Abstract

Adanya Permen PANRB Nomor 16 Tahun 2009 Tentang Jabatan Fungsional Guru dan Angka Kreditnya menjadi motivasi tersendiri bagi para guru untuk meningkatkan kompetensi diri dan menghasilkan publikasi karya ilmiah. PkM berupa pelatihan diberikan kepada guru SMA di Kabupaten Bengkayang oleh tim PkM FMIPA Universitas Tanjungpura dengan tujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam membuat karya tulis ilmiah terutama untuk pencarian referensi yang relevan, serta praktik penggunaan software mendeley guna otomatisasi daftar pustaka, sehingga karya tulis ilmiah yang dihasilkan dapat berkualitas. Pelaksanaan PkM dilakukan secara sistematis, mulai dari survei permasalahan, perumusan solusi, pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan sebanyak 2 kali, yaitu sebelum dan setelah materi pelatihan disampaikan, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pemahaman peserta pelatihan. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi didapatkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta pelatihan dalam penulisan karya tulis ilmiah dan penggunaan software mendeley sebesar 18,5%, yaitu dari 53,5% menjadi 72%.

Abstract

Kompetensi guru merupakan keandalan yang harus dimiliki oleh seorang guru untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi dan memenuhi apa yang menjadi kebutuhannya. Peningkatan kompetensi wajib dilakukan oleh seorang guru sehingga guru dapat beradaptasi dengan perubahan yang ada, baik perubahan peraturan, teknologi, maupun kondisi sosial, selain itu karena mengingat peran guru yang menjadi agent of change. Salah satu peningkatan kompetensi yang harus dipenuhi oleh seorang guru adalah pengembangan diri dalam membuat karya tulis ilmiah yang bersumber dari penelitian, dan kemudian dipublikasikan sehingga dapat memberikan manfaat. Banyak manfaat yang dapat diterima oleh seorang guru atas publikasi yang dibuat seperti keberlanjutan profesi guru dalam jenjang karir, sebagai inspirasi bagi guru-guru lain dan contoh baik bagi peserta didik. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Universitas Tanjungpura dilakukan untuk memberikan insight positif dan tambahan pengetahuan bagi guru-guru SMA di Kabupaten Bengkayang, Kalimantan Barat. PKM yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam menghasilkan karya ilmiah yang sebelumnya menjadi kendala bagi sekelompok guru tingkat SMA di Kabupaten Bengkayang. Terdapat tiga sesi dalam PKM ini pertama yaitu penyampaian materi tentang teknik penelusuran literatur, kedua teknik penulisan sitasi dan daftar pustaka, dan terakhir teknik mengindari plagiasi. Secara keseluruhan PKM yang dilakukan oleh FMIPA Universitas Tanjungpura berjalan dengan lancar, dibuktikan dengan antusiasme peserta PKM melalui tanya jawab dan menghadiri kegiatan PKM secara sempurna.

Abstract

Humic acid is a fraction of humic compounds that are part of soil organic matter. In this research, humic acid is extracted from oil palm empty fruit bunches compost. Compost is made from the process of counting the empty oil palm bunches, which are composted until the compost is cooked. The humic acid extraction process uses a strong base extraction method. The principle of humic acid extraction is to dissolve the humic compound with a base solution and then separate it by adding an acid solution (HCl solution). The extraction of humic acid from oil palm empty fruit bunches compost produced blackish-brown humic acid with a yield of 4.895%. The result showed that the main functional group content of palm oil empty fruit bunches compost humic acid was the -OH group and phenol group which had a conjugated carbonyl group and a more aliphatic humic acid structure. Quantitatively, the functional groups of humic acid functional groups each amounted to a total acidity of 7,400 cmol/kg, a carboxylic group of 520 cmol/kg, and a phenolic -OH group content of 6,880 cmol/kg. Research results show that oil palm empty fruit bunches compost can be used as a source of humic acid.

