Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 telah memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk dunia seni dan budaya di Bali. Khususnya seniman patung Bali, yang dikenal dengan keterampilan dan keindahan karya mereka, yang sudah terkenal di manca negara. Namun ketika pandemi melanda, seniman patung bali yang bergabung di B.I.A.S.A menjadi sedikit kebingungan untuk menetukan arah jalan karena menyangkut kehidupan dan pelestarian budaya. seniman menunjukan seperti dipersimpangan jalan, sehingga ada yang bertahan, tetap dan ada juga yang beralih dari pematung. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan teori kreativitas dan teori perubahan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif serta didukung teknik pengumpulan data, kepustakaan, observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan analisis data. Dengan demikian seniman pematung bali ada yang masih tetap beraktivitas membuat patung, ada juga yang beralih ke pekerjaan yang lain sehingga tetap bisa memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pandemi Covid 19 membawa perubahan dasyat pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran di seluruh Indonesia. Guru tiba-tiba diwajibkan untuk menerapkan pembelajaran dari rumah (BDR). Kegiatan BDR secara mendadak menimbulkan kepanikan guru karena telah terbiasa dengan pembelajaran total tatap muka. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu guru dalam menyelenggarakan pembelajaran daring dengan melakukan kegiatan workshop dan pendampingan. Kahalayak sasaran strategis dari kegiatan ini adalah 30 guru SDN 26 Mataram dan guru dari sekolah pengimbas guru SDN 5 Mataram dan SDN 7 Mataram. Materi kegiatan antara lain: Konsep pembelajaran daring, Pengembangan Google Classroom, Google Forms, dan Google Meet, dan Integrasi GF, GM ke dalam GC. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan PkM ini telah mampu membekali peserta dengan pengetahuan tentang pembelajaran daring dan keterampilan mengembangkan GC, GF, dan GM serta mampu mengitegrasikan GF, GM ke dalam GC. ABSTRACT The Covid 19 pandemic has brought tremendous changes to the implementation of learning throughout Indonesia. Teachers are suddenly required to apply learning from home (LfH)). The sudden change causesteachers panic because they are in comfort zone applying face-to-face meetings. This community service aims to assist teachers in organizing online learning by conducting workshops and mentoring. The strategic targets of this activity are 30 teachers from SDN 26 Mataram, SDN 5 Mataram, and SDN 7 Mataram. The materials cover online learning concepts, development of Google Classroom, Google Forms, andGoogle Meet, and Integration of GF, GM into GC. The results show that this community service has been able to equip participants with knowledge about online learning and with skills to develop GC, GF, and GM and to integrate GF, GM into GC.

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) melalui penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis game edukatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus di kelas V dengan subjek sebanyak 28 siswa. Pelaksanaan setiap siklus mencakup tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan, serta refleksi. Dalam pembelajaran, digunakan media game interaktif yang dibuat dengan platform seperti Wordwall, Quizizz, dan Educaplay guna menunjang keterlibatan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan baik dalam minat belajar maupun hasil belajar siswa. Pada tahap awal atau pra-siklus, tingkat ketuntasan belajar dan minat siswa tergolong rendah. Pelaksanaan tindakan pada siklus I menunjukkan adanya peningkatan, namun belum memenuhi standar keberhasilan klasikal yang ditetapkan. pada siklus II dilakukan revisi terhadap desain game agar lebih menarik dan menantang, serta peningkatan efektivitas pembelajaran melalui strategi yang lebih partisipatif dan kolaboratif. Hasilnya, capaian belajar siswa mengalami lonjakan yang cukup signifikan dengan rata-rata nilai mencapai 83,1 dan tingkat ketuntasan sebesar 79%. Minat belajar siswa meningkat signifikan, dari 60% pada pra-siklus menjadi 78,07% setelah siklus II selesai dilaksanakan. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran berbasis game edukatif terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa serta layak diterapkan sebagai pendekatan inovatif dalam pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the Mind Mapping technique in improving junior high school students’ ability to organize ideas when writing descriptive texts at one of the public Islamic schools in West Lombok. A quasi-experimental design was used, consisting of two groups of seventh-grade students: an experimental group that received instruction through Mind Mapping and a control group that was taught using conventional methods. Before the treatment, students’ initial writing ability was relatively low, as indicated by the pre-test mean score of 60.25, showing limited skills in organizing ideas clearly and coherently. Mind Mapping, defined in this study as a visual technique that helps students generate, connect, and structure ideas through branching diagrams starting from a central concept, was applied over three instructional sessions using the Right Column Mind Map. Data were obtained from pre-test and post-test activities involving writing tasks describing a person and analyzed using an independent samples t-test in SPSS 31, including normality and homogeneity tests, to determine the significance of differences between the two groups. The findings indicated that the experimental group experienced a notable improvement, with their mean score increasing from 60.25 on the pre-test to 79.42 on the post-test—an overall gain of 19.17 points. Meanwhile, the control group’s improvement was limited to 10.41 points. The independent samples t-test showed that this difference was statistically significant (p = .001 < .05). A further analysis revealed that Mind Mapping improved three aspects of idea organization: unity (maintaining focus on the central idea), completeness (expanding relevant supporting details), and coherence (ensuring logical sequencing and smooth transitions between ideas). Thus, the null hypothesis (H?), which stated that Mind Mapping does not significantly enhance students’ ability to organize ideas, was rejected. In contrast, the alternative hypothesis (H?) was accepted. These findings imply that teachers can adopt Mind Mapping as an effective pre-writing strategy to help students plan and organize ideas more systematically, thereby supporting the objectives of the Merdeka Curriculum in fostering creativity, critical thinking, and structured writing.

