Abstract

Pertumbuhan kota yang pesat akibat urbanisasi seringkali menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan sosial, salah satunya meningkatnya jumlah masyarakat miskin yang tinggal di kawasan marginal seperti bantaran sungai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan mendeskripsikan kondisi kehidupan masyarakat miskin yang tinggal di permukiman bantaran Sungai Musi di Kelurahan Seberang Ulu 1 Kecamatan 3–4 Ulu RT 4 Kota Palembang. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena kawasan tersebut menunjukkan berbagai permasalahan sosial ekonomi seperti rendahnya pendapatan, keterbatasan pendidikan, kondisi hunian yang kurang layak, serta keterbatasan akses terhadap fasilitas dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara mendalam dengan masyarakat setempat, serta dokumentasi untuk memperoleh gambaran yang komprehensif mengenai kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar masyarakat bekerja pada sektor informal dengan pendapatan yang tidak menentu serta memiliki tingkat pendidikan yang relatif rendah. Kondisi hunian masyarakat juga masih tergolong sederhana dan rentan terhadap banjir, dengan keterbatasan akses terhadap sanitasi, air bersih, dan pengelolaan sampah. Meskipun demikian, masyarakat memiliki strategi bertahan hidup melalui usaha rumahan dan solidaritas sosial antarwarga. Temuan ini penting sebagai bahan pertimbangan bagi pemerintah dan pihak terkait dalam merumuskan kebijakan penanggulangan kemiskinan dan penataan permukiman di kawasan bantaran sungai.

Abstract

This article discusses the reconstruction of one of the fundamental concepts in ‘ulumul Qur’an, namely the theory of nasikh-mansukh, which has long been regarded by some classical scholars as definitive and unchanging. One of the figures undertaking this reconstruction is Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd. Nasr Hamid’s reconstruction of the concept of nasikh-mansukh is a response to the ongoing debate between groups that accept and those that reject the existence of nasikh-mansukh in the Qur’an. According to Nasr Hamid, one of the factors causing this debate is the interpretation of naskh as the abrogation or cancellation of a verse. For Nasr Hamid, such a meaning fails to reflect the universal nature of the Qur’an. The primary focus of the concept of naskh-mansukh, which also serves as a determining variable, as proposed by Nasr Hamid, lies in the aspect of context (siyaq). He argues that in determining which verses are naskh and which are mansukh, one should not rely on the chronological order of the verses’ revelation, but must instead consider the contextual analysis of the situation in which the verse was revealed. This is based on the assumption that every verse of the Qur’an was revealed within a socio-cultural context relevant to the needs of society at that time. Therefore, he interprets naskh not as abrogation or revocation, but rather as the replacement (ibdal) of one verse with another, which occurs due to changes in circumstances and conditions that cause the application of that verse to be temporarily suspended until it is reintroduced in accordance with the prevailing conditions.

Abstract

Communication style is a way for individuals to communicate, interact, and behave with the aim of providing understanding to others, both verbally and non-verbally, conveyed by a communicator (sender) to a communicant (receiver) with the same purpose under certain conditions. The communication style of Instagram celebrity Cherry Aprilina in promoting products is carried out through agreements between the celebrity and business owners with the purpose of attracting customers or potential buyers by utilizing the services of a social media influencer. The main focus of this study is to answer the question: How is Cherry Aprilina’s communication style in product endorsement on Instagram social media. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The data collection techniques include observation of Cherry Aprilina’s Instagram social media account and data analysis techniques in the form of words or statements, both written and spoken, that were systematically arranged and previously collected. Based on the findings observed from Cherry Aprilina’s Instagram account, there is evidence of interpersonal communication carried out by Cherry Aprilina in interacting with her followers on Instagram by applying Robert Norton’s communication style theory and Steward L. Tubbs & Sylvia’s communication style theory in product endorsement on social media. The communication style aspects most frequently used by Cherry Aprilina in promoting products are friendly, relaxed, animated expressive, attentive, and open. Meanwhile, the communication style categories proposed by Steward L. Tubbs & Sylvia that are reflected in her endorsements include The Controlling Style, The Equalitarian Style, and The Structuring Style
