Abstract

Disability in post-stroke clients in the form of decreased function of the extremities, such as the presence of hemiparesis in the extremities. The disability experienced by stroke patients triggers the emergence of stress to depression due to the patient's inability to meet internal and external demands. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between disability in post-stroke patients and the level of depression in the elderly at the Brain Hospital DR. Drs. M. Hatta Bukittinggi in 2021. This type of research is descriptive correlation with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were elderly post-stroke patients who were outpatient with a sample of 81 people using cluster random sampling technique. The instrument of this study used the Barthel Index and GDS questionnaires. The test used is Spearman rank. The results showed that almost half of the elderly post-stroke patients had disabilities in the independent category (44.4%), some of the elderly post-stroke experienced mild and normal (39.5%), obtained p-value = 0.000 < (0.05) and value of r = 0.639. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between disability in post-stroke patients and the level of depression in the elderly at the Brain Hospital DR. Drs. M. Hatta Bukittinggi in 2021, which shows a strong and statistically significant relationship between disability in post-stroke patients and the level of depression in the elderly. Suggestions to nurses in hospitals, can be used as input for developing nursing knowledge, so nurses can improve the quality of services in providing nursing care, especially for elderly patients with post-stroke disabilities.

Abstract

Research Aims: This study aims to measure the influence of Persuasive Communication Competence on User Satisfaction at the Universitas Sumatera Utara Library, to measure the influence of Librarian Performance on User Satisfaction at the Universitas Sumatera Utara Library, Design/methodology/approach: This research employs a quantitative correlational method to understand the relationships between the variables. The Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM) communication theory by Robert Cialdini is used in this study. The population for this study includes all individuals who have visited the Universitas Sumatera Utara Library. The sampling technique used is Accidental Sampling. The instrument used is a digital questionnaire distributed via Google Forms to 392 respondents. Research Findings: The results indicate that significant positive influence of both persuasive communication competence and librarian performance on user satisfaction at the Universitas Sumatera Utara Library. Persuasive communication and librarian performance can explain 58.4% of the influence on customer satisfaction, which according to the Guilford scale falls into the moderate/medium category and has a fairly high influence. The remaining 41.6% is influenced by other unmeasured variables such as physical facilities, collection availability, service systems, information technology, and human resources Theoretical Contribution/Originality: The results of this research can be used as a basis for further research on a larger scale or in a different context such as research in more general libraries. In addition, the researcher recommends that future researchers can carry out further research by conducting a more detailed investigation into the persuasive communication competencies of librarians and their role. Diverse approaches can provide a more comprehensive understanding of how librarians' persuasive communication competencies and performance influence library use.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah yang dihadapai oleh generasi milenial dan generasi Z adalah masalah keuangan. Pengetahuan yang minim terkait perencanaan dan pengelolaan keuangan bisa menjadi masalah lain bagi generasi Z. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pemahaman Gen-Z tentang pengelolaan keuangan pribadi agar bisa bermanfaat untuk masa depan. Siswa diberikan kuisioner sebelum dan setelah penyuluhan terkait pengetahuan tetnang pengelolaan keuangan,. Sebelum penyuluhan para siswa masih belum memahami bagaimana cara mengelola keuangan yang ada, lalu setelah adanya penyuluhan para siswa menyadari bahwa pengelolaan keuangan itu sangat penting dan bisa membawa dampak untuk ke depannya.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pentingnya manajemen konflik dalam organisasi. Organisasi merupakan sebuah kelompok yang terdiri dari berbagai macam individu dengan latar belakang, watak maupun potensi yang beragam. Kondisi ini membuat sebuah organisasi membutuhkan komunikasi untuk meminimalisir terjadinya kesalah fahaman yang dapat berujung pada konflik di dalam organisasi. Konflik yang terjadi dalam organisasi dapat diakibatkan oleh ketidaksesuaian peran dan ambiguitas dalam proses komunikasi. Dalam praktiknya, tidak jarang ditemukan bahwa penyebab terjadinya konflik adalah komunikasi yang kurang baik. Artikel ini merupakan penelitian yang mengadopsi studi kepustakaan (library research). Penelitian dengan studi kepustakaan berfokus pada pengumpulan data pustaka, dan informasi yang bersumber dari kepustakaan Artikel ini menganalisis lima jurnal lainnya terkait pentingnya manajemen konflik dalam organisasi. Masing-masing penelitian tersebut memberikan kesimpulan bahwa konflik dalam organisasi dapat dicegah bahkan diatasi dengan komunikasi yang efektif. Dalam pelaksanaan program-program sebuah organisasi, komunikasi berperan penting dalam pengimplementasian kegiatan-kegiatan pengelolaan konflik dalam organisasi. Komunikasi pun pada dasarnya juga memiliki peran informatif, peran regulasi, peran persuasi dan peran integratif dalam mengelola konflik yang ada di dalam sebuah organisasi.

