Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the world of education, especially learning at school, learning challenges and offline has become a relentless tug of war until now. The use of learning methods demands teacher creativity in current conditions, so the ability to integrate various learning methods must continue to be carried out. This study examines the integration of learning methods in Social Studies and Citizenship Education thematic learning carried out by classroom teachers at SDIT ALAM GARUT during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research was conducted using a descriptive approach where data collection was done by interview, observation and documentation. Interviews were conducted with teachers, students, and parents, observations with teachers, students, and parents, as well as observing several supporting documents. The results showed that there was an integrated use of methods in Social Studies and Citizenship Education thematic learning at SDIT Alam Garut, including: lectures via voicenotes, direct or limited demonstrations via video, giving through photos, written assignments given via WhatsApp or students or parents taking assignments at the school. schools, and practices that are videoed and sent via the WhatsApp application. The use of this integration of learning methods is solely to maintain the continuity of the learning process for students at SDIT Alam Garut during the Covid 19 Pandemic.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji legenda yang hidup dikalangan masyarakat kawasan Hutan Sancang, yang dikhususkan pada penelitian tentang keberadaan ilmu kanuragan rajah pakuwon. Hutan sancang di wilayah Garut Selatan, menyimpan banyak misteri legenda yang pada gilirannya mempengaruhi sikap hidup masyarakat di sekitarnya. Pandangan-pandangan sakral tentang Hutan sancang serta kebesaran leluhur mereka yakni Prabu Siliwangi, telah melahirkan sikap yang memuliakan alam dan semua peninggalannya. Berbagai pantangan adat serta keyakinan akan kekuatan luar biasa bagi kedigjayaan manusia, lahir dari sikap dan pandangan sakral tentang hutan dan karuhun (leluhur), sehingga muncul kearifan lokal masyarakat setempat dalam menyikapi dan melestarikan lingkungan alam dan segala aspek ritualnya. Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman di era Globalisasi saat ini,  nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam pengembangan Ilmu Kanuragan Rajah Pakuwon nampaknya mengalami pergeseran, akan tetapi sebagian masyarakat masih melestarikannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Melalui pendekatan ini, segala bentuk fenomena sosial  yang muncul dalam kajian penelitian dapat dipaparkan hingga menyentuh kepada pemaknaan yang lebih dalam pada suatu fenomena, dalam hal ini adalah kebermaknaan sebuah ilmu kanuragan rajah pakuwon bagi masyarakat Garut Selatan. Kata Kunci : Ilmu Kanuragan Rajah Pakuwon, Hutan Sancang, Kearifan Lokal, Era Globalisasi

Abstract

This article aims to describe how an anthropocentric perspective can lead to an ethical solution to resolving the ecological crisis. The ecological crisis should be seen as a misrepresentation of the role of human beings in exceeding the limits of environmental exploitation as mandated in Islam. Therefore, education should be used in offering solutions and innovations in the various scholarly disciplines, such as social studies. One innovation is the use of poetry as a learning resource for social studies. Poetry exploration is devoted to utilizing the value of local poetry. A qualitative approach is used to describe a value-based social studies learning concept. This study focuses on the poem of Huma Yang Perih, which describes agricultural conditions in South Kalimantan that have begun to be abandoned by farmers. Even though the poem was published in 1978, this condition has persisted to this day. Through Huma Yang Perih, it is hoped that we can reflect on the importance of human continuity at all times, so that humanity no longer underestimate the changing lifestyles rural people and their migration to cities. Artikel ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pandangan antroposentrisme sebagai cara etis untuk menuntaskan krisis ekologi. Krisis ekologi, patut dipandang sebagai bentuk kesalahan peran manusia dalam melampaui batas eskploitasi lingkungan sebagaimana diamanatkan dalam Islam. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan ruang edukasi sebagai satu solusi dan inovasi di bidang pembelajaran, seperti IPS. Satu inovasi yang dimaksudkan adalah pemanfaatan puisi sebagai sumber belajar IPS. Eksplorasi puisi dikhususkan dengan pemanfaatan nilai dari puisi lokal. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan makna yang relevan dengan konsep pembelajaran IPS berbasis nilai. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan puisi Huma Yang Perih yang menggambarkan kondisi pertanian di Kalimantan Selatan yang sudah mulai ditinggalkan petani. Meski puisi tersebut terbit tahun 1978, kondisi tersebut tetap bertahan hingga saat ini. Melalui Huma Yang Perih, diharapkan kita bisa merefleksikan betapa pentingnya kesinambungan manusia setiap saat. Sehingga masyarakat tidak lagi menganggap remeh untuk mengubah gaya hidup pedesaan dan bermigrasi ke perkotaan

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of information literacy on the preparedness of the people of Garut Regency in facing the threat of landslide. The data ini this study are the people of Garut Regency who have been affected by landslides based on the 2010 population census based on gender. The research method uses quantitative patterns in the form of surveys. The results showed that the magnitude of the impact of the ability to identify and find the location of information on public awareness in facing the threat of landslides by 38%. The impact of landslide information literacy can increase the preparedness of the people of Garut Regency by 57%. The conclusion is the impact of information literacy has a significant impact on the preparedness of the people of Garut Regency in facing the threat of landslides.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to provide counseling and training for residents in Sukamanah Village, Cigalontang District, Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java Province, to develop children’s social character through Sundanese cultural values. The method used is to give lectures related to the theory and continued with parenting training through Sundanese cultural values. The results of the evaluation of this activity can be concluded that there is an increase in knowledge, attitudes and skills about parenting through the value of Sundanese culture to develop the social character of children. All community members in the area are very enthusiastic and understand about methods to develop children’s social character through Sundanese cultural values after undergoing counseling and training. Counseling and training is carried out well because the majority of people in the place are Sundanese so they can easily apply what they have been trained.