Abstract

Beta-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) is a compound used as a basic material for making bio-scaffolds and applied for controlled drug delivery and bone regeneration. This material has the advantages of osteoconductivity and biodegradability. However, this material has weaknesses in its antimicrobial properties, so it requires adding other ingredients to increase its ability, such as NpAg. This research aims to obtain β-TCP/NpAg, which has antimicrobial properties. This research started with NpAg, made β-TCP from a combination of Ca(OH)2 and H3PO4 synthesized β-TCP/NpAg, and tested antimicrobial activity using the disc method. The results of this study show that β-TCP has XRD characteristics in the diffraction pattern, such as 21,541, 25,339, 27,619, 30,881, 32,179, and 34,231. In addition, β-TCP/NpAg has XRD characteristics in the diffraction pattern, such as 25.90, 26.67, 27.95, 29.65, 31.17, 32.61, and 34.47, with the highest peak at 31.17, which is the diffraction pattern of NpAg. The antimicrobial β-TCP/NpAg results showed the ability to inhibit the test microbes by 84.37% on S. aureus, 95.17% on E. coli, and 38.83% on C. albicans.

Abstract

Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) have been synthesized using Rhoeo discolor leaf extract as a reducing and stabilizing agent. AgNPs were synthesized by adding silver nitrate to the extract of Rhoeo discolor and incubating it in a boiling water bath. The change in color of the mixture from clear to yellow indicated AgNPs formation. The synthesized AgNPs were spherical and showed an absorption peak at around 410-420 nm. The size of particles was distributed from 92 to 485 nm with an average size of 176 nm, and the polydispersity index was 0.185. The stability test showed that synthesized AgNPs were stable for three months of storage at ambient temperature. The extract of Rhoeo discolor were responsible for reducing silver ion and stabilizing the synthesized AgNPs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui sektor unggulan, non unggulan, dan daya saing sektor di Kabupaten Kepulauan Seribu, Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Alat analisis yang digunakan, yaitu: (1). Analisis Static Location Quotient (SLQ), (2). Analisis Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), (3). Analisis Gabungan SLQ dan DLQ, (4). Analisis Indeks Spesialisasi (IS), dan (5). Analisis Shift Share. Data yang digunakan adalah data PDRB Kabupaten Kepulauan Seribu dan Provinsi DKI Jakarta Atas Dasar Harga Konstan 2010 Menurut Lapangan Usaha (Miliar Rupiah) Tahun 2017-2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada tiga sektor unggulan: (1). Sektor pertambangan dan penggalian, (2). Sektor pertanian, kehutanan, dan perikanan, dan (3). Sektor pengadaan air, pengelolaan sampah, limbah dan daur ulang. Hasil analisis Proportional shift dan Differential Shift dalam analisis Shift Share menunjukkan tiga sektor bernilai positif (1). Sektor pengadaan air, pengelolaan sampah, limbah dan daur ulang, (2). Sektor Jasa Keuangan dan Asuransi, dan (3). Sektor Jasa Pendidikan menunjukkan pertumbuhan pesat dibandingkan sektor lain.

Abstract

The type of pavement used in Indonesia is generally flexible pavement. Porous asphalt is one of the flexible pavement layers. Porous asphalt is a mixture of asphalt concrete with a high content of air voids in the mixture. The purpose of the study was to determine the composition and characteristics of porous asphalt with coffee shell substitution as a filler. Aggregate gradation used open gradation or uniform graded with variations in asphalt content of 3.2%, 3.7%, 4.2%, 4.7% and 5.2% before being substituted for coffee shells, using 60/70 penetration asphalt as a binder. The results of testing and calculation of Marshall parameters to determine KAO, obtained an optimum asphalt content of 4.7% with a stability value of 804 kg, flow 3.3 mm, VIM 19.2%, and MQ 249.4 kg/m. After the KAO was obtained, the specimens were made with variations of coffee shell substitution of 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2% and 2.5%. Marshall test results obtained the optimum composition of coffee shell content at 1% composition with a stability value of 1474 kg, flow 3.1 mm, VIM 13.8%, and MQ 475.6 kg/m. The optimum coffee shell content is determined by the results of the ups and downs of a graph. The test results are evidenced by the increase in the value of the graph on the value of stability, flow, and MQ.

