Abstract

Character education has become a critical imperative in 21st-century learning, particularly at the junior high school level where students undergo pivotal developmental phases. Despite the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and animation technologies to enhance character education, significant implementation challenges persist in Indonesian educational contexts, with limited research examining stakeholder needs for AI-based learning media incorporating Pancasila Student Profile characteristics. This descriptive quantitative study within a research and development framework analyzed needs for developing AI-based animated video learning media at SMP Negeri 6 Sungai Keruh. Data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to 28 seventh-grade students and 8 teachers, examining pedagogical, technical, cognitive, aesthetic, and evaluative dimensions. Descriptive statistical analysis was employed to identify dominant patterns and stakeholder preferences using Guttman scaling principles. Student analysis revealed strong preferences for audiovisual learning modalities (85.5% enhanced information absorption through visual-audio combinations) and aesthetic design elements (85.5% increased motivation through attractive design). Technical accessibility showed 78.5% adequate device access, while 80.0% recognized evaluation mechanisms' importance. Teacher analysis demonstrated pedagogical readiness with 85.5% recognizing animation effectiveness and universal technical infrastructure support (100.0% internet connectivity), though 64.5% required additional professional development for optimal implementation. Findings demonstrate substantial stakeholder readiness for AI-based animated learning media development while identifying specific support areas. Results align with theoretical frameworks supporting animation's cognitive processing advantages and provide empirical evidence extending existing Pancasila Student Profile-based media research from elementary to secondary contexts. The convergence of theoretical frameworks, empirical evidence, and stakeholder needs establishes robust foundation for subsequent development phases, contributing to advancing character education through innovative technological integration.

Abstract

Karier merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam kehidupan mahasiswa yang akan menentukan arah masa depan mereka setelah menyelesaikan studi. Preferensi karier mahasiswa menjadi indikator dalam melihat kecenderungan pilihan dunia kerja yang dianggap sesuai dengan minat, kompetensi, serta peluang yang tersedia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui preferensi karier mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Masyarakat Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Masyarakat Universitas Sriwijaya dengan populasi sebanyak 137 mahasiswa akhir. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sektor PNS/PPPK menjadi pilihan karier yang paling banyak diminati mahasiswa dengan persentase 38%, diikuti oleh LSM/NGO sebesar 26%, wirausaha sosial sebesar 22%, dan tutor/instruktur pendidikan nonformal sebesar 14%. Kesimpulannya, mahasiswa lebih cenderung memilih jalur karier yang menawarkan stabilitas maupun peluang kemandirian ekonomi, sementara sektor pendidikan nonformal kurang diminati karena masih rendahnya persepsi terhadap kestabilan karier dan kesejahteraan finansial.

Abstract

Pendidikan komparatif merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang digunakan untuk menganalisis perbedaan dan persamaan antara dua atau lebih sistem pendidikan di berbagai negara, dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan sistem pendidikan dasar yang ada di Indonesia dan pendidikan dasar yang ada di Uruguay. Fokus utama di dalam penelitian ini adalah dari segi pendekatan pedagogis, metode pengajaran, evaluasi efektivitas, keterlibatan siswa, penggunaan teknologi, dan tantangan yang dialami antara pendidikan dasar di Indonesia dan pendidikan dasar di Uruguay. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Uruguay memiliki sistem pendidikan yang lebih maju dalam hal penggunaan teknologi, keterlibatan siswa, dan evaluasi efektivitas pengajaran. Sedangkan Indonesia sedang berupaya dalam meningkatkan kualitas melalui kurikulum merdeka, namun masih mengalami beberapa tantangan dalam pelaksanaannya. Kesimpulannya, Indonesia dapat belajar dari praktik baik Uruguay untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikannya, terutama dalam konteks pengintegrasian teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat menjadi rujukan untuk mengidentifikasi peluang perbaikan pada siswa pendidikan dasar di Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan sistem pendidikan Indonesia dan Singapura, dengan fokus pada kurikulum, reformasi pendidikan, dan permasalahan utama. Menggunakan metode studi pustaka, data dikumpulkan dari jurnal, buku, dan media daring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Singapura memiliki sistem pendidikan yang lebih terstruktur, berstandar tinggi, dan berorientasi pada inovasi teknologi, sementara Indonesia sedang berupaya meningkatkan fleksibilitas dan relevansi melalui Kurikulum Merdeka. Studi ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk pengembangan pendidikan di Indonesia melalui adopsi praktik terbaik dari Singapura.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for digital learning media in the teaching and learning process at SD Negeri 16, Lahat Regency, specifically in the subject of history. The research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, involving teachers and students as the target of the study, with students as the main subjects. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation to obtain in-depth information about the challenges and learning needs. The results of the study show that history learning in this school still relies on conventional book-based methods, which are considered less engaging by some students. 48.1% of students expressed the need for digital media to support history learning, especially in the material of the spread of megalithic culture. Additionally, 67% of students desired learning media that is engaging, concise, and clear. These findings emphasize the importance of developing interactive digital learning media that meets students' needs to enhance the effectiveness of learning. The results of this study are expected to serve as a foundation for the development of technology-based learning innovations in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive game-based learning media on the human digestive system for elementary school students and to test the validity, practicality, and potential effectiveness of the media. The development model used is the Rowntree model, which consists of three main stages: planning, development, and evaluation. This model emphasizes systematic and structured media development to ensure effective learning. Formative evaluation is conducted using the Tessmer model, which includes one-to-one and small-group trials. The media's validity was assessed by media, content, and language experts, while its practicality was tested through one-to-one and small group evaluations. Potential effectiveness of the media was measured through field testing by comparing pre-test and post-test scores. The media's validity was assessed using percentage scores of 97.7%, 87.61%, and 94.81% from media, content, and language experts, with an overall average of 93.41%, which is categorized as very valid. The practicality aspect received a score of 88.55%, indicating it is highly practical. The field test results showed an average post-test score of 85.11 and an N-Gain of 0.72, both of which are considered high. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the interactive game-based learning media has high validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This media contributes explicitly to Science and Social Studies learning through an innovative gamification approach, distinguishing it from previous studies. The use of this media not only enhances students' understanding of the human digestive system but also introduces a fun and interactive learning method, providing a new learning experience for elementary school students. The novelty of this study lies in the gamification design developed to facilitate an understanding of abstract concepts related to the human digestive system, in accordance with cognitive learning theory. This design integrates visual and audio elements to support dual coding. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of elementary school students and teachers for the development of digital teaching materials based on Multiple Learning Materials Object (MLMO) on energy transformation materials. The background of this research is based on the low level of science literacy of students and the limitations of conventional teaching materials that are less interactive and not yet contextual with daily life. The research used a mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, starting with the collection of quantitative data through questionnaires of 60 grade IV students, then continued with semi-structured interviews with four teachers of science subjects. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. The results of the study show that students have a high preference for visual and interactive learning media such as videos, digital quizzes, and simulations that facilitate the understanding of abstract concepts. Meanwhile, teachers emphasized the importance of digital teaching materials that are lightweight, accessible, and relevant to the socio-cultural context of students. Based on these findings, the development of MLMO-based digital teaching materials is considered to have the potential to increase learning motivation, conceptual understanding, and science literacy of elementary school students while supporting the implementation of 21st century learning that is creative, interactive, and oriented towards Independent Learning

