Abstract

ABSTRAKPenilaian Kinerja (PK) Guru dalam kenaikan jabatan dan kepangkatan meliputi kegiatan pembelajaran (KBM), pendidikan, pelatihan, pengembangan keprofesian berkelanjutan (PKB), serta kegiatan penunjang lainnya (Permennagpan R&B No. 16/2009). Salah satu kendala utama guru dalam kenaikan pangkat terletak pada kurangnya pemenuhan unsur PKB yang meliputi pengembangan diri, publikasi ilmiah, dan karya inovatif. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan kompetensi khalayak sasaran guru-guru yang tergabung dalam MGMP Bahasa Inggris dalam Publikasi Ilmiah (PI) dam (2) meningkatkan produktivitas khalayak sasaran guru-guru Bahasa Inggris SMK Kota Mataram dalam menghasilkan Publikasi Ilmiah. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulah Agustus – Novermber 2021 dan diikuti oleh 20 orang guru Bahasa Inggris SMK Kota Mataram dan 2 orang mahasiswa Bahasa Inggris dan difasilitasi oleh 4 orang Tim dari PS Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris FKIP Unram. Kegiatan dibagi dalam 3 tahapan, yaitu (i) pembelajaran online melalui Google Classroom, (2) workshop 1 berupa pengembangan proposal; (iii) kerja mandiri dan pendampingan pengembangan proposal, dan (iv) workshop 2 berupa presentasi dan diskusi proposal secara berkelompok. Dari serangkaian kegiatan yang dilakukan, kegiatan PKM ini telah terlaksana sesuai dengan perencanaan. Khalayak sasaran telah memiliki bekal kemampuan pengembangan proposal PTK dan telah menghasilkan 5 proposal PTK secara berkelompok. Untuk menghasilkan produk PTK, kegiatan pendampingan ini akan berlanjut pada tahun 2022. ABSTRACT Teacher Performance Assessment in functional and rank promotion includes learning activities, education, training, continuous professional development, and other supporting activities (Permennagpan R&B No. 16/2009). One of the main obstacles for teachers in promotion lies in the lack of fulfillment of elements of continuous professional development that include self-development, scientific publications, and innovative works. This Community Service program aims to increase the competence of teachers as members of the English MGMP in Scientific Publications as well as to increase the productivity of the English teachers of SMK in Mataram City in producing scientific publications. The program was carried out in August to November 2021 and was attended by 20 English Vocational School teachers of Mataram City and 2 English department students and was facilitated by 4 teams from the English Education Program of FKIP University of Mataram. The activities were divided into 3 stages that included: (i) online learning through Google Classroom, (ii) workshop 1 for proposal development; (iii) independent work and assistance in developing the proposals, and (iv) workshop 2 for presentations and discussion of proposals in groups. The results show that all activities carried out in the program are according to the expected outcomes. Participants have shown the ability to develop and produce 5 CAR proposals in groups. To produce CAR final products i.e. published journal articles, the follow-up activities are scheduled to be continued in 2022.

Abstract

Kegiatan PkM ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan model pembelajaran Flipped Learning (FLM) dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran Bahasa Inggris di kalangan guru-guru SMP di Kota Mataram. Melalui program pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang melibatkan lokakarya dan pendampingan, guru-guru dilatih untuk mengembangkan modul ajar yang inovatif dan sesuai dengan prinsip FLM. FLM adalah model pembelajaran yang membalikkan peran tradisional di kelas, di mana aktivitas pembelajaran utama dilakukan di luar kelas, sementara waktu di kelas digunakan untuk diskusi interaktif dan pembelajaran aktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program ini berhasil meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam merancang dan mengimplementasikan modul ajar berbasis FLM. Selain itu, guru-guru yang terlibat melaporkan peningkatan keterlibatan siswa dan partisipasi aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menyoroti potensi FLM sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa serta memberikan rekomendasi untuk implementasi FLM di sekolah-sekolah lain. Luaran dari kegiatan ini meliputi publikasi ilmiah pada jurnal pendidikan dan pengembangan platform Google Site sebagai media pendukung pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model in improving students’ problem-solving and collaboration skills. The research was motivated by classroom observations indicating low student engagement and suboptimal group cooperation, which in turn affected students’ problem-solving abilities. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection phases. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ problem-solving skills, with the average score increasing from 70 in the first cycle to 86.5 in the second cycle (a 23.6% increase). Collaboration skills also improved substantially, from 65% to 85.67% (a 31.8% increase). In addition, teacher activity levels rose from 78.5% (good) to 91.8% (very good). These improvements were attributed to more effective strategies in guiding tournaments and delivering materials interactively. In conclusion, the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model successfully enhanced students’ problem-solving and collaboration skills while fostering more active teacher engagement in the learning process. This model provided students with opportunities to discuss, express opinions, and work together more effectively in completing learning tasks.

