Abstract

The use of biological reductants has been identified as a more environmentally friendly approach in nanoparticle synthesis than the use of chemical reductants, which can produce hazardous waste. The aims of this study were synthesize silver nanoparticles using fern leaf extract (Stenochlaena sp.) as a bioreductor and stabilizing/protecting agent, as well as to test the stability of the resulting silver nanoparticles and perform characterization. Synthesis of silver nanoparticles involves the reaction of a silver nitrate solution with a fern leaf extract solution in boiling water. Stability of the silver nanoparticles as observed over a period of one month indicated a decline in stability. FTIR spectrum analysis demonstrated indicating a direct involvement of the extract in the reduction process as well as the presence of Ag-O bonds in the FTIR spectrum of silver nanoparticles. TEM analysis revealed that the size of the silver nanoparticles ranged from 3 to 16 nanometers, with a relatively spherical morphology. PSA demonstrated that the silver nanoparticles had a zeta potential value of +12.7 mV. This study offers insight into the potential of fern leaf extract as a bioreductor in the synthesis of silver nanoparticles and the physical chemical characteristics of the resulting nanoparticles.

Abstract

Di mulai dari rancangan yang sebelumnya, yaitu peracangannya menggunakan PLC sebagai pengendalinya. Dimana masih banyak mengalami kekurangandan pin dari PLC masih banyak yang tidak terpakai serta dalam pemograman mendapatkan kesulitan di karena kesulitan untuk mencari kabel koneks ipenghubung ke komputer yang sudah jarang di gunakan di dunia industry, pemograman juga membutuhkan tenaga professional, sedangkan untuk pemograman pada mikrokontoler simple dan sudah banyak berkembang di situs social internet. Dalam rancang ulang ini dibuat mesin pengisi botol otomatis mengunakan mikrokontroler sebagai pengendali yang diaplikasikan pada industry rumah tangga yang bertujuan untuk membantu industry kecil lebih berkembang dan dapat bersaing didunia industri. Proses pengisian dan penutupan botol dilakukan secara otomatis dan efisien agar mendapatkan hasil produksi yang optimal. Dengan jumlah modal yang relative murah dan mudah cara pemogramannya lebih sederhana. Perancangan ulang mesin pengisi botol otomatis ini dapat dilakukan dengan cara merubah pengendalinya dari PLC kemikrokontroler, Pada system ini kita dapat mengontrol volume air berdasarkan timer yang telah di-set.botol yang di isi dapat kita batasi dalam jumlah tertentu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mencoba melihat naskah Orang-Orang Setia karya Iswadi Pratama bukan lagi sebagai sebuah drama tetapi sebagai mesin kritik sosial. Fokusnya bukan sekadar membedah alur, melainkan melihat bagaimana dramaturgi realis-simbolik di dalamnya membenturkan nasib manusia-manusia marginal dengan tembok kekuasaan yang dingin. Tujuannya adalah untuk menelusuri bagaimana ketegangan dibangun secara pelan tapi pasti melalui dialog antara Rahman dan Sarmin. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan interpretative serta analisis tekstual, setiap elemen dibedah ,mulai dari pemicu konflik yang ganjil hingga klimaks yang menyesakkan. Hasilnya menunjukkan sebuah temuan menarik: naskah ini tidak digerakkan oleh satu orang, melainkan oleh dua tokoh utama yang saling mengunci dalam satu pusaran alur. Struktur ini ternyata bukan cuma soal urusan teknis panggung, tapi adalah ‘senjata’ artistik yang sengaja dirancang untuk menelanjangi ironi penggusuran serta carut-marut ketidakadilan sistemik. Temuan ini pada akhirnya menegaskan bahwa kekuatan naskah ini terletak pada arsitektur dramanya yang mampu bicara jujur soal isu sosial tanpa harus kehilangan bobot estetikanya dalam lanskap teater realis Indonesia.

Abstract

This study developed a microfluidic paper-based analytical device (µPAD) immobilized with p-hydroxybenzoic acid capped silver nanoparticles (AgNPs-PHB) for the colorimetric detection of paraquat (PQ) in water samples. The synthesized AgNPs-PHB exhibited favorable properties, including a nanoscale size (68.5 nm by DLS, 20 nm by TEM), high stability (zeta potential of -53 mV), and a spherical morphology, as confirmed by UV-Vis spectroscopy, PSA, and TEM analysis. The µPAD platform utilized a wax-printed hydrophobic barrier to direct sample flow, enabling a simple and cost-effective detection method. Upon interaction with PQ, AgNPs-PHB underwent aggregation, resulting in a visible color change from yellow to gray, which was quantified using ImageJ software for RGB analysis. The method demonstrated excellent linearity (R2 = 0.9917 for red intensity) across a concentration range of 0.001 - 0.01 M, with a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.00060 M and a limit of quantification (LOQ) of 0.0020 M. Precision tests revealed high repeatability and reproducibility, with intraday and interday %RSD values below 2%. Recovery studies in tap water, drainage water, and well water samples spiked with PQ yielded accurate results (99.7–102.5%), validating the method’s reliability. Compared to conventional techniques, this µPAD-based approach offers a portable, environmentally friendly, and sensitive alternative for monitoring PQ contamination in environmental water samples, making it suitable for field applications.

