Abstract

Background: Kemajuan teknologi juga merambah ke dalam dunia Pendidikan. Proses pembelajaran sebaiknya juga meggunakan teknologi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan atau prestasi siswa. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan motivasi dan pengetahuan kepada guru mengenai pentingnya penggunaan media pembelajaran sebagai sarana evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis games serta meningkatkan keterampilan dan kreativitas guru dalam menggunakan dan memberikan evaluasi pembelajaran yang interaktif berbasis games. Metode: Metode kegiatan yang digunakan adalah memberikan Workshop tentang evaluasi pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan Kahoot, Pendampingan pelatihan evaluasi pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan Kahoot serta melakukan Refleksi dan Evaluasi. Kegiatan Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada hari Rabu, 14 Desember 2022 bertempat di MTS Ma’arif 11 Seputih Banyak. Pelatihan ini dilakukan secara luring dengan peserta pelatihan ini diikuti oleh guru-guru MTS Ma’arif 11 Seputih Banyak berjumlah 19 orang. Hasil: Evaluasi pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan Kahoot di MTS Ma’arif 11 Seputih Banyak disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan dapat bermanfaat bagi guru, pemahaman dan kemampuan dalam melakukan penilaian pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan Kahoot melalui partisipasi aktif mendengarkan penjelasan dari pemateri TIM, membaca materi pelatihan, bertanya, mengemukakan pendapat, berpartisipasi dalam penilaian pembelajaran interaktif dengan Kahoot di MTS Ma’arif 11 Seputih Banyak selama kegiatan.

Abstract

Located in the lowlands, Sisowaras Village, Bumi Ratu Nuban Subdistrict, has many livelihoods as farmers, where the majority of the population grows rice in the fields. Apart from farmers, there are also many other livelihoods such as traders, livestock breeders, builders, educators and government employees. However, there are still many young people in the Sidowaras village who do not have a livelihood and lack of creativity, so the purpose of this service is to empower the community in utilizing waste into plastic flower crafts. The service method uses the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach by involving members of the Sidowaras village community, Bumi Ratu Nuban District. . The results of this service are community empowerment in terms of utilizing waste into flower crafts and Capacity Building in the Creative Economy Sector for the Sidowaras community through the use of waste into plastic flowers  which can increase capacity in terms of creativity of the Sidowaras village community in terms of creative industries that can develop creativity in terms of the economy. Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat: 1) pengaruh kategori keaktifan belajar terhadap KPM matematis; 2) pengaruh penerapan strategi team quiz terhadap KPM matematis; 3) interaksi antara keaktifan belajar dan strategi pembelajaran terhadap KPM matematis peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket keaktifan belajar dan tes KPM matematis peserta didik, yang mana telah melalui uji validitas, daya beda, tingkat kesukaran dan reliabilitas. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji Two Way Anova sel tak sama, dengan taraf signifikan 5%, yang sebelumnya data telah melalui uji prasyarat dan diperoleh hasil bahwa data homogen dan berdistribusi normal. Hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) terdapat pengaruh penggunaan strategi team quiz terhadap KPM peserta didik; 2) terdapat pengaruh kategori keaktifan belajar peserta didik terhadap KPM peserta didik; 3) tidak terdapat interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan keaktifan belajar terhadap KPM matematis peserta didik