Abstract

The problem underlying this research is the low conceptual understanding and learning outcomes of students on the topic of the Solar System, as well as the learning process that remains teacher-centered and lacks active student engagement. Based on the preliminary study, out of 21 students in class 6A of SDN 05 Cakranegara, only 6 students (29%) achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM), while 15 students (71%) did not. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in improving students’ learning outcomes and critical thinking skills. The research employed the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of two cycles. Research instruments included learning outcome tests, student activity observation sheets, and student perception questionnaires. The results showed a significant improvement in all learning indicators. Teacher and student activities increased from a score of 31 (70% – Fair) in Cycle I to 41 (93% – Excellent) in Cycle II. The implementation of the PjBL learning syntax also improved, from a score of 5 (83% – Good) in Cycle I to 6 (100% – Excellent) in Cycle II. Students’ critical thinking skills increased from 781 (67% – Poor) in Cycle I to 966 (83% – Good) in Cycle II. The most significant improvement was observed in students’ learning outcomes, with the average score rising from 75 (68% – Fair) in Cycle I to 88 (90% – Excellent) in Cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model is effective in enhancing students’ learning outcomes and critical thinking skills on the topic of the Solar System in Grade VI A of SDN 05 Cakranegara.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of the short story Kancil and Buaya by Syirli Martin in learning to write narrative texts for class VII D students at SMP Negeri 1 Mengwi. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research design. The subjects of this research were Indonesian language teachers and students of class VII D of SMP Negeri 1 Mengwi. and the objects in this research are the elements contained in the short story Kancil and Buaya by Syirli Martin, the use of the short story Kancil and Buaya by Syirli Martin in learning to write narrative texts, and the student's ability to write narrative texts by utilizing the short story Kancil and Buaya by Syirli Martin in learning to write narrative texts for class VII D students at SMP Negeri 1 Mengwi. The data collection methods used are observation methods and documentation methods. Using qualitative descriptive data analysis techniques with data reduction steps, data presentation, data interpretation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research are that there are intrinsic elements consisting of theme, plot, characters, setting, language style, message, and point of view. The use of the short story Kancil and Buaya by Syirli Martin in learning to write narrative texts was used as media and material in learning and students' ability to write narrative texts obtained a class average score of 79 in the good category.

Abstract

Leaders must also be able to provide encouragement and motivate employees to work well in order to achieve goals desired by the company. Leadership and motivation have an immediate effect on employee morale. Referring to the fact that researchers interested in conducting research on "The Influence of Leadership and Motivation Against Morale On Vilya Computer Karangasem". This study aims to determine the influence of leadership and motivation on morale at Vilya Computer Karangasem simultaneously and partially. This research was conducted at Vilya Computer Karangasem which is located at Jl. Untung Surapati No.68 X Amlapura-Bali with a total sample of 25 respondents. Variables consist of Leadership, Motivation and Morale. Data source used is primary data and secondary data. The conclusion of this research is that leadership and motivation have positive and significant influence simultantly or partially to work spirit at Vilya Computer Karangasem.

Abstract

Perubahan kurikulum sekolah dari KTSP 2013 menjadi Kurikulum Merdeka memberikan dampak pada guru di sekolah dan dosen LPTK. Guru harus menyesuaikan perangkat dan implementasi pembelajarannya; sedangkan dosen LPTK harus menyesuaikan (merekonstruksi) muatan kurikulum mata kuliah pembelajaran untuk mengakomodasi perkembangan lapangan. Untuk membantu guru bahasa Inggris di sekolah, kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Modul Ajar Inovatif secara kolaboratif berbasis berbagai aplikasi (AI dan aplikasi berbasis permainan) untuk menunjang Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka (IKM). Kegiatan melibatkan 12 guru Bahasa Inggris dari 4 SMP yang berada di Kota Mataram dan 4 mahasiswa FKIP Universitas Mataram dan dilaksanakan secara bauran yaitu 3 kali tatap maya dengan Zoom meeting untuk penanaman konsep dan latihan terbimbing dan 1 kali secara offline untuk kegiatan praktik dan diskusi. Dari serangkaian kegiatan PkM ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan PkM ini telah berjalan sesuai rencana. Khalayak sasaran telah memiliki bekal pengetahuan dan keterampilan terkait modul ajar inovatif, berbagai aplikasi untuk menunjang pengembangan modul ajar inovatif seperti Artificial Intelligence (AI), game-based instruction (quizizz, canva, classpoint, dll.). Khalayak sasaran telah menghasilkan draft modul ajar inovatif dengan menggunakan AI (ChatGPT/Google Bard) dan aplikasi permainan (GBI). Selain hasil di atas, kegiatan PkM ini juga menghasilkan materi pelatihan yang dikemas dengan Google Classroom yang digunakan oleh guru dan mahasiswa untuk pendalaman materi workshop.

