Abstract

Cultivation activities carried out by the community in several villages in Tonra District are growing, encouraging marketing activities that involve several business actors in the seaweed commodity marketing chain. Business actors in the supply chain have competition in facing the level of cost efficiency of the supply chain that is established in the fishery business, especially seaweed commodities. The lack of efficiency in seaweed supply chain management established in Bone Regency has resulted in volatile prices and not having a standard sales price. The supply chain study in Bone Regency can provide an overview of the established chains and forms of cooperation in seaweed sales. This study aims to examine the supply chain of kappaphycus alvarezii seaweed commodity in Bone Regency. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research. The data retrieval technique uses snowball sampling technique and purposive sampling technique. Qualitative data analysis methods include; data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that business actors involved in the seaweed supply chain in Bone Regency include; producers, collecting merchants, wholesalers and exporters. The flow of products, financial flows and the flow of seaweed information are intertwined in two directions between each business actor who carries out the buying and selling process and the delivery of information related to the selling price of seaweed.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menjadi sebuah sarana untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai Bahan Tambahan Pangan (BTP) melalui pendekatan edukasi partisipatif pada pembuatan produk sirup jeruk siam. Bahan Tambahan Pangan (BTP) merupakan komponen penting dalam proses pengolahan pangan yang berfungsi memperbaiki mutu, cita rasa dan daya simpan produk. Akan tetapi, masih banyak masyarakat yang belum memahami jenis, fungsi serta batas aman penggunaannya sehingga menjadi permasalahan yang serius. Metode yang diguankan pada pengabdian masyarakat ini ialah Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) dengan beberapa tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap perizinan, tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian dan tahap evaluasi dengan memberikan post test setelah melaksanakan kegiatan. Penyajian dari pengabdian ini meliputi kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan kegiatan, sedangkan kuantitatif menjelaskan secara numerik. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini ialah terjadi peningkatan signifikan pada nilai pre test dan post test, yaitu dengan nilai masing-masing 71,82% dan 91,36%. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan dampak peningkatan pengetahuan terkait Bahan Tambahan Pangan (BTP) setelah dilakukan sosialisasi.

Abstract

Fish consumption plays an essential role in fulfilling the nutritional needs of school-aged children, as fish contains high-quality protein, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals that support physical growth and cognitive development. However, children’s low awareness of the nutritional benefits of fish contributes to the low level of fish consumption. This community service activity aimed to increase students' knowledge at State Elementary School 3 Jirak regarding the nutritional content and health benefits of fish. The methods used included interactive lectures, educational videos, discussions, and educational games, supported by pre-test and post-test assessments to measure knowledge improvement. The activity was attended by 23 fifth-grade students. The results showed a significant increase in the average score from 76 on the pre-test to 99 on the post-test, categorized as “Very Good.” Students also demonstrated active participation during the activity, as indicated by their enthusiasm in discussions and educational games. These findings indicate that visual and interactive-based nutrition education is effective in enhancing children's knowledge about the nutritional benefits of fish. This activity is expected to encourage healthier fish consumption habits among students.

Abstract

Desa Penjajap memiliki potensi perikanan tangkap yang besar, di mana sebagian hasil tangkapan diolah menjadi ikan asin oleh Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUB) Mina Sejahtera. Namun, proses pengeringan ikan yang masih tradisional menghadapi kendala efisiensi, terutama saat musim hujan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas produksi ikan asin yang higienis melalui penerapan alat pengering berbasis panel surya serta memperkuat kapasitas pemasaran digital berbasis e-commerce. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan melibatkan masyarakat secara aktif dalam identifikasi masalah, perencanaan, dan pelaksanaan solusi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peserta mampu memahami dan mengoperasikan alat pengering serta peningkatan pemahaman tentang pemasaran ikan asin berbasis e-commerce sebesar 26,9%. Program ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat pesisir dan mendorong penerapan teknologi energi terbarukan yang berkelanjutan.