Abstract

Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) is one of the waste products of palm oil processing that can be processed into a biochar. POME biochar contains high levels of nutrient, such as NPK which can be used an alternative potassium source material. This study aims to produced biochar from POME and the influence of pyrolysis time on the characteristics and its kinetic release. Biochar production from POME was conducted at 300oC with pyrolysis time variation of 1 hour, 3 hours and 5 hours. Biochar characterization was conducted using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscope-Energy Dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX), Surface Area Analysis (SAA). Study of potassium release was conducted by mixing one gram amount of biochar with 0.01 M CaCl2 as a function of time. The used kinetics modelling in this study are first-order, second-order, pseudo-first order, pseudo-second orde. The results showed that the biochar yield decreased, while the biochar pH value, exchangeable potassium, non-exchangeable potassium  and surface area increased with the increasing of pyrolysis time. The pseudo- second order model is the most fitted model to describe the potassium release. The pseudo-second order kinetics model gave K release rates of 0.018; 0.024; 0.020; 0.014 (mg g-1min-1), the qe values are 0.814; 0.839; 0.927; 1.111 (mg g-1), respectively.

Abstract

Koperasi Konsumen Padaidi Sipatuo Khatulistiwa yang telah beranggotakan 30 orang memiliki potensi tenaga kerja dan potensi pasar dalam merintis unit usaha dan pemasarannya. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah menjajaki jenis usaha yang mudah, biaya murah dan dapat digunakan oleh berbagai lapisan masyarakat, salah satunya adalah pengolahan sumber daya alam menjadi produk yang bernilai ekonomi. Salah satu potensi yang dapat dikembangkan adalah pemanfaatan kelapa dalam proses pembuatan Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). VCO merupakan salah satu produk yang memiliki beragam manfaat, selain digunakan untuk menggoreng makanan, ternyata untuk keperluan kesehatan VCO dapat mencegah penyakit jantung, kanker, diabetes, memperbaiki pencernaan, meningkatkan sistem kekebalan tubuh, mencegah infeksi virus HIV, dan SARS. Potensi ini tentunya dapat dikembangkan oleh anggota koperasi, selain untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sendiri ataupun dapat dipasarkan sebagai salah satu jenis usaha produksi dan penjualan bagi Koperasi Konsumen Padaidi Sipatuo Khatulistiwa. Pelaksanaan PKM berlangsung di lokasi salah satu peserta yang merupakan anggota Koperasi Konsumsi Padaidi Sipatuo Khatulistiwa. Peserta yang hadir dalam kegiatan tersebut sebanyak 12 orang yang merupakan perwakilan dari anggota koperasi tersebut. Kegiatan PKM diawali dengan sambutan dari Perwakilan TIM PKM dan Ketua Koperasi, dilanjutkan pemaparan tentang Pembuatan VCO dari Kelapa Dalam. Pada materi ini juga dijelaskan bagaimana manfaat VCO bagi kesehatan dan kendala apa saja yang dihadapi dalam pembuatan VCO. Hasil kegiatan akan dipublikasikan pada jurnal pengabdian atau dalam bentuk hak cipta film dokumenter.

Abstract

This study evaluates the use of POFA (Palm Oil Fuel Ash) and Fly Ash as fillers in Asphalt Concrete-Binder Course (AC-BC) mixtures. POFA was sourced from palm oil processing plants, while Fly Ash was obtained from coal-fired power plants. The research aims to identify the optimal filler composition by varying the proportions of POFA and Fly Ash, ranging from 0% to 100% POFA. Marshall parameter tests were conducted to assess stability, flow, VIM (Void in Mix), VMA (Void in Mineral Aggregate), and Marshall Quotient. The results show that POFA significantly improves the stability of the asphalt mixture compared to Fly Ash, with the highest stability observed at 100% POFA. However, increasing the amount of POFA also led to higher VIM values, indicating more air voids within the asphalt mixture, which could affect its long-term durability. The combined use of POFA and Fly Ash as fillers demonstrates that both can be utilized in AC-BC asphalt mixtures without compromising quality or failing to meet the 2018 Bina Marga specifications. The study concludes that POFA is a viable alternative filler for asphalt mixtures, particularly for improving the stability and performance of surface layers in road construction.