Abstract

Kompetensi guru merupakan keandalan yang harus dimiliki oleh seorang guru untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi dan memenuhi apa yang menjadi kebutuhannya. Peningkatan kompetensi wajib dilakukan oleh seorang guru sehingga guru dapat beradaptasi dengan perubahan yang ada, baik perubahan peraturan, teknologi, maupun kondisi sosial, selain itu karena mengingat peran guru yang menjadi agent of change. Salah satu peningkatan kompetensi yang harus dipenuhi oleh seorang guru adalah pengembangan diri dalam membuat karya tulis ilmiah yang bersumber dari penelitian, dan kemudian dipublikasikan sehingga dapat memberikan manfaat. Banyak manfaat yang dapat diterima oleh seorang guru atas publikasi yang dibuat seperti keberlanjutan profesi guru dalam jenjang karir, sebagai inspirasi bagi guru-guru lain dan contoh baik bagi peserta didik. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Universitas Tanjungpura dilakukan untuk memberikan insight positif dan tambahan pengetahuan bagi guru-guru SMA di Kabupaten Bengkayang, Kalimantan Barat. PKM yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam menghasilkan karya ilmiah yang sebelumnya menjadi kendala bagi sekelompok guru tingkat SMA di Kabupaten Bengkayang. Terdapat tiga sesi dalam PKM ini pertama yaitu penyampaian materi tentang teknik penelusuran literatur, kedua teknik penulisan sitasi dan daftar pustaka, dan terakhir teknik mengindari plagiasi. Secara keseluruhan PKM yang dilakukan oleh FMIPA Universitas Tanjungpura berjalan dengan lancar, dibuktikan dengan antusiasme peserta PKM melalui tanya jawab dan menghadiri kegiatan PKM secara sempurna.

Abstract

A workshop on the use of supporting applications for the publication of scientific papers has been carried out for Chemistry subject teachers. This activity is in collaboration with the Chemistry Subject Teachers' Conference (MGMP) of Kubu Raya Senior High Schools. This activity aims to utilize the application for compiling bibliographies and checking the similarity of scientific papers to facilitate the writing and publication of scientific papers. The method of implementing the Community Service (PKM) program is through: structural, participatory and instructional approaches; demonstration; practice and mentoring, and evaluation. The results obtained in the form of implementing a one-day workshop activity by presenting research method materials, library search tips and utilization of the Mendeley application, plagiarism checking applications and tips for avoiding plagiarism.The workshop was conducted in the form of a presentation and direct practice of using the application. In addition to being accompanied by the presenters, participants are also accompanied by instructors who have been prepared by the committee so that the activity can run smoothly. In order to increase the interest and attention of participants to participate in the activity, the organizing committee provides door prizes for participants who ask and answer quizzes from the presenters. This method can also be used as an evaluation of the level of understanding of participants in addition to the evaluation in the form of questionnaires distributed after the activity to measure the success of this PKM activity. Based on the questionnaires distributed, participants thought that this activity was very helpful in compiling scientific papers so that it was very useful for participants. Most participants considered that the facilities and training time were in accordance with those conveyed by the presenters who were in accordance with their fields. Overall, it can be concluded that the objectives of implementing this PKM have been achieved.