Abstract

The low achievement of students' science literacy in Indonesia, as shown by the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), indicates a gap between students' mastery of concepts and their ability to apply them in real-life situations. One relevant approach to addressing this challenge is the provision of learning media based on socio-scientific issues in the form of interactive, multimodal, and hypercontent e-modules. This research aims to explore the needs of students and teachers as the basis for developing the e-module. The research subjects involved 71 students and two science teachers at SMP Negeri 11 Bayung Lencir. Data was collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The observation results show that learning remains teacher-centered, lecture-dominant, and relies on a limited package of books, and is less related to daily life. Student interviews revealed that science learning tends to be monotonous; however, they show a strong tendency towards visual-based and group discussion-based learning. Direct practice, as well as digital media that are integrated with environmental, health, and technological issues. The teacher emphasized the need for innovative media that is contextual and digital-based. The questionnaire data reinforces this finding, where 74.6% of students are looking for additional materials outside of the package book, 54.9% need additional learning media, but only 9.8% have used e-modules. In addition, almost half of the students (49.2%) stated that they prefer digital-based learning and are interested in science materials related to socio-scientific issues. This finding confirms the urgency of developing hypercontent e-modules with socio-scientific issue-content as a pedagogical as well as technological solution to support the defense of science that is more meaningful, collaborative, and contributory to improving the science literacy of junior high school students.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Pembelajaran sosiologi tidak hanya membahas hubungan sosial antarindividu dan kelompok, tetapi juga mengaitkan manusia dengan Tuhannya sesuai ajaran Al-Qur’an. Integrasi nilai wahyu penting untuk memperkuat pemahaman sosial yang bermoral. PKM berjudul “Pembelajaran Sosiologi Berbasis Wahyu kepada Guru dan Siswa SMA di Kota Pagar Alam dan Kabupaten Muara Enim” dilaksanakan untuk mengenalkan konsep sosiologi berbasis wahyu dan penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode: PKM dilakukan melalui tiga tahap: Pembukaan dan pretest untuk mengukur pemahaman awal, penyampaian materi melalui kuliah desa yang menghubungkan teori sosiologi dengan nilai Al-Qur’an, dan postest untuk mengevaluasi peningkatan pemahaman peserta. Hasil: Kegiatan berjalan lancar dengan respons positif. Nilai peserta meningkat dari 64% pada pretest menjadi 87% pada postest. Kesimpulan: PKM ini efektif meningkatkan pemahaman peserta mengenai pembelajaran sosiologi berbasis wahyu dan layak dijadikan model pengembangan pembelajaran yang berkarakter dan bernilai Islami.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze learning approaches, disciplinary culture, and character development strategies in elementary education in Japan and Indonesia through a comprehensive literature review. Using a literature review research design, data were obtained from national and international journals, academic books, educational organization reports, and relevant previous research findings from the past ten years. The findings indicate that Japan has successfully implemented active, collaborative, and contextual learning integrated with school routines, thereby shaping students' character through direct experience. In contrast, Indonesia, which has adopted a competency-based curriculum, still faces challenges such as pedagogical consistency, disparities in teacher quality, and a weak school culture that supports active learning and character education. In terms of discipline, Japan implements an approach based on collective responsibility and self-regulated behavior, while Indonesia is still in the transition process towards positive discipline that focuses on strengthening social-emotional competencies. Gap analysis reveals differences in the integration of learning, character, and school culture that impact the effectiveness of elementary education in both countries. This study presents a novelty in the form of mapping the state of the art that shows the relationship between learning approaches and character development in an international comparative context.
