Abstract

garbarata adalah jembatan berdinding dan beratap yang menghubungkan ruang tunggu penumpang ke pintu pesawat terbang untuk memudahkan penumpang masuk ke dalam atau keluar dari pesawat. Garbarata kadang juga disebut sebagai tangga belalai, karena bentuknya yang mirip belalai gajah. Dalam bahasa Inggris, garbarata umum disebut boarding brigde, aviobridge, atau jet bridge.Garbarata type apron drive dirancang berdasarkan standard industry yang ketat, serta dipabrikasi dengan keterampilan dan kualitas yang tinggi. Rancang bangun dibuat sebagai jembatan antara gedung terminal Bandar udara dengan pintu pesawat terbang, sehingga penumpang dapat masuk dan keluar dari pesawat terlindung dari hujan, panas, angin, debu, mengurangi kesibukan di apron dan penumpang yang masuk dan keluar dari pesawat sudah mewakili pemeriksaan yang ketat (steril). Sesuai dengan Bandar udara modern, hal ini menambah tinngkat keamanan operasional bandara udara, mempercepat “boarding” penumpang serta sesuai dengan kebutuhan operasional pesawat jet komersial

Abstract

The rapid growth of air transportation in Indonesia presents challenges to flight safety, particularly the recurring threat of bird strikes. Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport Lombok (BIZAM), as the primary aviation hub in West Nusa Tenggara, frequently experiences such incidents due to its proximity to bird-attracting environments such as grasslands, rice fields, and water bodies. This study aims to analyze the causes of bird strikes and evaluate current mitigation strategies. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, involving direct field observation, interviews with airport safety personnel, and review of internal documents such as bird strike logs and safety reports. The research was conducted during the author’s On-the-Job Training (OJT) at BIZAM for five months in 2024. The findings revealed three documented bird strike incidents during the observation period, occurring near the runway and apron areas during take-off and landing phases. While current deterrent measures such as vehicle patrols and sirens are in use, they are largely ineffective in the long term. The absence of real-time monitoring systems, data integration, and inter-agency collaboration contributes to the vulnerability. This study recommends the implementation of habitat management, predictive data modeling, and radar-based detection tools to enhance flight safety and align with international aviation standards.

Abstract

Keamanan dan keselamatan penerbangan dalam industri penerbangan merupakan aspek penting. Area bandar udara dapat di lindungi dari akses tidak sah dan ancaman potensial lainnya dengan pembatas fisik seperti pagar perimeter serta pos - pos penjagaan sisi udara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas pengawasan dan penanganan perimeter di Bandar Udara Internasional Zainuddin Abdul Madjid Lombok guna meningkatkan keselamatan dan keamanan penerbangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara mendalam dengan petugas keamanan bandar udara (avsec). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pagar perimeter di Bandar Udara Internasional Zainuddin Abdul Madjid Lombok belum sepenuhnya optimal sesuai dengan standar keamanan penerbangan. Beberapa temuan penting mencakup adanya pagar perimeter yang tidak dilengkapi kawat berduri, serta masih terdapat celah di perimeter yang memungkinkan orang yang tidak berkepentingan masuk ke wilayah daerah keamanan terbatas (DKT) sehingga patroli keamanan sisi udara perlu ditingkatkan. Untuk memberikan perlindungan terhadap ancaman potensial dan memastikan kelancaran operasional penerbangan, maka peneliti merekomendasikan peningkatan infrastruktur dengan memperbaiki pagar perimeter yang masih terdapat celah di bagian bawah, serta penambahan kawat berduri di beberapa area agar tidak disusupi oleh orang – orang yang tidak berkepentingan. Pemenuhan langkah - langkah mitigasi diperlukan untuk meningkatkan pengawasan, serta peningkatan kerja sama dengan pihak sekitar bandar udara.

Abstract

Transportasi udara merupakan moda transportasi yang sangat diminati karena kemampuannya dalam menghubungkan wilayah dengan cepat dan efisien. Seiring meningkatnya permintaan terhadap layanan penerbangan, keberadaan infrastruktur pendukung seperti Ground Support Equipment (GSE) menjadi sangat krusial. Di Bandar Udara Fatmawati Soekarno Bengkulu, pengawasan terhadap GSE masih dilakukan secara manual, sehingga menimbulkan kendala dalam efektivitas pengawasan dan peningkatan risiko operasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi pendataan dan pengawasan GSE saat ini serta mengkaji implementasi sistem digital dalam pengelolaannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara,secara langsung selama kegiatan On the Job Training pada unit Apron Movement Control (AMC). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi pengawasan dan pendataan GSE dapat meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, mengurangi potensi kelalaian, serta memperkuat aspek keselamatan penerbangan. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi, pengawasan terhadap GSE dapat dilakukan lebih sistematis, akurat, dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan bagi pengelola bandar udara dalam mengembangkan sistem pengawasan yang modern dan responsif terhadap tantangan operasional.