Abstract

Kepemimpinan memiliki peran yang besar dalam memajukan dan mendukung kinerja sebuah organisasi. Dalam praktiknya, suatu organisasi akan berjalan dengan lebih baik dan terarah apabila mendapat dukungan penuh dari seorang pemimpin. Pemimpin dalam sebuah organisasi berperan dalam merumuskan visi, misi dan sasaran organisasi. Selain itu, pemimpin juga berperan dalam menentukan berbagai macam strategi pencapaian dari target organisasi serta mampu mengarahkan anggota-anggotanya dalam upaya pencapaian tujuan organisasi tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif melalui studi pustaka (library research). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan cara menghimpun dan menganalisis segala hal baik dari buku, artikel, maupun jurnal yang membahas terkait dengan komunikasi organisasi dan kepemimpinan. Berdasarkan hasil penelusuran yang telah dilakukan oleh penulis, maka didapati bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional sangat berperan penting dalam mendukung kinerja sebuah organisasi.

Abstract

Iklim komunikasi menjadi unsur yang penting dalam kegiatan organisasi terutama pada organisasi pemerintahan. Perubahan iklim komunikasi organisasi ini dapat memengaruhi kinerja dan produktivitas Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN). Artikel ini membahas pengaruh iklim komunikasi organisasi terhadap peningkatan kinerja ASN. Metode yang digunakan pada penulisan artikel ini adalah metode kualitatif melalui studi referensi (reference study). Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan oleh penulis ditemukan bahwa iklim komunikasi organisasi memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kinerja pegawai sehingga diperlukan iklim komunikasi yang kondusif yang berarti aman dan terkendali untuk mendukung peningkatan kinerja pegawai.

Abstract

This study explores the contemporary relevance of Islamic law in shaping the development of art and culture, highlighting the transition from traditional expressions to modern interpretations. It investigates how the normative principles of Sharia—including ethics, justice, moderation, and spiritual consciousness—interact with artistic creativity and local cultural identities in the modern era. Employing a qualitative-descriptive method supported by literature review and interpretative analysis, this research examines visual art, music, and performance as dynamic media for articulating Islamic values within pluralistic societies. The findings demonstrate that Islamic law, rather than serving merely as a normative restriction, provides an ethical framework that encourages innovation while safeguarding spiritual and moral authenticity. In contemporary practice, this integrative relationship fosters cultural resilience and enables the reinterpretation of Islamic aesthetics in a globalized context. Academically, this study contributes to the discourse on Islamic jurisprudence by offering an interdisciplinary perspective that connects Sharia principles with the philosophy of art and cultural studies. It enriches the understanding of how Islamic legal values can be contextualized to address modern cultural transformation without losing their foundational spirit. Ultimately, the research underscores the need for a balanced paradigm that harmonizes faith-based norms with creative expression, reaffirming Islamic law as a living source of ethical guidance in the realm of art and culture.

Abstract

Based on the Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 62 of 2010 concerning the Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN), BKKBN is a Non-Ministerial Government Institution under and responsible to the President. BKKBN has the duty and function to carry out population control and family planning as mandated in Article 56 of the above Law. In the context of population control and the implementation of family planning in the region, the local government forms the Regional Population and Family Planning Agency and has the smallest group of units at the village or sub-district level, namely the Rural Community Institution. Pulo Brayan Darat I is one of the villages in the East Medan sub-district with an area of 0.75 km² which is the village with the largest population of 21,148 people. Pulo Brayan Darat I is the villages with the largest number of PUS with a low rate of achievement of family planning participation. This is the main issue that needs more research and attention.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the use of Entertainment Education as instructional communication strategies applied in non-formal education in order to increasing the confidence of the learners. The method used in this study is qualitative method. The results of the data that obtained from in-depth interviews with informants then analyzed using Miles and Hubberman data analysis techniques. The purpose of this study is to give contribution to instructional communication studies especially with the uses of relational approach where the learners not only as receivers but also as a sources of informations at the end creates shared meanings with teachers in educational process. This is shown at the results of this study that indicate SKR teachers only act as fasilitator whereas the learners are more active to contribute to the point they freely suggest the content of study for the following weeks and choose the class as they want.

Abstract

Increasing public health awareness is an important strategic issue to be handled by local governments, especially in the Depok City area. This strategic issue is handled directly by the Depok City Health Service. This is a result of the lack of public health awareness, which is a challenge in health promotion efforts in Depok City. Several technical obstacles were encountered in the field related to limited technical capabilities in using software to create educational and promotional media using technology. This technical ability can be overcome by providing counseling and technical assistance using a selection of simple, smartphone-based tools. This training involved 60 health promoters from community health centers and regional hospitals in Depok City. The pretest results, which illustrate the success of the community service process, stated that 47.2% of health promotion workers rarely received multimedia training, and 17.85% felt that there had never been any multimedia training. Positive responses were given by the participants, as shown by the results of the implementation of 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional multimedia
