Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model and Learning Interest on the Learning Outcomes of Grade IV Students of SD Katolik 03 Frater Don Bosco Manado. This type of research is quantitative with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group design. The sample taken was 25 students of grade IV A as the control class and IV B as the experimental class. The data collection technique used tests and non-tests, then the data obtained was analyzed using the hypothesis I test and hypothesis II using the t test. The results of the study obtained an average value of the posttest learning outcomes of the experimental class which was higher, namely 74.28 and 90.44. While the control class values were 69.92 and 87.72. Based on the data analysis, the findings of this study indicate that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is effective for student interest in the learning outcomes of grade IV students on the procedural text material in learning Indonesian at SD Katolik 03 Frater Don Bosco Manado.

Abstract

Perilaku prososial seperti menolong,berbagi dan bekerja sama adalah Tindakan sukarela yang bertujuan memberikan manfaat positif kepada individu atau kelompok lain. Penelitian ini didasari oleh mood atau suasana hati yang merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kecenderungan orang berperilaku prososial, dan dalam hal ini peneliti menemukan ada mahasiswa yang tidak melakukan perilaku prososial di lingkungan perkuliahan karena memiliki suasana hati yang buruk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji ada tidaknya pengaruh Suasana hati terhadap perilaku prososial pada mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Administrasi Negara Universitas Negeri Manado. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini menggunakan mahasiswa aktif Program Studi Ilmu Administrasi Negara Universitas Negeri Manado tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan adalah 213 orang yang ditentukan menggunakan Teknik Isaac Michael dengan batas toleransi 5%. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuisoner skala Suasana hati dan Perilaku Prososial. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara Suasana Hati dan Perilaku Prososial pada Mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Administrasi Negara tahun ajaran 2024\2025. Dimana semakin tinggi Suasana hati, semakin tinggi juga Perilaku Prososial. Hasil T menunjukan nilai sebesar 6,271, yang mendukung hipotesis bahwa Suasana Hati berpengaruh terhadap Perilaku Prososial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa adanya pengaruh antara suasana hati yang positif terhadap perilaku prososial. Maka dari itu HA diterima, yaitu adanya Pengaruh Suasana Hati terhadap Perilaku Prososial, Sedangkan H0 ditolak.

Abstract

Kota Manado merupakan wilayah rawan banjir yang hampir setiap tahun mengalami bencana dengan dampak tidak hanya pada aspek fisik dan material, tetapi juga pada kondisi psikologis dan sosial masyarakat terdampak. Pascabanjir yang terjadi pada Maret 2025, banyak warga, khususnya kelompok rentan seperti anak-anak, perempuan, dan lansia, mengalami trauma, stres, dan kecemasan yang berlarut-larut, sementara layanan psikososial masih terbatas. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas mitra dan masyarakat dalam memberikan pendampingan psikososial berbasis komunitas bagi korban banjir. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif berbasis komunitas melalui pelatihan dasar pendampingan psikososial, simulasi praktik lapangan, serta edukasi berkelanjutan dan sosialisasi komunitas. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader lokal yang ditandai dengan peningkatan rata-rata skor pengetahuan sebesar 32% serta meningkatnya kemampuan komunikasi empatik. Simulasi praktik lapangan memberikan dampak positif terhadap ekspresi emosi anak-anak penyintas banjir dan meningkatkan kepercayaan diri kader dalam melakukan pendampingan. Edukasi komunitas menjangkau lebih dari 120 warga dan mendorong penerapan teknik koping sederhana dalam pengelolaan stres pascabencana. Selain itu, terbentuknya Tim Relawan Psikososial berbasis komunitas menjadi luaran penting yang mendukung keberlanjutan program. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini efektif dalam memperkuat ketahanan psikososial masyarakat dan berpotensi direplikasi di wilayah rawan bencana lainnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini Mengulas peran pendidik dalam bimbingan dan konseling dalam mencegah perilaku bullying di antara siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Tomohon. Studi ini bertujuan untuk meneliti fungsi pengajar bimbingan dan konseling bullying di antara murid di institusi pendidikan, serta mengenali elemen-elemen yang mendukung dan menghalangi yang dialami oleh para guru bimbingan dan konseling.Pendekatan yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Terdapat empat partisipan yang diambil bagian dalam penelitian ini. Temuan dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa guru bimbingan dan konseling di SMP Negeri 2 Tomohon berperan penting dalam pegananan peserta didik (korban dan pelaku bullying ) Peran guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam menagani pelaku serta korban bullying di lingkungan sekolah. Peran guru BK terhadap korban bullying yaitu memberikan dukungan emosional melalui layanan konseling agar korban merasa aman, didengar, tidak disalahkan dan membantu korban mengatasi dampak psiokologis seperti rasa takut, rendah diri, stress atau trauma serta melatih keterampilan coping dan sikap asertif agar korban mampu melindungi dirinya. Faktor-faktor yang mendukung termasuk dukungan dari kepala sekolah, kolaborasi antara konselor sekolah dan pengajar mata pelajaran, partisipasi orang tua, serta lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif menjadi faktor kunci. Sedangkan faktor penghambat guru BK, meliputi keterbatasan waktu, rendahnya kesadaran peserta didik akan penting konseling, kurangnya keterlibatan orang tua, serta stigma negatif terhadap layanan BK

