Abstract

In attempts to address issues in the realm of Islamic education, particularly at the adult community level, al-Quran literacy is frequently raised. Although adults are supposed to be reasonably literate in the Al-Quran, there is nevertheless a disconnect with the reality of societal conditions. It is important to give careful consideration to the process of teaching adults Al-Quran literacy through education. In order to provide individuals in East Kutai with an instructional communication method for Al-Quran literacy, this research attempts to do so. This study employs descriptive methodology and is classified as a qualitative study. According to the study's findings, adult education programs in Al-Quran literacy in East Kutai use persuasive, dialogic, and demonstrative communication styles. The government, social environment, and family environment all provide impetus for the Al-Quran literacy process. In terms of techniques, the iqro method is employed in the educational process to facilitate adult learners' comprehension of the Qur’an. In addition, an environment free from coercion and a feeling of community among adults without literacy in the Qur'an are supportive elements in the process of achieving Qur’an literacy. In the meantime, adult physical condition, a lack of infrastructure and support systems, and a comparatively short study period are the things impeding Al-Quran knowledge.

Abstract

This study aimed to collect and analyze articles related to Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences theory and its implementation in Islamic education in Indonesia, as well as to identify research gaps. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with meta-synthesis data analysis techniques. The selected articles were published between 2016 and 2024 and chosen as the subjects of the study. These articles were gathered through search engines such as Google Scholar, Scopus.com, and Elicit.ai. The data analysis techniques employed were both quantitative and qualitative. The analysis results indicated that the implementation of Multiple Intelligences in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teaching successfully improved student achievement and encourages teachers to teach creatively, using methods such as demonstrations, role-playing, the use of ICT, outdoor learning, and student motivation. Additionally, this implementation fosters critical thinking, problem-solving learning, creative thinking, and communicative learning. The implementation of Multiple Intelligences in PAI also aligned with the concept of fitrah. Further research is recommended to broadly review the implementation of Multiple Intelligences in Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and challenges of curriculum implementation in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) in Indonesia, as well as provide strategic recommendations for improvement. A qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design is used to identify factors that affect the success of curriculum implementation. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with madrasah heads and teachers, participatory observations, and analysis of related documents such as syllabi and evaluation reports. The findings show that limited teacher training, lack of learning facilities, and dominance of traditional approaches are the main obstacles to achieving curriculum goals. The results of the analysis highlight the importance of applying project-based learning methods (PBL) and character education to improve 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. However, the implementation of this method still faces technical and pedagogical obstacles. This research also found the need to strengthen teacher competence through continuous training and the provision of relevant educational resources. In conclusion, the implementation of the curriculum in MI requires synergy between education policies, teacher training, and infrastructure support. The recommendations of this research include improving training programs, procuring technology-based facilities, and collaborating with the government, madrasas, and the community. This research contributes to supporting the development of Islamic education that is more adaptive to the challenges of the globalization era.

Abstract

Using a bibliometric approach, this study analyses trends and problems in inclusive education research from 2018 to 2023. The data was taken from the Scopus database, with 200 publications found, sorted into 159 relevant articles, and then analyzed using the Biblioshiny software. The results showed a significant increase in the number of publications related to inclusive education, with the most significant spikes occurring in 2019 and 2020, with 46 articles each. The most frequently emerged keywords were inclusive education, special needs, disability, and inclusive pedagogy, which reflected the main focus on special needs and inclusive pedagogy. Geographical distribution shows that the research is dominated by developed countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, while developing countries still contribute relatively little. The network of collaboration between researchers is strong among developed countries, but cross-country collaboration with developing countries is still limited. The main problems identified in the literature are lack of teacher training, limited resources, and cultural resistance. In addition, there is a research gap in inclusive education at the university level and a lack of concrete solutions to address existing problems. This research provides important insights into the development of inclusive education research. It identifies areas that still need further exploration, especially in developing countries and in the context of higher education.

Abstract

This study examines the contribution of aqidah education to preventing juvenile delinquency in Islamic schools through the literature review method. Aqidah education is considered necessary in shaping students' positive character, spiritual awareness, and religious identity, all of which play a role in reducing deviant behavior. Data was obtained from various relevant journal articles in the last ten years. The study results show that aqidah education effectively strengthens students' moral and ethical values, such as honesty and responsibility, and increases spiritual awareness that helps self-control. In addition, aqidah education also builds positive characters, such as discipline and empathy, and strengthens religious identities that make students more firm in Islamic principles. These findings underscore the importance of developing relevant aqidah education curricula, increasing student involvement in spiritual activities, and teacher training in teaching aqidah. Thus, aqidah education significantly prevents juvenile delinquency and forms students with character and integrity through Islamic teachings.