Abstract

Professional development dosen dalam bidang pembelajaran sangat urgen dilakukan. Dengan input dosen yang berasal dari pendidikan dan non-kependidikan, lembaga harus memikirkan pola pimbinaan dosen-dosen yang baru direkrut untuk memberikan bekal dan pengembangan komptensi pedagogis dalam pembelajaran orang dewasa. Saat ini pembinaan pengembangan kompetensi pedagogis dosen sangat minim dilakukan. PEKERTI dan Applied Approach yang selama ini dilakukan belum memberikan bekal memadai bagi dosen untuk menjalankan dharma pendidikan mengingat kuota setiap tahunnya sangat terbatas serta penekanan lebih kepada pengambangan RPS (Pekerti) dan Buku Ajar (AA).Kegiatan ini menawarkan akselari peningkatan kompetensi pedagogis melalui program studi dengan menerapkan Pola Lesson Studi for Learning Community (LSLC), yaitu model pengembangan profesionalisme guru secara kolaboratif dengan melaksanakan PLAN, DO, SEE, dan REDESIGN secara bersama-sama. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogis dosen-dosen Politektik Pariwisata Praya Lombok Tengah dengan Pola LSLC. Khalayak sasaran dari program ini adalah 10 dosen-dosen junior dan didampingi oleh dosen-dosen senior dari program studi yang memiliki pengalaman LSLC. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan memperkenalkan konsep LSLC yang meliputi 4 (empat) tahapan yaitu perencanaan bersama (PLAN), buka kelas (DO), refleksi (SEE), dan perancangan ulang (REDESIGN).

Abstract

Guru dan dosen harus terus mencari format pengembangan diri untuk dapat melaksanakan pembelajaran sesuai dengan tuntutan jaman. Kegiatan ini merupakan rangkaian dari upaya peningkatan kompetensi pedagogis guru dan dosen melalui Program Kemitraan Dosen LPTK dengan Guru (KDS) yang diselenggarakan oleh Direktorat Sumber Daya Kemendikbudristek RI, yang diselenggarakan di sekolah (Out_Class Training #1) dan di kampus (Out-Class Training #2). Tujuan dari kegiatan OCT#2 adalah (2) melakukan rekonstruksi mata kuliah (ELT LPD) berdasarkan hasil kegiatan OCT#1 di sekolah; (2) meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogis dosen PS Pendidikan Bahasa Inggis FKIP Unram. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan Pola Lesson Study for Learning Community, yang terdiri dari perencanaan bersama (plan), open class (do), refleksi pembelajaran (see), dan rencana tindak lanjut (redesign). Kegiatan melibatkan 6 orang dosen PS Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Unram, Pengawas Pendidikan Kota Mataram, 4 guru Bahasa Inggris SMPN 14 Mataram. Dari rangkaian kegiatan OCT#2, telah dihasilkan (1) rekonstruksi mata kuliah ELT LPD berdasarkan hasil kegiatan OCT#1; (2) Chapter Design dan Lesson Design 2 Sub-CMK mata kuliah ELT LPD; (3) keterlaksanaan program LSLC (dari plan sampai redesign) sebanyak 2 siklus dengan melibatkan mahasiswa kelas 5CG1 dsn 5CG2 PSP Bahasa Inggris Unram. Dari hasil pengamatan dan refleksi pembelajaran, dosen yang terlibat dapat memetik pembelajaran (lesson learned) terkait perencanaan, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, dan refleksi pembelajaran secara kolaboratif. Implementasi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Flipped Learning Model mampu membuat kelas lebih dinamis baik dalam pembelajaran di luar kelas maupun di dalam kelas. Model ini mampu meningkatkan partisipasi, kolaborasi, komunikasi, dan critical thinking mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study addresses the challenges English Education students face in developing relationships, motivation, and engaging instruction in English classes. The research design is descriptive qualitative research, and the data collection methods include observation sheets, interviews, and document analysis. The study participants are five students who participated in the Kampus Mengajar or Campus Teaching (KM) program at University of Mataram and seek to identify the problems they encounter in classroom management, how they solve them, and how well they manage their classrooms. The result of both observation and interview founded that there are included six problems faced by KM-5 students during teaching practice i.e., (1) Naughty students, (2) Underestimate the teacher, (3) Hyper active students, (4) Passive students in learning activities, (5) Crowded classes and (6) Bored students. The efforts given by the KM students in dealing with the problems are building good teacher-student relationships, making the lesson more attractive, giving a small gift to catch students' attention, giving word motivation, changing students' seat positions, and making some games related to the topic discussion. The results highlight the need for further support and development opportunities for student teachers to enhance their classroom management skills and teaching practice.
