Abstract

Analisis jabatan merupakan dasar bagi hampir semua aktivitas dalam sumber daya manusia. Anaiisis jabatan memiliki fungsi sebagai rekrutmen, evaluasi kinerja, dan pelaksanaan program pelatihan. Analisis jabatan memiliki hasil berupa job description yang tentunya sebagai komunikasi secara tertulis terkait pekerjaan tersebut. Dampaknya apabila tidak adanya uraian tugas tersebut tentunya berpengaruh pada efektivitas organisasi, yaitu salah satunya tumpang tindih penugasan setiap bagiannya. Pelaksanaan analisis jabatan yang menyeluruh akan memperoleh kompetensi yang dibutuhkan untuk melakukan tugas tersebut. Organisasi yang dapat menerapkan analisis jabatan yang tepat sesuai kebutuhannya akan memudahkan mereka untuk menempatkan sumber daya manusianya atau memenuhi target rightsizing dan mapping personil berdasarkan kualifikasi dan jumlah. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan oleh salah satu organisasi BUMN klaster industri manufaktur (PT X) dengan melibatkan seluruh jajaran pejabat pada masing-masing fungsi jabatan. Metode yang digunakan mengacu pada hybrid method dimana akan menghasilkan informasi berupa apa yang dilakukan oleh pekerja dan karakteristik individu untuk menyelesaikan pekerjaannya. Teknik wawancara dan survei dapat membantu organisasi untuk melakukan analisis sesuai dengan metode yang ditentukan. Penggunaan metode dan teknik ini akan digunakan sebagai landasan kegiatan pengelolaan job description yang berpengaruh pada efektivitas kerja.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 yang terjadi saat ini dapat memicu job insecurity pada pekerja yang masih bekerja. Munculnya job insecurity pada pekerja tersebut dapat memberikan dampak negatif tidak hanya pada pekerja, tetapi juga organisasi. Penting untuk mengetahui faktor yang dapat mereduksi job insecurity pekerja di masa Pandemi Covid-19 sehingga dapat menekan dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan. Penelitian ini ingin menguji efek moderasi work centrality dalam hubungan leader member exchange (LMX) terhadap job insecurity pada pekerja pariwisata di Bali. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik convenience sampling sehingga diperoleh 271 responden yang bersedia berpartisipasi. Terdapat beberapa skala yang digunakan untuk pengambilan data, yaitu Skala LMX Affect (α = 0,817), LMX Loyalty (α = 0,776), LMX Contribution (α = 0,656), LMX Professional Respect (α = 0,876), Skala Work Centrality (α = 0,784), dan Skala Job Insecurity (α = 0,959). Data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS 25 melalui conditional analysis process. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel work centrality hanya mampu memoderasi hubungan contribution terhadap job insecurity.

Abstract

Dalam upaya mencapai tujuan, kinerja organisasi yang tidak optimal akan menganggu pencapaian tujuan dan dapat mengancam eksistensi organisasi ditengah persaingan global saat ini. Budaya organisasi dapat menjadi instrumen keunggulan kompetitif perusahaan yang dapat mengarahkan karyawan untuk berperilaku dengan cara tertentu dan menampilkan kinerja yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara sikap terhadap budaya organisasi dan kinerja karyawan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah enam puluh tiga karyawan yang bekerja pada bagian staf. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala sikap terhadap budaya organisasi dan skala kinerja karyawan. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana dengan bantuan program statistik SPSS 17. Hasil analisis data diperoleh rhitung = 0.473, sig (P)= 0.00, dengan taraf signifikansi 1% (p<0,01) dan rtabel = 0.317 (rhitung > rtabel). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara sikap terhadap budaya organisasi dengan kinerja karyawan, dimana semakin positif sikap terhadap budaya organisasi maka akan semakin baik pula kinerjanya.

Abstract

Remaja mengalami krisis identitas diri sehingga pada masa ini tergolong dalam periode bermasalah khususnya dengan perilaku cyber- aggression. Pentingnya alat ukur ini di translasi di Indonesia karena di Indonesia sangat jarang diukur mengenai fenomena cyber-aggression. Cyber-Aggression merupakan perilaku melukai yang disengaja melalui penggunaan hal-hal elektronik kepada individu atau kelompok. Dimensi dari cyber-aggression terdiri dari tiga dimensi yaitu Impersonation, Visual-sexual Cyber-aggression, dan Verbal Cyber-aggression and Exclusion. Skala CYBA diisi oleh 83 responden berusia 10-19 tahun yang pernah atau sedang menggunakan media sosial. Pengujian validitas ini dilakukan melalui analisis rasional oleh subject matter expert. Expert judgement dari subject matter expert adalah salah satu dosen mata kuliah pengukuran psikologis di Fakultas Psikologi Unversitas Airlangga. Dari hasil perhitungan Koefisien Alpha Terstratifikasi, nilai koefisien reliabilitas CYBA adalah 0,913. Dapat dikatakan bahwa aitem-aitem yang terdapat dalam skala ini memiliki reliabilitas yang baik. CYBA merupakan alat ukur yang reliabel dan valid.

Abstract

Scale adaptation in different cultures is needed to ensure that the scale measures the intended target. The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) has been adopted in several countries, but no Indonesian language adaptation has been made so far. This study aims to test the construct validity of the Indonesian MSPSS that measures one’s level of social support. Rasch analysis was used to examine the psychometric properties of the scale. The subject in this study was 495 Indonesian marine cadets with an average age of 19.32 (41% Engineering, 52.7% Nautical, and 5.5% Electro). In terms of gender, 94.3% were male and 5.7% female. Findings from the Rasch analysis support the one-dimensionality of the 12-items MSPSS in measuring marine cadets’ level of social support. This finding differs from similar MSPSS studies that show the scale’s structure to be multidimensional. The 12-items MSPSS showed excellent internal consistency (person-item interaction index = .85) and fulfilled all the Rasch model requirements. No item misfit was detected from the MNSQ score (.5 < MNSQ < 1.5). Also, there was no item bias based on gender was detected from the scale (.0949 - .9687) > .05. Future studies are advised to test the scale with different samples to further confirm this study’s findings.

