Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of price perception and promotion on purchasing decisions of contact lenses at Diens Optik Purwakarta. The optical business faces intense competition, necessitating effective strategies to attract and retain consumers. Price perception and promotional strategies play crucial roles in consumer purchase decisions. Diens Optik Purwakarta utilizes various promotional techniques, including shopkeeper and door-to-door approaches, alongside a 10% discount on purchasing three products as a retention strategy. Despite these efforts, recent months have seen a decline in consumer numbers. Using a quantitative approach under positivism philosophy, the study gathered data from 97 respondents through incidental sampling. Validity tests were conducted using the product-moment correlation coefficient method. Results indicated high validity for all items related to price perception and promotion. Statistical analysis revealed significant positive influences of both price perception and promotion on purchasing decisions

Abstract

Nevirapine, a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI), is a crucial component of antiretroviral therapy (ART) in HIV management. However, nevirapine carries a rare but potentially life-threatening risk of Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS). We reported a case of severe cutaneous manifestations of extensive necrolysis in an HIV-positive patient on the ARV nevirapine. This case highlights the importance of recognizing nevirapine-induced SJS, particularly in the early stages, to ensure prompt discontinuation of the drug and initiation of appropriate supportive care. Clinicians managing HIV patients on nevirapine-based ART should remain vigilant for early signs of SJS and maintain a high index of suspicion.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of digital leadership in enhancing organizational agility through employee competence in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Purwakarta, Indonesia. Drawing on the Dynamic Capability Theory, the research employs a qualitative approach with eight key informants from various MSMEs. Findings reveal that digital leadership is pivotal in promoting a culture of learning, autonomy, and innovation, thereby fostering employee competence. Competence, in turn, mediates the relationship between leadership and agility by enabling employees to respond quickly and effectively to market and operational shifts. The study identifies both formal and informal mechanisms of competence development, emphasizing the importance of leadership-driven learning in resource-constrained environments. Moreover, the results highlight how decentralized structures and open communication contribute to agility by enhancing coordination and responsiveness. The findings contribute to a multilevel understanding of how individual behaviors, team dynamics, and strategic leadership coalesce to build organizational agility. Practical implications include the need for targeted leadership development and alignment of HR practices with digital transformation strategies. Limitations include a small sample size and the absence of sectoral comparisons, which future studies should address through broader and more diversified designs. Ultimately, the study underscores the importance of leadership and human capital as interconnected enablers of agility in MSMEs navigating digital disruption.

Abstract

This research discusses the criminal law perspective on social media advertisements that lead to gambling and illegal activities in Indonesia. The development of information and communication technology has facilitated the spread of illegal advertisements, including online gambling, through social media platforms. Although gambling is prohibited under Article 303 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP) and Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE), this practice remains prevalent with increasingly sophisticated marketing strategies, such as the use of influencers and referral codes. This research employs a normative juridical method to analyze the effectiveness of existing regulations, challenges in law enforcement, and effective criminal liability models. The findings indicate that while regulations provide a strong legal foundation, their implementation faces obstacles, such as difficulties in identifying perpetrators, low legal awareness among the public, and limited law enforcement resources. Therefore, this research recommends regulatory revisions, enhanced law enforcement capacity, and public education to more effectively address this phenomenon
