Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of observations found in elementary schools that there has been no development of instructional media using the Macromedia Flash 8 application to improve initial reading skills in integrated thematic learning in grade II SD. This research is a Research & Development research with the ADDIE development model with the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The results showed that: (1) the results of the validation test of learning media as a whole by three validators, namely aspects of material, language and media obtained with a very valid category, (2) the results of the practicality test of learning media by teachers and students in the very practical category, and (3) the results of the initial reading in the Very Good category. With cognitive levels adjusted to low class levels between C1, C2, and C3. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the learning media using the Macromedia Flash 8 application are valid and practical to use in integrated thematic learning in class II elementary school.

Abstract

Development research was carried out against the background of the unavailability of learning media for flat and wide roving material by utilizing the Storyline 3 articulate application which can help students understand the concept of perimeter and flat area effectively. The research aims to create reliable and useful media based on the ADDIE approach carried out in grade IV SDN 12 Bukit Cangang and SDN 01 Benteng Pasar Atas. Data collection was carried out through validity sheets and response questionnaire sheets consisting of teacher and student responses using Likert scales. The learning media developed obtained validity test results with very valid categories and practical test results with very practical categories. As a result, the Articulate Storyline 3 application-based learning media developed has been considered feasible and valid for educational purposes. Students are very enthusiastic about using digital learning media because they are curious and enjoy playing with learning media. Problem-based learning has an impact on students because they become active and self-directed in solving problems immediately. So it becomes a unique experience for students.

Abstract

The dismal academic performance of today's pupils is a driving force behind this study. With the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) Cooperative Learning Model as its basis, this research seeks to enhance the effectiveness of integrated thematic learning. Using both qualitative and quantitative methods, this study was a classroom action research (PTK). Two cycles of planning, carrying out, observing, and reflecting. This research included 13 fourth-graders and their instructors. There was an improvement from the first cycle's 84.71% (excellent) to the second cycle's 94.44% (Very excellent) in most facets of the lesson plans. Teachers' engagement in cycle I was generally favourable at 83.92% (Good), and it improved to a very satisfying 92.85% (Excellent) in cycle II. Students in Cycle I scored an average of 78.58% on the activity component, which improved to an impressive 92.85% in Cycle II. The average learning outcome of students in cycle I, which was 67.40 (Enough), improved to 85.14 (Good) in cycle II. These results suggest that SD Negeri 87 Bengkulu Selatan's fourth graders may benefit from adopting the TPS cooperative learning model. The benefit for students is increasing learning outcomes, while for teachers it is being able to create an active and innovative learning environment, creating students who are independent and able to work together which leads to the achievement of learning objectives.

Abstract

This research was conducted due to the lack of optimal use of instructional media in elementary mathematics. The purpose of the research is to make learning media and assess the usefulness and validity of the resulting media. Media Smart Apps Creator is used in grade IV elementary school mathematics for multiplication and division of decimal numbers. Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model is this type of research. The steps of the research process in the ADDIE model include analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Learning media is validated by a team of experts assessing educational materials by completing surveys including responses from teachers and students. The results of the material, media and language expert validation questionnaire on learning media with a very valid category score of 93,21%. Based on the teacher’s questionnaire at the research school, namely 98,33% and student responses, namely 95,04%, got a high score. Thus the Smart Apps Creator learning media in mathematics is able to help students in learning.
