Abstract

Divorce transforms an individual into a single parent, prompting them to place their children in Islamic boarding schools for enhanced supervision. The repercussions of divorce on adolescents are substantial, particularly for those in boarding schools. These adolescents often grapple with heightened academic stress, attributable to rigorous learning demands and a lack of parental support, resulting in diminished psychological well-being. This study endeavors to implement resilience training as a pilot intervention, aiming to alleviate academic stress and enhance the psychological well-being of adolescents in boarding schools with divorced parents. The research design adopts a non-randomized pretest-posttest control group format, encompassing 30 adolescents. The evaluation tools employed include the ESSSA educational stress scale for adolescents (16 items), a psychological well-being assessment (42 items), and a resilience measurement (19 items). Utilizing independent t-tests and paired t-tests, the findings indicate a noteworthy reduction in academic stress (p=.000) and a concurrent improvement in psychological well-being (p=.000).

Abstract

In the government sector, public services are part of the duties of the state apparatus to provide services to the community and loyalty to the state. The quality of government public services is a very important factor in public satisfaction. Employees who have a good work-life balance will provide quality services to the community. Work life balance in employees is influenced by job satisfaction including relationships with colleagues and leaders. Dissatisfaction felt by employees will lead to poor service quality. However, it is not yet known how work-life balance affects service quality. This study aims to examine the effect of work-life balance on employee service quality, through the mediation of job satisfaction. This explanatory quantitative research involved 262 employees in Langkat Regency. Data analysis using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) operated through the SmartPLS program. The results show that job satisfaction mediates the effect of work life balance on employee service quality. The results of this study contribute to the problem of low employee service quality which is influenced by work life balance and mediated by job satisfaction.

Abstract

Nowadays, anxiety about speaking in public is a problem for many teenagers, especially students. Public speaking anxiety is certainly influenced by many factors. This research aims to analyze and see the influence between self-efficacy and interpersonal communication and public speaking anxiety. This research is included in causal associative quantitative research. The sample for this research was 298 students from SMA N 1 Kuala. Research data was collected using a research scale that was declared valid and reliable. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that (1) The self-efficacy variable has a significant influence on public speaking anxiety which has a negative value, because based on the results of the t test, a significant level of 0.002 <0.05 is obtained. And the calculated t value > t table in One-Tailed, namely 10.152 > 2.05. With a coefficient value of 0.571, it means that if self-efficacy is within one unit, it will cause a decrease in students' public speaking anxiety. (2) The interpersonal communication variable in public has a significant influence on public speaking anxiety and has a positive value. Based on the results of the t test, a significant level of 0.03 < 0.05 was obtained and the calculated t value > t table was 2.125 > 2.05 in the Two-Tailed test. With a coefficient value of 0.404, it means that if interpersonal communication increases by one unit, it will lead to a decrease in students' public speaking anxiety. (3) Self-efficacy and interpersonal communication variables have a significant influence simultaneously on public speaking anxiety. Based on the results of the f test, a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 was obtained and the calculated f value was 74.719 > f table of 4,013. So this proves that simultaneously the three independent variables have a significant influence on students' public speaking anxiety.

Abstract

Understanding the psychological mechanisms that enhance job satisfaction remains a critical issue, particularly in organizational contexts characterized by high interpersonal demands. Forgiveness at work has been increasingly recognized as a positive psychological resource that may foster healthier work relationships; however, its underlying mechanism in shaping job satisfaction remains underexplored. This study aims to examine the mediating role of work engagement in the relationship between forgiveness at work and job satisfaction. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 456 permanent employees of a private organization in Indonesia and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS. The findings indicate that forgiveness at work has a significant indirect effect on job satisfaction through work engagement, demonstrating a meaningful mediation relationship. These results suggest that forgiveness contributes to job satisfaction primarily by strengthening employees’ emotional and cognitive attachment to their work. The study provides theoretical insight by clarifying the psychological pathway linking forgiveness and job satisfaction, and offers practical implications for organizations seeking to enhance employee well-being through relational and engagement-based interventions.

Abstract

High levels of turnover intention remain a critical issue in organizations, yet existing studies have predominantly focused on workplace factors while overlooking the role of family-based resources. Drawing on the Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) framework, this study addresses this gap by examining family support as an external resource and its influence on turnover intention through job satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between family support and turnover intention among employees. A quantitative explanatory design was employed with a sample of 456 employees of PT. XYZ, selected using a proportional sampling technique. Data were collected through validated and reliable questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that family support has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction and a significant negative effect on turnover intention. Job satisfaction also shows a significant negative effect on turnover intention and partially mediates the relationship between family support and turnover intention. These findings demonstrate that family support not only directly reduces employees’ intention to leave but also indirectly influences it by enhancing job satisfaction. Theoretically, this study extends the JD-R framework by integrating family support as an external resource that contributes to employee retention mechanisms. Practically, the findings emphasize the importance of incorporating family-supportive policies to strengthen job satisfaction and reduce turnover intention, thereby promoting organizational sustainability.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of app-based transportation services in Indonesia has intensified competition and increased customer switching, making loyalty a critical challenge for market leaders such as Gojek. This study investigates how perceived value influences customer loyalty and examines the mediating role of customer satisfaction among Gojek users in Medan City. A quantitative explanatory design was employed using an online survey administered from 6–20 November 2025. Data were collected from 375 respondents selected through purposive sampling and analyzed using PLS-SEM (SmartPLS). The findings show that perceived value positively and significantly affects customer loyalty (? = 0.350; p < 0.001) and strongly predicts customer satisfaction (? = 0.691; p < 0.001). Customer satisfaction also has a significant positive effect on loyalty (? = 0.553; p < 0.001). Mediation analysis confirms that customer satisfaction significantly mediates the relationship between perceived value and loyalty (?_indirect = 0.382; p < 0.001), indicating that the value–loyalty link is predominantly realized through satisfaction. The study reinforces the value–satisfaction–loyalty chain in digital service contexts and highlights that strengthening multidimensional perceived value—especially experiential and emotional components—can enhance satisfaction and sustain customer loyalty in highly competitive online transportation markets.
