Abstract

Pendidikan matematika sering menghadapi tantangan karena rendahnya motivasi siswa dan sifat abstrak dari topik seperti transformasi geometris. Metode tradisional gagal melibatkan siswa, membutuhkan pendekatan inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul transformasi geometri berbasis STEM yang dibantu oleh pemrograman Scratch untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan pemahaman konseptual siswa. Dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp (2013), penelitian melibatkan tiga fase: penelitian pendahuluan (analisis kebutuhan), pembuatan prototipe (desain dan validasi modul), dan penilaian (uji coba terbatas dengan 30 siswa kelas sembilan). Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar validasi, kuesioner guru/siswa, dan survei motivasi, dianalisis secara kuantitatif untuk validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas. Modul ini divalidasi sebagai "valid" (skor rata-rata 3,33) dan "praktis" (tanggapan siswa rata-rata 3,25; respon guru rata-rata 3,08). Survei motivasi menunjukkan 66,7% siswa mencapai tingkat motivasi "tinggi". Namun, uji coba skala besar diperlukan untuk penerapan yang lebih luas. Modul ini berhasil mengintegrasikan STEM dan Scratch untuk membuat pembelajaran interaktif dan relevan secara kontekstual, menawarkan model potensial untuk meningkatkan pendidikan matematika. Penelitian di masa depan harus memperluas uji coba dan mengevaluasi dampak pada pemikiran kritis dan kreativitas.

Abstract

The lack of instructional media that effectively integrates Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and STEM approaches in mathematics learning, particularly on the topic of Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV), poses a challenge in enhancing students’ problem-solving skills. This study aims to explore the development process and examine the quality of a PjBL-based e-module oriented with STEM to improve students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities. This research adopts a research and development (R&D) design, comprising three main phases: preliminary research, prototyping, and evaluation. The participants included 90 students selected through random sampling and 2 teachers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using observation, interviews, document analysis, and tests, with instruments such as observation sheets, interview guides, field notes, and problem-solving test items. The data were analyzed qualitatively using Miles and Huberman’s technique and quantitatively through descriptive statistics. The results indicate that the developed e-module meets the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective for mathematics instruction. These findings suggest that integrating PjBL and STEM into e-modules offers an innovative solution for enhancing students’ problem-solving skills in mathematics.

Abstract

Error analysis is a process of reviewing students' answers to identify patterns of understanding. Errors in mathematics are considered as deviations from the actual solution of a problem. The aim of the study is to analyze student errors based on the Watson error category learning circle. In this study students were given 5 essay mathematical problems, and then analyzed their errors based on 8 Watson error categories and continued by interviewing 1 student for each category of error. This study was conducted at SMP PGRI 3 Denpasar in a class on IX grade with 40 students. The results show that the percentage of student errors categories obtained from this study as follows: comprehension errors 54%, transformation errors 18%, process skills errors 15%, encoding errors 7%. Students are interviewed to find out carelessness and motivation that affect students' mistakes. While for question form category we found no errors.

Abstract

MURDER cooperative learning model is based on cognitive theory that focuses on how humans acquire, embed, and process what they learn, as well as how the thinking and learning process occurs. This study aims to (1) determine whether the Edmodo-assisted MURDER cooperative learning model has a positive effect on students' problem solving ability and students’ motivation in learning mathematics (2) determine whether the Edmodo-assisted MURDER cooperative learning model has a positive effect on students' mathematical problem solving abilities (3) to determine whether the The MURDER cooperative learning model assisted by edmodo has a positive effect on students' motivation to learn mathematics. The research method used is a quasi experiment (quasi experiment) with the research hypothesis testing technique used is MANOVA. The experimental results show that (1) the problem solving ability and motivation to learn mathematics of students who take the Edmodo-assisted MURDER cooperative learning model is significantly better than problem solving ability and motivation to learn mathematics of students who take conventional learning, (2) the mathematics problem solving ability of students who following the Edmodo-assisted MURDER cooperative learning model is significantly better than the mathematics problem solving ability of students who take conventional learning, (3) the motivation to learn mathematics of students who take the Edmodo-assisted MURDER cooperative learning model is significantly better than the motivation to learn mathematics of students who take conventional learning .

