Abstract

Abstract: Based on data obtained by Puskesmas Simpang IV Sipin, the number of patients with diabetes mellitus is striking. In 2022, this health center recorded 295 patients with diabetes mellitus. However, in 2023, the number increased rapidly to 91 people. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors associated with compliance with blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The study used a type of quantitative research with a cross sectional design. The research was conducted in October 2023 at Puskesmas Simpang IV Sipin. The sample amounted to 73 people. The sampling technique used Accidental Sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate. The results showed there was a relationship between family support (p value: 0.001) and there was no relationship between motivation (p value: 0.716) with compliance with blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes. It is recommended for families and health workers to be able to maintain and continue to increase support for patients with type 2 DM to always be obedient to control blood sugar levels such as reminding to control blood sugar levels in addition to preventing complications.Keywords: Diabetes, Family Support, Motivation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Pregnant women are a group who is at risk of undergoing malnutrition. One effort to meet the nutritional needs of pregnant women is to modify dietary menus such as fish nuggets made from lemuru and moringa leaf powder to meet protein and calcium needs. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of adding moringa leaf flour to protein content, calcium, and acceptance of lemuru fish nuggets with the addition of moringa leaf flour. This type of research is Quasi-Experimental using the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method, with the 12 experimental units in 4 treatments, addition of moringa flour to lemuru fish nuggets by 0, 20, 30, and 40 percent. Protein levels were analyzed using the Kjeldahl Semi-Micro method, calcium using the Permanganometric method, and the acceptability test using the Scale Test. data from the test results of protein levels and calcium levels were analyzed using the Kruskal Wallis test and the Mann Whitney U test, while the results of the acceptance test were analyzed using the Friedman test and the Wilcoxon Sign Rank test with a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05). The results showed that the addition of moringa leaf flour increased the protein and calcium content of lemuru fish nuggets, and had an effect on the taste acceptability of the nuggets (p-value ≥ α). Lemuru fish nuggets recommended are lemuru fish nuggets with the addition of 20 percent (X1) Moringa leaf powder, which contains 21.18 percent protein content and 410 mg calcium level. Lemuru fish nuggets with the addition of 20 percent moringa leaf powder (X1) contain protein content by SNI 7758: 2013. One-piece or 15 grams of lemuru fish nugget with the addition of 20 percent of moringa leaf powder(X1) can fill 29.28-34.16 percent of Recommended Dietary Allowances(RDA) of calcium is recommended for pregnant women aged 16-49 years. Consumption recommendations for pregnant women aged 16-49 years are 3-5 pieces per day to fill protein needs and 3-4 pieces per day to fill calcium needs. ABSTRAK Ibu hamil merupakan kelompok yang berisiko mengalami gizi kurang. Salah satu upaya memenuhi kebutuhan gizi ibu hamil dengan modifikasi menu makanan seperti nugget ikan berbahan lemuru dan tepung daun kelor untuk memenuhi kebutuhan protein dan kalsium. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh penambahan tepung daun kelor terhadap kadar protein, kalsium, dan daya terima nugget ikan lemuru. Penelitian Quasi Experimental dengan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), terdiri dari 12 unit percobaan dalam 4 perlakuan, yaitu penambahan tepung daun kelor pada nugget ikan lemuru sebesar 0, 20, 30, dan 40 persen. Kadar protein dianalisis dengan metode Semi Mikro Kjeldahl, kalsium dengan metode Permanganometri, dan uji daya terima menggunakan Scale Test. Data hasil uji kadar protein dan kadar kalsium dianalisis menggunakan uji Kruskal Wallis dan uji Mann Whitney U Test sedangkan hasil uji daya terima menggunakan uji Friedman dan uji Wilcoxon Sign Rank dengan tingkat signifikasi 5% (α=0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan tepung daun kelor meningkatkan kadar protein dan kalsium nugget ikan lemuru, dan berpengaruh pada daya terima rasa nugget (p-value ≥ α). Nugget ikan lemuru yang direkomendasikan adalah nugget ikan lemuru dengan penambahan tepung daun kelor sebesar 20 persen (X1) yang mengandung kadar protein 21,18 persen dan kadar kalsium 410 mg, kandungan protein sesuai dengan SNI 7758:2013. Setiap potong atau 15 gram nugget ikan lemuru dengan penambahan tepung daun kelor 20 persen (X1) dapat memenuhi Angka Kecukupan Gizi (AKG) sebesar 32,09 - 34,72 persen protein dan 29,28 - 34,16 persen kalsium untuk ibu hamil usia 16-49 tahun. Konsumsi 3-5 potong per hari mencukupi kebutuhan protein harian dan 3-4 potong per hari mencukupi kebutuhan kalsium harian untuk ibu hamil usia 16-49 tahun. [Penel Gizi Makan 2021, 44(1):1-10]

