Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of instilling diversity values in shaping the moral awareness of students in the midst of multicultural societal conditions. The purpose of this study is to determine the success of the application of Pupuh Sunda ethnopedagogy in increasing moral awareness of diversity values in grade IX C students at SMPN 1 Tarogong Kidul. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method with the Kemmis and McTaggart models. The data collection technique is carried out by observation techniques, and test techniques. After the data is obtained, it is analyzed and reflected using the percentage technique. The results of the study show that: 1) Teachers experienced an increase in their ability to design lesson plans in the first cycle reaching a score of 2.50, the second cycle reaching a score of 3.18, and the third cycle reaching a score of 3.77. 2) There is an increase in the moral feeling of diversity of students, the number of students who have not increased (BM) in cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III does not exist. The number of students who began to increase (MM) in the first cycle was 5 children (13.8%), the second cycle there were 15 children (41.6%), and the third cycle there were 19 children (52.7%). The number of children greatly increased (SM) in the first cycle there were 7 children (19.4%), the second cycle there were 12 children (33.3%) and the third cycle there were 18 children (50%). This proves that the application of Pupuh Sunda Ethnopedagogy in PPKn learning can significantly increase the moral feeling of diversity of students.

Abstract

The activeness of students in PPKn learning in class IX C SMPN 5 Tarogong Kidul is still low, shown by the lack of participation in discussions, asking questions, and dominance of lecture methods. This research aims to increase student activity through a cooperative learning model of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type. The research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach with the DDAER model, carried out in two cycles. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The activity of students increased from 33.3% in the pre-cycle to 54.2% in the first cycle, and 87.5% in the second cycle. Improvements occurred in all indicators, especially in questioning, discussion, and group cooperation. The implementation of STAD by teachers also increased from 83.3% to 100%. The application of the STAD model is consistently effective in increasing students' activeness in PPKn learning, both individually and in groups.

Abstract

Abstract: Media Literacy and The Prevention of Fake News among Students. Objectives: The spread of hoax news among university students is a problem that needs attention with the increasing use of social media and easy access to information. This study aims to evaluate the extent to which media literacy skills influence media consumption habits, knowledge and awareness, skills and practices, attitudes and beliefs, as well as behavior and engagement in preventing hoax news among students of the Social Science Education IPI Garut. Methods: The research method used is a survey method. The approach taken is a correlational quantitative approach, which allows for measuring the strength of the relationships between these variables. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires online via Google Forms. A sample of 123 active students from the Social Science Education Program at IPI Garut participated as respondents in this study, selected using a proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire distributed to students online. The data were analyzed using SPSS. Findings: The results of the study show a significant relationship between media literacy skills and the prevention of hoax news among students. Conclusion: It was found that the correlation in media consumption habits at 0.297, which falls into the low category, in knowledge and awareness at 0.510, which falls into the medium category, in skills and practices at 0.523, which falls into the medium category, in attitudes and beliefs at 0.658, which falls into the strong category, and in behavior and engagement at 0.688, which falls into the strong category. Keywords: media literacy, preventing hoax news, students.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v14.i1.202443

Abstract

The use of Learning Media-Based Augmented Reality (AR) to Improving Integrated Science And Social Studies Literacy. This study aimed to explore the use of learning media-based Augmented Reality to enhance integrated science and social studies literacy in primary school. AR-based learning media was integrated into the IPAS subject. The participants in this study were 48 fifth-grade students from elementary schools, divided into experimental (24 students) and control groups (24 students). Each class employed a cooperative learning approach, with students in the experimental groups engaged in using AR-based learning media to support their learning process. The research method used was non-equivalent pretest-posttest design. The instruments used to test literacy skills (both pretest and posttest) consisted of 5 items. The results indicate a significant difference in the enhancement of students’ literacy skills in the experimental groups compared to the control group. Abstract

Untuk mengatasi menurunnya fokus peserta didik selama pembelajaran di kelas serta meningkatkan partisipasi aktif peserta didik maka guru dapat menerapkan ice breaking sebagai metode pembelajaran yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh ice breaking dalam meningkatkan partisipasi aktif peserta didik dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di SMPN 6 Garut. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX-G berjumlah 34 orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas Hopkins. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa setelah menerapkan ice breaking peserta didik menjadi lebih percaya diri untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Hal tersebut dipengaruhi oleh efektivitas penerapan ice breaking dalam pembelajaran di kelas menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhuan dan karakteristik peserta didik.

