Abstract

Riyan Maulana 1*, Emil Biyansyahna 2, Siti Afriani (3) 1 Alwashliyah University Banda Aceh 2 Syiah Kuala University 3 STIK Pante Kulu Banda Aceh *Corresponding author: riyanmaulana@unadabna.ac.id Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the education sector to shift to online learning due to social distancing, utilizing information and communication technology for teaching and learning. However, this transition presents risks such as inequality of technology access, decreased student engagement, and psychosocial impacts. This study aims to identify the risks of online learning through systematic literature review (SLR) to support effective risk management and inform education policy in the digital era. The research used the SLR method, with searches on scientific databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and ScienceDirect. Inclusion criteria included English and Indonesian journals (2017-2022), using the keywords "online learning risk" and "online education risk management". The selection process followed the PRISMA protocol, resulting in 34 relevant journals after rigorous screening. The analysis showed that one journal addressed online education policy, highlighting the risks of regulatory unpreparedness and internet access in remote areas. Sixteen journals focused on higher education, identifying risks such as low student motivation, digital plagiarism and lack of lecturer technology training. Seventeen journals addressed primary and secondary schools, emphasizing the risks of unequal access to devices, mental health disorders, and decreased social interaction. Key risks include technical, pedagogical and psychosocial aspects. Integrated risk management, such as improved digital infrastructure, technology training and mental health support, is needed for mitigation. This research recommends further empirical studies in the Indonesian context to support sustainable online learning. The findings enrich the educational literature with a comprehensive risk management framework.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of multicultural education in the education system in Indonesia, as well as its impact on character formation and tolerance among students. In this research, a qualitative approach was used with a case study method in several schools that implemented a multicultural education curriculum. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, students, as well as analysis of curriculum documents and school activities. The research results show that multicultural education plays an important role in increasing students' understanding of cultural, racial and religious diversity, as well as strengthening attitudes of tolerance and mutual respect between each other. However, challenges in its implementation include a lack of in-depth understanding of the concept of multiculturalism among educators, as well as limited facilities that support optimal implementation of the program. This research suggests the need for more intensive training for teachers and the development of supporting resources in order to create a more inclusive and harmonious educational environment.

Abstract

Marine-derived endophytic fungi represent an underexplored reservoir of biologically active metabolites and enzymes with industrial relevance. This study investigated the fungal diversity associated with seaweed, seagrass, and mangrove leaf tissues collected from Buton Island, Southeast Sulawesi, with particular emphasis on antibacterial properties and cellulolytic activity. Thirty-two fungal isolates were successfully recovered and characterized based on morphological features. Antibacterial assays against Vibrio harveyi showed that several isolates, notably WB 1-2, WB 6-2, and SM 27-2, produced clear inhibition zones ranging from 11 to 13 mm, demonstrating notable antibacterial efficacy. Among all isolates, Aspergillus terreus (WB 1-2) exhibited the highest cellulase activity and was therefore selected for further enzymatic evaluation. The crude cellulase displayed maximum activity at pH 4 and a temperature of 70 °C. Hydrolysis products were qualitatively analyzed using HPLC, confirming the presence of glucose. These results highlight the dual potential of marine endophytic fungi as sources of antibacterial agents and thermostable cellulases. This work lays the groundwork for future development of eco-friendly enzyme production and marine-based antimicrobial resources, supporting sustainable biotechnological innovation within the blue economy framework.

Abstract

Developing digital literacy is crucial in facing the era of globalization and the rapid digital transformation. Digital literacy encompasses not only the ability to access information through technology, but also the skills to understand, manage, and utilize it wisely in accordance with prevailing norms , ethics, and culture. This community service program aims to improve digital literacy as a means of community empowerment at the Guna Rayadi Ilmu Course and Training Institute, particularly in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and tourism sectors. The methods used include a descriptive approach through literature studies, field observations, and interviews with MSMEs and village communities involved in e-commerce activities. The results of the activity indicate that limited understanding of digital technology remains a major obstacle in accessing digital economic opportunities in villages. Through digital literacy training and mentoring, communities are beginning to understand the use of technology for promoting local products, conducting online transactions, and managing e-commerce-based businesses. This program has had a positive impact on increasing local economic capacity, expanding marketing networks, and reducing digital-based social disparities. Thus, digital literacy has proven to be a strategic instrument in empowering rural communities towards inclusive and sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Speaking ability is one aspect of language development that can be optimized at an early age. Storytelling is one method to optimize speaking ability in early childhood. This study aims to describe the role of storytelling activities on early childhood speaking ability. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with document analysis and observation methods. Primary data sources come from books and scientific journals related to storytelling and early childhood speaking skills, while secondary data sources come from 4-year-old children. The results of the study indicate that storytelling has three components: the storyteller, the storyteller, and the listener. Stories are a medium to teach vocabulary and sentences for children to listen to, so that children will be encouraged to say the words or sentences they hear. Storytelling can foster new attitudes so that responses emerge in the form of words or sentences, make children recognize environmental conditions so they can respond using words or sentences, and foster a desire to express opinions.

Abstract

Like living creatures, language experiences development that automatically results in changes. Changes in language can include changes in phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics. This study discusses changes in the semantics of the word middle in three literary works from different periods, namely Hikayat Aceh (1625) from the 17th century , Hikayat Siak (1855) from the 19th century, and Belahan Jiwa (2012) from the 21st century. Sentences containing the word middle in the three literary works were inventoried and analyzed using Cruse's (2000) theory of lexical semantics and grammatical semantics. Based on the results of the analysis, the author identified five definitions of the meaning of the word middle in the literary works Hikayat Aceh (1625), Hikayat Siak (1855), and Belahan Jiwa (2012). The five definitions of meaning found include a place between two edges, sela/antara, half/perdua, medium, and around; approximately; more or less. The change that is apparent in the meaning of the word tengah is the elimination of the word tengah which means around; approximately; more or less in the Indonesian used today.