Abstract

Abstract: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is one type of chronic disease that is long-term and requires ongoing treatment. Non-adherence to treatment in patients with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is still a serious challenge in efforts to manage this disease effectively. The purpose of the study was to determine the correlation of demographic aspects with compliance of diabetes mellitus patients in self-administration of insulin. The research design used in this study was cross sectional. The research was conducted at Siaga Medika General Hospital. The research was conducted in July 2024. The population is all patients who have diabetes mellitus. The sample amounted to 75 people. The sampling technique used in this study was Simple Random Sampling. Data analysis was performed univariate and bivariate. The results showed a relationship between education (p value: 0.045) and work (p value: 0.012). It is recommended that diabetic patients can maintain, foster, and increase self-awareness to always seek information, increase compliance and enthusiasm, in undergoing diabetes mellitus treatment.Keywords: Compliance, Education, Occupation

Abstract

Abstract: Based on an initial survey, that DM patients who do outpatient care at RSUD Dr. Sayidiman Magetan in 2021 amounted to 264 cases, in 2022 amounted to 656 cases and in 2023 alone amounted to 772 cases. The purpose of the study was to determine the factors associated with diabetes mellitus diet compliance in the elderly. The research design used in this study was cross sectional. The research was conducted at Dr. Sayidiman Magetan Hospital. The research was conducted in July 2024. The population was all outpatients with Diabetes Mellitus in the polyclinic of RSUD dr Sayidiman Magetan totaling 65 patients. The sample amounted to 56 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed univariate and bivariate. The results of the study there is a relationship between attitude (p value: 0.020) and health worker support (p value: 0.045). It is recommended that hospitals can create peer groups, improve therapeutic communication, and carry out counseling activities using audio visuals regarding the importance of adherence to a diabetes mellitus diet. As well as increasing the role of the family in patient assistance so that complications of diabetes mellitus can be prevented.Keywords: Health worker support, diabetes, attitude.

Abstract

Abstract: Infants born weighing below this threshold have a much higher risk of mortality compared to infants born at normal weight. The aim of the study was to identify maternal factors that contribute to the incidence of low birth weight. The research design used in this study was cross sectional. The research was conducted at Sari Asih Hospital. The study was conducted in August 2024. The population is babies who experience LBW in Sari Asih Hospital. The sample amounted to 114 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. Data analysis was done univariate and bivariate. The results showed a relationship between parity (p value: 0.000) and anemia status (p value: 0.000) to the incidence of LBW. It is recommended for hospitals that preventive and promotive efforts can also be made in preventing low birth weight by providing counseling or counseling to pregnant women when pregnant women do antenatal care (ANC) checks during pregnancy.Keywords: Anemia, LBW, Parity.

Abstract

Pengelolaan tanaman mangrove (Sonneratia ovata) menjadi produk makanan dapat meningkatkan ekonomi kreatif berkelanjutan pada Pokdarwis Bontang Baru Bersinar selaku pengelola taman wisata Mangrove Bontang Park. Dengan adanya sosialisasi dan pelatihan, diharapkan dapat tercipta oleh – oleh unggulan khas daerah Bontang Utara yang berbahan buah mangrove (Sonneratia ovata) hasil karya Pokdarwis Bontang Baru Bersinar. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan di Aula Mangrove Bontang Park pada tanggal 7-8 September 2024. Kegiatan terdiri dari beberapa sesi yaitu panen bersama buah mangrove, pretest, sesi sosialisasi kandungan gizi dan cara pengolahan buah mangrove, pelatihan dan praktek pembuatan produk makanan yang berbahan buah mangrove, posttest, serta pembuatan grup whatsap dan penutup. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mengikuti dengan baik seluruh rangkaian kegiatan sehingga terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta tentang pengolahan buah mangrove yang ditinjau dari hasil pretest dan hasil posttes yang diberikan serta produk makanan yang telah diciptakan oleh peserta saat kegiatan praktek berlangsung.

