Abstract

The scope of implementation of lactation management starts from the pregnancy period, after delivery, and the baby's breastfeeding period. Lactation is the entire breastfeeding process starting from the production of breast milk to the process of the baby sucking and swallowing the breast milk. Babies who are exclusively breastfed have good perinatal growth and reduce obesity. Breastfeeding a baby on demand can increase levels of the hormone oxytocin in a mother's body postpartum and avoid the risk of swelling or dams/blockages in the nipple ducts during the lactation period (Sutanto, 2018). This research aims to analyze the relationship between postpartum mothers' knowledge about breast care and the smooth production of breast milk in Jatimulyo Village, Serdang Bedagai Regency in 2023. This research is correlational with a cross sectional approach and bivariate data analysis is data analysis used in research to determine the relationship or influence of variables independent (independent) with a dependent (dependent) variable using Chi Square analysis with a significant p-value (0.05) (Hardani, 2020)Based on the research results. Based on the results of statistical tests using Chi-Square, it was obtained with a p value of 0.001 that there was a relationship between the knowledge of postpartum mothers regarding breast care and the smooth production of breast milk in Jatimulyo Village, Serdang Bedagai Regency in 2023.This means that there is a relationship between the knowledge of postpartum mothers about breast care and the smooth production of breast milk in Jatimulyo Village, Serdang Bedagai Regency in 2023.

Abstract

Factors that influence anxiety in pregnant women include lack of family support, financial adequacy, stress from the environment, high frequency of nausea and vomiting (physical health factors of pregnant women), attitudes towards pregnancy and ability to control pregnancy, good adjustment process to pregnancy. physically and psychosocially, as well as information about frightening birth experiences from the environment. (Andriana, 2016) This research aims to determine the influence of the class of pregnant women on anxiety among primigravida mothers in Parmonangan Village, Samosir Regency in 2023. This research uses a quantitative research design using correlational research and a cross-sectional approach, the population and sample size are primigravida mothers with a gestational age of 8-37 weeks in Parmonangan Village, Samosir Regency, namely 40 people using the total sampling method in April-June 2023. Analysis uses the Chi Square test for significance and if the p-value is > 0.05. Based on the results of the Chi Square statistical test research, the p value = 0.001, so p > 0.05, means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is a relationship between the class of pregnant women and primigravida anxiety at the Tanjung Pura District Hospital, Langkat Regency based on Spearman's rho calculations with ᾳ = 0.05, a p value of 0.010 is obtained because the p value < ᾳ means that the test results are statistically significant, or reject Ho. described that pregnant women who attended classes for pregnant women had mild levels of anxiety. It is hoped that this will provide information about the implementation of pregnancy classes for primigravida mothers in reducing anxiety about their pregnancy

Abstract

In Indonesia, the incidence of stunting among toddlers is still high. The results of the Republic of Indonesia Basic Health Research (RISKESDAS) in 2018 showed that around 30.8% of children under five were stunted. This figure makes stunting in Indonesia a serious problem because the WHO recommendation for the incidence of stunting in children is less than 20%, if the prevalence of stunting is 30-39% then it is categorized as a serious problem. Based on the results of community service activities carried out in the Padang Bulan sub-district, it is known that family knowledge regarding preventing stunting in toddlers is still quite low, so it is necessary to carry out family development towards preventing stunting in toddlers. After the coaching was carried out, it was discovered that there was an increase in the family's knowledge and ability to prevent and reduce the risk of stunting in toddlers. It is hoped that they will form and implement stunting prevention programs for toddlers to increase mothers' knowledge about stunting and parenting patterns for feeding toddlers.

Abstract

Background Background LBW is still a concern for public health throughout the world and is associated with a number of short-term and long-term problems. More than 20 million births each year are estimated to be LBW, accounting for 15% to 20% of all births globally. In poor countries, the LBW birth rate is 16.5%, while in industrial countries it is 7%. Babies with low birth weight (LBW) may experience a number of problems and complications at birth. Metabolic problems, especially hypothermia, may appear in the short term. Method The research used is quantitative, information about what you want to know is examined using numerical data through a retrospective survey. Conducting a retrospective survey is one method of collecting historical data. This research uses a cross-sectional strategy. The sample for this in-depth research was all 60 mothers who gave birth at Sapta Medika Hospital. Analysis data using univariate and bivariate analysis. From the results of statistical tests it was found that p.value = 0.004 and α = 0.05, where the value of P.value (0.004) < α (0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between maternal age and the incidence of low birth weight (LBW) babies. ). Where the P value (0.019) < α (0.005), so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between maternal parity and the incidence of low birth weight (LBW) babies. Where the P.value (0.001) < α (0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between maternal nutritional status and the incidence of low birth weight (LBW) babies.

Abstract

Menopause is the phase where menstruation stops for a woman. Menopause is caused by the loss of function of the ovarian follicles and a decrease in estrogen levels in the blood circulation. The menopausal transition period can occur gradually, usually starting with changes in the menstrual cycle. This transition period is called perimenopause. Perimenopause can last several years and can affect physical, emotional, mental and social well-being. So physical and mental preparation is needed to face this transition period. The aim of this community service is to provide education about menopause and prepare mothers as early as possible to face the menopause period. This activity was carried out in Sungai Jernih Hamlet, RT 10, Bajubang District, Batanghari Regency. Educational activities are carried out using lecture and discussion methods using leaflet media. The results of this activity showed that there was an increase in the level of maternal knowledge in the good category in the pre-test from 4 respondents (21%) to 16 respondents (84.2%) in the post-test results. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in knowledge among mothers before and after being given education about preparations for facing menopause.

Abstract

The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Sembahe Baru Village has not met the target (<70%). Limitations in manpower and time among health center staff or healthcare workers in Sembahe Baru Village hinder their ability to educate, monitor, and motivate mothers in providing exclusive breastfeeding. Additionally, many cadres remain inactive, and postpartum mothers often lack knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding, making them easily influenced by others. The community engagement activities were conducted in several stages: preparation, socialization of the community engagement activities, and surveys for collecting supporting data; training on using the ASIVroom application; application implementation; and monitoring progress and evaluation. Cadre training was conducted using Victor Vroom's theoretical approach to enhance cadre motivation. This approach emphasizes three key concepts: (1) Expectancy: The belief that a given effort will result in a desired behavior. (2) Valence: The value or significance of the outcomes resulting from specific behaviors, perceived as motivational force by individuals. (3) Instrumentality: The perception that achieving the first-level or best outcome will lead to further results. The ASIVroom application was introduced to breastfeeding mothers, cadres, and healthcare workers, enabling them to utilize the application effectively. Statistical analysis revealed that the education provided significantly improved mothers' knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding (p < 0.05). Evaluation of partner skills indicated that:(1) 62.5% of cadres found the ASIVroom application easy to use. (2) 53.1% rated the accessibility of information within the application as good.