Abstract

Mathematical representation ability is an essential skill for students to understand mathematical concepts. Many studies have been conducted regarding this ability, but it is necessary to map existing research to provide a clearer picture of future research topics. This study aims to provide a bibliometric review of trends using mathematical representation skills in mathematics teaching research. The method in this study is bibliometric analysis, which aims to analyze and classify bibliographic material by presenting representative summaries of the literature in the Scopus database. The search was carried out using the keyword "mathematical representation" and selecting "article title" in the search menu in the Scopus.com database. Perish or Publish (PoP) software analyzes the author's name, number of document citations, document title, year of publication, document source, publisher, and document type. The results showed 99 publications and 357 citations related to mathematical representations, where the number of publications and citations fluctuated. The application of learning models and approaches, computer media, and analysis of mathematical representations is a research trend related to this variable. Therefore, paying attention to mathematical representations in learning mathematics and using effective strategies to improve students' mathematical representation abilities is essential. The findings of this study indicate the need to develop syntax and learning media based on mathematical representations to strengthen students' mathematical abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of: 1) cognitive style (Field Independent and Field Dependent) on the ability to understand mathematical concepts; 2) application of the geogebra-assisted cycle 7e learning model on the ability to understand mathematical concepts; 3) the interaction between the learning model group (learning cycle 7E learning model, learning cycle learning model 7E assisted by geogebra and conventional learning model) and the cognitive style group on students' mathematical concept understanding abilities. Quasi experimental design is used as a research method with data collection techniques using concept understanding tests and cognitive style tests. The two-way ANOVA test was used to find answers to the research objectives that had previously been tested for normality and homogeneity tests. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that: 1) The application of the 7E learning cycle learning model with geogebra has a good effect on the ability to understand mathematical concepts; 2) cognitive style has no effect on mathematical understanding ability; and 3) there is no interaction between the learning model group and the cognitive style group on the ability to understand mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Numerous students encounter obstacles in comprehending the material of economic mathematics, suggesting a need for innovation in pedagogical approaches. In this context, the application of digital media, such as Sparkol Videoscribe-based instructional videos, presents a potential solution. The objective of this research is to construct and evaluate the efficacy of economic mathematics instructional videos utilizing the 4D (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) development model. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach, as well as the 4D development model. Validation tests involved subject matter experts, instructional design experts, and educational media experts. The effectiveness of the instructional videos was examined through individual trials, small group trials, and field testing. Findings from the reviews and trials demonstrated that the economic mathematics instructional videos were rated as outstanding, with validation percentages exceeding 90% in all categories. In field testing, the instructional videos received an excellent rating, with a percentage of 95.98%. The instructional videos significantly enhanced understanding of the concepts. This indicates that Sparkol Videoscribe-based instructional videos are effective in improving students' understanding of economic mathematics material. The research concludes that the construction and implementation of economic mathematics instructional videos using the 4D development model is effective in enhancing students' conceptual understanding. The study further provides recommendations for students, faculty, campuses, and other researchers to utilize and further develop digital educational media, such as videos, in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Mathematical representation is essential for students’ understanding, especially in probability which requires visual symbolic and verbal interpretation. However many digital worksheets lack integration across these modes. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a multirepresentational electronic worksheet using the Liveworksheets platform to enhance students’ representational skills in probability. The study applied the ADDIE development model which included curriculum analysis expert validation and classroom implementation through a pretest and posttest design. The worksheet combined interactive charts symbolic equations and explanatory prompts into a unified learning experience. Panels of experts consisting of subject-matter specialists media experts and psychometricians validated the content usability and alignment with educational objectives. Students who participated in pilot activities responded positively and reported high levels of engagement. The pretest and posttest results demonstrated improvements in students’ visual symbolic and verbal representation skills. These outcomes indicate that integrating multiple representation modes into a digital learning tool can effectively support deeper conceptual understanding. The study concludes that the developed worksheet is educationally valid engaging for learners and practical for classroom use. It offers a promising approach to support differentiated instruction in mathematics and enrich students’ learning experiences particularly in mastering abstract probability concepts.

Abstract

  This study investigates the influence of self-confidence on students' mathematical representation abilities, which are essential for interpreting and communicating mathematical ideas. Employing a comparative correlational design, the research involved eighth-grade students selected through a cluster random sampling method. The data were obtained using a self-confidence questionnaire and a mathematical representation test, both of which were validated for reliability and content relevance. Data analysis was conducted using statistical techniques to examine differences in students' representation skills based on their self-confidence levels. The findings reveal that students with higher self-confidence tend to demonstrate stronger abilities in representing mathematical concepts compared to those with moderate or low self-confidence. These students are more inclined to engage in problem-solving processes, utilize multiple forms of representation, and articulate their reasoning more effectively. The results support the idea that self-confidence plays a critical role in facilitating not only motivation and engagement but also cognitive performance in mathematics. This study underscores the importance of integrating strategies that nurture self-confidence within mathematics instruction. By doing so, educators can enhance students’ abilities to represent, interpret, and apply mathematical knowledge in meaningful ways. Encouraging a positive learning environment that values effort and supports student confidence may significantly contribute to overall mathematical proficiency.
