Abstract

The vibrations produced by reading ghunnah have a favorable influence on a person's cognitive function, specifically in the form of memory strengthening or improvement in order to prevent senile dementia. The ability of tajweed Ghunnah is thought to have a good impact on memory. Furthermore, this capacity can help to prevent senility, which is a typical problem among the elderly. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of ghunnah therapy on memory. The quantitative approaches utilized in this investigation were combined with a pre-post experimental design. The Reading Span Test method was used to assess respondents' memory before and after ghunnah therapy. The goal was to demonstrate that Ghunnah's intervention variable was the only one that had an effect on memory improvement. The findings revealed that respondents' memory scores improved before and after ghunnah therapy. As a result, it is possible to conclude that ghunnah therapy has a substantial association with memory.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between students' social media addiction and student academic achievement in online lectures that use e-learning platforms. The number of study participants was 79 psychology students, who were selected using purposive sampling. The findings show that there is a positive but not significant relationship between social media addiction and academic achievement. This condition indicates that student academic achievement will increase if students reduce their addiction to using social media. Online lectures provide space for students to access social media, so direction and guidance from lecturers is needed for students not to use social media during online lectures

Abstract

Skin is the outermost layer of the human body, which is important to prevent damage by infection, ultraviolet radiation, and toxic materials. The impermeable barrier of the skin has to be maintained via skin regeneration to preserve its essential function. However, skin regeneration declines due to decreased cell proliferation during skin aging. In this study, we investigated the role of methylglyoxal (MGO) as a precursor of advanced glycation end-products (AGE), which have been reported as an emerging threat of early aging in the skin. Previous studies reported a reduction in survival of the HaCaT cell line exposed to 500 µM MGO. However, studies on primary keratinocytes are still limited. We evaluated the viability and proliferation of primary human epidermal keratinocytes (HEKa) under the exposure of MGO. We also employed H2DCFDA assay to quantify the generation of intracellular ROS due to MGO. Our study revealed a biphasic response in which lower doses of MGO (25 and 50 µM) increased viability, while the cellular toxicity began at higher concentrations of 100, 200, and 300 µM. The proliferation assay also suggests an overall reduction of primary epidermal keratinocytes exposed to 100 and 200 µM MGO after 24 and 48 hours of culture. Increasing ROS concentrations were also observed in cells treated with 100 and 200 µM MGO. Our data suggested that a lower concentration of MGO was required to induce cellular toxicity in primary human epidermal keratinocytes compared to the HaCaT cell line reported by another study, indicating different sensitivity to MGO.

Abstract

In the ever-evolving digital era, Sharia e-commerce platforms have become an integral part of Muslim consumers' lives, offering services that prioritize Sharia principles such as contract transparency, product halal compliance, and transactional justice. This study focuses on Sharia e-commerce platforms to investigate the role of Online Customer Experience (OCE) in enhancing Customer Satisfaction and Repurchase Intention. An explanatory research approach was employed with quantitative methods, where data were collected through online questionnaires from 136 active Sharia e-commerce users. Data analysis was conducted using Path Analysis to measure both direct and indirect effects among variables. The study examines OCE as the independent variable, Customer Satisfaction as the intervening variable, and Repurchase Intention as the dependent variable. The findings reveal that OCE elements such as informativeness, entertainment, personalization, social presence, and adherence to Sharia principles significantly influence Customer Satisfaction. Moreover, Customer Satisfaction acts as a mediator affecting Repurchase Intention, where a positive customer experience strengthens loyalty and repurchase intentions. The study emphasizes the importance of Sharia-based customer experience strategies to maintain competitiveness in the e-commerce market. OCE elements integrated with Islamic values have proven to create more satisfying and sustainable customer experiences. These findings provide valuable insights for business practitioners and Sharia e-commerce platform developers in designing services that cater to Muslim consumer needs. By optimizing OCE elements, Sharia e-commerce platforms can reinforce their position as competitive and value-added shopping solutions within the increasingly dynamic digital ecosystem.