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop a project-based e-module to improve the computational thinking skills in learning statistics. The research subjects were 15 of eight-grade students in class A and 32 students in class E. The research has succeeded in developing the learning module assisted by Scratch which found to be valid and effective in improving students' mathematical computational thinking skills. This is supported by the validation result of 3.10 with a valid category. Student responses to the e-module obtained an average score of 3.57 in the very practical category. The teacher's response to the e-module obtained a score of 3.40 in the practical category. The effectivity test of the module toward students' mathematical problem solving ability found that n-gain score was 68.93. These results conform that the developed e-module meets the valid, practical and effective criteria. Keywords: e-module, project based learning, computational thinking. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengembangan e-modul project-based learning berbantuan scratch untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir komputasi siswa SMP Neger 2 Kuta. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII A yang berjumlah 15 orang serta kelas VIII E yang berjumlah 32 orang. Penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan pada kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kuta ini telah berhasil mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran meliputi E-Modul berorientasi PjBL berbantuan Scratch yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir komputasi matematis peserta didik. Hal ini didukung dengan hasil skor validasi dari para ahli sebesar 3,10 dengan kategori valid. Respon peserta didik terhadap E-Modul diperoleh rata-rata skor 3,57 dengan kategori sangat praktis. Respon guru terhadap E-Modul diperoleh skor 3,40 dengan kategori praktis. Hasil gain score tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik sebesar 68,93 tergolong dalam kategori “efektif”. Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir komputasi siswa kelas V masih rendah, terutama dalam memahami konsep pecahan. Kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika berbasis pecahan menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kendala dalam dekomposisi masalah, abstraksi, serta penerapan pola dan algoritma. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan game edukasi berbasis game-based learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir komputasi siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model Plomp. Subjek penelitian melibatkan sejumlah siswa kelas V, sementara uji coba produk dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu uji coba terbatas, uji coba lapangan I, dan uji coba lapangan II. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara, angket LORI dan UEQ, serta tes pre-test dan post-test. adalah lembar angket yang menggunakan skala likert. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji kelayakan, uji kepraktisan menggunakan metode UEQ, serta uji efektivitas menggunakan n-gain score. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa game edukasi memperoleh skor kelayakan dengan kriteria sangat layak. Uji coba lapangan tahap I dan II menunjukkan kepraktisan dengan kriteria sangat baik. Pengujian efektivitas melalui n-gain score menghasilkan nilai rata-rata yang termasuk dalam kategori efektivitas tinggi. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa game edukasi yang dikembangkan dapat menjadi solusi inovatif dalam pembelajaran pecahan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir komputasi siswa. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi game-based learning dalam pembelajaran matematika dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa.

Abstract

Environmental education is a critical government initiative in Indonesia, aiming to cultivate students' environmental awareness. Given the urgent need for students to engage with real-world environmental challenges, this study developed and evaluated a socio-scientific issues (SSI)-based module. The module's primary goal was to deepen students' understanding of local environmental problems and encourage their active participation in preservation efforts. A Research and Development approach, specifically the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation), guided this research. Data collection utilizes quantitative and qualitative methods. Qualitative data included insights from validation sheets and response questionnaires completed by expert lecturers and students. Quantitative data, in the form of essay questions, were gathered through pre- and post-tests to assess changes in students' environmental awareness after module implementation. The results demonstrated the SSI module's strong validity and effectiveness. Three expert lecturers rated the module with an average validity score of 85, categorized as "good," affirming its sound pedagogical and scientific design. Student evaluations were also overwhelmingly positive, yielding an average score of 89, placing it in the "very good" category. Crucially, the module significantly increased students' awareness of environmental problems. Quantitatively, the average student score rose from 81.25 in the pre-module assessment to 86.25 post-module engagement. These findings highlight the SSI module as an effective and valuable tool for empowering students to learn about and contribute to environmental preservation

Abstract

The rainbow connection was first introduced by Chartrand in 2006 and then in 2009 Krivelevich and Yuster first time introduced the rainbow vertex connection. Let graph be a connected graph. The rainbow vertex-connection is the assignment of color to the vertices of a graph , if every vertex on the graph is connected by a path graph that has interior vertices in different colors. The minimum number of colors from the rainbow vertex coloring in the graph is called rainbow vertex connection number which is denoted . The results of the research are the rainbow vertex connection number of bull graph, net graph, triangular ladder graph, and graph composition (Pn[P1]).

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi digital yang pesat, khususnya Artificial Intelligence (AI), telah mendorong inovasi dalam dunia pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-modul matematika berbasis AI dengan pendekatan Discovery Learning guna meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi persamaan kuadrat. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp yang terdiri atas empat tahap: Preliminary Research, Prototyping, Assessment, dan Implementation. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi lembar observasi, lembar validasi, tes keefektifan, dan angket kepraktisan. Hasil validasi awal menunjukkan skor 3,17 (kurang valid), sehingga dilakukan revisi pada aspek kejelasan konten, antarmuka, dan penerapan sintaks Discovery Learning. Uji coba terbatas menunjukkan hasil kepraktisan yang baik, namun skor tes masih rendah (65,75). Pada Uji Coba Lapangan II terjadi peningkatan signifikan dengan skor post-test mencapai 82,83 dan kepraktisan dinilai sangat praktis (3,69). Implementasi akhir menghasilkan skor efektivitas rata-rata sebesar 86,25. E-modul ini dilengkapi fitur sintaks Discovery Learning, umpan balik melalui Gemini AI, visualisasi interaktif, dan akses daring melalui Streamlit–Colab–Ngrok. Keterbatasan produk terletak pada penggunaan AI non-generatif dan kendala teknis seperti durasi sesi Ngrok yang terbatas. Secara keseluruhan, e-modul yang dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan efektif sebagai media pembelajaran digital pada materi persamaan kuadrat.