Abstract

Abstact Learning is a process of interaction between students and educators and learning resources in a learning environment. After the pandemic, the change in teaching patterns from conventional learning to online learning became a demand for every educator around the world. Every educator needs mastery of technology, methods, and learning design to support online learning and educators must ensure that teaching and learning activities continue, even though students are at home. The solution is that educators are required to be able to operate gadgets to design learning media as innovations by utilizing online media. This service activity aims to provide knowledge as well as practice the use of applications in gadgets, namely Canva in online learning during the covid-19 pandemic at the Garut Regency PPKn MGMP to utilize gadgets for the manufacture of teaching materials and learning media. The solution is to organize a workshop. This activity was attended by several participants with a national scope consisting of lecturers, students, teachers and prospective teachers at all levels of education. This workshop is open to the public which is the focus of service, namely MGMP PPKn Garut Regency and all junior and senior high school teachers. The workshop was held in one day with material on introducing the use of applications in gadgets to improve the quality of teaching and learning and using gadgets as teaching materials or learning media to support learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results of this service activity are: 1) Participants are given theoretical and practical material about the Canva application, 2) Participants are involved in workshop activities as well as given training on how to use the Cana application and are guided by the presenters through zoom meeting interactions, 3) In the final session each participant submit the tasks given by the presenters at the workshop activities via email and video display of zoom meeting interactions, 4) The results of the google form distributed to the majority of participants understand and can practice using the Canva application for online learning and are able to operate their respective gadgets as learning media. Abstrak Pembelajaran merupakan proses interaksi peserta didik dengan pendidik dan sumber belajar pada suatu lingkungan belajar. Setelah terjadinya masa pandemi perubahan pola mengajar dari pembelajaran konvensional ke pembelajaran daring menjadi tuntutan untuk setiap pendidik diseluruh dunia. Setiap pendidik dibutuhkan penguasaan teknologi, metode, dan desain pembelajaran untuk menunjang pembelajaran daring dan pendidik harus memastikan kegiatan belajar mengajar tetap berjalan, meskipun peserta didik berada di rumah. Solusinya, pendidik dituntut untuk mampu mengoperasikan gadget untuk mendesain media pembelajaran sebagai inovasi dengan memanfatkan media daring (online). Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan sekaligus mempraktikan penggunaan aplikasi dalam gadget yaitu canva dalam pembelajaran Daring di masa pandemic covid-19 pada MGMP PPKn Kabupaten Garut guna memanfaatkan gadget untuk pembuatan bahan ajar dan media pembelajaran. Solusianya kami menyelenggarakan sebuah workshop, Kegiatan tersebut diikuti oleh beberapa peserta dengan ruang lingkup nasional yang terdiri dari dosen, mahasiswa, guru dan calon guru disemua jenjang Pendidikan. Workshop ini terbuka untuk umum yang menjadi fokus pengabdian yaitu MGMP PPKn Kabupaten Garut dan semua guru smp serta sma sederajat. Workshop tersebut dilaksankaan dalam satu hari dengan materi kegiatan pengenalan penggunaan aplikasi dalam gadget guna meningkatkan kualitas belajar mengajar dan memanfaatkan gadget sebagai bahan ajar atau media pembelajaran dalam menunjang pembelajaran pada masa pandemic covid-19. Adapun hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu: 1) Peserta diberikan materi teori dan praktik tentang aplikasi canva, 2) Peserta terlibat dalam kegiatan workshop sekaligus diberikan latihan cara penggunaan aplikasi cana dan dipandu oleh pemateri melalui interaksi zoom meeting, 3) Di sesi akhir setiap peserta menyetorkan tugas yang diberikan pemateri pada kegiatan workshop melalui email dan tampilan video interaksi zoom meeting, 4) Hasil google form yang disebar kepada peserta mayoritas memahami dan bisa mempraktikan penggunaan aplikasi canva untuk pembelajaran daring serta mampu mengoperasikan gadgetnya masing-masing sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Problems in learning activities and the impact on social studies learning outcomes are still unsatisfactory. This is because students are getting used to using digital media in carrying out various activities. However, teachers have not been able to innovate and take advantage of it, especially in learning to motivate students to be more active by using learning media and increasing social studies learning outcomes. This study aimed to determine the effect of using animated video-based learning media on motion graphics on social studies learning outcomes. This type of Research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method, and the research design is a non-equivalent control group design with pre-test and post-test. The population of this Research is the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Cisewu. The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique, namely the experimental and control classes. The instruments used in this study were in the form of tests and non-test. Based on the results of the statistical analysis of the initial ability between the experimental and control classes, there was no significant difference. As for the results of the final test, it can be seen that there is a difference between the experimental class and the control class. The control class has lower learning outcomes than the experimental class, which uses motion graphic animation video learning media with very high improvement categories. The use of motion graphic animation videos learning media also received a good response from students. This is evidenced by students' enthusiasm for ongoing learning, which impacts increasing social studies learning outcomes.

