Abstract

Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are well known for their unique physicochemical properties and have been widely applied in sensing technologies, particularly as colorimetric sensors for metal ions. In this study, AgNPs were synthesized using p-hydroxybenzoic acid, which functioned as both a reducing and capping agent to ensure controlled particle growth and stability. The aim was to develop a simple and sensitive method for detecting Ni²⁺ ions using these AgNPs, with glycine added as a ligand to enhance the sensing performance. The detection was based on observable color changes and absorbance shifts in the UV-Vis spectrum resulting from interaction between AgNPs and Ni²⁺ ions. The results showed that the presence of glycine significantly enhanced the AgNPs’ response to Ni²⁺, indicating a synergistic effect that improved detection sensitivity. The method demonstrated good linearity, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.993. The calculated limit of detection (LOD) was 3.0 × 10⁻⁴ M, and the limit of quantification (LOQ) was 9.9 × 10⁻⁴ M. Precision analysis showed that the percent relative standard deviation (%RSD) was within acceptable limits, remaining below two-thirds of the coefficient of variation (%CV) defined by the Horwitz equation. These findings confirm that the modified AgNP-based system is both reliable and effective for the colorimetric detection of Ni²⁺ ions in solution.

Abstract

The use of biological reductants has been identified as a more environmentally friendly approach in nanoparticle synthesis than the use of chemical reductants, which can produce hazardous waste. The aims of this study were synthesize silver nanoparticles using fern leaf extract (Stenochlaena sp.) as a bioreductor and stabilizing/protecting agent, as well as to test the stability of the resulting silver nanoparticles and perform characterization. Synthesis of silver nanoparticles involves the reaction of a silver nitrate solution with a fern leaf extract solution in boiling water. Stability of the silver nanoparticles as observed over a period of one month indicated a decline in stability. FTIR spectrum analysis demonstrated indicating a direct involvement of the extract in the reduction process as well as the presence of Ag-O bonds in the FTIR spectrum of silver nanoparticles. TEM analysis revealed that the size of the silver nanoparticles ranged from 3 to 16 nanometers, with a relatively spherical morphology. PSA demonstrated that the silver nanoparticles had a zeta potential value of +12.7 mV. This study offers insight into the potential of fern leaf extract as a bioreductor in the synthesis of silver nanoparticles and the physical chemical characteristics of the resulting nanoparticles.

Abstract

Di mulai dari rancangan yang sebelumnya, yaitu peracangannya menggunakan PLC sebagai pengendalinya. Dimana masih banyak mengalami kekurangandan pin dari PLC masih banyak yang tidak terpakai serta dalam pemograman mendapatkan kesulitan di karena kesulitan untuk mencari kabel koneks ipenghubung ke komputer yang sudah jarang di gunakan di dunia industry, pemograman juga membutuhkan tenaga professional, sedangkan untuk pemograman pada mikrokontoler simple dan sudah banyak berkembang di situs social internet. Dalam rancang ulang ini dibuat mesin pengisi botol otomatis mengunakan mikrokontroler sebagai pengendali yang diaplikasikan pada industry rumah tangga yang bertujuan untuk membantu industry kecil lebih berkembang dan dapat bersaing didunia industri. Proses pengisian dan penutupan botol dilakukan secara otomatis dan efisien agar mendapatkan hasil produksi yang optimal. Dengan jumlah modal yang relative murah dan mudah cara pemogramannya lebih sederhana. Perancangan ulang mesin pengisi botol otomatis ini dapat dilakukan dengan cara merubah pengendalinya dari PLC kemikrokontroler, Pada system ini kita dapat mengontrol volume air berdasarkan timer yang telah di-set.botol yang di isi dapat kita batasi dalam jumlah tertentu.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mencoba melihat naskah Orang-Orang Setia karya Iswadi Pratama bukan lagi sebagai sebuah drama tetapi sebagai mesin kritik sosial. Fokusnya bukan sekadar membedah alur, melainkan melihat bagaimana dramaturgi realis-simbolik di dalamnya membenturkan nasib manusia-manusia marginal dengan tembok kekuasaan yang dingin. Tujuannya adalah untuk menelusuri bagaimana ketegangan dibangun secara pelan tapi pasti melalui dialog antara Rahman dan Sarmin. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan interpretative serta analisis tekstual, setiap elemen dibedah ,mulai dari pemicu konflik yang ganjil hingga klimaks yang menyesakkan. Hasilnya menunjukkan sebuah temuan menarik: naskah ini tidak digerakkan oleh satu orang, melainkan oleh dua tokoh utama yang saling mengunci dalam satu pusaran alur. Struktur ini ternyata bukan cuma soal urusan teknis panggung, tapi adalah ‘senjata’ artistik yang sengaja dirancang untuk menelanjangi ironi penggusuran serta carut-marut ketidakadilan sistemik. Temuan ini pada akhirnya menegaskan bahwa kekuatan naskah ini terletak pada arsitektur dramanya yang mampu bicara jujur soal isu sosial tanpa harus kehilangan bobot estetikanya dalam lanskap teater realis Indonesia.

Abstract

This study developed a microfluidic paper-based analytical device (µPAD) immobilized with p-hydroxybenzoic acid capped silver nanoparticles (AgNPs-PHB) for the colorimetric detection of paraquat (PQ) in water samples. The synthesized AgNPs-PHB exhibited favorable properties, including a nanoscale size (68.5 nm by DLS, 20 nm by TEM), high stability (zeta potential of -53 mV), and a spherical morphology, as confirmed by UV-Vis spectroscopy, PSA, and TEM analysis. The µPAD platform utilized a wax-printed hydrophobic barrier to direct sample flow, enabling a simple and cost-effective detection method. Upon interaction with PQ, AgNPs-PHB underwent aggregation, resulting in a visible color change from yellow to gray, which was quantified using ImageJ software for RGB analysis. The method demonstrated excellent linearity (R2 = 0.9917 for red intensity) across a concentration range of 0.001 - 0.01 M, with a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.00060 M and a limit of quantification (LOQ) of 0.0020 M. Precision tests revealed high repeatability and reproducibility, with intraday and interday %RSD values below 2%. Recovery studies in tap water, drainage water, and well water samples spiked with PQ yielded accurate results (99.7–102.5%), validating the method’s reliability. Compared to conventional techniques, this µPAD-based approach offers a portable, environmentally friendly, and sensitive alternative for monitoring PQ contamination in environmental water samples, making it suitable for field applications.