Abstract

Guru dituntut untuk terus mengembangkan diri baik terkait pembelajaran maupun dalam pengembangan keilmuan melalui menulis publikasi ilmiah. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini mendorong para guru untuk melakukan inovasi pembelajaran dan mendesiminasikan kepada guru dan calon guru. Tujuan dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah untuk meningkatkan produktivitas guru dalam menulis ide-ide pembelajaran berdasarkan pengalaman terbaik mereka selama mengajar. Kegiatan ini merupakan kerjasama antara Tim Pengabdian PSP Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris FKIP Unram dengan MGMP Bahasa Inggris SMP Kota Mataram. Kegiatan secara keseluruhan berdurasi 32 jam dan dilaksanakan secara bauran (blended) - online dan offline - dengan melibatkan 20 peserta (guru, dosen, mahasiswa). Dari serangkaian kegiatan PkM, dapat disimpulkan (1) kegiatan PkM ini telah dilaksanakan sesuai dengan perencanaan berupa kegiatan pengembangan konsep, pengembangan tugas mandiri, pendampingan, dan konsolidasi; (2) khalayak sasaran telah memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengembangan ide pembelajaran; (3) telah dihasilkan 25 karya ide pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Khalayak sasaran memberikan respon positif terhadap kegiatan PkM pengembangan ide pembelajaran.

Abstract

One of the challenges faced by students in writing scientific publications is how to properly conduct citation and referencing. Most students still rely on traditional methods. With the rapid development of technology, various applications have been created to simplify citation and reference management. This activity aims to provide knowledge and skills in utilizing Mendeley and Zotero to generate citations and references automatically. The program was carried out through interactive lectures and hands-on assistance in using digital applications for citation and reference creation. It involved 34 seventh-semester students of the English Education Study Program, FKIP, University of Mataram, facilitated by English lecturers. The materials presented included the role of citations and references in scientific writing, installation of Mendeley and Zotero, data input practice, and training on generating automatic citations and references. Survey results show that the activity was well-implemented and aligned with the plan. All participants (100%) gained knowledge about the use of Mendeley and Zotero, almost all participants (96.8%) successfully installed both applications, and 89.9% felt confident that they would be able to apply these tools in their future academic writing tasks. Responses from the open-ended questions also indicated positive feedback from the participants.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di SMP Kota Mataram masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, antara lain rendahnya partisipasi, kolaborasi, dan komunikasi siswa, dominasi pembelajaran yang berfokus pada unsur kebahasaan, serta minimnya kultur kolaborasi profesional antar-guru. Kondisi ini berimplikasi pada belum optimalnya pengembangan kompetensi komunikatif siswa dan terbatasnya inovasi pembelajaran di kelas. Menjawab permasalahan tersebut, Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris FKIP Universitas Mataram bekerja sama dengan MGMP Bahasa Inggris Kota Mataram melaksanakan program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat berupa implementasi Lesson Study for Learning Community untuk pengembangan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris berbasis Flipped Learning Model. Kegiatan melibatkan 15 guru Bahasa Inggris SMP dan dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan Blended Learning yang memadukan pemanfaatan Learning Management System berbasis Google Sites, pembekalan konsep secara daring, pendampingan intensif, serta lokakarya tatap muka yang mengakomodasi siklus LSLC Plan–Do–See. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan platform digital efektif mendukung kesiapan guru, LSLC berhasil mentransformasi cara kerja guru dari praktik yang terisolasi menuju komunitas belajar yang kolaboratif, dan penerapan FLM pada Open Class mampu meningkatkan partisipasi siswa, meskipun tetap ditemukan tantangan terkait manajemen atensi. Secara keseluruhan, program ini terbukti memperkuat kompetensi pedagogis guru, menumbuhkan budaya refleksi berbasis data, dan mendorong terwujudnya pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris yang lebih aktif dan berpusat pada siswa.