Abstract

Metode pembelajaran merupakan salah satu faktor penting terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran hal ini didasarkan pada pemenuhan kebutuhan peserta didik dengan berbagai karakteristik tertentu sehingga membutuhkan variasi terhadap pemilihan metode pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil temuan pelaksanaan karakter tanggung pada peserta didik di kelas VIII-F SMP Negeri 5 Garut masih memiliki persentase yang rendah. Hal ini pula yang melandasi adanya urgensi terhadap penerapan metode pembelajaran yang dapat memberikan keberpihakan kepada peserta didik yaitu dengan menggunakan metode permainan edukatif. Tujuan penelitan ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak pada penerapan metode permainan edukatif pada mata pelajaran pendidikan pancasila terhadap pengembangan karakter tanggung jawab peserta didik. Penelitian  dilaksanakan menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas yang diaplikasikan kepada kegiatan pembelajaran untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran. Sehingga praktek pembelajaran dapat memperoleh efektifitas terhadap penerapan metode pembelajaran berbasis permainan edukatif pada mata pelajaran pendidikan pancasila sebagai upaya menelaah pengembangan karakter tanggung jawab dari peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil observasi penelitian pada siklus 1 dan siklus 2 memperoleh kenaikan pada total skor dari indikator pelaksanaan tanggung jawab di kelas VIII-F SMP Negeri 5 Garut sebanyak 42,07%. Dengan hasil tersebut menunjukan peran metode permainan edukatif terbukti efektif dalam mengembangkan karakter tanggung jawab tehadap pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran pendidikan pancasila Penerapan metode permainan edukatif mendorong perkembangan karakter tanggung jawab dari peserta didik dengan pelaksanaan variasi metode pembelajaran, visualiasi media pembelajaran yang menarik serta tingkat kompetensi guru yang mendukung pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas VIII-F SMP Negeri 5 Garut.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of social studies teachers in developing social skills of students at SMPN 1 Bungbulang. This study is a qualitative study using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection through observation, interviews. The research problem presented is how the application of social skills of students at SMPN 1 Bungbulang, what social skills have been applied and have not been applied, then what efforts are made to develop social skills in students and what inhibiting factors are faced by teachers in developing social skills of students. The results of this study indicate that the application of social skills to students at SMPN 1 Bungbulang partly produces effectiveness and also ineffectiveness. Social skills that have been applied are with presentations, making handicrafts, and infographics and others while the inhibiting factors faced by teachers are the character of students originating from the students themselves such as laziness and shyness, also originating from outside such as lack of self-control towards friends and class situations as well as teachers who do not apply the latest learning methods appropriately. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran guru ips dalam menumbuhkan keterampilan sosial peserta didik di SMPN 1 Bungbulang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif . Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara. Masalah penelitian yang dikemukakan adalah bagaimana penerapan keterampilan sosial peserta didik di SMPN 1 Bungbulang, apa saja keterampilan sosial yang sudah diterapkan dan belum diterapkan, kemudian upaya apa yang dilakukan untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan sosial pada peserta didiknya dan faktor penghambat apa saja yang dihadapi guru dalam menumbuhkan keterampilan sosial peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan keterampilan sosial pada peserta didik di SMPN 1 Bungbulang sebagian menghasilkan keefektifan dan juga ketidakefektifan. Keterampilan sosial yang sudah diterapkan yaitu dengan persentasi, pembuatan karya tangan, dan infografis dan lainnya sedangkan faktor penghambat yang dihadapi guru yaitu karakter peserta didik yang berasal dari diri siswa tersebut seperti malas dan malu, juga berasal dari luar seperti kurangnya kontrol diri terhadap teman dan situasi kelas juga guru yang kurang menerapkan metode pembelajaran terbarukan dengan tepat.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of TikTok use on students' social behavior using a quantitative approach and survey method. The research instrument, a questionnaire, was distributed to students who are active TikTok users. Descriptive analysis shows that TikTok has become part of students' digital routines, used both for entertainment and as a source of information. This platform also encourages creativity, expands social interactions, and makes it easier for students to connect with communities with similar interests. However, the study also found negative impacts such as changes in communication styles, increased imitation of certain trends, disruptions in learning time management, and a tendency to compare themselves with other creators. The research findings indicate that although TikTok appears to influence social behavior descriptively, this influence is not strong enough to be considered statistically significant. Thus, students' social behavior is more influenced by other factors such as family environment, social experiences, and individual character. This study concludes that TikTok has a non-uniform and non-dominant influence on students' social behavior. Therefore, digital literacy efforts and adequate mentoring are needed so that students can utilize TikTok positively and avoid negative impacts that could potentially affect their social and academic development.