Abstract

Various programs were developed by the company to improve the capacity of women leaders. However, on the other hand, the factor of family support, especially the husband support, has so far been neglected in scientific research related to women leaders. Therefore, this study aimed to understand the role of husband support in the personal growth of women leaders. This study used a phenomenological qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews with 6 women leaders. The results show that what motivates women leaders in their personal growth initiative is wanting to get out of their comfort zone, being challenged to become useful people, and having a clear career path. Besides, forms of support such as not complaining a lot, providing real assistance, providing solutions or information, providing emotional support, and giving space for the women to be alone or free to do things are forms of support needed by women leaders in Indonesia. Moreover, jealous husbands and husbands who forbid and demand many things are felt to inhibit the personal growth initiative of women leaders. Furthermore, the husband's dominant role so far is to support the personal growth initiative process.

Abstract

The use of social media is very popular among adolescents, particularly female adolescents. Social media applications that provide widespread opportunities to share photos with peers, celebrities, and families can impact the body image of adolescent girls. The aim of this study was to explore the use of social media and its impact on perceptions, cognitions, and emotions that underlie body image of adolescent girls. Furthermore, this study also explored specific behaviors as consequences of positive or negative body image of adolescent girls. The authors conducted focus group discussions on eleven first- and third-semester female students at a university in Surabaya. The results of this study showed that all participants used more than one social media application, including Line, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, and Facebook. Activities these participants frequently engaged in, such as uploading photos, viewing other people’s photos, following friends or Instagram celebrities (Insta-celebs), stimulated them to make upward appearance comparisons and more likely to cause negative body image, even though there were participants who still had positive body image. Media literacy, parental guidance, and self-appreciation are necessary to overcome this problem.

Abstract

Change is something that will occur in any organization. The main factor that enables the organizations to achieve success in the changes they face is its employees readiness for change. This study examined the role of psychological capital in the relationship of perceived management support and readiness for change. Data were collected from 198 employees from various departments at PT. X. The sample was selected purposively based on the same criteria, namely: permanent workers from the restructured units at the company. This study used perceived management support,  readiness for change, and psychological capital scales. Data were simultaneously tested using partial least square analysis with the help of Smart PLS 3 software. This study found positive and significant relationship of perceived management support and individual readiness for change, but psychological capital does not mediate the relationship of the perceived management support and individual readiness for change.  Keywords: Perceived management support, psychological capital, readiness for change Abstrak: Perubahan merupakan hal yang pasti akan selalu terjadi pada suatu organisasi. Faktor utama tercapainya keberhasilan dalam perubahan organisasi adalah kesiapan individu untuk berubah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji peran psychological capital dalam hubungan persepsi dukungan manajemen dan kesiapan individu untuk berubah. Penelitian ini melibatkan 198 karyawan dari berbagai departemen di perusahaan PT. X.  Kriteria utama pemilihan sampel adalah para karyawan ini adalah pekerja tetap yang bertugas di unit-unit kerja yang mengalami restrukturasi. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan menggunakan tiga instrumen, yaitu skala persepsi dukungan manajemen, kesiapan individu untuk berubah, dan psychological capital. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik partial least square dengan bantuan aplikasi Smart PLS 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara persepsi dukungan manajemen dan kesiapan individu untuk berubah, namun psychological capital tidak terbukti memediasi hubungan antara persepsi dukungan manajemen dan kesiapan individu untuk berubah tersebut.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of job insecurity towards innovative work behavior with job autonomy as a moderator. The concept of the three variables were tested using the theoretical concepts of job demand and job control. In the condition of "active job", individuals can produce ideas and innovations in responding to work conditions. Previous studies show that active jobs can be obtained when there is a high interaction between high job demand and job control. Based on these studies it can be assumed that job insecurity (job demand) and job autonomy (job control) will influence innovative work behavior. This study used a quantitative approach by using SEM-PLS to analyze data. A total of 194 participants in a manufacturing industry, primarily from its production units, were involved in this study. The results show that job insecurity has a negative significant effect on innovative work behavior while job autonomy has a positive significant effect on the variable. The moderation test of job autonomy on the effect of job insecurity on innovative work behavior show no significant result. The strict operational standard procedure in the production unit is assumed as one of the factors that makes job autonomy does not play a role in reducing the negative influence of job insecurity on innovative work behavior.Keywords: Job autonomy, job insecurity, innovative work behavior, manufacturing

Abstract

The economic impact of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic has left many workers to be laid off. It psychologically caused those with jobs to feel insecure, which is known to affect individuals and organizations negatively. Drawing from Hobfoll’s Conservation of Resources (COR) theoretical framework, this study examined the correlation of organizational communication and job insecurity among workers during the COVID-19 pandemic with the moderating role of work centrality. Data were collected from 271 tourism workers in Bali through the purposive sampling technique. The result showed the negative correlation of organization communication towards job insecurity of tourism workers in Bali. The negative correlation between organizational communication and job insecurity became stronger for Balinese tourism workers with high work centrality than workers with lower work centrality. Accordingly, organizations should make a greater effort to communicate with workers about the organization’s stability during the COVID-19 pandemic to attenuate workers’ job insecurity.
