong karyawan untuk lebih berfokus pada kekuatan dan potensi yang ada, sehingga meningkatkan komitmen dan kepuasan mereka dalam memberikan pelayanan. Dalam kesimpulannya, pendekatan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan, tetapi juga memperkuat hubungan antar karyawan dan jemaat, yang pada akhirnya berkontribusi pada pengembangan komunitas gereja yang lebih harmonis.

Abstract

The research aims to describe parents' aspirations of distance learning for children during the pandemic. Aspiration shows an individual's hope to achieve something expected. Aspirations can include theoretical differences between idealistic and realistic levels of aspiration. The aspirations are parents' hopes regarding appropriate learning for their children. These aspirations include learning methods, processes, and behavior in children. The informants are parents of elementary or middle school students who learn through distance learning with consideration that students at the level still need more parental support. The research uses descriptive content analysis methods using information from parents about school learning during the pandemic in online news media between March and November 2020. The search yielded 38 relevant online news articles. Findings include parents hoping that their children will learn face-to-face at school because online learning is considered less effective. Three types of aspirations were obtained: considering distance learning less effective because schools are not ready to carry out online learning, also considering less effective because parents are unable to accompany them and accept distance learning by accompanying children to learn Working status seems less influential because some parents encourage face-to-face meetings and some want to accompany their children to study. This shows that distance learning requires the role of schools and parents to be beneficial for children.

Abstract

Tuntutan pekerjaan yang tinggi dapat berdampak negatif pada kinerja karyawan secara individual ataupun organisasional. Salah satu faktor dari tingginya tuntutan pekerjaan adalah adanya interaksi karyawan dengan pelanggan yang tidak santun di tempat kerja. Persepsi dukungan atasan diketahui berperan sebagai sumber daya pekerjaan yang dapat mengurangi tuntutan pekerjaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh perilaku ketidaksantunan pelanggan terhadap tuntutan pekerjaan dengan persepsi dukungan atasan sebagai variabel moderasi. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini meliputi 106 karyawan garda terdepan pada sektor perbankan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei menggunakan instrumen WIS, JDR-Q, dan SPOS. Data dianalisis melalui uji deskriptif dan uji analisis regresi moderasi dengan bantuan program IBM SPSS versi 26. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ketidaksantunan pelanggan berpengaruh positif terhadap tuntutan pekerjaan dan persepsi dukungan atasan tidak memoderasi pengaruh ketidaksantunan pelanggan terhadap tuntutan pekerjaan pada karyawan garda terdepan sektor perbankan di Indonesia.

Abstract

This research, divided into two studies, aimed to modify, and adapt the cyber incivility scale compiled by Lim and Teo (2009) in the Indonesian language and culture. Study 1, namely the process of translating the items and testing their suitability, involving six translators, three expert reviewers, and 10 participants for cognitive debriefing purposes. Meanwhile, Study 2 involved 232 workers in Indonesia who occupied structural leadership positions. The subjects consisted of 126 women (54.5%) and 106 men (45.5%) with a mean age of 36.9 years (SD = 8.64; min = 20 years; max = 64 years). At this stage, a trial of the cyber incivility scale was carried out. The scale was adapted with confirmatory factor analysis using AMOS version 22. The entire adaptation process referred to the procedures of the 2016 International Test Commission (ITC) Guidelines for Test Adaptation. The CFA results of the goodness of fit test showed fit values (CFI = .972; TLI = .966; RMSEA = .063, GFI = .909, p = .000). Therefore, it could be concluded that the cyber incivility measurement model in this study was following the cyber incivility theory of Lim and Teo (2009) with two factors. Overall, this research showed that the Indonesian version of the cyber incivility scale is valid and reliable, thus applicable to measure the cyber incivility in the context of the perpetrator in Indonesia.

Abstract

Although public organizations have an important role, facts show that there are problems with their performance. One concept that can be used as a solution to the performance of public organizations is authentic followership. This study aimed to investigate the influence of authentic leadership on authentic followership mediated by secure attachment of followers. The research method used was a survey with a sample of 197 members of a public organization in East Java. The analysis used a measurement and structural model analysis using SmartPLS software version 3. The results showed the influence of authentic leadership on secure attachment of followers (0.341*). In addition, the secure attachment of followers affected authentic followership (0.364*). Authentic leadership also influenced authentic followership, mediated by followers' secure attachment (0.124*). This research can provide a conceptual foundation and theoretical discourse on the influence of authentic leadership and followers' secure attachment to authentic followership in public organizations.