Abstract

Aspek keselamatan dalam dunia penerbangan merupakan prioritas utama yang harus dijaga oleh pihak pengelola bandara agar seluruh aktivitas penerbangan dapat berlangsung dengan aman dan lancar. Bandar Udara Internasional Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Balikpapan memiliki lokasi yang cukup kompleks, karena berada di dekat kawasan hutan, wilayah perairan, serta pemukiman penduduk. Letak geografis ini menjadikan bandara tersebut rawan terhadap gangguan dari satwa liar (wildlife hazard) yang masuk ke area sisi udara, sehingga dapat membahayakan keselamatan operasional penerbangan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan mengandalkan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi langsung, wawancara dengan pihak terkait, dokumentasi lapangan. Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa sistem pengendalian satwa liar di Bandara Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan belum sepenuhnya efektif. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan masih seringnya dijumpai hewan liar di area sisi udara, yang dapat menimbulkan potensi gangguan bagi pesawat, baik saat lepas landas maupun mendarat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa sistem manajemen wildlife hazard di bandara tersebut belum dijalankan secara optimal. Beberapa penyebab utama yang teridentifikasi antara lain adalah kondisi pagar perimeter yang tidak kokoh atau rusak, saluran drainase yang terbuka sehingga memudahkan akses hewan, pengelolaan sampah yang belum memadai, serta kurangnya perlengkapan untuk mengusir satwa liar secara efektif. Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya peningkatan dalam pengelolaan dan pengawasan untuk menjamin keselamatan penerbangan secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

This study aims to improve ground handling personnel to support operational safety in the airside area of Yogyakarta International Airport. The main focus of this study is the level of compliance with the technical provisions stipulated in SKEP 140/VI/1999. The approach used is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through direct field observation, interviews with competent parties, and review of related documents. The results of the study indicate that there are still many violations of standard operating procedures (SOPs), especially related to the use and placement of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) that does not comply with standards and the operation of vehicles that do not reach properly. Some of the main causes identified are weak supervision, low work discipline, limited understanding of safety procedures, and a lack of routine training for officers. This has the potential to increase safety risks and disrupt smooth operations at the airport. As a solution, this study recommends corrective measures that include strengthening field supervision, ongoing training to improve understanding of safety procedures, implementing strict sanctions for violators, and reorganizing equipment storage and use areas. In addition, it is important to develop a stronger safety culture among officers and utilize technology to improve operational oversight. These measures are expected to create a safer and more efficient environment in the airside area of Yogyakarta International Airport. This study also identified the need for regular evaluation and updating of existing procedures to align with technological developments and international standards. By paying attention to safety aspects, operational efficiency can be maintained and the risk of accidents or incidents can be minimized. By strengthening safety management and work discipline, better performance levels and improved service quality in the aviation sector can be achieved.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Terminal Inspection Service (TIS) Unit in supervising landside facilities at Minangkabau International Airport. Landside facilities include passenger terminals, drop-off areas, parking lots, and other public spaces that serve as key interaction points between airport services and users. Effective supervision of these areas is essential to ensure safety, comfort, and order within the airport environment. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed in this research, with data collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with TIS personnel and related stakeholders, as well as documentation analysis of existing regulations and supervision procedures.The findings reveal that the TIS Unit plays a strategic role in maintaining service quality and the security of landside facilities. This role is carried out through regular monitoring activities, early detection of potential disruptions, and the handling of various violations in public areas. However, the implementation of TIS duties still faces several challenges. These include limited personnel, which restricts comprehensive supervision of all areas; slow response from relevant units when operational issues are reported; and low discipline and compliance among service users, which further complicates enforcement efforts.To enhance the effectiveness of supervision, this study proposes several recommendations. These include strengthening inter-unit coordination within the airport, providing ongoing training for TIS personnel to improve competency and responsiveness, and implementing an integrated digital reporting system to streamline reporting and follow-up processes. Such measures are expected to support more optimal and sustainable supervision of landside facilities at the airport.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the condition of the Yogyakarta International Airport international departure waiting room service facilities which is not fully operating, in terms of the use of the waiting room area to the unavailability of important facilities. The main objective of this study is to determine the impact of facilities service that provide comfort and added value to the level of passenger satisfaction. The research was conducted with a quantitative approach using multiple regression methods supported by qualitative secondary data in the form of observations, interviews, and document studies. The results of multiple regression analysis show that facilities that provide comfort have a coefficient value of 0.118 and value-added facilities have a coefficient value of 0.461 which indicates that there is a significant impact on passenger satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. Facilities that provide comfort have a moderate correlation value of 0.514 and facilities that provide added-value show a very strong correlation of 0.805 to passenger satisfaction. The percentage of variation in passenger satisfaction variables that can be explained by the two independent variables is 68.7%. With these results, all alternative hypotheses are accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected. In the secondary data, a more in-depth passenger perspective is generated which shows that there is still dissatisfaction characterized by a gap between user expectations in waiting room facility services and the experience felt directly by passengers. The same pattern of complaints between observations, interviews, and document studies reinforces that issues related to facilities are real problems that need to be addressed seriously by airport managers.

Abstract

The trend of increasing vehicle volume entering the Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Balikpapan Airport area has increased. However, in actual implementation, airport parking management still faces a number of challenges, namely the lack of maximum utilization of parking capacity, resulting in many drivers choosing to park in the drop zone area. This causes the drop zone area to be less conducive and often leads to traffic congestion in that area. This study aims to analyze parking management and provide strategic recommendations to improve the operational efficiency of airport parking. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method. The results of data collection through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires reveal issues in parking area management that are not yet optimal, such as waterlogging, non-functional facilities, and confusing signage for passengers. The limited accessibility of the parking building makes it an unattractive option for vehicle users. The lack of discipline among vehicle users is also a major factor contributing to congestion in the drop-off zone. Regression analysis results also indicate a significant influence between parking management and operational efficiency on the ground side.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of Workload and Work Stress on Turnover Intention at PT. Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk Plumbon Branch used in sampling is using probability sampling where this sampling technique provides equal opportunities for each element (member) of the population to be selected as a member of the sample. Methods in data collection using a questionnaire, while the analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between workload on turnover intention seen from tcount>ttable, namely 2.678 > 1.996. And there is the effect of work stress which has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention. It can be seen from tcount > ttable, namely 2,796 > 1,996.