Abstract

Background : Sonneratia ovata, also known as pedada, offers multiple benefits such as providing a habitat for aquatic and terrestrial organisms, withstanding coastal erosion, and serving as a phytoremediator. Moreover, the economic potential of Sonneratia ovata is significant, as the nutritional value of pedada fruit can be utilized in products such as mangrove chips. The nutritional value and organoleptic properties of processed pedada fruit products still have limited available information. Objective : Thus, the purpose of this study was to determine the quality of Sonneratia ovata mangrove chips both nutritional value and organoleptic. Research Methods/ Implementation Methods : There was 30 untrained panelists involve in organoleptic test, meanwhile for proximate analysis using SNI and conducted in CDAST Laboratory of Jember University. Results : The raw materials for pedada fruit and mangrove chips showed an average value of 8 that met the minimal standards set of organoleptic test by SNI. Additionally, the result of proximate analysis there were 1 parameters that exceeded the threshold, which accounts for fat contents (40.02 ± 0.03) while for protein (8.27 ± 0.02%), ash contents (3.13 ± 0.01%), water content (0.2 ± 0.01%) already met the SNI requirements. Otherwise, mangrove chips are also rich in antioxidants. It was found that the total saponin content was 0.6% and the total flavonoid content was 2.6154 mgQE/g in mangrove chips. Conclusion/Lesson Learned : Mangrove chips made from pedada fruit can be used as alternative food processing product that made from local food. This product contain high nutritional value and has prominent quality of organoleptic test’s score.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Obesitas pada remaja memicu peradangan ringan dan stres oksidatif, sehingga camilan bergizi dengan potensi antioksidan penting sebagai pendamping perubahan gaya hidup. Food bar berbasis okara–edamame sebagai alternatif pilihan karena menyumbang serat, protein nabati, dan polifenol. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan profil flavonoid, total fenolik, dan tanin pada food bar okara–edamame. Bahan dan Metode: Eksperimen laboratorik dengan rancangan acak lengkap pada tiga formulasi (F1–F3); formula terbaik dipilih lewat uji hedonic, kemudian dianalisis kimia. Total fenolik dianalisis dengan (Folin–Ciocalteu, 765 nm; mg GAE/g), total flavonoid (AlCl₃, 415 nm; mg QE/g), dan tanin (vanillin–HCl, 500 nm; mg CE/g); kemudian dilakukan uji spss. Hasil: F3 memiliki daya terima tertinggi dan ditetapkan untuk uji kimia; kadar flavonoid 0,024 ± 0,002 mg/g QE, total fenolik 0,015 ± 0,004 mg/g GAE, dan tanin 0,013 ± 0,001 mg/g, dengan variasi antarulangan kecil hingga sedang, menandakan presisi memadai. Secara fungsional, kandungan polifenol tergolong sedang namun menjadi nilai tambah produk, Kadar tanin yang rendah mendukung penerimaan rasa. Kesimpulan: food bar okara–edamame tepat diposisikan sebagai camilan fungsional berbasis serat–protein dengan polifenol komplementer. Selanjutnya diperlukan uji proksimat, optimalisasi proses pengolahan dan uji daya simpan untuk meningkatkan mutu dan kualitas produk. Abstract

Remaja merupakan kelompok usia yang rentan terhadap masalah gizi, terutama anemia defisiensi zat besi, yang dapat menurunkan konsentrasi belajar, daya tahan tubuh, dan prestasi akademik. Di wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Berau, pola konsumsi remaja cenderung rendah zat besi meskipun tersedia sumber pangan lokal yang kaya gizi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi dan kesadaran pencegahan anemia melalui program pemberdayaan remaja di SMA Negeri 9 Berau. Pelaksanaan dilakukan pada tanggal 27 November 2024 dengan pendekatan edukasi partisipatif berbasis sekolah. Metode mencakup pretest pengetahuan, penyuluhan interaktif mengenai gizi seimbang dan pangan lokal kaya zat besi, pemeriksaan kadar hemoglobin, serta posttest pengetahuan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata skor pengetahuan siswa sebesar 58,2 persen dan mayoritas memperoleh nilai posttest tinggi. Pemeriksaan hemoglobin mengungkapkan 51,1 persen siswa mengalami anemia, lebih tinggi pada perempuan dibanding laki-laki. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi partisipatif efektif meningkatkan literasi gizi remaja, namun perubahan perilaku makan membutuhkan intervensi berkelanjutan. Program ini penting untuk membangun perilaku hidup sehat dan mendukung penurunan prevalensi anemia pada remaja di wilayah pesisir.

Abstract

Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) are a group of chronic diseases that are not transmitted from one individual to another. The onset of these diseases is gradual and progressive. The increase in the incidence of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) globally is not only seen in cases of diabetes mellitus, but also in hypertension, which is one of the chronic and progressive NCDs. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between access to services and family support with the utilization of chronic disease management programs (prolanis). The research design used in this study was cross-sectional. The study was conducted in the working area of the Gattareng Community Health Center. The study was conducted in October 2024. The population consisted of all BPJS Health participants with chronic diseases (diabetes mellitus and hypertension) in the Gattareng Community Health Center working area. The sample consisted of 205 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The research instrument used a research questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate methods. The results showed a relationship between access to services (p value: 0.04) and family support (p value: 0.00) with the utilization of Prolanis services. It is recommended that the Community Health Center increase its efforts to provide information and benefits regarding Prolanis services not only to patients but also to their family members. Keywords: Access, Family Support, Prolanis