Abstract

Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were synthesized using kitolod (Isotoma longiflora Presi) leaf extract as a bioreductor. This research aims to investigate the ability of extracts to act as reducing agents in the formation of AgNPs and to characterize the resulting AgNPs. The synthesis was carried out under the following conditions: pH of extract 12, reaction time 90 minutes, silver nitrate concentration 2 × 10-4 M, and extract concentration 0.08%. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra confirmed the involvement of phytochemicals in the reduction of Ag+ to Ag0. The synthesized AgNPs were spherical, with an absorption peak at around 420 nm, an average particle size of 67.38 nm, a zeta potential of -23.6 mV, and a polydispersity index (PDI) of 0.697. Stability testing showed that the synthesized AgNPs remained stable for two months at room temperature.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan optimasi dan validasi metode penentuan asam glikolat dan asam laktat dalam krim menggunakan kromatografi cair kinerja tinggi. Pemisahan asam glikolat dan asam laktat dilakukan pada kolom fasa balik C-8menggunakan fasa gerak asam ortofosfat 0,1% dengan pH 3,5 dan detektor UV-Visible. Standar asam glikolat dan asam laktat dibuat dengan melarutkannya menggunakan asam ortofosfat 0,1% pH 3,5. Hasil eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa pada rentang konsentrasi 25 – 400 μg/mL, asam glikolat dan asam laktat memiliki kurva yang linear dengan koefisien korelasi masing-masing 0,9997 dan 0,9999. Uji presisi untuk larutan standar berkonsentrasi 100 µg/mL menghasilkan simpangan baku relatif sebesar 1,49% untuk asam glikolat dan 1,72% untuk asam laktat. Metode yang telah dioptimasi memberikan akurasi yang baik yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai perolehan kembali dari pengukuran tiga spiked sample dengan konsentrasi berbeda (50, 100, dan 150 μg/mL). Nilai perolehan kembali untuk masing-masing konsentrasi spiked sample adalah 97,12% ± 0,69; 98,76% ± 0,43; 100,80% ± 0,29 untuk asam glikolat dan 97,58% ± 0,39; 96,20% ± 0,68; 98,00% ± 0,38 untuk asam laktat. Batas deteksi dan batas kuantisasi untuk asam glikolat adalah 0,05 dan 0,17 μg/mL, sedangkan untuk asam laktat adalah 1,40 dan 4,67 μg/mL. Nilai kekasaran metode untuk asam glikolat pada hari pertama dan hari kedua adalah 1,43% dan 1,67%, sedangkan untuk asam laktat adalah 1,67% dan 1,25%. Metode yang telah dioptimasi dan divalidasi berpotensi untuk digunakan secara spesifik pada penentuan kadar asam glikolat dan asam laktat dalam krim.Optimization and Validation of Determination Methods of Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid in Cream Using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography. A high-performance liquid chromatography analytical method for the determination of glycolic acid and lactic acid in creams has been optimized and validated. The separation was performed in a reverse phase C–8 column with a mobile phase of 0.1%, orthophosphoric acid at pH 3.5, and UV-Visible detector. The standard of glycolic acid and lactic acid was dissolved in 0.1% orthophosphoric acid at pH 3.5. The experimental results showed that in the concentration range of 25–400 μg/mL, glycolic acid and lactic acid showed a linear curve with a correlation coefficient of 0.9997 and 0.9999, respectively. The precision test for standard solutions containing 100 µg/mL resulted in a relative standard deviation of 1.49% for glycolic acid and 1.72% for lactic acid. The optimized method provided good accuracy indicated by the recovery of the measurement of three spiked samples in different concentrations (50, 100, and 150 μg/mL). The recovery for each concentration of the spiked sample was 97.12% ± 0.69; 98.76% ± 0.43; 100.80% ± 0.29 for glycolic acid and 97.58% ± 0.39; 96.20% ± 0.68; 98.00% ± 0.38 for lactic acid. The limit of detection and limit of quantization for glycolic acid was 0.05 and 0.17 μg/mL, and for lactic acid was 1.40 and 4.67 μg/mL. The ruggedness of the method for glycolic acid on the first day and second day was 1.43% and 1.67%, while for lactic acid, it was 1.67% and 1.25%. The method that has been optimized and validated shows the potential to be used specifically for the determination of glycolic acid and lactic acid in the cream.

Abstract

Humic acid (HA) in water can harm humans if it is regularly used or consumed. HA causes problems in the water, such as color, taste, and the formation of metal complexes. Therefore, it is necessary to degrade HA to address these problems. In this study, HA degradation was carried out using bismuth-doped TiO2 (Bi-TiO2) as a photocatalyst. The effect of Bi-TiO2 synthesized at various Bi concentrations and calcination temperatures on HA degradation was investigated and compared to pristine TiO2. Bi-TiO2 was synthesized via the sol-gel method and characterized using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy UV-Visible (DRS UV-Vis), and Fourrier Transform-Infra Red (FT-IR) Spectroscopy. The XRD analysis showed that the optimum calcination temperature was 500oC, with the highest crystallinity index (62.04%) and smallest crystallite size (11.95 nm). The DRS UV-Vis analysis showed that Bi-TiO2 1.5% led to the lowest band gap of 1.59 eV (λ = 782.33 nm), indicating that the photocatalyst was active under visible light irradiation. The FT-IR analysis showed an adsorption peak from the Bi-O bond at 802.39 cm-1, which caused a shift in the Ti-O-Ti adsorption peak. The photodegradation test was conducted using a 30 mL volume of HA solution 50 ppm and a 50 mg mass of catalyst. The results showed that Bi-TiO2 1.5% exhibited the highest efficiency in degrading HA, achieving 68.54% under visible light irradiation for 180 minutes. These results suggest the potential of Bi-TiO2 as an alternative method for treating HA in peat water using visible light irradiation.