Abstract

Pekerjaan dengan risiko tinggi cenderung memiliki tingkat kecelakaan yang lebih tinggi, dan banyak hal yang dapat mempengaruhi hal tersebut baik dari lingkungan atau individu khususnya persepsi pada perilaku. Dilakukanya penelitian ini dengan tujuan mengetahui hubungan persepsi risiko dengan perilaku keselamatan pada Petugas Pemadam Kebakaran di Kabupaten Minahasa. Jenis Penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 64 petugas. Pada kategorisasi data juga ditemukan bahwa baik dalam variabel persepsi risiko dan perilaku keselamatan mayoritas responden berada pada tingkat yang tinggi. Analisis dilakukan dengan uji korelasi yang menunjukan nilai signifikansi 0,002 (p > 0.05), berarti ada hubungan yang signifikan pada persepsi risiko dengan perilaku keselamatan petugas. Selain itu pada nilai (R) didapatkan sebesar 0,385 dan (R2) sebesar 0,148. Dapat disimpulkan ialah meskipun terdapat keterkaitan antara data yang diteliti, persepsi risiko bukanlah merupakan faktor atau prediktor utama perilaku keselamatan pada petugas pemadam kebakaran

Abstract

Migrant students often experience homesickness during initial adaptation to university life away from family, manifesting as emotional distress including sadness, anxiety, and reduced motivation. This study aimed to examine the effect of emotion regulation on homesickness behavior among Faculty of Education and Psychology migrant students at Universitas Negeri Manado cohorts 2023-2024. Quantitative research with associative design was employed, targeting a population of all migrant students from these cohorts and purposive sampling of 75 respondents. Data collected via 63-item Likert scale questionnaire on emotion regulation and homesickness were analyzed using simple linear regression, normality, linearity tests via SPSS 24. Results revealed a significant negative effect (β = -0.648, t = 12.007, p < 0.05) with emotion regulation contributing 64.7% to homesickness variance. In conclusion, stronger emotion regulation skills substantially reduce homesickness intensity, suggesting emotion regulation training as essential for migrant student adaptation.

