Abstract

The quality of a believer’s faith in Islam is evidenced through their interactions in a social context, with zakat being a critical religious duty that transcends mere ritualistic worship to embody profound social implications. This study explores the reconstruction of zakat within Sharia philanthropy to enhance its effectiveness in alleviating poverty and supporting sustainable welfare. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the research involves an extensive literature review and data analysis from various sources. Findings indicate that zakat, when managed properly, significantly improves the economic well-being of the ummah, particularly among the poor and the eight designated beneficiaries. The article identifies critical factors facilitating zakat reconstruction, such as legal frameworks, community engagement, and technological advancements. It also highlights the challenges in zakat management, including regulatory issues and inefficiencies in distribution. The implications of reconstructing zakat within Sharia philanthropy include enhanced transparency, efficiency, and impact on social welfare, transforming recipients from passive beneficiaries into active, productive community members. This article contributes to the discourse on Islamic social finance by proposing a structured approach to optimizing zakat practices, thereby aligning them with the aspirations of the Muslim community for equitable economic development.

Abstract

Pati jagung adalah eksipien telah banyak digunakan dalam pembuatan sediaan tablet sebagai filler, binder dan disintegrant. Pati memiliki dua komponen yaitu amilosa dan amilopektin. Amilosa dan amilopektin berperan terhadap sifat fisik dan kimia pada pati yang berpengaruh pada tingkat pembengkakan granula pati. Pati alami mengandung banyak amilosa sehingga bersifat kering, kurangnya daya lekat, dan cenderung menyerap banyak air. Modifikasi pati dilakukan untuk memperbaiki sifat-sifat tersebut. Modifikasi dilakukan dengan menambahkan xanthan gum (XG) dengan crosslinking agent asam sitrat. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk membandingkan karakterisasi pati jagung (uji FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy), swelling, kecepatan alir dan sudut diam) yang telah dimodifikasi secara crosslinking pada penambahan variasi konsentrasi XG terhadap pati yang tidak dimodifikasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan XG dengan variasi konsentrasi 5%, 10%, dan 20% dengan asam sitrat, dan formula 0 sebagai kontrol negatif (XG 5% tanpa asam sitrat). Hasil modifikasi menunjukan adanya pembentukan crosslink pada formula 1, 2, dan 3 ditandai dengan terbentuknya gugus C=O (ester) dengan uji FTIR pada panjang gelombang 1713,94cm-1 , 1714,38cm-1 , dan 1714,63cm-1. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai swelling power yang semakin besar,kecepatan alir yang semakin meningkat yaitu 6,52 g/detik, 9,90 g/detik dan 11,62 g/detik dan sudut diam yang semakin tinggi 23,93o, 24,56o, dan 26,54o.

Abstract

Current technological developments are in line with the increasing consumption of electrical energy. There is a value of power losses of the electricity transmission process caused by an increase in the value of power losses, to overcome this, SVC (Static VAR Compensator) of the Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) can be used. From previous studies, the optimization of SVC placement in the transmission network has not been carried out to get better power losses. This research uses the Improved-Sine Cosine Algorithm (ISCA) that has a different function of r1 compared to the ordinary SCA, in which the use of the ISCA method is able to overcome the weaknesses of the SCA method. The determination of location and capacity can use more than one objective function. From the result, the optimization of SVC placement and capacity is able to reduce the value of power losses by up to 85%.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter harus menjadi pusat perhatian di dunia pendidikan, karena sejatinya karakter baik tidak dapat muncul begitu saja. pendidikan karakter isebagai suatu cara yang berlangsung sepanjang hayat dalam membentuk kebiasaan baik atas sikap dan perilaku pada generasi bangsa. Penulisan artikel ini menggunakan istudi kepustakaan. Kemudian teknik yang digunakan yaitu pengumpulan data melalui beberapa sumber seperti jurnal, artikel, skripsi, tesis, dan informasi lainnya yang relevan dengan artikel ini. Studi kepustakaan diartikan sebagai metode penulisan dari hasil pencarian teori tentunya yang relevan. Tahapan studi kepustakaan artikel ini yaitu memilih data, menyederhanakan data yang diperoleh, penjabaran data, dan penarikan kesimpulan data- data yang diteliti. Data yang digunakan adalah idata primer berupa jurnal ilmiah, artikel, dan skripsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh program pendidikan karakter terhadap kepribadian isiswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi program pendidikan karakter memiliki dampak positif dalam membentuk etika dan kepribadian positif pada siswa. Strategi dan metode yang digunakan idalam program ini secara signifikan mempengaruhi perubahan perilaku siswa, terutama dalam aspek integritas, empati, dan kedisiplinan.

Abstract

This research aims to elucidate how criminal law disparities against perpetrators of sexual violence against children manifest based on Islamic law in Indonesia. The legal disparities indicate that child victims of sexual violence have not received comprehensive legal justice. This study adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, collecting data through exploration and reading online media with the keywords 'sexual violence against children in Indonesia' on the Google search engine. This paper reveals that legal imbalances have undermined the value of justice for child victims of sexual crimes, affecting them both psychologically and physically, and leading to other consequences such as dropping out of school, forced marriage to the perpetrator, and suicide. This study is crucial to bring about justice based on Islamic law for child victims of sexual crimes, juxtaposed with Pancasila justice. It highlights that the criminal legal disparities in cases of sexual violence consistently place children as the disadvantaged objects of legal justice. True legal inequality would not occur if the application of the law is based on Islamic Law grounded in divine values, as the punishment for perpetrators of sexual violence in Islam can be judged as hudud crimes, qhisas crimes, and ta'zir crimes.

