Abstract

This research is quantitative research with experimental research methods. This study is focused on knowing the effectiveness of the use of the Role Playing learning method in increasing the confidence of class VI students in social studies learning. The problem behind this research is that in the implementation of learning the teacher still uses conventional learning methods and not only that, actually the teacher has also used various learning models such as discussion models. However, in practice, the teacher does not follow the procedure which makes it look like a normaldiscussion. Thus, the lack of interaction between teachers and students results in students becoming bored and not understanding the material being taught. The subjects in this study were class VI A and VI B. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire distributed during the posttest and pretest, which consisted of 20 statements. If seen from the results of the t-test calculation with asignificant value is 0.000 <0.05, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a difference between the experimental pretest and posttest experimental learning outcomes, the researcher concludes that the role-playing learning method is effective in increasing students' self-confidence in social studies learning.

Abstract

Many influences as it happens, including lack of interest or lack of pleasure students in learning mathematics, students are less active in the learning process takes place sometimesteachers just explain the material is not interesting and just monotonous. This bias is because at the time of learning the material given is only monotonous should be by using or utilizingexisting media so that students are less active in learning, lack of teachers in mastery of thematerial so that the learning process is less interesting and this becomes one of the mainproblems that cause a lack of interest in students in the learning process Mathematics lastsand causes low and causes students to have difficulty in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Art education plays a vital role in fostering students’ creativity and innovation.However, its implementation in elementary schools remains suboptimal, particularly in integrating global and local contexts. This study aims to describe the implementation of art education in fostering creativity and innovation among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 196 Palembang. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that art instruction has been implemented effectively and aligns with the student-centered merdeka Curriculum. Student creativity is evident in their works, which demonstrate variations in color, form, and ideas. However, the aspects of innovation and integration of global contexts remain suboptimal due to limitations in media and teaching methods. In conclusion, art education contributes to enhancing students’creativity and innovation; however, there is a need to strengthen the integration of global contexts and develop more innovative teaching strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the show and tell method on the punlic speaking skills of fourth-grade students. This stidy used a quantitative method with a Quasi-Experimental type wwith a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study population was all fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 143 Palembang. The sample consisted of 60 students from class IVC as the control class and class IVD as the experimental class. Random sampling was used as the sample selection technique. Data collection techniques in this study showed a significant increase in the experimental class, with an average pretest score of 53.27 and a posttest score of 75.80, while the control class had a pretest score of 49.53 and posttest score of 60.83. the t-test calculation obtained a significant value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, thus Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Thus, there was a significant difference in learning outcomes between before and after the use of the show and tell method. This method can improve stidents self-confidence, speaking fluency, and ability to express opinions orally.