Abstract

Petty corruption remains a persistent issue in higher education administrative services, yet its behavioral foundations are not well understood. This qualitative case study examines how impulsive behavior among administrative employees appears to be associated with petty deviations at Universitas Negeri Manado. Data were gathered through twenty-one working days of participatory observation, fifteen semistructured interviews, a focus group discussion, and document analysis. Impulsivity was examined using the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale (BIS-11), encompassing motor, cognitive, and non-planning dimensions. Motor impulsivity was associated with bypassing Standard Operating Procedures, cognitive impulsivity with emotionally driven shortcuts, and non-planning impulsivity with inconsistent workflow patterns. These behaviors were shaped by service pressure, emotional strain, relational expectations, and permissive cultural norms. The study provides a nuanced understanding of impulsivity as a proximal psychological mechanism influencing administrative decision making. A psychologically informed prevention model is proposed, emphasizing emotional regulation training, integrity-oriented cultural reinforcement, and process-focused supervision as pathways to strengthening integrity and reducing petty corruption in university administrative settings

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Wordwall educational game on English learning interest in seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Tomohon. Considering the importance of learning interest in increasing student motivation and engagement in learning, the use of technology-based learning media, such as educational games, is an attractive alternative. This study used a quasi-experimental design with the experimental group given learning using the Wordwall educational game and the control group given conventional learning. Data collection methods were carried out through pre-tests and post-tests using a Likert-scale English learning interest questionnaire. The results of the analysis showed that although there was a tendency for increased learning interest in the experimental group, the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant at the α = 0.05 level. However, the calculated effect size (Cohen's d) showed that the use of Wordwall had a small to moderate effect on increasing English learning interest. This study suggests that educational games such as Wordwall can be an effective learning medium in increasing students' interest in learning with more consistent and sustainable use in the learning process.

Abstract

Bullying in senior high schools is a serious issue in educational management because it affects students’ psychological safety, emotional well-being, and the effectiveness of the learning process. School principals are expected to play a key role in creating a safe, inclusive, and non-violent school environment. However, the extent to which principal leadership directly influences student bullying behavior has not been strongly supported by empirical evidence, especially in public high schools. Therefore, this study examines the effect of principal leadership on bullying behavior among students in public senior high schools in Manado City. This research used a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design. The population consisted of all students in public senior high schools in Manado City, and 385 respondents were selected using the Lemeshow sampling formula. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires measuring perceptions of principal leadership and bullying behavior. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS software, including validity, reliability, model fit, and path analysis tests. The results indicate that principal leadership does not have a direct and significant effect on students’ bullying behavior. This suggests that principal leadership operates more indirectly through school policies, management systems, and institutional structures rather than through direct interaction with students. Bullying behavior is found to be more strongly influenced by peer relationships, school climate, and daily social interactions within the school environment. In conclusion, the relationship between principal leadership and bullying behavior is complex and indirect. Therefore, efforts to reduce bullying should not rely solely on leadership but must also involve strengthening school culture, improving peer relationships, and implementing comprehensive anti-bullying strategies that support students’ social and emotional development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine differences in self-compassion among young churchgoers who actively participate in church activities in Pineleng I Village, Minahasa Regency, based on gender. Self-compassion is an individual’s ability to treat oneself with kindness, to understand that failure is part of the human experience, and to acknowledge negative experiences without being overly self-critical. This study employed a quantitative approach with a comparative research design. The study population consisted of all 53 young people from the GMIM church in Pineleng I Village, Minahasa Regency, who actively participated in church activities. The sampling technique used is saturation sampling, so the entire population is included in the study sample. The research instrument uses the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) developed by Kristin Neff, and the data is analyzed using an independent samples t-test with the help of program SPSS 25 for Windows. The results of the study indicate that, descriptively, young men have higher levels of self­compassion than young women. The majority of young men (53.3%) fall into the high category, while the majority of young women (60.9%) fall into the moderate category. However, the results of the hypothesis test indicate that there is no significant difference in self-compassion between young men and women. This is indicated by a p-value of 0.857 > 0.05 and a t-calculated value of 0.181 < t-table 2.007. The results of this study indicate that participation in church activities provides relatively similar social and spiritual experiences, as well as environmental support, in fostering self-compassion among young churchgoers.