Abstract

PLTU Teluk Sirih is a coal-fired steam power plant as an energy source that produces ash with a capacity of 2 . The compressor is a medium for transferring ash by using compressed air. The compressor used is a SCREEW OIL INJECTED SULLAIR LS20-150H compressor. Currently there is a decrease in performance on the compressor, which initially had a compression ratio of 1,600 Psia, polytropic head 14,500,599, capacity 10,938,438, flow rate 11,379,622 lb/s, efficiency 98.5%. After analyzing this compressor, the data obtained was a compression ratio of 1,540 Psia, polytropic head 13,805,166, capacity 10,950,733, flow rate 11,392,412, and efficiency of 95.3%. The reason is because the compressor room area does not have an active blower so that dirt/ash stuck to the radiator fins causes heat transfer to be hampered and this greatly affects the performance of the compressor parts to work optimally

Abstract

Banjarmasin, frequently referred to as the "City of a Thousand Rivers," is endowed with substantial natural resources, among which is the prolific aquatic weed Eichhornia crassipes (water hyacinth). Although conventionally regarded as an environmental pest, this Research examines its viability as a sustainable raw material for local handicraft manufacturing, to stimulate economic advancement within the community. Using a qualitative methodology, data were collected through in-depth interviews and participant observation with the "Ilung Benawa" weaving collective. The study seeks to: (1) assess the economic implications of water hyacinth handicraft production; (2) pinpoint principal challenges in its development; and (3) advance strategic recommendations for sectoral growth. The findings reveal that water hyacinth is successfully converted into marketable goods—such as bags, hampers, and home décor—that provide supplementary income to local artisans, most of whom are women. Notwithstanding these benefits, persistent constraints include reliance on favourable weather for drying raw materials, limited product and colour diversification, and challenges in scaling production to meet broader market demand. Recommendations underscore the need for targeted governmental and non-governmental support through capital investment, technical training in dyeing and preservation, and the establishment of cooperative frameworks to bolster productive capacity and market penetration. In conclusion, this study affirms that valorising water hyacinth through handicraft production is a feasible dual-purpose strategy that advances both environmental stewardship and sustainable livelihoods, thereby aligning with the wider aims of the circular economy and community resilience.

Abstract

This study examines the pelangkahan tradition in the Malay community of Palembang using ethnographic and genealogical approaches, focusing on its cultural meanings and the dynamics of social change that influence it. This qualitative research uses participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data are analyzed interpretively to understand the practices and meanings of pelangkahan from the perspectives of cultural actors, as well as to trace its origins and shifts in meaning over time. The findings indicate that pelangkahan functions to maintain family harmony, reinforce age hierarchy, and reproduce values of propriety and respect. However, modernization, education, and urbanization have contributed to a shift in pelangkahan from a binding customary obligation to a more flexible and symbolic practice. This study concludes that pelangkahan is a dynamic and adaptive tradition continuously negotiated within the interplay of custom, religion, and contemporary social realities.

Abstract

Permasalahan tingginya ketergantungan pada listrik konvensional dalam usaha hidroponik berdampak pada tingginya biaya operasional dan risiko penurunan produktivitas akibat pemadaman listrik. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Pagifarm Bogor dengan tujuan meningkatkan efisiensi energi dan produktivitas pertanian hidroponik melalui penerapan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) berbasis Internet of Things (IoT). Metode pelaksanaan meliputi survei kebutuhan energi, perancangan dan instalasi sistem PLTS, serta pelatihan teknis kepada mitra mengenai penggunaan dan pemeliharaan sistem. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan pengurangan konsumsi listrik dari PLN hingga 70%, penurunan biaya operasional listrik, serta peningkatan produktivitas tanaman sebesar 10–15% dengan siklus panen yang lebih singkat. Selain itu, mitra mampu mengelola sistem PLTS secara mandiri melalui aplikasi monitoring berbasis IoT. Kesimpulannya, penerapan energi terbarukan berbasis PLTS mampu meningkatkan keberlanjutan usaha hidroponik sekaligus memberikan dampak positif pada aspek ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan.

Abstract

The increase in energy needs to support sustainable development will trigger a large additional power supply. Unfortunately, a current energy source is mostly produced by fossil fuels. This condition can affect the increase of global warming and climate change. Nowadays, many countries including Indonesia are aware of the effect of the use of fossil fuels on environmental devastation. Therefore, the use of clean energy gets more attention from many countries since its energy source is unlimited and harvested from nature. One of the clean energy sources that are widely utilized over the world is photovoltaic (PV). PV is an appropriate clean energy technology to be utilized in Indonesia since this country lies on the equator line and gets solar irradiance over the year. This paper proposed the design of PV systems for a public-school building. These PV schemes proposed in this study are classified into off-grid, on-grid, and hybrid PV systems. From the simulation results, it is shown that the hybrid PV system with energy supplied by PT. PLN (State Electricity Company) results in the highest saving annual cost and provides an environmentally friendly energy source for public-school buildings.