Abstract

Pharmacy students require tailored English language skills to support their academic and professional needs. Traditional approaches often fail to address diverse learning preferences, technological advancements, and specific linguistic demands. This study aimed to develop an innovative blended English language learning module using the Whole-Part-Whole (WPW) model to support Project-Based Learning (PjBL) for Pharmacy students at the University of Mataram. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) approach, this study utilized the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Data were collected through document reviews, FGDs, interviews, observations, and questionnaires and analyzed using quantitative and qualitative methods based on Miles and Huberman's model. The module design successfully integrated ESP, TPACK principles, Blended Learning, WPW structure, and PjBL strategy. Students reported improved engagement, confidence in English use, and collaborative skills. Experts’ evaluations also confirmed the module’s effectiveness. The WPW-based blended English module supports Pharmacy students’ diverse learning needs and enhances language proficiency, collaboration, and 21st-century skills. Future research should expand its application to other disciplines and update digital content continually.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas penerapan teknik mozaik dalam meningkatkan ketekunan dan estetika visual peserta didik pada pembelajaran seni rupa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi pada setiap siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP negeri. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, penilaian karya, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi, yang selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan ketekunan siswa yang ditunjukkan melalui kemampuan bekerja secara lebih sabar, fokus, dan konsisten selama proses berkarya. Selain itu, kualitas estetika visual karya siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, yang tercermin dari komposisi yang lebih harmonis, tingkat kerapian yang lebih baik, serta keselarasan warna yang lebih optimal. Dengan demikian, penerapan teknik mozaik terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar serta membentuk karakter positif siswa melalui aktivitas kreatif yang bermakna. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of applying mosaic techniques in enhancing students’ perseverance and visual aesthetics in art learning. The research employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were eighth-grade students at a public junior high school. Data were collected through observation, artwork assessment, field notes, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using both descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The findings indicate an improvement in students’ perseverance, as reflected in their ability to work with greater patience, focus, and consistency during the creative process. Furthermore, the visual aesthetic quality of students’ artworks also showed improvement, as evidenced by more harmonious compositions, better neatness, and more optimal color harmony. Thus, the application of mosaic techniques is proven to be effective in increasing learning motivation and fostering positive character development through meaningful creative activities.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) has brought significant changes to instructional practices, requiring teachers to possess strong digital literacy and the ability to integrate technology into learning design. The workshop on the utilization of ChatGPT and Magic School for elementary school teachers in Gugus 1, Sandubaya District, was conducted to enhance teachers’ understanding and skills in developing AI-based instructional materials. Through interactive lectures, demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and guided mentoring, participants gained comprehensive experience in using AI to generate teaching materials, assessment items, scoring rubrics, and other instructional tools. Survey results indicated that participants found the program highly beneficial, particularly in accelerating the preparation of learning materials and increasing their confidence in implementing technology in the classroom. These findings affirm the substantial potential of AI in supporting teachers' roles as facilitators of 21st-century learning. The activity also opens opportunities for follow-up programs, including advanced training aimed at strengthening teachers’ professional development and digital literacy on an ongoing basis.