Abstract

The quality of learning is determined by learning activities. This study aims to determine the implementation of low-grade distance learning (PJJ) at SDN IV Samarang with the aim of maintaining the quality of learning, including: 1. To find out lesson plans; 2. To find out the implementation of learning; 3. To know the evaluation of learning. The benefit of this research is to add scientific insight and a clearer theoretical/conceptual framework regarding the implementation of distance learning with the aim of maintaining the quality of learning. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method with the type of document analysis research. The participants were low grade teachers, low grade students, and parents of low grade students. Data collection was carried out by analyzing documents, observations and interviews. Data analysis/processing is carried out by describing the state of the content/material, and looking for presentations on the quality of learning through the learning outcomes of low grade students in the form of pie charts in the implementation of distance learning. Based on the results of research that has been done by researchers, it can be concluded that: 1. The learning plan made before carrying out learning activities in PJJ is very good, this is evidenced by the learning plan that already fulfills the four elements that must exist in learning planning, namely; (1) there are goals to be achieved, (2) there are strategies to achieve goals, (3) resources that can support and, (4) implementation of each decision. 2. The implementation of distance learning, for the sake of the successful implementation of learning is quite good based on the learning components that have been implemented and are interrelated, namely: (1) teachers, (2) students, (3) learning materials, (4) learning methods, ( 5) learning media, and (6) learning evaluation. 3. Evaluation of distance learning is sufficient in its implementation involving the five principles of evaluation and their elements, namely schools, parents, the environment and society at large. As well as the learning outcomes shown by the value of 0-50, the percentage of Thematic, Mathematics, and B.Sunda scores obtained a percentage of 42%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi siswa terhadap kemampuan keterampilan mengajar mahasiswa PLP dalam pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 224 responden dari 7 SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Garut. Sampel yang menjadi objek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 8. Penarikan sampel dilakukan secara Stratified random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa PLP di kelas, menurut persepsi siswa: 1) Kemampuan keterampilan mengajarnya dalam pembelajaran IPS termasuk dalam kategori sedang; 2) Ketercapaian Indikator keterampilan mengajar yang paling tinggi adalah kemampuan mahasiswa dalam membuka pelajaran, diantaranya : menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran, menyampaikan manfaat materi yang akan dipelajari sebagai bentuk motivasi, dan melakukan apersepsi yaitu mengaitkan materi yang sudah dipelajari dengan materi yang akan dipelajari;  3) Kemampuan yang paling rendah adalah Kemampuan  memanfaatkan sumber belajar dan media, diantaranya saat mengajar kurang menggunakan media pembelajaran seperti gambar atau video dan hanya menggunakan buku paket saja, tidak menggunakan sumber belajar lainnya. Kata Kunci: Persepsi, Keterampilan Mengajar, Pembelajaran IPS

Abstract

Remaja adalah peralihan dari kanak-kanak menuju dewasa. Pada usia remaja seorang anak mengalami berbagai bentuk perubahan baik emosi, tubuh, minat dan pola pikir. Munculnya berbagai kasus kenakalan pada remaja, perlu adanya tindakan yang serius karena remaja merupakan asset bagi negara. Sekolah merupakan tempat bagi siswa mendapatkan pendidikan sekaligus bimbingan, maka disinilah guru berperan penting dalam pembentukan karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran guru IPS dalam mengatasi kenakalan remaja pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 4 Karangpawitan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi kegiatan. Hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut 1). Bentuk-bentuk kenakalan remaja, terdiri dari kenakalan biasa, Kenakalan mengarah pada pelanggaran Dan Kenakalan khusus seperti: tindakan asulia seperti menyenggol area sensitive wanita. 2) Peran guru IPS dalam mengatasi kenakalan remaja, terdapat tindakan preventif, Tindakan represif Dan Tindakan Kuratif seperti: melakukan kerjasama dengan pihak sekolah dan orangtua/wali siswa, dan melakukan homevisit kerumah siswa yang bermasalah. 3) Hambatan-hambatan guru dalam mengatasi kenakalan remaja dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dimana siswa kurang mengontrol emosi dan faktor eksternal dipengaruhi lingkungan keluarga dan masyarakat sekitar. 4) dampak peran guru IPS dalam mengatasi kenakalan remaja siswa, dimana siswa menjadi aktif dan percaya diri dan siswa dapat mengurangi kenakalannya. Kata Kunci: Peran Guru, Kenakalan Remaja, Siswa kelas VIII.