Abstract

Attitude is how a person responds or reacts in responding to something. Attitude is used as a benchmark for human behavior in everyday life. The factors that influence a person's attitude are environmental factors and a person's beliefs. This is what sometimes determines a person's attitude in everyday life. Attitudes will only exist. if someone instills good behavior, both verbal behavior and one's deeds and behavior. This research aims to examine efforts to implement social attitudes to shape student character in the classroom. The problem raised is that the importance of character education cannot be separated from the emergence of several current social phenomena, which are shown by characterless behavior and the presence of symptoms that indicate its erosion. a nation. This research uses a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive study method, data collection techniques including observation, interviews and documentation through the media. The results of this research, the teacher has provided an example to students regarding the implementation of social attitudes to shape the character of class VIII students at SMPN 4 Tarogong Kidul where the students have succeeded in forming characters such as honest, responsible and tolerant. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji upaya implementasi sikap sosial untuk membentuk karakter siswa di kelas.masalah yang di kemukakan adalah hal pentingnya pendidikan karakter tidak lepas dari munculnya beberapa fenomena sosial saat ini, yang di tunjukan dengan perilaku yang tidak berkarakter serta adanya gejala - gejala yang menandakan tergerusnya sebuah bangsa. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode setudi deskriptif kualitatif tenknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi,wawancara dan dokumentasi  melalui media. Hasil dari penelitian ini guru telah memberikan contoh kepada siswa terkait Implementasisikap sosial untuk membentuk karakter siswa kelas VIII SMPN 4 Tarogong Kidul yang diamana para siswa sudah berhasil dalam pembentukan karater seperti jujur,bertanggung jawab dan sikap toleransi.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a very high level of religious, ethnic, cultural, linguistic, and customary diversity, which is both a strength and a challenge in the life of the nation and state, especially when various phenomena of intolerance, hate speech, and religious-based conflicts are still encountered, indicating that the values of tolerance and respect for differences have not been fully internalized in society. Therefore, religious moderation is an important concept to be developed as an effort to maintain social harmony amidst the nation's plurality. Education is seen as a strategic instrument in strengthening religious moderation and fostering an attitude of tolerance because it not only functions as a means of transferring knowledge, but also plays a role in shaping the character, attitudes, and perspectives of students so that they have an inclusive and moderate religious understanding. This study aims to examine the role of education in strengthening religious moderation and fostering an attitude of tolerance amidst the diversity of Indonesian society using a qualitative approach through a literature study of relevant national and international academic books and scientific journal articles, especially those published in the last ten years. Data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis techniques to identify the main concepts, ideas, and findings of experts. The results of the study indicate that education has a strategic role in internalizing the value of religious moderation through the development of an inclusive curriculum, the application of dialogic and participatory learning methods, the role model of educators, and the creation of a school culture that respects diversity, where multicultural-based education has proven effective in strengthening attitudes of tolerance and awareness of peaceful coexistence, although its implementation still faces challenges in the form of narrow religious understanding, limited integration of the value of moderation in the curriculum, and the negative influence of social media, so that strengthening religious moderation through education needs to be carried out comprehensively and sustainably in order to form a tolerant, just, and civilized generation in a pluralistic Indonesian society.ABSTRAKIndonesia merupakan negara dengan tingkat keberagaman agama, suku, budaya, bahasa, dan adat istiadat yang sangat tinggi, yang menjadi kekuatan sekaligus tantangan dalam kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara, terutama ketika masih dijumpai berbagai fenomena intoleransi, ujaran kebencian, dan konflik berbasis agama yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai toleransi dan penghargaan terhadap perbedaan belum sepenuhnya terinternalisasi dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, moderasi beragama menjadi konsep penting untuk dikembangkan sebagai upaya menjaga keharmonisan sosial di tengah pluralitas bangsa. Pendidikan dipandang sebagai instrumen strategis dalam menguatkan moderasi beragama dan menumbuhkan sikap toleransi karena tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana transfer pengetahuan, tetapi juga berperan dalam pembentukan karakter, sikap, dan cara pandang peserta didik agar memiliki pemahaman keagamaan yang inklusif dan moderat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran pendidikan dalam menguatkan moderasi beragama dan menumbuhkan sikap toleransi di tengah keberagaman masyarakat Indonesia dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi literatur terhadap buku akademik dan artikel jurnal ilmiah nasional maupun internasional yang relevan, khususnya yang terbit dalam sepuluh tahun terakhir. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis isi (content analysis) secara kualitatif untuk mengidentifikasi konsep, gagasan, dan temuan utama para ahli. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan memiliki peran strategis dalam menginternalisasikan nilai moderasi beragama melalui pengembangan kurikulum yang inklusif, penerapan metode pembelajaran yang dialogis dan partisipatif, keteladanan pendidik, serta penciptaan budaya sekolah yang menghargai keberagaman, di mana pendidikan berbasis multikultural terbukti efektif dalam memperkuat sikap toleransi dan kesadaran hidup berdampingan secara damai, meskipun implementasinya masih menghadapi tantangan berupa pemahaman keagamaan yang sempit, keterbatasan integrasi nilai moderasi dalam kurikulum, serta pengaruh negatif media sosial, sehingga penguatan moderasi beragama melalui pendidikan perlu dilakukan secara komprehensif dan berkelanjutan guna membentuk generasi yang toleran, adil, dan berkeadaban dalam masyarakat Indonesia yang majemuk.
