Abstract

Early childhood education is the first and foremost education so learning must also be considered because the most rapid development stage is at an early age. Every child is born with the potential of each. Children are small humans who have potential that must be developed. Children have certain characteristics that are unique and not the same as adults, they are always active, dynamic, enthusiastic and curious about what they see, hear, feel, they seem to never stop exploring in learning. An educator should as much as possible try to develop the quality of learning given to students for whom they are responsible. One thing that must be developed at an early age is children's cognitive abilities. Cognitive abilities in early childhood are related to children's numeracy skills. In general, an early age child already has beginner numeracy skills, but in some schools sometimes counting becomes an unpleasant learning for children, so many children feel resentful of learning mathematics. Teaching children the concept of numbers from an early age is something that must be done to develop children's cognitive aspects. Stimulating numeracy skills requires media that can distract children, here researchers use numeric sticks to improve children's numeracy skills. Stick numbers are a form of game-based learning media to convey learning material in early childhood. It is hoped that the use of number stick games will be easier to help children understand the concept of counting so that they are more motivated in learning to count beginning. The problems discussed included (1) How were the student learning activities at TK Kids Fantasi Camp group B in Penarungan Badung in the academic year 2020/2021 in the application of number sticks? (2) How do the students' numeracy skills increase at TK Kids Fantasi Camp group B in Penarungan Badung in the academic year 2020/2021 in the application of number sticks? (3) What is the response of students in TK Kids Fantasi Camp Group B in Penarungan Badung Academic Year 2019/202 with the application of number sticks? This study aims to determine the development of children's beginner's numeracy skills through the use of number sticks as media. The results showed that the use of image media was proven to improve the numeracy skills of group B beginners in TK Kids Fantasi Camp.

Abstract

Language is a very important aspect to be developed because it relates to the child's ability to communicate ideas and feelings. Stimulation of the language of the environment where the child lives, in this case the Balinese language also determines the child's ability to interact and communicate. This study aimed to determine the position of the Balinese language in the context of early childhood learning. The approach used in this research was descriptive qualitative. Research data were obtained through observation, interviews, and strengthened by analysis of learning documents in ECE. The total number of respondents were 7 teachers from 3 ECE institutions in Badung Regency, Bali. The data collected was then analysed using the Miles and Huberman model, which consisted of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion/verification. The results showed that: 1) the position of the Balinese language in the context of early childhood learning including second language learning, 2) Balinese language learning in ECE was intended as an effort to preserve culture for early childhood, and 3) Balinese language learning in ECE helped children easier to communicate with the environment in which he lives. The use of language by early childhood in accordance with the language of the environment in which they live, in this case is Balinese, in addition to providing opportunities for children to communicate and interact more, it can also support children's mastery of language. The more children master the language, will be better their cognitive development.

Abstract

Character education can equip young children to become Indonesia's golden generation who are superior and skilled in noble work. This research aims to produce an early childhood character learning model based on local Indonesian wisdom through the Playing Center title which will be implemented at Early Childhood Education Institutions (ECE) in Indonesia. This research method uses the steps of the Borg and Gall research and development model. The subjects in this research were 30 teachers from five ECE institutions in the DKI Jakarta area. The data used as the basis for building a framework for early childhood character learning models based on local intelligence were collected using observation and interview techniques. The findings show that the teacher prepares a learning plan program at the beginning of each semester which is listed in the weekly program and daily program. However, the teacher has not fully prepared a simulation program that leads directly to the introduction of early childhood character. Identification of character values in early childhood is done by providing examples of behavior and speech at school. The media that has been used to identify children's characters is through posters and non-digital story books. The learning environment needs to be improved because teachers have not been optimal in organizing the play environment in providing stimulation to children in class. The results of this research will enrich the character education model following the potential of the institution and the cultural background of early childhood as Indonesia's golden generation. Abstract

The utilization of the Balinese language among young children is an essential aspect to consider as it pertains to their ability to effectively engage with their surroundings. This qualitative investigation aims to identify the factors that impact the utilization of Balinese during early childhood. The study's participants consisted of five parents and two teachers of children in Group B2. The research method relied on interviews and documentation records, and the data were analyzed using taxonomic analysis. The findings of the study reveal that there are three primary factors that affect the use of Balinese in early childhood, which include language acquisition, language environment, and language learning. The environment, especially the family setting, plays the most crucial role in Balinese language usage. This research uncovered that children who belong to a specific caste and those who reside in suburban environments tend to utilize Balinese more frequently. The environment where children interact holds a significant impact on their chances of gaining experience in using Balinese.

Abstract

The study aims to describe the development of process design and validation of learning media 'friendly teacher e-flashcards' through empirical test on a limited group. 'Teacher friendly e-flashcards' is the media that was developed to meet the needs of bilingual learning at the level of early childhood education. The development of educational media is implemented in four stages: a preliminary study, development, evaluation, and reflection as well as documentation. At this stage of development, the content is prepared first and then proceed with the design of the program. Validation of the content and media experts shows that the 'teacher friendly e-flashcards' is being 'very good' for stimulation bilingual early childhood. Furthermore, empirical tests on a limited group (12 kindergarten teachers from four districts in Bali) gave judgment on the category of 'good'. Media 'teacher friendly e-flashcards' is a technology-based educational media that can be used in bilingual teaching of children of kindergarten in Bali. Further media development and empirical testing in a wider group strongly recommended for subsequent research

Ahli media diperoleh nilai CVR sebesar 0,99. Abstract

The phenomenon of fatherlessness in Indonesia is an issue that cannot be ignored, considering the importance of the role of fathers in character formation, emotional well-being, and family economic stability. The figure of the father not only functions as a breadwinner, but also as an educator, role model, and the main supporter in the development of children. Active father involvement contributes to the child's psychological balance, preventing negative impacts such as low self-confidence, difficulties in building social relationships, and an increased risk of mental problems. In addition, the role of men in society also contributes to community strengthening and inclusive social development. This service activity aims to increase public awareness of the importance of the presence and involvement of fathers and men in family and social life. One form of implementation of this program is the organization of a letter writing competition for fathers as a medium of reflection and appreciation. This activity is expected to be able to build collective awareness about the importance of the father figure, strengthen emotional relationships in the family, and encourage the community to appreciate the role of men in various aspects of life. Thus, this activity contributes to building a culture of appreciation for the role of fathers and encourages the active participation of men in forming a more harmonious family and community.
